  • This is a lovely, secluded, and very comfortable venue, modern decor, excellent amenities. Highly recommended

  • We had a wonderful stay with Janine. The accommodation is exactly as it is listed - like a stay in a luxury boutique hotel. Although part of the main house, the suite has its own separate entrance. We found Janine and her husband on hand for anything we needed - whether restaurant recommendations or ideas for local walks. It's a great space to relax and spend time or just to crash if you need to. The kitchen is directly opposite the room and well stocked by Janine with tea, good coffee, breakfast supplies and juice. Given the quality (and price) of local hotel accommodation, I'd definitely recommend staying here... If it's not booked up already!

  • Janine was the perfect host; warm, welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is exactly as listed if not better! Modern but homely, very comfortable and quiet. Although described as a private room, it was like having the entire home as we had our own kitchen, living room and bathroom. Ilkley moors and the cow and calf rocks are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

  • A perfect stay in a lovely room! We had everything we needed and the location was handy for both the town and the Cow and Calf, stunning views! Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We loved the spacious shower

Want to get away from it all and live the writer's life? Our relaxed house is full of books and has views towards the Dales. Ideally located for visiting all the top attractions: the Yorkshire Dales, Haworth, Ilkley, Skipton, Bolton Abbey, Saltaire. And most importantly, FAST WIFI is available throughout the house! (a rare luxury in this beautiful part of the world). We also give you a free retro Yorkshire Dales souvenir map when you stay with us.
Welcome to our house... It is quirky and late-Victorian with lots of sunlight coming in. The house is charming and isn't perfectly renovated, but it is perfectly comfortable! Downstairs, our favourite part of the house is the central dining room and its big table. Here is where you'll enjoy your breakfast - we have a self-serve breakfast area made from a factory machinist's table. We don't have a TV in the Eastburn writer's house - there's so much to do in and around the area that you wouldn't have time anyway! - and you're free to dip in and out of our always growing book selection while you're here. You're welcome to use the dining room, and you can also relax, read and chat in our cosy lounge complete with traditional comfy armchairs. We have a fully functional kitchen, looking out to a dry stone wall in the lane and the wide distant Yorkshire hill views (think "Last of the Summer Wine"). And the house also has a small enclosed back yard in which to enjoy a glass of wine on the table and chairs. We have space in the kitchen to accommodate two bikes so they'll be safe and secure. And there's free street parking for cars right outside.
We really are located perfectly in the middle of everything that's enjoyable to visit - the best that Yorkshire has to offer! Whichever way you go from Eastburn there's almost too much to see. 15 minutes drive south and you're in beautiful and ever-popular Haworth, steeped in literary history as the home of the Bronte sisters. There's also the Worth Valley Steam Railway, as featured in the classic film The Railway Children. A little further south there's Saltaire, home to the artistic Salt's Mill and Titus Salt's village - a World Heritage Village which has become very fashionable due to the David Hockney paintings exhibited permanently in the mill, which also boasts an irresistible book shop and cafe within. Head east from Eastburn and you'll quickly find yourself in Ilkley - a super charming grand-Victorian town that's home to Yorkshire's greatest concentration of millionaires (and a Betty's tea room). Ilkley moor offers loads of fine walks and panoramic views, and a cafe at the top that serves that old Yorkshire favourite - pie 'n' peas. Head further North East from Ilkley and you can be in Harrogate to visit the other Betty's tea room (go early to avoid the queue!) and wander along the Stray and through the opulently planted Valley Gardens. North of Eastburn you'll find Skipton (only 5 miles away - 10-15 minute drive) - known as "The Gateway to the Dales". This charming market town has held onto its agricultural roots whilst offering a modern cosmopolitain twist (look for the Keelham Farm Shop just out of town), as well as the long-standing 4-day-a-week outdoor market along the high street. Skipton was voted "Best Place to Live in the UK" by The Sunday Times in 2014. Directly above Skipton is the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with attractions including Malham Cove, Grassington, Kettlewell, Burnsall, Settle, Bolton Abbey, and The Three Peaks. Literally too many to mention! The Lake District is also accessible for a same day trip (50 miles from Eastburn). With written records dating back to the 1086 Doomsday book, Eastburn itself is a quaint small village with local walks (including along the picturesque Leeds-Liverpool canal), a post office, a local pub with vintage-style tea room attached, and a very intriguing shabby chic furniture shop that fills three floors of a big old mill. Well worth exploring for furniture lovers or lovers of old buildings! So, phew, in a nutshell we're right in the centre of everything you'll want to see.

  • Martin and Laura have a very pretty place with a lovely view from the guest bedroom. It is ideal for a country escape and to rest and relax from the hustle and bustle of life. All the facilities you need for a quick stay and they provide a simple breakfast in the morning. The parking outside is tight and up on a curb but I didn't have any problems. Will definitely stay again if in that neck of the woods. Thanks both!

My place is close to Ilkley (5 mins car), Harrogate 30 mins , York (45 mins), Skipton 20 mins. Lake District 60 mins, main train line to Leeds from Ilkley.. You’ll love my place because of Amazing walks, stunning country pubs. The Joiners Shop dates back to 1749 and is a stunning detached cottage with its own private garden to the rear overlooking Addingham Moorside. The property is a 20 min walk through fields to the lovely village of Addingham. Zip lock bed in 1 bedroom can be split into 2 .
Stunning semi rural setting, private and secure car parking behind electric gates. Private cottage garden.
We are 9 mins drive from the lively and delightful Ilkley town with its boutique shops, independent coffee bars, restaurants and bars. Michelin stared the famous Box Tree is within 10 mins drive. We are 5 mins away from beautiful Addingham village with local shops and stunning authentic pubs. You may prefer a 20 walk across the fields straight into Addingham village.
  • Our stay at the Joiners Shop was everything we could have asked for and more. Peter went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and the accommodation was perfect. The location was idyllic but shops and restaurants are located only a short drive away. We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and cosy stay in a beautiful cottage. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

  • The Joiner's Shop really is a lovely cottage to stay in. Very clean and tidy and it has everything you need. Whether you want to cook or get a local takeaway and sit in front of a log burning fire and relax. The cottage is not on a busy road and so its very quiet. The lounge had a good entertainment set up too so you can make use of that. The bed was great and we slept very well. Peter greeted us when we arrived and was very accommodating with check in and check out. He also gave us great local knowledge of where to go (Bettys is a must!) And offered to loan us wellies and give us directions if we wanted to go walking. All in all a lovely stay and we would definitely book this cottage again! Simon and Danielle.

  • Thank you so much for the lovely warm welcome with the fire going for our arrival. The cottage is in a stunning rural spot but with Addingham and Ilkley really close by, with lots of options for food and drinks. There was everything you needed, and more, and the beds were really comfortable. Peter couldn’t have been more helpful with great suggestions for places to go and walks to take. And thanks again for posting my friends Kindle back! Will definitely be back.

  • Staying at the Joiner’s shop was one of the best country escapes I have ever had. Starting with the excellent communications with Peter and Jane where they answered all my questions, to arriving at the place it was all fantastic. The joiners shop was beautiful with country inspired furnishing to the amazing view over Addingham Moors. If you do book to stay here make sure you book a reservation at the Fleece in Addingham, which has great food and service. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. Thank you Jane and Peter. • If you liked Postman Pat on TV, you'll feel at home here. Apparently the author lived nearby. Lots of pretty old stone houses and fields with low stone walls. You're in real Yorkshire. The Joiners Cottage is an unexpected gem, backing onto open fields with the Moors behind. Beautifully furnished bedrooms above a large living room and kitchen. Our bed was the most comfortable I've slept on. The afternoon walk was amazing - just out the door, over the wall and up to the top of the Moors about 20 minutes later. Pete suggested we drive into Addingham for dinner, just 5 minutes away. Its a small picture perfect village with some great pubs. We loved our time here and would recommend the Joiners Cottage without reservation. Lovely, helpful hosts too.

    Elliot2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend a stay at Joiners Cottage. It is in a lovely rural position, and beautifully done out, rustic and cosy and has everything you could need. We loved the log burner, especially as it was so cold and snowy when we stayed. The bed was super comfy and we slept really good! Also it is behind an automatic gate so we had added security for ourselves and our car! Our hosts were really friendly too. We will definitely stay again if we are passing by that way!

  • Delightful rural BnB on a hilltop with marvellous views. The place itself is a working farmhouse. Lisa welcomes you and immediately makes you feel totally at home. Facilities are comfortable, warm and spacious. This is a real quality offering at affordable prices

  • Lisa's Farm stay is in a beautiful location just outside Silsden. The room on the 2nd floor was spacious and spotless. The twin beds together as a super king were delightful to sleep in, and the bed linen was what we've experienced in a luxury hotel. Plenty of tea and fresh milk with a small fridge in the room. Lisa also organised a cot bed for us on the spot (thanks!). The underfloor heating kept the room very comfortable. The bathroom (bath only) was simple and clean with a country feel. Luxury toiletries/bath linen and no shortage of hot water with good pressure. The house in general is lovely and welcoming as was Lisa. She was attentive and prompt with communication. The farm itself is stunning and it was a real treat to see the sheep during lambing. Can't recommend it enough!

  • Anna had thought of everything in advance of our arrival.

    Alison2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Anna was a thoughtful and helpful host despite us making some out of the ordinary requests. The cottage is easily accessible by bus, close to a small supermarket in a lovely friendly village. The pictures do not do this snug cottage justice! We loved having walking maps available on arrival, there were many things available that we hadn't thought to arrange for ourselves!

  • Lovely little cottage in the heart of the village. Perfect for a relaxed weekend away with friends. Accessible to scenic walks. We had a nice meal in the local pub, The Swan. Recommend Ginger Plum cafe for coffee and cake. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, welcome package of wine, bread, milk and cookies was much appreciated, thank-you.

  • Some friends and I stayed at the cosy Daisy Nook cottage over a few autumnal weekdays. The place was clean and homely and we quickly felt at home. The town itself is very welcoming and we enjoyed some lovely food and drink at various pubs across the town. Thanks Anna! Arrival and all communication was clear and quick making preparations very easy.

    Nico2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Anna contacted us by text to arrange, and when we were running late arranged a good alternative. The goody welcoming pack was most unexpected but gratefully received! We will definitely recommend.

  • We stayed here for a weekend with 4 adults and a 2 year old. I was worried about the size of the cottage from reviews and Anna even messaged me to ensure that I understood that it might be tight squeeze, but decided to risk it as only a couple of nights. We didn't have a problem with the size really and it was perfect for our needs over the weekend, although may have been more of a squeeze for a longer break. The amazing 'welcome pack' was the best we've ever had and was much appreciated after a longer than expected journey. The cottage is very clean and all the beds were reported as comfortable and it had everything we needed. The location is brilliant for exploring the area and some local shops in walking distance. A great weekend away!

Thanks very much for a great visit to Yorkshire.:-)

  • This wee cottage is a delight. Perfect size for our young family of four; it was cosy and quiet. Beautifully situated in the hillside. The horses just outside the door were a real treat. Anne and Stewart were around if needed but in no way invasive. They are so friendly. Lots of tips and ideas of what to do in the area. There isn’t a shop within walking distance and a car is a must. It’s very close to Keighley though and Skipton is great for a day out. The cottage has everything you need. We loved our stay. X

This property is suitable for the business traveller, couples and families. My apartment is in a woodland complex close to the Yorkshire Dales. So, there is plenty of opportunities to experience the outdoors as this apartment also has a small garden.
This ground floor apartment opens up onto a unique garden. Guests have used the garden to enjoy the sunshine well into the evening. Guests also say that this garden provides a perfect space to observe the woodland animals including Deers, Squirrels and Owls. There are a number of places of interest to visit e.g. Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms; Bronte Parsonage Museum; Bolton Abbey; Cliffe Castle Museum; Hesketh Farm Park; Ilkley Moor; Salts Mill; Keighley and Worth Valley Railway to name but a few.
This apartment is set in beautiful woodland. As such it provides an atmosphere that appeciates nature. For example, the atmosphere in and around the apartment is such that you can feel a real sense of being away from the trappings of everyday life. The sound of traffic is replaced by the sound of a babbling woodland stream. There are no glaring street lights to invade each room. So, if you choose to sleep in darkness you can. Guests have said that they had a good nights sleep and awoke feeling fully rested. Conversely, each room is equipt with lighting that you can adjust to fit the mood.

  • One of the best cottages that we have stayed in. Everything you could possibly need in a beautiful location. Sally is next door if you need anything and very helpful but not intrusive.

    David2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place looks exactly as it does in the pictures and descriptions. Stylish interior, picturesque surroundings and lovely hot tub. Sally was brilliant with communication prior to the visit. Would definitely go back again.

  • My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Poppy Cottage 1 whilst celebrating his birthday. Check-in was simple, Sally & Steve had provided sufficient instructions for how everything works (especially the lovely hot tub!) and even provided plentiful tips for things to do and places to eat around the area. Overall an amazing time, we are definitely recommending this place to all our friends and family! Thank you so much!

My place is great for walking and exploring the glorious country side. Easy access to the home of the Brontes in Haworth and to the Dales. 30 mins walk to Keighley town centre and train station; Bus stop 10 mins walk away. You’ll love my place because of the views and the comfortable rooms. We have a small enclosed field which is great for letting your dog have a run around without fear of escape. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
Weasel Wood House Farm is a very well appointed house of Yorkshire stone built approximately 200 years ago. It has a large well functioning kitchen and a downstairs toilet. A large dining room with open fireplace and a good sized living room with a huge window that gives amazing views all across the valley. One bedroom and en suite bathroom is located at the top of the first staircase and is separate from the rest of the bedrooms. Up the main staircase there are 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom with walk in shower, jacuzzi bath toilet and basin. Downstairs in the cellar there is another double bedroom recently renovated and again separate from the rest of the house, this layout allows a little privacy from each other if / when needed.
Keighley lies in a fold between the countryside of Airedale and Keighley Moors. The town is the terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, a heritage steam branch line which has been restored and runs through the Worth Valley to Oxenhope via Oakworth and Haworth. The name Keighley, which has gone through many changes of spelling throughout its history, is accepted to mean "Cyhha's farm or clearing"[4] and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Other outlying villages around the town are Oakworth, Cross Roads, Haworth, Stanbury and Oxenhope. The two main settlements to the north are Silsden and Steeton. To the north east is Rombald's Moor which contains many signs of stone age and bronze age occupation including cup and ring marks,[14] and as it drops back down into Wharfedale and the town of Ilkley, approximately five miles away, becomes the more famous Ilkley Moor.

The studio is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Skipton with easy access to all fascilities, yet is safe and quiet at night. It is warm and comfortable with a small but stylish kitchen and bathroom.
There is a great mix of residential properties, shops cafes and bars within the neighbourhood. The medieval castle, church, canal and woods are only a few minutes walk away.
  • Samantha’s place is warm, cosy and filled with beautiful furniture and touches. Great for winter hideout. We loved it. Dales on your doorstep

  • This artisan studio is an ideal getaway. It is beautifully designed, with gorgeous furniture as well as excellent facilities. It location is ideal for people looking for a mixture of town and country living. It was warm, inviting, comfortable and incredibly convenient in every sense of word. Would highly recommend and hope to come back!

My place is close to parks, the village, great views, restaurants and pubs, art and culture. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and the light. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
Walker Acre is a very welcoming house . Ground flour comprises a large and light kitchen-dinning with television and a corner fire place . A double room sitting room , with a log fire place, television , sky TV and DVD, piano , comfortable sofas and rugs
The house is semidetached , so you will have one neighbour , that is a very nice and kind man . Walking to the village, just 2 blocks , and there are pubs, pharmacy, shops, hairdressers and supermarket , etc
  • This beautiful country home is even more picturesque than depicted in the photos. It stands in the quiet of the country, down its own lane with only one very quiet and pleasant neighbor. And yet, it's at the edge of the village and only a 3 minute walk to the bus stop to bring you to Ilkley or Skipton. The house is fabulous: still retaining its centuries' old charm and yet has the most beautiful modern kitchen. There was plenty of space in the house for my family of 6. The owner was very prompt at communicating when we ran into a hot water issue and sent tradesmen over very quickly and resolved the problem efficiently and quickly. We would recommend a stay in this beautiful home!

  • Helen made me feel very welcome and was a terrific host. Great lttle spot for me to spend the night and enjoyed a walk in the dales after which got horribly lost and helen came to the rescue and picked me up! Thoroughlly enjoyed my stay

    Alex2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, surrounded by fields and trees. The caravan does what it says on the tin, comfy bed, good views. Stock up on food before you get there; it's a fair hike from the nearest shop. But overall great, bliss out and enjoy the outdoors!

    Richard2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's caravan is neat and well laid out, easy to reach (even without a car, like we did) and the perfect location for walking away from the herd, or just chilling out, reading and watching time idle by. It's definitely just like the picture, such lovely countryside, binoculars a must. You can easily see Beamsley Beacon over the valley and that's worth a visit too. Helen (and dog) both lovely and great to share in Helen's kind-hearted nature. The caravan also had mosquito blinds, a godsend on warm nights. We had a memorable stay.

    Ann2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Only stayed for 1 night here, but Helen and her boys made us feel most welcome and the surrounding countryside was beautiful - we knew we were going to like it just from the drive to her house! This was a much better option than staying in Ilkley, more peaceful but with an easy journey into the town

    Freya2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you love the countryside. Right in the middle of it but tucked away under the trees so keeps warm. Helen was the perfect host.

    Graham2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The little caravan was very charming and very cosy, plus I had the best weather and the views were amazing! Helen wasn't around to check me in but her son made me feel very welcome. I will certainly be back to stay again. Thank you very much! x

    Lucy2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Host very welcoming, available and interested. Accommodation had everything I needed. Location was perfect for my needs - access to the moors.

    Brian2016-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • In a remote rural location with only the sound of sheep, owls, horses and the occasional car you will find this pre-owned caravan - clean tidy and ready for guests. Twenty minutes away by minicab from the nearest train station. Beautiful views across Wharfedale. You can even walk to Ilkley across the tops (Ilkley was a pleasant surprise). Note: this accommodation will be attractive to Campers, Glampers and people walking the Dales Way. BNB'ers wanting nice Restaurants, Nightlife, unlimited Hot Showers and Room Service should probably avoid! Helen is a lovely host and couldn't have been more helpful. The instant booking service worked really well.

The room is on the third floor of our Victorian terraced house which has an open living area with tea and coffee-making facilities and a shower room, all for guests only.
We are easy to find as we are on the edge of Ilkley and our front garden runs down to the main road to the Lakes. There is on-street parking near our rear access lane. Despite the main road, the room is quiet. Ilkley town centre is a 15-minute walk away and it has two supermarkets, many independent shops, a range of restaurants and cafes, pubs (the nearest is a five-minute walk and serves great food) - and even has a new boutique cinema.
