Uptown has a lot to offer. It is very walkable all through the year. Good shopping - Apple store, H&M, Sephora. Excellent gym facilities at YWCA, L.A Fitness , Soul Cycle, many yoga studios. Many restaurant/Bakeries/Ice Cream shops choices at varying price points from Mc Donalds, Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns (low) to fine dining french, italian or american and many other flavors in between (2 thai , 1 vietnamese, 1 ramen, 1 korean, 1 seafood, Vegan(Fig & Farro). Lots of outdoor activities during the summer - water fun on lake Bde Maka Ska - canoes, paddle boats, wind surfing occasionally log rolling). Nice ride shared bikes, scotters , walkable lakes, swimmimg at multiple beach @ Lake Harriet and BdeMka Ska.
