We go underground where it is 16°C (60°F for us Yankees) a great way to beat the heat With over 300 km of underground tunnels surrounding Rome, even if you go out there alone, they will not let you go down by yourself, only with a guide to assure you don't get lost and become a permanent resident. With 10 years guiding experience under my belt, I will take you off the beaten path and bring ancient Roman society to life, telling the Stories behind the art and architecture. Showing you the masterpieces that you absolutely have to see before you leave Rome. We first go down to the Basilica that was built at the end of the 4th century AD above the tomb of the two martyrs Nereus and Achilleu. Then we will walk down further to the Best Preserved Catacombs of Rome. I will introduce you to the early Christian community of Imperial Rome, and of Catholicism in the city between the 2nd and 9th centuries. Ending near the Appia Antica where you are free to continue your Adventures. Ti accoglieremo a casa della nonna per imparare la famosa e antica arte del fare la pasta fatta a mano, saremo al massimo 8 partecipanti come in una vera famiglia italiana per rendere tutto più autentico :) Insieme impareremo a fare la pasta fresca, ci eserciteremo a fare ravioli, fettuccine, spaghetti e, perché no, anche altri formati di pasta un po meno comuni. Non ci focalizzeremo solo sulla preparazione delle paste fresche, nella cucina italiana anche i condimenti ricoprono un ruolo fondamentale. Infatti questa esperienza culinaria si focalizza molto anche sulla preparazione delle salse romane o non come Arrabbiata, Amatriciana, Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Gricia o Burro e Salvia e altre. Ci incontreremo nel cuore di Roma, nei pressi di Piazza del Popolo, da dove avrò il piacere di accompagnarvi con una breve camminata di 5 min. fino al nostro punto di imbarco allo Scalo de Pinedo, sul Tevere. Qui troveremo tutto il nostro equipaggiamento: gommone, caschetto, pagaia e salvagente. Dopo il briefing tecnico, a terra, e aver indossato l'equipaggiamento, ci imbarcheremo. La nostra avventura comincia! Navigando sul fiume vi illustrerò alcuni aspetti della storia di Roma. Scivoleremo tranquillamente sulle acque del Tevere e faremo una prima sosta nei pressi di Castel S. Angelo. Qui potremo riposarci, guardarci intorno, salire sul ponte degli Angeli e fare foto. Poi riprenderemo la nostra discesa costeggiando l'antico quartiere Trastevere, le cui banchine che si affacciano sul fiume nel periodo estivo si riempiono di attività della vita notturna romana, fino ad arrivare all'Isola Tiberina (l'unica isola fluviale dentro Roma). Qui affronteremo delle vere e divertenti rapide! Dopo le rapide faremo un'altra sosta, se il livello del fiume lo permette, e avrete l'opportunità di visitare l'Isola. L'ultimo tratto di fiume ci porterà allo sbarco. Qui prima di lasciarvi, con una breve passeggiata, raggiungeremo un posto carino dove avrò il piacere di offrirvi un piacevole spuntino e un drink. Altre cose da tenere a mente Il tour finisce nei pressi di Trastevere, dopo uno snack locale offerto da me. Non verrete riportati a Piazza del Popolo perchè le operazioni di sistemazione del materiale ed il traffico possono portare via molto tempo. Il punto di sbarco, tuttavia, è molto ben collegato con i mezzi pubblici.

Con "Emanuela" visiteremo un vigneto con vitigni autoctoni toscani, parleremo di paesaggi, delle piante intorno a noi, cammineremo tra gli ulivi e raccoglieremo erbe aromatiche: origano, nepitella, timo, rosmarino, visiteremo la cantina da dove nascono i vini rossi e bianchi e assaggeremo i vini direttamente dalla botte. Imbottiglieremo il vino e potrai personalizzare l'etichetta, dovrai inserire il tappo con una macchina speciale e attaccare l'etichetta manualmente.
