Sightseeing
Within 30 minutes by car you will reach the south part of the archipelago.
Dalarö is a beautiful and charming village to visit, from here you can take a ferry out to smaller islands in the archipelago.
How to reach Dalarö:
Turn left at the first traffic light (road 260) follow this road until you see sign road 73- Nynäshamn, follow this road for 2,7 km and then follow the sign that says Dalarö ( road 227).

Tyresta National Park
If you love nature and hiking and would like to combine that with closeness to Stockholm, this is the place for you!
You have Tyresta National park very close. The best way for you to gather more information aboutTyresta and download a map for the trails and footpath is to visit their homepage:

From the guesthouse the shortest walk to enter the national park, is just to take to the right and walk until Gudö åväg meets Tutviksvägen, you turn left and walk about 1 km until you reach Fiolvägen, turn left again and follow this road until you reach the forest. You have a foot path to the left and you will soon see the lake ( långsjön) on your left side, it will then change in to gammelström ( river) and when you reach the bridge you will have a big map that will show you different trails.
If you prefer to reach Tyresta by the water, it is even easier. You just rent a canoe or kayak from our neighbour and you paddle down the creek to the right and then you will reach Långsjön ( the lake) in just a few minutes, you paddle to the end of the lake to reach Gammelström ( the river) and when you reach the bridge you will have a map on your right side that can guide you how to get to beautiful lakes, islands and rivers through canoe. We strongly recommend you to go to Nyfors. You can actually reach the archipelago if you don't have a problem in lifting the canoe in a few places.

Gålö is a peninsula and nature reserve, with a full five miles of shoreline. There are lots of well marked walking trails and one of the most beautiful, between Morarna and Skälvik, meanders almost in its entirety right next to the water.
There are around eight kilometers in total of terrain that’s undulating in parts but still easy to walk. Bring a picnic and drinks because there is nowhere to buy food during autumn, winter and spring.

If you are looking for nearby grocery stores, Turn left and follow Gudö Åväg until you reach the small roundabout, here you take right. Then right again at the traffic lights. Follow this road until it reaches another roundabout and take left. You have Hemköp and Ica at this small shoppingcenter.

If you would like to reach a bigger grocery store you take left at the first traffic lights and drive approximate 5- 10 minutes and you have a big ICA Maxi + Systembolaget. Systembolaget is where you buy alcohol here in Sweden. Note that Systembolaget is not open on Sundays. The system is quite different here in Sweden, so if you forget and really urge for beer or wine, you can always ask us if we have any extra for sale.

4 ÖsterportIf you would like to reach a bigger grocery store you take left at the first traffic lights and drive approximate 5- 10 minutes and you have a big ICA Maxi + Systembolaget. Systembolaget is where you buy alcohol here in Sweden. Note that Systembolaget is not open on Sundays. The system is quite different here in Sweden, so if you forget and really urge for beer or wine, you can always ask us if we have any extra for sale.
Bath and beaches
If you rent a canoe or kayak and follow the creak to the left, you will reach a much bigger lake, where you can find several beaches and cliffs if you want more privacy.

Public Transportation
Close to the first traffic light on your right side you have the bus station that will take you to Stockholm City. The buses that you can use are:
