Cinema
“Tallinn’s biggest multiplex has 11 screens equipped with world-class sound systems and seats that take comfort to a new level! It not only shows films from all over the world but also live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera and London National Theatre. Those who like watching films in a more private setting will appreciate the exclusive 40-seat A. Le Coq Suite.”

Quartiere
“The Rotermann Quarter, located in the heart of Tallinn between the Old Town, the port, and Viru Square, sits in a historically important area. The Rotermann Quarter has almost as many historically valuable buildings as the Old Town of Tallinn. The Rotermann Quarter gives visitors an extraordinary opportunity to spend quality time in quieter and smaller urban areas, discovering shops, restaurants, and wine bars fit for both everyday life and occasions that are more refined.”

“As in the Middle Ages, the Town Hall Square is the heart of the Old Town. Historically, it served as a marketplace, but today is the stage for various events, the most well-known being the Christmas Market. As you may have guessed, the square takes its name from the gothic Town Hall building. During the summer, visitors can climb the Town Hall’s tower to a 34-metre-high belfry balcony with views over the Old Town. Opposite the Town Hall is the Town Hall Pharmacy, the oldest continually operating apothecary in Europe. ”

Pub
“If you’re more interested in getting a quick bite to eat but don’t want to miss out on great wine, then head over to Flamm, located almost next door, in the very same Rotermann district. Flammkuchen or tarte flambée is a traditional dish from the Alsace region, featuring very thinly rolled-out bread dough, covered with cream cheese, and all imaginable toppings known to lovers of good food. The list of flamms is remarkably extensive (but not expensive!) and sources claim that the quality is almost shockingly authentic. Each flamm (please do not say pizza) pairs very well with a particular wine, so make sure to ask the lovely staff for advice. The place does not have a lot of seats and is very busy after office-hours, when young urban professionals from nearby offices flock there to catch up on the day’s events. Luckier patrons might get a chance to sit right at the kitchen counter and see the delicious pastries come fresh from the oven. ”

Museum
“ The Museum of Estonian Architecture has a permanent exhibition of the models of the city, providing an overview of Estonian architecture in the 20th century. In order to supplement the exhibition, the museum has ordered new models and brought out old ones from its storage from time to time, keeping the exhibition fresh.”

Its extensive breakfast menu is available throughout the day and includes a choice of freshly made egg dishes and warm filled panini, ciabatta and piadini. “One of my favorites restaurants who care about the environment and most of the ingredients are from local Estonian farms. Very delicious and amazing service! Kaks Kokka is the younger brother of Restaurant Ö. The diner is led by two head chefs from Saaremaa, Ranno Paukson and Martin Meikas; this place is worth keeping in mind. Kaks Kokka is a place that is always changing and is never exactly the same. The character of Kaks Kokka is not defined by state borders or compass directions – everything is based on excellent, fresh and mostly Estonian ingredients. ”

“Estonian cuisine and one of the most magical dinner experience of my life. Ö originates from Swedish and means an island. Ö is also a very important letter in the Estonian alphabet. On the island, where we’re from, people talk a little different than the rest of Estonia and the letter Ö is used a lot more. Ö is just such a beautiful letter that it must be heard! The island we speak of, is of course Saaremaa, Estonia’s biggest island. So big, in fact, that they call it a land, as the literal translation of Saaremaa is Island land. The stars in our sky are the same as everywhere else, but they shine a little brighter above Saaremaa. These stars once lit the way for our Viking ancestors on their expeditions. On our expeditions for new flavours, we have found the most fascinating and delicious ingredients. We get our inspiration from the Nordic nature. Unpredictable seasons. The cold and grey Baltic Sea. Dark forests and their magical gifts. Farmers and small businesses. Hunters and fishermen. Clean air and black soil. Forgotten preservation and preparation methods. We always add a bit of island humour to our dishes. We have the coolest team on the planet! We believe in what we do and we love it! All this bound together under the light of the brightest stars is Ö.”
