A 15 minute walk from the house, or 2 minute drive, this is a semi-upscale but casual restaurant. The lodge has both a bar area and main dining room. This is one of our favorite places and the closest restaurant to the house -- the food and service are amazing.

Parks & Nature
The Beach Club Marina is a private beach resort on Donner Lake, exclusive to Tahoe Donner members and guests. It's a great beach, with grills, tables, umbrellas, boat rentals, and a snack bar. Parking fills up quickly (you may have to park on the street and walk - or for 2016 summer there is a shuttle from the high school). Don't forget the guest passes! Slightly better than the typical Safeway. Expect lines on weekends and during busy times -- most people in Truckee seem to shop here. During busy times, I'd try to go early in the morning or late at night -- this place can get very crowded!
