“When you turn onto Hazens Notch road, head up about 300 yards. keep an eye out for cars parked along the left hand side on the gravel carveout. You’ll see a “no parking in the street” sign with a dirt path leading up a small hill into the woods. There is a GREAT somewhat secret swimming hole a few minutes walk into the woods. You wont be disappointed!”

“Jay Peak is a four season resort in Northern Vermont, close to Canada and Burlington, and far from anything resembling ordinary. Featuring a year-round indoor waterpark, ice arena, brand new rec center, championship golf course, easygoing disc golf course and, of course, the East's best skiing and snowboarding, Jay offers a mountain getaway for everyone. Bring the kids for summer camp, yourself for live music in the amphitheatre, or the entire staff for a corporate retreat that goes beyond the boardroom. A wide range of accommodation, restaurants and pubs is here to welcome you and yours. It's a place where you'll feel comfortable, well, feeling comfortable, and we believe there's no such thing as doing it wrong, just doing it your own way. After all, what sets us apart is what brings us together.”

“The Long Trial runs the length of Vermont and many folks plan long adventures to do the trail. We have access to a really sweet piece of it 15 min drive up rt 73. Drive to the top of the Brandon Gap and park in the lot on the left hand side. Once you've parked cross the road to climb the Long Trail on the North side of the gap. Its a quick 35-45 hike straight up to a beautiful lookout over the valley. Falcons also nest and breed there so know that there are times that you can't access that lookout but you could stay on the same side of the highway and resource the long trail that way.”

“The most challenging hike in the Central Vermont portion of the Long Trail is the 12 mile hike from the Appalachian Gap (App Gap) to the Lincoln Gap. Your hike can begin at either trail head, either on Route 17 in Fayston or Lincoln Gap Road in Warren. For a less serious day hike from Lincoln Gap Road, try the 5-mile trail to 4000-foot high Mt Abraham.”
