Remember when the worst thing you could imagine was being kept after class? My, how things have changed! At Kennedy School, you'll never want to leave. Here you can have a pint in a classroom, enjoy an aged whiskey in detention, enjoy a pizza (a beer) and movie on a comfortable couch in the renovated gymnasium/movie theater, or bring our swimming suit and soak in a large hot tub.... Here you'll find a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, soaking pool, gift shop and a brewery (just wait until the principal hears about this!). Extensive original artwork and historical photographs cover the walls, ceilings, doorways and hallways.

If you love sushi you have to visit here. I have lived in Portland since 1990 and I have not found a place that comes close to how good the sushi is here. It is located 6.7 miles from my home and is well worth the drive. They frequently have lines but you tend not to wait more than a 1/2 hour. Trust me, they are easily worth the wait.

In the Spring (March-April)., the cherry trees along the west side of the river are in full bloom and provides a great backdrop for picture taking.

About an hour drive outside of Portland. Sadly, it is by drop in only, no reservations are allowed. There is also a large warm water mineral soaking pool, and a cold water plunge pool steps away. Very invigorating!
