My friends and I booked Ian's place for a long weekend away, and although the weather was miserable the holiday was fantastic. Ian sent us a lot of information about local places to visit, and the maps in the house helped us plan a few places to walk when it stopped raining. After a full day out in the cold, it was lovely to come back and cook a hot meal in the well stocked kitchen, and sit in front of a roaring fire and play board games or watch films. There were a lot of little touches that were well appreciated, like milk in the fridge, slippers, and hot water bottles. I honestly can't think of anything else to improve the quality of the stay, all of us were most impressed with everything about the place. I'll definitely be staying here again.

We had a lovely long weekend in Trengrove Cottage. It's a sweet little cottage and Ian is doing it up to a high standard with care and consideration. It was good to find not only good towels but also heated towel rails, for instance. Everything was clean and well kept, and we slept well each night. It was a pleasure to be in the cottage and garden as well as exploring the area. Although the cottage feels very remote, down long lush lanes, it's actually very quick and easy to get to Looe, Fowey, Polperro, and Lostwithiel, all of which were worth visiting. We ate in the Jubilee Inn in Pelynt which was only a few minutes away by car and had unpretentious pub meals. We did try other places but it seems that in the evenings in June it's a good idea to book first round here, and whilst busy the Jubilee did manage to fit us (and the dog) in. Ian was a pleasure to deal with, responding quickly and politely, and I'd happily both recommend him as a host, and return to Trengrove Cottage.

I had a wonderful stay at Trengrove Cottage. I took an 8 day holiday to get some peace and quiet, and even brought my mom along. The cottage was immaculate, and Ian was an amazing host. He made sure we had everything we needed, proper directions to the house, and general advice on what to see and where to go during our stay. I couldn't have asked for more!

Our stay at Trengrove Cottage was super nice, unfortunately way too short though ;-) The property is absolutely stunning and the attention to detail makes any stay even more special and gives it 'a cosy & welcome at home' feeling. Ian is very attentive and we felt in good hands from first day of communicating. He went over and above the regular host duties to ensure that we had a good time and even helped out with our work related requests. Thanks again for that, it is much appreciated! Trengove Cottage is such a beautiful place and a must book for the area! We would always visit again!

Everything was exactly as expected. Instructions were available for everything and so we were able to work out whatever we didn't know fairly easily. The location was perfect for our circumstances - quiet and peaceful, with comfortable options to make ourselves at home. We enjoyed the shortbread and nightly log fires. I also made good progress with one of Ian's books. We happened to have great weather which enabled us to enjoy the garden and outside views.

What can we say.....we had a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary at this lovely little cottage. The welcome tea and biscuits was much appreciated after a long journey. Even though the cottage only has three rooms, it was perfect for us and Indiana the cocker spaniel. There was plenty of space for us and Indiana loved running around the garden. The log fire was great for keeping us cosy and warm after the long and rather wet walks along the coastal paths. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. A great stay overall and would recommend to friends and family and would happily visit again.

We loved our stay at Trevanna Cottage with our dog, it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail, from the tea and biscuits laid out for our arrival to the restaurant recommendations - a lot of care and attention has gone into this cottage. The decor is beautiful, it's a really relaxing and calm space. Communication with Ian was brilliant. And the trip ran smoothly. Would love to stay here again!

Staying at Trevenna Cottage was the best choice ever :-) the scenery is so beautiful and the cottage itself is a very lovely and warm place. Ian is a great host and more than helpful. He provided a lot of important information and personal instructions that made us feel very welcome. The gorgeous cottage is well equipped, with a fantastic multi-fuel stove. Nearly all rooms have been beautifully refitted in the last couple of months and now the cottage looks amazing! Furniture and decoration have been chosen with love for individuality. I would highly recommend this cottage to all who look for a romantic or relaxing break. Thanks very much,Ian, for making our stay that perfect! Laura & Iris

Trevenna Cottage is a lovely place if you´re seeking rest from a busy daily routine and wish to enjoy walks and hikes at this great area. The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated, one can see that Ian pays attention to every detail and to quality. Guests will find a welcome letter when they arrive, as well as a very professional cottage manual and gorgeous photo book on the highlights of the area. Communication with Ian was prompt and friendly, being a very considerate host providing us with a high chair for our little daughter on request. We can highly recommend this lovely cottage!

We had the most wonderful bank holiday weekend at Trevenna. The cottage was gorgeous and even better than described. Ian had thought of providing everything in the cottage that you would need and it furnished to a very high standard. The cottage is within easy driving distance to Looe and Polperro as well as close to stunning costal walks. Ian was extremely helpful and friendly to liaise with and I couldn't recommend Trevenna more highly. We will definitely go back!

Excellent weekend retreat. The hosts were lovely, make you feel extremely welcome as soon as you step in the door. The breakfast was great, with fresh homemade bread and omelettes made whilst we were there. The room itself was wonderful, beautifully designed with great views of the water. The location is perfect if you want a relaxing get away from work. Very quiet and the locals are friendly. Cannot fault it at all. Highly recommend.

A Fantastic Cornish Welcome - Alex picked me up from the Pedestrian Ferry I got from Plymouth and straight away I was made to feel welcome. The Loft room was very beautiful and incredibly comfortable - it had everything I needed - great bed - black out blinds should I want to sleep past the rising sun - tea making facilities and a mini fridge. But I was also made welcome to use the kitchen should I want. In the morning I was lucky enough to sample Alex's homemade bread with some eggs - it was very good. Would happily stay here again should I ever be passing through the beautiful area. A great place to stay if you are attending a wedding at the Fort South of Milbrook.

I really enjoyed my stay at Lipson, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Eila has thought of everything to make this a perfect stay - the kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately, Eila was away during my visit but was in contact to make sure that everything was going well. It is a quiet and light apartment at the top of a large house and only a short and pleasant walk down to the Barbican and Hoe. I look forward to a return trip.

Lovely bright, spacious room in the top floor apartment. The whole apartment was very clean and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. It was the ideal location for me as I was spending a few days at the university. It's also very close to town and has a nice park with views of the Hoe just across from it. Elia was a great host and looked after me well and the other tenant also made me feel welcome. Plenty of peace and quiet in the evenings too - ideal for anyone needing to visit on work.

We had a wonderful stay at Rylands and Karen was a fantastic host. She was waiting on the driveway to meet us when we arrived and instantly made us feel welcome. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, including Karen leaving milk and teabags for our arrival. The house is in a beautiful location, which is quiet yet near enough to the local pub(by car) and lots of sightseeing. It is also very near to the A30, which is the main road to south Cornwall. The location is also handy for exploring Devon too. Overall, we had one of the best holidays ever and a wonderful welcome place to stay. We would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay over Easter Weekend break. Karen waited for us to give a key to the Farmhouse and a brief introduction to the area after we arrived a bit later than we expected. The area is beautiful, near a nice cosy pub and restuarant. Supermarket is not too far away. 30 mins drive to the Eden project, Boscastle town (highly recommended), and Tintagle Castle. The Farmhouse is spacious and beautiful. You don't need anything for the kitchen if you love cooking. The only thing we forgot to take with us was pairs of slippers. Would love to come back to again and recommend for family for a get away break.

The Lodge was in a really lovely area which was very green and peaceful. Although just in the border of Cornwall everything was a reasonably short drive away and the country roads were an adventure themselves with stunning countryside and small villages to explore. We got to see a lot and visit lots of places, even as far as St Ives and Penzance with the drive back being a reasonably short distance. We all had a lovely stay and the house was amazing, such a large living area and great kitchen with all you need. The lodge had sky tv and a very good speaker system so we were entertained when relaxing in the evenings. Overall we loved our stay and I can't think of one negative thing at all. Beds were really comfy and we had plenty of pillows and nice duvets. Each room had an en suite which was fantastic. Plenty of room for all 6 of us plus a two year old child too. I would stay at this property again definitely.

Myself and my two children had a wonderfully peaceful stay here. As accommodation goes it was more expensive than I usually pay but we really enjoyed the benefits resulting. The house was clean and spacious (no small amount of property envy experienced) and the kids loved having their own rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs was a lovely space and the kitchen was very well equipped. We thought we’d be eating out in the evenings but in the end it was really easy, and a pleasure, to cook in. Shame the weather wasn't so good as I can imagine that using the balcony would be great in the summer.

We had a fantastic time at number 17. It was clean and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 children. The location was so peaceful and quiet. It was amazing looking out from the balcony at the forest and seeing the robins, squirrels and rabbits. The garden centre and farm shop was a great place to stock up on fresh food and good value too. We used the leisure facilities at the St Mellion resort hotel. The swimming pool was very good for the children. Tennis courts used also. Caroline has been great and responded quickly to all the emails. The lodge was exactly as described and bigger than we thought it would be. This was a lovely place for us all to spend New Year (with my partner and 3 children) as it was ideal for country walks but still close enough to shops/restaurants. The only very tiny criticism was that there were no cleaning products at all (and I wouldn't usually bring any with me) so was unable to clean worktops, toilets or bath/showers. Having said that, the property was lovely and clean on arrival and we'd love to stay there again!

I just finished an excellent three night here with my family. The holiday cottage was set on a reasonably secluded private road. It was clean, welcoming, well finished, and perfectly suited for a holiday in the area. In particular, we were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was - it was much better than your typical self-catering rental. The location was convenient for visiting sites we wanted to see, but I would offer a slight caution that nothing is actually nearby so you should plan on driving an hour to get wherever you'd like to go (Eden Project, St. Ives, Dartmoor, etc).

Wow, what an amazing place to stay!quite honestly it was the best equipped, decorated and appointed self-catering accommodation I have ever booked and we have stayed in many parts of Europe and the U.S. The photos are more than accurate and everything you could possibly need in terms of provisions is left for your use. I stayed here with my wife and 17-month old boy (who loved it) and we were joined over Christmas by my parents, sister and brother-in-law and it was more than roomy enough for us all. It really was the perfect place to stay, it was so beautiful and we would consider booking a week here in the summer.

Caroline was a fantastic host and always replied promptly to all of our emails. Excellent location, well appointed accommodation, modern, clean, and in great condition. The kitchen was really well equipped, and the finishing touches were the little things like tea, coffee, salt & pepper, and hair dryer all being there. We had a few problems with the WiFi but apart from that it was faultless.

Caroline was fabulous in communication prior to our stay and the information sent to help us find things was perfect. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, yet not far from amenities. The lodge was spacious both inside and out, and generally just lovely, to the point we all said we could have lived there!

Everything from start to finish worked perfectly for our stay. Caroline was extremely prompt and helpful with any queries we had, directions and info on how to get to and into the lodge were clear - and the lodge itself, incredibly well appointed - we really wanted for nothing. The location and views really are stunning, and such a beautiful peaceful surround. We recommend this lodge unreservedly and will definitely be coming back - in the summer if we can find availability!.

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock. Guests have a private courtyard & garden however they also have access to the gardens of the main house. We live on site and are happy to assist and help our guests in any way we can and encourage guests to knock should they require anything to make their stay more comfortable. We have 3 girls who are always happy to have extra children to play with in the gardens. In the summer months there is a trampoline and swings which are guests are welcome to use. The garden of the main house backs onto Dartmoor National Park. The village of Princetown is the home of the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, along with two friendly local pubs serving the infamous Jail Ale and good quality home cooked food. There is also the locally renowned Fox Tor Cafe which serves a great breakfast to set you up for a day of activities on the moor! All are within easy walking distance. The nearby stannary & market town of Tavistock is a ten minute car journey away and has numerous cafes, restaurants and local interesting shops to explore. The pannier market is open almost everyday and regular farmers markets held in the town square sell various locally grown vegetables, rare breed meats and locally made items. Dogs are welcome and we provide essentials such as a dog bowl, dog towels & shampoo.leggi altro

Consigliamo vivamente!

Zoe was very helpful. Clear directions to property attached to the old vicarage in large grounds. Very private with ample easy parking.. Next door to the church in centre of a small Dartmoor town. Very dog friendly! The Coach house is a lovely mix of ancient structure and modern fittings. Very welcoming wood burner. All beautifully clean and welcoming. Paths from the church lead directly onto the moors. Very happy with our choice.

Zoe's house is a fantastic little gem situated slap bang in the middle of the Dartmoor national park. Driving there feels like entering an adventure. The house is superb. It would be easily a base for a little family (which is what we were on this occasion). There is a fully fitted out kitchen, lovely lounge with log burner and a dinning table to sit at. Our son studies at Plymouth and we will definitely return. I recommend this place to other AirBnB travellers.

Breakfast is not included. Widecombe is a historic village, with its parish church rightly known as the cathedral of the moor. it is also home to the famous widecombe fair. The area is surrounded by beautiful Tors and streams. Hidden valleys contain the remains of many past settlements, from medieval villages destroyed by the black death, to stone age and bronze age hut circles. the world famous Merrivale stone row is only half hours drive away. Horse riding and canoeing are also popular local activities. surrounding villages and towns offer regular farmers markets, with a taste of local (website hidden) most of these villages you will find a warm welcome in their tearooms and inns. the larger villages also home their own traditional country fair, emphasising country music and folk dancing. Many of Dartmoors long distance walks pass this way, including the very popular two moor way which links the south Dartmoor coast with the Exmoor coast. Best to bring your own car to really indulge your self here on the moors. Breakfast is not served but we have muesli, eggs, bread and milk for your first day of your arrival so you can relax and enjoy your morning. You also have access to free teas and coffee. It takes a little longer, but it is possible to walk to the village across the moor instead of country lanes. We have plenty of maps and guide books to help you! Also in bad weather we can loan you raincoat and wellington boots. Hopefully not needed. Best to bring your own car. You should be aware the nearest food stores and petrol stations are in Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Your own means of transport is essential. Unfortunately, we have no reliable public transport service to Widecombe. Apart from waterproof clothing it is important to have strong walking footwear. We should tell you that we are on the open moor, continually visited by cattle. ponies, sheep and cows graze just inches away from the house, so get your cameras on stand by. Me and my family had a fantastic stay at Miho's place. Miho and Pete were so friendly and accommodating and waited up to welcome us arriving late from London. Miho went above and beyond by writing my mum and birthday cars, leaving a little gift on her bed and even made her a beautiful birthday cake!! We couldn't have asked for more. The house is in a beautiful location with an incredible view and we were lucky to have a lovely dry day in the middle of December. Thanks a million Miho and Pete xxx

Great hospitality, welcomed with pastry, ready on the table ! We felt like home, got advices from Peter about walks and good pubs. There is a lot of information in the house; there is no need to buy books and maps because it's there to borrow. Miho's wonderful cooking is an extra as well ! Berrywood Cottage is the best place to stay in Dartmoor National Park !

Miho and Peter were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming, Miho served us a delicious home-baked cream tea when we arrived, and they both were lovely with our two children as well, even playing Boules with them in the garden and painting sticks. The cottage is very thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need, from hair dryer to rice cooker. Both bedrooms were comfortable and well presented, the kitchen was well equipped and it was extremely clean. The cottage is situated immediately in the countryside, so you just have to leave the front door and you are out in the moor, we climbed the hill behind the house and saw sheep and horses just outside the cottage. A lovely weekend break! Thank you, Miho and Peter!

Our stay with Miho and Peter could not have been more perfect! They were great hosts, striking the balance between being helpful and attentive, without being in any way intrusive (the extra, thoughtful touches of homemade afternoon tea on arrival, and a small selection of homemade preserves and farm produce was delightful!). Their home is in a lovely spot of Dartmoor, a good spot from which to explore the region. Next time we plan to stay for a week!

Peter and Miho were fantastic hosts, helping us get there, park, special baked treats and even picked us up from the moor when we had van troubles. We were so glad they were our hosts. The house is lovely, with a gorgeous views and clean comfortable rooms. I would highly recommend staying here, right in the middle of the moor.

We have felt very comfortable in the house and we liked the location very good. Unfortunately, it has always smelled slightly of oil. This was probably due to the heating in the kitchen. Fast response to our original enquiry - and good communications at all times . Lovely quiet location, good room lay out and furnishings. Can not comment on the St Mellion golf and leisure as in just a 3 night stay we did not use these facilities at all - but I must say the pool did look good. Do remember to take your bathers and towels tho. Would be very happy to visit again

Lovely, Peaceful, rural location. Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. This is a double room with ensuite shower and loo and lovely views over the hills. There's room for a put-up bed, although it's a bit of a squeeze, however there's a single room next door which I'm happy to include in the booking for the price of an additional guest if it's available. Small family groups have found this arrangement works well. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, fruit, home-made bread and a range of cereals. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing! The farmhouse kitchen/dining room is a communal area. Breakfast is provided here. For guests staying more than a couple of nights basic food preparation facilities are available by previous arrangement. I'm here most of the time and happy to chat and advise how to get the best out of the locality if that is what visitors are interested in. If you're interested in a pilates session during your stay it's a good idea to arrange this before your visit. Stunning views over the South Hams Countryside. Ideal to access the coast and Dartmoor. Totnes, just 10 minutes away is a charming little town. We are in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, accessible along deep and narrow Devon lanes, that not everyone may be comfortable driving down. We're also not very close to public transport. It is about 5 minutes drive (30 minutes walk) to the nearest village Harberton, which has a lovely pub and 10-15 minutes drive to the nearest town and public transport links in Totnes - about 4 miles away.leggi altro

Welcome to my home which is over 100 years old. The area is very residential and you are within walking distance of Plymouth University and the city. 150 meters from a shopping area where there are pubs, restaurants, takeaways and major supermarkets. I have a large double bedroom to rent out, in an old Victorian house 15/20 minutes walk from Plymouth City centre and the Historic Barbican. The house includes a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, four double bedrooms a bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet, and a shower room upstairs with a seperate toilet. The house is spacious but only has parking for 1 guest car, but there is car space available within a 1 minute walk from the house. Public transport is only a 5 minute walk away, and the railway station is about a 10 minute walk away. Plymouth University is only about a 5 minutes from the house, and the Hoe and the waterfront are about 25 minutes walk from the house. The £40 quoted is for a large bedroom with a double bed, TV and your own sink unit. You can also use the living room to watch TV with me, that is if you want to.(see pictures). There is no cooked breakfast, but tea, coffee, toast and cereals are available if required. It is not intended that the guests use the kitchen to cook meals on a nightly basis. There is lots to see in Plymouth, including the famous Hoe, and the old Barbican. The city has approx. 260,000 people and is within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, and the Eden Project in Cornwall. There is also a large choice of good restaurants and bars. If you require more than one room I do have another double bedroom which can be booked. Look for "Plymouth City and Historic Barbican 2", and if you can't find it just email me as I may have removed it for a short period of time. I hope you will like your stay here in Plymouth. Ian. Guests have access to both bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen for breakfast, the toilets and of course their bedroom. They can also use the back yard area, especially if it is a nice day to sit outside. As I live in the house I am available at any time to give any help that you need, especially on information about places to visit in Devon & Cornwall. The neighbourhood is very residential. You are about a 5/10 min walk from the main railway station and it is about (150 meters) to Mutlay Plain where you can catch a bus to the city centre or to some other parts of the city.leggi altro

Very clear directions and descriptions given to pick up keys and get to the lodge. Although we had some problems with the heating to begin with, Caroline was very quick to organise someone to come and sort it out. After that,we had no problems. Beautiful countryside setting with lots of birds, squirrels and rabbits but make sure you have done all your grocery shopping before you get to the lodge. It is a good 15 minute drive to the nearest supermarket. Sky TV and free wifi worked fine, no problems. As we are used to power showers at home, the showers did not feel strong to us but were adequate enough Lovely firm comfy and warm beds. We stayed in winter and one morning there was black ice in the car park outside the lodges and on the private road, just a warning if you do visit in the winter time.

This lodge is just simply amazing! Ideal for families and groups as it fits 6 comfortably. Easy to go via GPS and fascilities are perfect and ideal. It is a complete house with virtually ALMOST EVERYTHING you need from tv to cooking utensils! Nice area as well and house is superbly furnished!! Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Devon area! Only problem is that there is a toll to exit cornwall so its 1.50 each time you make a trip to another area, but other than that, everything in the house is in tip top condition. Clean and absolutely modern.

The upside – down nature of the property makes the most of the views and increases the feeling of spaciousness. The lounge area is bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. The high quality furniture, cable TV, stereo and Wifi ensure that evenings can be spent in comfort. The modern fully fitted kitchen has plenty of work and storage space. Along with all the appliances you might need including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer etc. There are 3 bedrooms; 1 double room and 2 twin rooms, all en-suite and with storage space. Can comfortably sleep 6 people. With bed linens and towels provided. To the front there is a small balcony with truly wonderful countryside views. There is also a barbecue and front patio below. Relax with a glass of wine (or two) and watch the sun set behind the un-spoilt hills! The lodge is a stylish retreat with lovely views - superior holiday home. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay in Cornwall.

Caroline's direction on how to find Oakridge and Saint Mellion Golf Club to pick up the key was perfect, the check-in process was expeditious and smooth.. The house was in extremely good condition and clean. Every thing you need is there, you feel just like home. We regretted not allowing more time in this lovely property the moment we checked in... We had a really relaxing and wonderful time! Thank you Caroline, you definitely have a team of very professional people to keep this place in such immaculate state! We recommend this property for whoever planning for holiday in south west England, and please allow for at least 1 week stay to thoroughly enjoy yourself!

This is a cosy bed with a memory foam mattress, with a private shower room. Also the living space can contain a spare bed and a sofa bed. There is a partition door, which allows for partial privacy. It is possible to accommodate 4 in the space (this is a compact layout but great for value family stays). A travel cot can also be added. Hot and cold drinks included. You are welcome to join us in the communal space. Cooking facilities can be arranged on request. This is a great space for couples or families. The double bed is tucked around the corner and has a sort of door from the main area. The shower room is also private and then the living space can be a single bed and a sofa or two singles or another double bed (its a comfy sofa bed!) You can also access the lounge area and help yourself to hot/cold drinks as well as use our downstairs loo! We live in the main property and you can interact as much or as little as you like. Royal William Yard is a fabulous place to visit with lots of great bars and restaurants. We recommend taking the water taxi around to the Barbican and finishing up at the Fisherman's Arms. We are close to buses 32 (Millbrook - Plymouth) and 34 (Derriford- Royal William Yard - Plymouth). We are 25mins walk from the railway station or 5mins on the 32 bus. We walk to a lot of places and it is easy to walk into the centre. We have lots of people to stay and it is unlikely that you will be the only guests. Our guests often socialise together. If you stay for a longer time, the beds are changed weekly. This is not a hotel but we do our best to make our home accommodating. We are a busy family but we still get the house cleaned twice a week! We have some great trips to share with you and even discounts with a local pub!leggi altro

Nikki and her family were very welcoming and suggested many places/restaurants for us to visit. They even helped us with planning our onward journey when our car broke down. The house is only a short drive to the train station/places of interest and the room was warm and comfortable. It was a great stay, my friends and I enjoyed playing with the boys and Storm and we will definitely love to stay again. Hopefully next time we'll get to see the cats! Thanks Nikki and Terry :)

We stayed for a few days with Nikki and her family for a short break away from London. They were excellent, welcoming and helpful hosts and their knowledge of the local area was invaluable when we were planning what do do during our stay. The room was perfect for what we needed and we very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to others.

You arrive up a cobbled street to a really nicely converted mews at the end. It is a dead end, so no traffic. No issues with parking. You arrive into typical family life, with small children, cats and dogs, and even a couple of French students practicing their English. We stayed in the family room with one child. It has its own en suite shower room and DVD player...son was happy! All clean and tidy, but definitely an amazing conversion to make the most of the space (I won't spoil the surprise). The house was quiet at night, and the small children werre amazingly quiet in the morning. Breakfast is help-yourself cereal and toast....basically if you are happy just slotting into life, this will suit you....if you want waiting on and a cooked breakfast, you'll be disappointed. It suited us, and we would love to stay again.

Nikki and her husband were very welcoming and have a lovely home. The room is separated from the main part of the house by the entranceway which allows for a good amount of privacy. Also had great restaurant recommendations.

Nikki was extremely helpful arranging our arrival and although we didn't meet any of the family they left us a good breakfast and presents ( it was Christmas) The den was clean, beds were very comfortable and split over two levels made it feel like a playhouse! It was perfect for our family. We look forward to staying again

We had a wonderful stay with captain Terry (has permission from wife to be called so) and crew Nicky, Charlie and Olie. We were welcomed, given full access to the common parts of the 'galion' (living room and kitchen) and generally speaking treated just like family. Our little girl (3 yrs old) enjoyed the company of the friendly resident little ones (4 and 5) and even got to go out and play at the park with them. Technically speaking we stayed in "the den" the room on the ground floor which is not very big but will accommodate two adults and 1 child perfectly. The expensive mattress (ask Terry) of the double bed was exquisite although the cabin-like fitting could prove problematic for the taller ones of us. Geographically speaking the house is nicely situated, not too far from the town centre and in a quiet, residential and one of the better-looking parts of town. Overall a really nice 'live like locals with the locals' experience.

Nicky made us feel very welcome, met us at the door and showed us in. The room was lovely, just what we needed. Nicky also helped us book a taxi and then made a recommendation for the best fry up joint in town in the morning! Thank you!

Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium. A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room The entire place is yours to enjoy I live in the same building so am normally around to lend you a cup of sugar, or provide you with any extra information required about the area. Failing that, my phone is never off! Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth Right on several bus routes into pretty much everywhere. Opposite the torpoint ferry to Cornwall. Free parking adjacent to the building. Latitude 52 is a residential building, so please can we request that you don't make too much noise to keep the neighbours happy :-)leggi altro

This is a fantastic apartment, Immaculately clean and stylish. I was in Plymouth working for a few days and felt very much at home, in this stylish property. Excellent! Easy check in and check out procedure. Comfortable, quiet, safe and accessible building and apartment. All amenities work well and the shower is excellent (great water pressure and no extreme temperature changes, as suffered in other UK hotels/B&Bs). Bed was comfortable and I did not suffer any disturbances in the night (i.e. no late night parties etc). Washing machine worked well - although I could not find the instructions to use it, I was still able to figure it out (I am a bloke after all) :-) Steve offers a great relaxing place to put your feet up. If you want to explore the old part of Plymouth (Devonport and surrounds), it's certainly an ideal location. There are plenty of buses to/from the city (bus stops are located less than 1 minute walk from the door) and taxis come to the door. If you feel like walking to the city, it's a direct quick-pace 40 minute walk, or a leisurely 1 hour pace......or you can take the scenic route..... Parking is available in nearby streets and no one dared break into my ugly yellow Fiat 500 hire car - so I guess it's a safe place to park. Shops and cafes/fast food area cross the street and the apartment offers oven and microwave cooking facilities. Overall, excellent stay and I hope to be able to stop here again in the future. Thanks Steve!

My first AirBnB . Stayed here for 2 weeks waiting for my own property to finalise . Steve was an amazing host and made everything so easy . He responds like lightening .... :-) The flat was very cosy, relaxing , quiet and safe. It's a 10 min walk to Stoke Village and 5 mins to Devonport Park which is very lovely . Co-op across the road almost which was very handy . A very relaxing stay in a stressful time of moving . Would definitely recommend .

Just returned from a one night stay at Latitude 52 and can't thank our host Steve and Airbnb enough - what a fabulous experience so easy from start to finish. The apartment is great incredibly clean, well furnished and so comfortable. Location and parking was great and easy to find. Steve wasn't available to meet us there but nevertheless I knew he was at the end of a phone for any help. We ate at 'The Dock' as recommended by Steve, which was fantastic and all in all had a great time - thankyou!!

This is a great apartment – quiet, warm, clean and spacious with great views. We only had one night there, so used the restaurants for meals (plenty of good ones to choose from all within a couple of minutes’ walk), but think it would have been a pleasure to use the kitchen. Communication with Mike was easy and he was waiting at the arranged time to meet us and to show us around the flat. We appreciated the early booking-in time too. So glad to have such inviting hosts when staying in a foreign country that were willing to make good recommendations for us.

We enjoyed our brief stay with Dot and Dave. They were a very friendly couple, and the room, although quite small was extremely well appointed, lots of attention to detail and spotlessly clean. The shower room was similarly very good. We were offered an extra room for luggage if we needed it (we didn't as we were only around for the night). We were also offered a light breakfast, again we declined because we were visiting relatives and had other plans. There were plenty of spaces to park the car and we walked into town in the evening (about 20-30 mins depending on your speed!) We would recommend this accommodation, thank you for your hospitality.

The last house in the hamlet with only fields beyond and very quiet. Tastefully furnished with private outdoor seating area, BBQ & access to newly renovated outdoor swimming pool (photo coming soon) We are also walking distance from the Steiner School, Shumacher College, Dartington Hall, village shop & The Cott Inn. Totnes is less than 2 miles away along a river path. Fantastic walks (or runs) from the door. This apartment is part of the last house in the village with only fields beyond and is very quiet. The loudest sound is usually the whistle from the local steam railway over a mile away. However BT Infinity fast broadband has just arrived & there's pretty good mobile reception (for Devon) so you won't be completely cut off! The apartment is completely self-contained with its own entrance and has a good-sized bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs, a small kitchen area (with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee making and a gas cooker with hob and oven), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and an entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. There is also a large 30in LCD TV with DVD player (photo not updated yet) and a Sony clock/radio/ipod player. During the winter firewood is supplied for the open fire. There is also a very sunny, private outside seating area with a table, two chairs and a small BBQ overlooking the front garden. There's plenty of wild life! We regularly see deer and rare Green Woodpeckers as well as all the more common birds. You can park your car right outside the apartment. The 5ft ziplink double bed splits into two singles if required ( photo not yet updated) We can provide a camp-bed for a 3rd person (or child) for a small additional cost. However due to the limited space we don't recommend this for stays of longer than 3 nights maximum. The kitchen is small so if you want to cook 3 course dinners every night it's probably not for you. Full access to the whole apartment. I'm available on phone and email prior to your arrival. And as I live next door I'm there to help if you have any questions or need anything. Where else can you reach the sea in around half an hour or be up on the wilds of Dartmoor in even less time. But there are also fantastic walks from the door. One of the best wild swimming spots in the UK (in the Guardian's top 10) is less than a mile from the house. The medieval market town of Totnes is also less than 10 minutes drive with its many wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes Station on the main line to London is less than 10 minutes drive and there are regular buses from the end of our road to the station or in the other direction towards Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. The apartment is also less than 10 minutes drive from the A38, the dual carriageway that links to the M5. The house was built in 1962 and was designed by modernist Arthur Grayson for the novelist and composer Bruce Montgomery. Montgomery was quite well known at the time and wrote the music for the first 6 Carry on movies. He was also a friend of Agatha Christie who apparently came to dinner at the house.leggi altro

We had a lovely stay at Higher Week. The first night we were there we booked a table at the local Cott Inn. It's a lively local pub with great food, I'd recommend you book. We explored all of the local area the next day, and came back to retire in the annexe. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped so we spent a night in with food and the open log fire. Our stay at Ben's apartment was really pleasant. It is well eqipped and very cosy and the surroundings are quiet and beautiful. The arrival was uncomplicated and thanks to Ben's detailed description we found the house (which is a little remote) even without a SatNav. Totnes is a really good place to stay if you want to explore the southern part of Devon. From the apartment, it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the motorway by car and the beautiful Dartmoor in particular is just around the corner. We would highly recommend this holiday home!

A beautiful guest house on the edge of Dartmoor offering full board accommodation and guided walks into Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK. The accommodation is a series of converted barns, restored to ensure your stay is both beautiful and tranquil. The site and the buildings were part of a working farm over 300 years ago. Based in heartland rural West Devon there is a strong farming community here, that gives it a unique character. The lush green valleys look out on to the dramatic Dartmoor National Park; a walker's paradise! Benefits of our remote location include our own source of fresh spring water, filtered by the woodland behind us and pumped straight up through the farm yard. We also burn sustainable fuel in the form of wood pellets for our heating. The rooms are a collection of old stables and a milking parlour that have been transformed into ensuite double and twin bedrooms. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, each room is also equipped with Freeview television and DVD player, as well as WiFi (beware that the WiFi has adopted the region's pace of life!). As well as a spacious private bedroom, guests will enjoy access to all the outdoor space, which includes a big field and garden to relax in, a sun terrace and the old stone courtyard. Having grown up in West Devon and knowing the area well, there is a treasure trove of adventures to be had! I can help you with ideas as much as you would like. I also offer guided walks into the wild Dartmoor National Park where I can introduce you to the history and the culture of this unique landscape. Our neighbourhood is very quiet! We live down a private lane, tucked in front of a wood. It's beautiful! And at night the skies are dark and the stars are bright. The perfect antidote to your city neighbourhood! A car is the best way to get around. However we do offer a transfer service from the Exeter St Davids and Exeter Airport. See the website for more details. We are a family and whilst you stay with us we will do our best to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a very relaxing and calm base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall and we look forward to meeting you!leggi altro

The best located cottage in Kingsand (probably) for sea views and beaches, Storm Cottage is right on the sea wall with three private balconies with stunning sea views. Newly refurbished, the house is simply styled with a New England feel and touches of Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns. The living room is bathed in light and there are three pubs within 200 yds and two sandy/pebble safe beaches with clear rockpools. Kingsand is situated in Cornwall's forgotten corner - a ferry hop away from Plymouth. The house is an upside down house with the living space upstairs affording beautiful views of the historic Cawsand bay. The main bedroom has stunning sea views with an en-suite basement bathroom with rolltop bath and portholes out to the sea! The decor is calm and creamy Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, with small luxuries like Smeg and Dualit kitchen equipment and home furnishings from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, as well as Cornish brands like Seakisses and artist Helen Round. Our cabin style small bedroom with two singles works well for (good) kids too. They'll love being right next to two beaches, with a football sized yard outside. We have a sunny courtyard balcony to dine out on with sea views. For tech junkies we are fully broadbanded up with superfast wifi and a smart TV with DVD. All of the house, if required - with parking for three cars. We can help provide an arrival box of food (please discuss in advance) and help with where to eat etc. Or we can leave you totally alone! Kingsand is a very special place. Located in Cornwall's forgotten corner, it's a twin village is Cawsand. Its three beaches are safe and perfect for kids - and the bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sounds, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are three great pubs, serving good food, a post office and 4 village shops. The village is full of higgledy-piggedly lanes with sea-salt washed pastel coloured Georgian cottages. Foot and car ferries travel regularly to Plymouth, and the majestic Royal William Yard. Dartmoor, Devon and the Eden Project are all with easy reach. By train, disembark at Plymouth or St Germans - and get a taxi to Kingsand. By car, take the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth, or follow the A38 and turn off at the Trerulefoot roundabout just beyond Saltash. There are up to three parking spaces outside the cottage - and a public carpark 100 meters away. Please note 2 trips cancelled previously on AirBnB due to refurb work taking longer than anticipated. That work is now complete. No dogs due to owners allergies. Sorry! Access to the cottage parking is narrow. Nervous drivers or owners of lovely new cars may want to initially park in the public carpark - and size up the space first.leggi altro
