Parco
“Plan for a solid day to do both of these parks. I would actually start driving to Kings Canyon National Park on Highway 180. It takes about 75 minutes and you can visit General Grant Grove Tree and walk a short trail. From there, I would head to Sequoia National Park. It’s another 60 minute drive but you can walk around the Congress Trail (2 mile trail). There are plenty of people on the trail and it’s interesting to see all of the Sequoia’s and how the Sequoia’s need fire because it opens up their seeds to be released. The trees are remarkably fire resistant. On the trail, don’t forget to visit the General Sherman Tree which is the largest single-stem tree in the world. From there, it’s a two hour drive back through Visalia (not the same way you came from). Go through Visalia (which I recommend because going back through the parks is super windy), they have a cute downtown where you can grab dinner or a beer before you head back to Fresno. Prior to your trip, make sure there are no road closures so google Fresno  General Grant Grove (Kings Canyon National Park) General Sherman Tree (Sequoia National Park)  Visalia  Fresno. Check the weather for both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. They are at higher altitudes and there could be snow. *** Cell phone reception is spotty/non-existent once you start hitting the parks. *** Check for entrance fees”
