This quaint 16th century coaching inn is a family friendly favourite always has a great atmosphere. It has a garden so great for sunny days and giving the kids some space to run around. The pub and restaurant serves freshly prepared food, has a children's menu and is reasonably priced and serves large portions. I can recommend the Scampi and chips or if you get the fish thats also good but usually a little large for me. Make it part of a trip out to the beautiful beaches and dunes at Beadnell. Set in a lovely village can get very busy at peak times due to nearby caravan site.

This fishing village and harbour has everything you need to keep the kids entertained from mini golf to mini arcades and ice cream. But the best bit about Seahouses is you can take a boat trip across to the Farne Islands and see the Puffins that live their. Also Longstone Lighthouse and Staple Island and afterwards carry on up to the small village for Bamburgh for afternoon tea at the Copper Kettle
