Ski Area
“It's the second most visited tourist destination in France for a reason. It's amazing up there in the high mountains. Year round access to climbing, ski the legendary vallee blanche in winter or just get close to Mont Blanc. The lift pass is expensive but worth it. Make sure you go on the train to the Mer de Glace on the same day to make the most of the pass.”

Mountain
“A rail journey from Wengen, dramatic scenery to delight; all change at the mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg. Tunnel upwards amazingly through the Eiger and Mönch, a passage hewn by pickaxe and completed in 1912. Look out of Eiger north wall and over a sea of ice. Alight at the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 metres. Standing on the Sphinx Observation Deck, the Aletsch Glacier stretches before us, a remnant of the Ice Age, hollowed out and sculpted for the Ice Palace. ‘On clear days, views extend as far as the Vosges mountains in France and Germany’s Black Forest.’* Experience a 360o panorama feature of the mountain world, visit Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven and depending on the season, hike on the glacier or ski, sledge, zipline at the Snow Fun Park. “Its the best panoramic view on lake Geneva. The spot offers a nice restaurant and if you want you can even rent and sleep in one of the Mongolian yurts. You can either walk-up from Montreux (4-5 hours) or take the "Goldenpass" rack railway from Montreux (30min).”

“walk up the steep path under the Brevant lift - not for the faint hearted (requires a bit of a clamber/scramble at the top - no reopes required). Chill at the top and enjoy a beer at the mid station, before getting the cable car back down.”

Punto di osservazione panoramico
“Jungfraujoch! The highest train station in Europe. This is a VERY crowded place to visit as it's one of the most heavily visited tourist spots in Switzerland. It's a pricey train ticket, but worth the trip if you can justify it. Many people travel from around the world solely to see the Jungfraujoch. PRO TIP: take the very first train up for the best chance of good weather and to beat the peak tourist times. ”
