Parco
“The park's Natural Bridge section features a picturesque rock formation, formed by the force of the waterfall over the basalt cave. It is easily accessible from the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road car park. Follow the easy one kilometre circuit (walk in a clockwise direction) and descend through ancient Gondwana rainforest to the Natural Bridge rock arch. Hoop pines emerging from surrounding forest are living relics of the Jurassic Age, 180 million years ago. During the day spot paradise riflebirds, green catbirds, wompoo fruit-doves and also rare and threatened species like the cascade tree frog, tusked frog, sooty owl and koala. At night join a guided nocturnal tour to see the resident colony of protected glow-worms and microbats. On summer nights, also see luminous fungi and fireflies.”

“An absolute must visit. It is an easy walk for most, although there are stairs if you do the full loop. If you take the path to the left at the start, you will go down the stairs (instead of up) so it is much easier. For anyone who can't manage stairs, just keep to the right at the fork and go check out the waterfall, and then return along the same path. This is a beautiful place to visit.”

“Look in wonder at Antarctic beech trees on the Best of All lookout track. These ancient giants, once widespread across the continent, are one of our remaining links with the prehistoric forests of Gondwana. Pass boulders and trees covered with lichen and moss to reach a spectacular view of Mount Warning and the ocean on the horizon. ”

“A short 15 minute walk from the Farm is Twin Falls or Tallanbanna Circuit. A challenging walk down the escarpment to Warrie Pool. You’ll pass waterfalls, rock caves and rarevrsinforest species. For the more experienced hikers, there’s the 6 hour Warrie Circuit on the same trail available. Pack a bag, sunscreen, water and get set for an amazing day! ”

“For a quick morning coffee head to The Fudge Shop. I've sampled all the coffee on the mountain and there is no clearer winner. You can also pick up some fudge and ice cream on warmer days. ”

“The closets swimming hole to the Retreat is underneath the Twin Falls Waterfall. Just walk out the front of the Retreat and down the small path to your right and you'll arrive at a small lookout called 'Rudders Lookout'. This lookout has expansive views over the Canyon and out over the Gold Coast Skyline. At this point the main trail you are on is called the 'Twin Falls Circuit'. This circuit is about 4kms long. You can decide to either walk it in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction. If you want to swim first then go anticlockwise along the Trail. The entire circuit takes an hour to walk depending on your pace but allow 2 to 3 hours if swimming and taking your time to enjoy your natural surroundings. The best place to enter the swimming hole once you arrive at Twin Falls is to: 1) Go to the lower pathway that looks up at the Waterfall, 2) In front of you will be a large rock that juts out into the swimming hole, 3) Enter from behind and to the left hand side of this rock. This approach doesn't have as many rocks or pebbles underfoot. Try floating on your back and skimming over near or under the waterfall, depending on how much water is flowing. This waterhole is shallow in places where you can stand so please be careful and do not dive into the water. You can also swim at Purling Brook Falls however my preference is Twin Falls since it's so convenient!!”
