A great place to visit and one of my favourites. Great for swimming during summer. Riverside: Wagga Beach
Recently revamped river walk, playground and facilities.
We really enjoyed the new Wagga beach area, BBQ worked and are kept clean, credit to the local Council so keep up the great work.
Keen surfers should keep an eye out for the legendary 5 o' clock wave.

Sightseeing and Fun
Beautifully set out and manicured gardens, picnic areas, a free zoo, a free museum and Miniature Trains which run every 2 weeks. You could spend all day here.
The Botanic gardens are free to enter and a lovely place for anyone to visit, a nice cafe and lots of animals also shady trees to rest under and beautiful grounds.
A miniature railway runs two weekends a month and we always make sure to go on it. and Wagga Wagga Zoo & Aviary is here also. Many beautiful birds to see. All Free.
The Botanic Gardens is just a beautiful and interesting to visit at any time of the year.

NATURE & PARKS: My favourite place for a walk and to look at beauty.
Lake Albert is the main attraction in Wagga Wagga for walking enthusiasts, with its 7k walking tracking around Lake Albert, or boating lovers, having a practical ramp to off load your boat into the water. Or nature lovers with the bird life living on or around the Lake. It has a massive grassed area for picnics or BBQ's or just meeting up with friends. It also has a playground for children, and workout equipment areas for those into fitness. A beautiful addition of great places to visit in Wagga Wagga,

The lake is suitable for water skiing, power boats, dragon boats, jet ski, kayaks..the walking track around the lake is 5 km, and used by walkers, cyclists and joggers.
The Wagga Wagga Boat Club is an excellent place to enjoy the delights of a cold beer with the best outlook of Lake Albert.
Plenty of parking available and a have for kids with the giant sized playground equipped with every possible entertainment for all ages.
