A special place. Direct beach access; wonderful views; spectacular sunsets. Beautifully converted and well equipped. A perfect retreat. A stroll from the Sportsman Restaurant, Oyster Pearl Pub and near lovely Whitstable for shops and restaurants. Perfect in summer and then winter brings its own delights. Sea mists and birds, walks on the beach and marshes. Afternoons with a book in front of the fire.
The house has two double bedrooms, a luxury bathroom (with bath and walk in shower) a large open plan kitchen and living space. There is a log burning stove for cosy winter breaks. There is a lovely beach garden with a large deck, outdoor sofas and dining area. There is a record player so if you have records you want to hear again, bring them with you! The house is only really big enough for 4 people. So no additional overnight guests please.
Seasalter is a quiet beach side village. There are 2 shops in walking distance. The Michelin starred Sportsman restaurant is a 20 minute walk along the beach. The Oyster Pearl serves good home cooked food and is 5 minutes down the road. Whitstable is 3 miles away and has lots of independent shops, a fish market, harbor and many restaurants and pubs. Its famous for its oyster and seafood.
  • Great location Furnished well to a great standard

  • Having had a previously bad experience I was worried about booking. However I contacted Chris who was happy to meet with us prior to booking. I need not have worried....the beach chalet is an absolute gem. We travelled with my husbands elderly parents, dad having mobility problems. So finding a walk in shower big enough for 2 adults meant his shower stool fit in perfectly and still had room. The pictures are 100% accurate but even nicer once there. We felt like we were home from home or staying at our friends! We would not hesitate to re visit and I've already recommended friends and I've only been home 5 hours! Thank you Chris for being a genuinely warm, friendly perfect host.

    Fiona2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We all had a lovely relaxing stay in Seasalter in Chris's beautiful beachside home. Everything we needed was provided by Chris and the place was very clean and comfortable. Thank-you Chris.

  • We had an incredible cold winter stay. Would definitely love to go back

    siobhan2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Chris's place was great! Very stylish, clean, looked recently refurbished and directly at the sea, just like on the photos. We especially appreciated the special touches like fresh flowers, fresh bread and milk. Also, we enjoyed the 'old school' record player a lot.

    Antra2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of my most favourite Airbnb's yet. 2 nights just wasn't enough. We loved the location and it's direct access to the beach. Sitting by the log fire, looking out of the large windows at the tide coming and going was pure heaven. A brisk walk along the beach heading to Whitstable is a must, took about an hour to get there with two children in tow. We came away feeling super relaxed but invigorated at the same time... Would love to return for longer......

    jenny2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Chris's lovely place which was spotlessly clean and very organised. Everything has been thought of from freshly baked bread and milk to a basket full of chopped wood ready for lighting the fire. It was very cosy at night and wonderful to wake up to the sea view in the morning. We will stay here again!

    Sarah2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautiful situation. We loved it and would really recommend to others. A real home from home experience.

Oare's magic is really to be found at the end of Church Road. If you turn left as you leave the front door and keep walking (or jump in the car and drive if you'd like to save your walking for around the reserve, it'll take you 20 mins walking along the road to reach the main part of the reserve) you'll arrive at Oare Marshes Nature Reserve: (URL HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN) . To eat, you could turn right as you leave the house and wander a couple of minutes down the road to: (URL HIDDEN) (advisable to book in advance.) Our favourite cafes for lunches in Faversham are The Yard: (URL HIDDEN) , Jittermugs: (URL HIDDEN) (both child friendly) and Creek Creative: (URL HIDDEN) (less so.) other local options to be found here: (URL HIDDEN) . If you'd prefer to stay in and cook, there's a Sainsbury's store around the corner: (URL HIDDEN) or if you're happy to drive a little further afield and catch it during opening hours, we love the Sondes Arms cafe and village shop in Selling about 15 minutes drive away: (URL HIDDEN) . There's plenty to do and see in Faversham, and Whitstable (URL HIDDEN) and Canterbury are both short drives or direct rain rides away (URL HIDDEN)
  • Lucy's cottage is in a beautiful and secluded little village close to faversham and canterbury. Her house is dreamier than the photos and really felt like home! She even prepared a little welcome package for us. It's possible to reach her place via a bus, however car is easier. Village had two pubs, and a big sainsburys is not far walk away. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

    Monica2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy's cottage is lovely. Lots of quirky touches reflecting her style. A very friendly welcome from Lucy and Lilly the cat (we loved having Lilly in residence but this is optional so the property would work even if you aren't a cat lover). Ideal for a couple of nights stay. Storage may be a bit tight if you stay longer and wanted to unpack more but this wasn't an issue for us staying two nights. Nice fresh crisp bedding. Access into the cottage garden a bonus. We recommend walking down the road a mile to the wetlands, Whitstable and Canterbury.

    Jill2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little house. Our children (2 & 4 years old) didn't want to leave, they loved to play wit all the toys and the hanging chair.

    katrijn2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, nice house with fireplace and overall a lovely place for a weekend. The running water in the kitchen wasn't working properly the weekend we were there which was annoying and there were some basic utensils missing.

    Patrick2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy has her own absolutely delightful piece of calm and tranquility with her place in Oare. A suitably stylish home with a lovely soul, Lucy clearly has excellent taste and it resonates throughout the house. It is a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful place, and in a true and authentic slice of Kent with its characters, history and unique geography. From the views across the creek, to the fantastic local pub, the house is located in a great spot and I would highly recommend a stay. Lucy herself is brilliantly personable, flexible and great with communication - making us feel immediately comfortable. Thank you so much.

    Adam2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy is a lovely host, fast communication, very kind and thoughtful. The house is as described, very stylish, good size with everything you need for a great weekend getaway. I would stay again.

  • Joy and Chris were lovely hosts being extremely friendly and helpful which ensured a comfortable and relaxed stay. The place is in a quiet residential area about 10-15mins walk into town via a pleasant waterside pathway. Joy and Chris's garden is very interesting and unusual in that it is set around a nautical theme. Joy produced a great Sunday morning breakfast for us exceeding our expectations. Would definitely recommend Joy's place if you are staying in the Faversham area.

    Richard2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is very nice, very clean. The bedroom and the bathroom are separate, only for us, and we appreciated it. the breakfast was super and the hospitality was wonderful. And in more, it was very central

  • A superb location and excellently hosted by Anna. Thanks for a great stay.

    David2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
100% recomendable.

    Carolina2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's flat is only 3 min. walk from the railway station and 5 min. stroll from town centre. I was late because of the traffic and Anna had to leave her home for some chores. She kindly informed of the alternative arrangements she had made for me to have the key to the flat. My immediate impression of the flat was that it is perfect base for one or two people who wish to stay in the area for few days. Bedroom has 150 x 200 cm bed, kitchen has proper oven and stove, toaster and plenty of ware to cook simple meals for yourself. Anna had also provided a breakfast which was more than adequate. Small but cute living room has plenty of space to eat or sit down and watch telly. The shower has good pressure (which is not always guaranteed in old houses) and rest of the shower room is clean and modern. I spoke with Anna on two occasions and she provided me some very useful and good advise on where to visit and recommended nice eating places. My stay was very pleasant and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the flat to anybody wishing to visit Faversham.

  • We loved staying at Cathy's place. It is a wonderful position by the creek, and it was magical to open the garden gate and walk along the bank of the creek without seeing anybody for an hour- just birds and cattle. And 10 minutes the other way we were in lovely Faversham sampling the market fare. The rooms were comfortable and spacious - with books and lots of goodies- we enjoyed the fruit and wine and of course the delicious lemon drizzle cake.

    John2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly hosts. Everything was perfect. Very quiet area. Thanks for the good lemon cake. Very recommendable. Thanks for all.

  • We had a brilliant stay. Cathy was warm, friendly and incredibly welcoming. The communication beforehand was great and she was very accommodating with our arrival time. The space itself was well equipped, clean and very comfortable for us and our 3 yr old daughter. The homemade lemon cake was a lovely touch along with the cereals, milk, fruit and juice provided. It was lovely to meet Cathy. We would highly recommend and we'll definitely stay again next time we're in the area. Thanks Cathy!

  • We had a lovely warm welcome from Cathy, which also included a delicious freshly made lemon drizzle cake. Our self contained floor of their house was clean, nicely decorated and a very comfortable bed. It is a short walk into Faversham, where there is a good choice of restaurants. We had an excellent Italian overlooking the creek. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Cathy and Richard live in a beautiful, peaceful and scenic cul-de-sac, There home is a perfect get away. On Arrival, our hosts greeted us and were very friendly. They provided cereals, other breakfast items, a lovely lemon cake to die for, and also a chocolate covered cupcake for our daughter. We were given a tour of the space, advice on the local area including walks and good restaurants. The garden was a tranquil space, perfect for relaxing with access to amazing open fields and lakeside views. In the room, the memory form bed was exceptionally comfortable, and once the heating was on the room became lovely and warm. We were attending a wedding reception and Cathy thankfully drove us to the venue. We had a wonderful visit to Faversham and would gladly stay again. Highly Recommended.

Lovely cottage on Oare creek, nr. Faversham, Whistable borders. Lovely waterfront views. Ideal weekend getaway, longer break. Delightful walks, cycling, bird watching yards away, great gastropubs. All needed amenities. 1.5 hrs London
This is a quaint cottage in a little known but special village. It has lovely views and walks and is a source of great joy and pleasure for us. It is just over one mile from Faversham, just off M2 and 68 minutes on fast train from St Pancras. The house is used regularly by the owners. The main double bedroom has views of the creek, plus 2nd. bedroom (twins that can make a double). Attic space, one bathroom, reception and kitchen areas The house has a new boiler and everything works fine. It is not the modern-est, a bit quaint but comfortable and has a lovely feel. The bathroom is fine but not high high spec, the kitchen too, although that is well fitted with most things (no dish washer). There is a lovely view from the patio, and also a small terraced garden below. You can see the bend of the creek and the boats below and hear lovely bird sound (RSPB reserve down the road and plenty of twitchers). There is wifi and a basic but reasonable tv that can play dvd's . There is a brand new washing machine and tumble dryer.
We are just over a mile from Faversham, which is a charming town with a nice market, good restaurants and pubs, lots of antiques and charity shops. It is a short drive to the seaside cool of Whitstable, and also has easy access to Ramsgate, Margate (home of the new Turner gallery) and the lovely Broadstairs, to name but a few seaside towns. There are great walks, good neighbours, friendly pubs, many with excellent food. The 3 Mariners, 2 doors up, is one of the best (and best value) gastro pubs around and booking is advised, especially for their excellent value 3 course walkers lunches. Another real old fashioned pub, the Shipwrights Arms, is a lovely 15 minute walk away, along the water, past moored boats and indeed shipwrights. Shop-wise Oare only has 2 pubs, a second hand furniture shop on a nearby estate and Bluey's fish hut, tucked not far below the house. Surprisingly there is a largeish Sainsbury's 5 minutes drive or 10/15 minutes walk away, and Faversham's shops and market are very near. Oare is a quiet, little known village but a real gem.
  • Great property, excellent communication from the hosts and a lovely lovely area!

Great communication and information from Susan, with a fantastic place for dinner, 3 Mariners, just 2 doors away. Perfect place for a weekend getaway.

Sue and Graham extremely helpful as Dagma their neighbour. Left my Stoke park brolly which I will collect on our next visit. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. Highly recommended. .

  • Good communication from Susan throughout the booking process with lots of detail and useful local information. The house was exactly as described in the listing and our daughters loved the novelty of staying in a cottage. It was a good base for our weekend exploring the Kent coast with Whitstable and Margate a short drive (30 mins) away.

    Nigel (and Vanessa)2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay here. This is a good location for walkers, birdwatchers and those who appreciate a gastro-pub; The Three mariners is two doors away, but we were not disturbed by revellers. Compact but comfortable living space. The hosts are excellent communicators.

  • I stayed at Ali's place as I went on a Cemap mortgage course in the town. Ali is a wonderful host and cant do enough for you. The house in a 10 min walk to the town, which is a lovely friendly place to visit. Ali if full of local information and will point you in the right direction when needed. The house is very homely and you always have a welcome feel here. The bedroom is small but all you need and at 6' 4'' i was more than comfortable. I stayed for over a week and would have no problem recommending a stay with Ali to anyone.

  • Ali's wee house has a lovely friendly charm about it, and she proved to be an excellent host in helping to make the trip relaxing, comfortable and easy for me. She very thoughtfully phoned me to make sure I could find the place too. If I have business in the area again I would happily return.

  • Cozy place to stay. All I is an amazing host and went off to shop for gluten free products and fed me lots of delicious things for breakfast. Faversham is a beautiful historic town and Canterbury and Whitstable are nearby.

  • Ali was the perfect host... nothing was a problem... The room was ideal, comfortable, and just what I needed... An absolute unreserved recommendation.

    Tony2016-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ali is a lovely girl - really helpful and hospitable. She has a nice cosy home and the single bedroom is ideal for solo travellers. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to explore the local area, but the house does appear to be well-located for the local amenities. I much appreciated her kindness in accepting a booking from a bloke from the far north, in need of a bed just for the one night, with awkward checking-in timing arrangements, as well as a late return (due to commitments in the area). Ali couldn't have been any more accommodating. If anyone needed accommodation in the Faversham area, I would certainly point them in Ali's direction.

  • Lovely stay in a quite quirky property which myself and work friend both enjoyed. Was nice to say we were the first people to stay there on air bnb. The house was spacious and very clean. The property is a stones throw from town and in a decent location I. General. The facilities in the home were second to none and the garden was fantastic at night when lit up to enjoy a relaxing beer. Parking was good outside on the street more or less outside the property. Jade was fantastic and accommodating on our check in time and strived to help us the best she could around her busy family life. Thanks again and we hope to see you soon. Luke

  • We had a really nice stay. We loved the back garden. The house is convenient and the host very attentive and helpful, she left some toys for our daughter to play with which was great.

    Jennifer2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. I stayed here 3 nights with my mum. It's a lovely place and Jade was really welcoming and attentive and she left us milk bread butter and cereal which was brilliant. It's about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Only one minor caution: parking was always available but you do need to be confident with parallel parking in a tight spot or prepared to park a minute's walk up the street. Overall this was one of the best AirBNB places I've used.

    Peter2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We found Jades comfortable family home perfect for visiting Faversham and the surrounding area. As a well used home it had everything we needed to feel comfortable and make meals etc. We loved how peaceful and quiet the location was despite being on a residential street and close to Faversham town centre. The back garden was also a great place to relax.....Jade was very attentive to our needs and available on the phone when we called her which was also much appreciated.

Small but cosy cottage, and all things vintage. In the heart of a historic town surrounded by pubs and restaurants.
Pretty little cottage in the popular market town of Faversham, Kent. My house is in a perfect location, only 5 minutes walk from the train station with easy access to surrounding beaches and only a fast train away from London. Being in the heart of Faversham, you're only a stone throw away from a variety of lovely eating and drinking establishments. We are lucky to have a vintage market on the first weekend of every month, along with our normal market available every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. If you're a beer lover, not only can you smell the hops brewing but you're only walking distance away from Shepherd Neame brewery, and could even take a tour if you fancy. Just a few minutes walk away to Abbey Street, will take you down a beautiful medieval street and bring you out to the Standard Quay and the creek. Try the champagne bar, visit the quirky shops and wander around the boat yard! A lovely Artisan bakery is near by, an award winning butchers and local supermarkets also. One train stop away (10 minutes) to Whitstable- a well known harbour town where you can eat fresh fish, famous for its oysters and lovely boutique shops. Dates to remember and not to miss out on- Faversham Hop Festival- 2nd & 3rd Sept. Faversham Nautical Fair- 22nd & 23rd July. Whitstable Oyster Festival- 22nd- 24th July. (Clean bedding and towels supplied once on arrival, depending on length of stay)
Being in the heart of Faversham town- pubs and restaurants are all near by and in walking distance which is very convenient. With that in mind, if you are staying during a weekend the noise level could be higher than usual, especially when it's closing times.
  • Great little place, ideally positioned very close to pubs and restaurants, yet quiet. Clean and comfortable with good wifi and a small courtyard for dining al fresco.

  • It was nice to feel so welcomed by Sally when I arrived. It was also lovely to have a yummy homemade cake ready for a cup of tea after a long journey. The cottage was perfect for my stay. Everything is as it looked in the pictures and so I felt relaxed and at home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for Sally and as I was on my own it removed any worries I might have had. I suggest people look closely around the cottage at the lovely hand crafted items. The location was perfect for me being close to all amenities including Grocery shops, restaurants and the train station is very close. There are plenty of lovely pubs but I never found it noisy at night. For something different I recommend trying the 2 micro pubs on the high street. I would suggest venturing around Faversham to find some great historical and architectural gems. I would stay here again and again.

  • This cottage is a perfectly formed little gem in the heart of faversham. The cottage has a great vintage theme to it and is a stones throwaway from restaurants, shops and pubs. Sally was very easy to deal with and helpful suggesting restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend a stay here!

  • We loved our stay at Liz's place in Faversham. Great little house, we felt really at home and would have loved to stay for longer. It is also in a great location, a 2 minute walk to the centre of town. We have two little children so we had our dinners in and spent the evenings in the house and felt really comfortable and at home. Liz and her family were really welcoming, friendly and helpful.

  • Everything was just perfect and Liz was very kind with us! We really recommend to stay at Liz's house! The bedroom is spacious and we four fitted with no problem at all. A very convenient solution for a couple with 2 small children like us. The house is very clean and Farvesham is a lovely village, very near to canterbury and whitstable

  • We really enjoyed our stay and Liz made everything easy for us. She was very accommodating and welcoming. The house is comfortable and very conveniently located close to the train station and the city centre (ideal for us as we don't have a car). Canterbury and Whitstable are minutes away on the train. We had a lovely time.

  • Liz' place is incredibly clean and cosy and has everything you need. It is good value for money and we found it very convenient that Tesco, restaurants and train station all are in five minutes' walking distance. Liz is a helpful host and a cheerful person. We strongly recommend Liz' place!

We're very relaxed hosts so, please breakfast whenever you like. The neighbourhood is peaceful and safe. Secure dry storage for bikes overnight. One small dog is OK too as the house dog is well socialised.
Thanks for all, and your ginger cookie was amazing !

  • Unfortunately, Sally couldn't be there when we arrived, but still she was great host. She left helpful notes, breakfast was pre-prepped and absolutely delicious, fireplace was ready for us to use if we wanted to and room was specious and clean. All place looked even better than on the images and the neighbourhood was very quite, quality night sleep. Faversham was beautiful and we would happily go back and stay at Sally's place - strongly recommend!

  • After a long flight and a few missed trains, I was in need of a sense of home and base. Sally and Archie made me feel welcomed immediately. The house is cozy, unpretentious, clean with every room inviting. The warm conversations and warm fires made my stay feel like I was visiting a friend. The location of the house is perfect for anyone looking to explore Kent. In only one full day I took in Faversham's sights by foot with no problems due to the house's location. One last thing, Sally is a great cook. The breakfast is an amazing spread of beautifully prepared ingredients. I would recommend this place VERY highly and WILL be back with my entire family sometime soon.

  • Sally was the perfect host. She advised us on parking and the best things to see in Faversham (a very pretty market town btw). The room was perfect. Very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was great. Would happily return!

  • I took a trip from London to Faversham last weekend to buy garden plants and Spring flowering bulbs - I’d heard the Friday market was particularly good and reasonably priced, and decided to stay over. I wasn’t disappointed with either the market or with this charming air bnb. Sally is a most welcoming and generous host with lots of helpful information about Faversham. The loft room just as described…with the comfiest bed. Seagulls woke me in the morning, which made a welcome change from car alarms. The breakfast very much my sort of food. A very modern take on the traditional 'full English’ (which I was offered). Granola, local yogurt and raspberries, Bavarian rye which was delicious from around the corner, damson jam and lots of tea. Everything home made, except the bread (from around the corner). I thoroughly recommend this lovely Victorian terraced cottage:it’s so central, you can walk everywhere. I came and went from the market, buying plants, assembling them in the back garden, allowing me the time to consider and run out to buy more. The markets run Friday, Saturday and 1st weekend in month and has lots more artisan food. The Saturday has vintage and there are antiques on the Sunday. I’ll definitely be back for these. Drove home to North London in around 90 minutes. Car full of plants and fresh Kent apples. I had a really great time.

    Jill2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed my visit and stay with Sally - great host, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to spend time with. Home and room spotlessly clean. Delicious, healthy breakfast (homemade Granola a must! ) and one evening I had supper too - all highly recommended. Many thanks.

I also have twin bedded room listed which,if available , gives more space to a single person for the same price . I live in a quiet Cul de Sac- no passing traffic- yet its only 5 minutes from Faversham centre. There is good cycle , road and rail access to London, Canterbury and Kent coast .

I am only 5 minutes away from Faversham town centre with its Markets, Cinema, Arden Theatre , Museum , swimming pool and Art Galleries. Market days are Tues . Friday and Saturday. " The Best of Faversham " food market is on the first and third Saturdays of the month and an Antiques and collectables Fair is held on the first Sunday of the month . • Frances was a great introduction to airbnb for me. She was friendly and welcoming with a lovely house and garden in a peaceful location. It was the perfect place to stay to visit my home town.

  • This is everything I could wish from Airbnb. Don't come here if you want an anonymous boutique hotel. This is a real, and very cared for, home in a quiet location with a beautiful garden. Frances cares for her guests with good humour, generosity and helpfulness. I needed to complete some work and this proved to be the perfect place.

  • A good location, within walking distance of the town centre and with walks out along the creek into open countryside, in an interesting cul-de-sac of Victorian brick-makers' cottages. The house has three tiny bedrooms up a very narrow, twisting staircase. The bathroom/laundry-room with shower, toilet and basin is downstairs. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our hostess was kind and helpful, and we enjoyed her company. She is actively involved in the local community, so a useful source of advice and information. Our breakfast, comprising cereals and toast, tea and coffee, also included some delicious home-made quince jam. The neighbourhood is very quiet and the beds comfortable.

    Caroline2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying with Frances in her delightful cottage. She is a lovely lady who made me feel welcome straight away. The room was very nice and she had been very thoughtful in providing an information pack explaining the workings of the house and to help one enjoy the area. She is a talented artist and I visited a gallery in town exhibiting her work. Frances was an attentive host and I felt quite spoilt with hot chocolate in the evening and a hot-water-bottle to keep me cosy in bed. I would thoroughly recommend staying in her house - I felt I was staying with an old friend rather than someone I had just met.

    Imogen2016-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience of using Airbnb and Frances ensured it was positive from my initial enquiry until the end of my stay. The location is quiet, the house is cottagey and homely, and Frances is welcoming, warm and friendly. The bedroom is clean and uncluttered and the bed is very comfortable. An added bonus is the beautiful back garden. At breakfast we enjoyed fresh apple juice made from the garden windfalls and grapes from Frances' own vine!

We live in a traditional Kentish weatherboarded house down a secret alley just off the historic Abbey Street. We are big dog lovers and welcome you and your dogs. We have a garden, sitting room with fireplace, dining room and lots of dog treats.
  • Just perfect. We could not have wished for better hosts. We were made to feel incredibly welcome right from the off. Sarah and Dennis were so sensitive to our needs without being intrusive. Their home is warm, comfortable, relaxing and clean. And very beautiful. My dog had the best time mucking in with all the house dogs and being taken for a walk with them! Apple pancakes for breakfast were delicious and freshly baked biscuits for our dog. Not to mention a little homemade gin. They made, what could have been an emotionally difficult weekend for me, so much easier, just by their warmth. I cannot recommend highly enough.

  • So wonderful! I've stayed in many great AirBnBs and this was genuinely one of the nicest experiences. Loved, loved, loved it! Sarah and Dennis have a beautiful old, period home with a wood fire, big comfy sofas and dogs who curl up at your feet. It's really cosy but not cramped, lovely throughout and a brand spanking new guest bathroom. You approach it down an inviting little passage just off one of the most beautiful streets of period houses I've ever seen in England. They gave us the most warm and generous welcome, from restaurant tips to great walks with bags of good humour. It really felt more like meeting new friends, they constantly went above and beyond and were so kind and generous and full of interesting conversation - but we also felt like we had plenty of our own space, it was just right. We also had a fantastic cooked breakfast! Faversham itself is a fabulous little town for a weekend escape - totally recommend strolling by the moored boats, walks on the marshes nearby, great food at the very friendly Saturday market and some brilliant places to eat out. You also have Whitstable nearby which is a very easy 8 minutes on the train and great for sea views and oysters, but having stayed in both places I'd say Faversham has more real charm and is a perfect place for a base. Go stay here!

    Joe2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sometimes you feel compelled to travel to an exotic place that you've never been to. And then sometimes you find the perfect place on your own doorstep. I genuinely don't write reviews often. But in all of my years going to places professionally and personally, I've never felt as at home and as welcome and had as much fun as quickly as I did with Sarah and Dennis. A warm, funny, clever, kind, generous, dog loving couple within about 2 minutes, we felt that we had known them for years. They couldn't possibly have made us feel more welcome including taking care of our dog and letting us go out. We arrived as guests. We left as friends.

Fresh eggs and coffee for breakfast along with a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us when we got up. My elderly parents were with us and managed the staircase to the apartment with ease. Would love to go back as we didn't get enough time to explore Faversham properly and it's such a lovely little place.

Such as fresh bread and eggs from her chickens in the morning for breakfast. We would happily recommend Anne's place to anyone.

We have a lovely house situated in the Market Town of Faversham. It is a four bedroom house with front and back garden and off-road parking and also directly outside. Own toilet on ground floor, stairs to bathroom with baths, shower, toilet. 2 minute walk to the bus stop where you can catch a bus to the town centre or 17 min walk (0.9m). We are 5 minutes walk from the creek and 2 lakes, one of which is located at the 18th century Chart Gunpowder Mills, the oldest of its kind in the world.
5 mins to M2/A2 to London, channel ports and Canterbury. Faversham Train Station, to London Victoria, London St Pancras, Canterbury and Ebbsfleet International for Eurostar.
Visit Faversham and discover one of England’s most historic and charming towns, nestling between the rural delights of the Kent Downs and the austere beauty of its coastal wetlands. Enjoy the atmosphere of a picturesque market town with nearly 500 listed buildings. Faversham dates from pre-Roman times, is mentioned in the Domesday Book and is a bustling place with a fine range of independent shops. Two minutes from the M2 and just over an hour from London by mainline train, Faversham is easily accessible. The area’s outstanding attractions are within a few minutes' drive of each other. With plentiful, excellent eateries, many using local produce, and with great retailing Faversham is an ideal destination for a day visit or a short break. We are excellent base for exploring local leisure activities and places of interest from country houses and gardens to the UK’s oldest brewery and from the national fruit collection to internationally important nature reserves. Faversham also has some of the best walking in England, with way-marked routes through stunning Kent countryside.

A large, victorian, semi-detached property, located 2 minutes walk away from the historic, medieval town centre of Faversham. This bright and spacious double room is on the first floor, overlooking a rear garden. It is very quiet. The room is simply furnished, with a very comfortable futon bed, bedside table, chest of drawers and a small sofa. The room has a lockable door.
Attractive to sight-seers, festival goers, walkers and cyclists, Faversham is a very attractive medieval market town, with very little crime or antisocial behaviour. It is quite safe to walk around at any time of the day. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants within a short walk. Please ask us for our recommendations - we have tried most of them!

Faversham is the essential English market town. Historic, traditional, and surrounded by magnificent Kent countryside. It has a local market 3 times a week selling delicious local farm produce and home made food. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Large private double room with shared bathroom in 3-bedroomed Victorian terraced house. Decorated in a traditional style and with free parking. Continental breakfast included in price. Bath robes and hairdryer provided. In the winter time a welcoming wood burning stove in the dining room I have a male cat, Fluffy, who is a very friendly long-haired ginger cat. About me: I'm semi-retired, a keen gardener, walker, reader and local volunteer. I am an active and passionate supporter of a number of organisations that campaign for social justice.

  • Nothing but superlatives. Penny makes you (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication was very easy and fast through phone/mail. Lovely house, lovely garden. She serves excellent breakfast, as small or as big as you want. She'll provide you with info (hikes, train hours, places to visit) if needed. The room is large and very comfortable, the neighbourhood is silent. The house is at walking distance from the trainstation, which has excellent connections to explore the region in a relaxed way. We won't doubt for a second whenever we come back to this region!

  • Penny's beautiful house is complemented by the perfect hostess. The room is extremely comfortable and her breakfast delicious. I will be back!

  • Really enjoyed my time in Faversham. Penny is a very welcoming host and her house is lovely. The room is large, bright and comfortable and breakfast is really good. There's a beautiful garden and let's not forget Fluffy the friendly ginger cat :-).

  • I really enjoyed my stay in Faversham, my first visit. Penny was very helpful with tips on where to eat as well as a potted history of Faversham. The room and facilities at Penny's are first class with nice touches like home made preserves and local fruit juice for breakfast.

    Andrew2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed every minute of my stay at Penny's house. The house has a very good warm feeling to it and is very clean. The room is beautiful, has three big windows that face the sky. I spent most of the time of my stay in the room since I came mainly to close some gaps in the writing of my Phd and I think I was very lucky to find this room since it was perfect for this purpose. Penny is a very pleasant and interesting women. She made me feel very comfortable in her house and was conscious of my need of privacy. The fresh breakfast of fresh cut fruit salad, home made marmalades, whole grain bread etc.. was an unbelievable and amazing way to start every day. I recommend Penny's room whole heartedly to anyone who wishes to visit the area.

  • Penny was a lovely host, very welcoming and accommodating. A wonderful host all round. Nice clean comfortable bright room and good value for money. Breakfast is adequate although from other reviews I was expecting a much better breakfast (no cooked breakfast on offer) although Penny makes her own preserves which are a lovely touch. I would definitely stay with penny again. Faversham is a lovely town, very peaceful and steeped in history. (Review by my husband who stayed here while working locally)

Our 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment in our Victorian house is a few minutes walk from historic Faversham town centre which has a huge variety of restaurants and cafes. Guests have exclusive use of modern ensuite shower room. The apartment has flat screen TV with free view, DVD player and free use of wifi. There is no kitchen but tea and coffee making facilities are provided, along with microwave, kettle, small fridge and toaster. Tea, coffee, milk etc provided plus plates and cutlery.
The apartment is less than 5 mins walk from all amenities including the train station, post office, library, independent cinema, Tesco supermarket and the cobbled market place which hosts a market held three times a week and an antiques and food market once a month. Hop on a train to visit the cathedral cities of Rochester and Canterbury There are events throughout the year such as the Hop Festival, Classic Vehicle Show, Maritime Festival, Open Houses, Open Gardens etc etc, along with weekly musical recitals.
Faversham is a lovely medieval twin, although small it has an active event calendar throughout the year. It's location makes it ideal for access to Canterbury and the coastal towns as well as London
  • Located in a beautiful home, very clean and comfortable although no kitchen as such everything provided for a light break fast/ meal with a table and chairs. Probably best for a couple with 2 children as loft area has restricted height. But otherwise great.

  • Liz's place was very well prepared for guests and in a very convenient area of faversham. We were only there overnight after a festival but we still had a great night.

  • The accommodation is great and suited a family of four perfectly. The children loved having their own room and enjoyed watching the films on offer. The facilities in the room were great with everything needed to make breakfast and sit at a table to eat. The location was perfect being a short walk into town and to the nearby park. It is a great location to explore the surrounding area. Liz and her family were very welcoming and helpful.

    Catherine2017-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, comfortable stay for a family of 4. Close to train station. Liz provided a permit for street parking.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay in Faversham. The room itself was very comfortable, clean and spacious for our family of four. It feels very separate to the rest of the house so you definitely feel like you have your own space. Our 3 year old loved her bedroom, especially the large dice to play with!! There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge, microwave and toaster, which were very handy. There is also a wide selection of books and DVDs in the room and a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided - very well thought out. Liz and Jim were approachable, welcoming and friendly hosts. Liz went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, providing children's DVDs and toys for our daughter and helping us with our bags on arrival. We would love to stay again some time, thank you very much xx

    Laura2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home, beautifully furnished-felt very private. Brilliant location for getting around Kent. Would definitely stay again.

  • We had a lovely stay. Great to have our own two rooms that were very comfortable and quiet. Liz and her partner were friendly and helpful but gave us space to just do our thing over three days coming and going. A beautiful and characterful house, 10 min walk to the train station, 5 mins to the main shops, Faversham is a scenic and fascinating town to visit, but easy to get to Whitstable, Canterbury and Margate by train for days out. Liz's was the ideal place to stay. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely modern 3 story townhouse with outdoor area to relax in, outdoor furniture to use in the summer time. Access to living area, use of TV, wifi and reading spaces. A very comfortable place to have a break in. Small office available for use if needed.
Quiet, tranquil spot in an historic town. Close to waterway (creek) and many amazing restaurants. From our place you can walk into town, sample the markets and fine food on offer. You can walk out to the countryside along the creek to find yourself some quiet space. We are a 10 min walk from the train station and have easy access to Canterbury and all that is on offer there.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to walkways. There are a couple of nice restaurants close by and a couple of lovely pubs to relax in also. About 8 mins walk to the Faversham High Street and also a few minutes walk to a lovely group of antique-style shops with wine bar and cafe for relaxing in. It may also be possible to arrange a relaxing Reiki treatment or reflexology treatment for you while you are staying with us - this would need to be booked prior to your arrival.
  • Unfortunately we didn't have the time to know better Janelle but we liked our stay. The location is perfect and the house is great. Thank you for the understanding in check in time. It was all great!

  • This place is such easy access on foot to the town, and there is free parking - which is a bonus in Faversham!! Janelle was easy to talk with over use of kitchen etc. I knew there were 2 flights of stairs and had packed accordingly but there were times when I wished there were not so many stairs. I was only there 2 nights and the hosts and myself were both quite busy so we didn't see a lot of each other. This wasn't an issue however. It was lovely to be able to sit in the garden to eat in the evening as it was so warm.

    Sue2017-06-24T00:00:00Z

Il mio posto è vicino all'autobus, alla stazione ferroviaria e all'accesso all'autostrada M2.
  • We had a fantastic time staying at Catharine's place. She replied our booking fast, and welcomed us in the best way in her home. We enjoyed her beautiful and calm apartment The room was very spacious with a nice shower. Catharine and her husband were very friendly hosts, they welcomed us wirh a nice cup of tea and they gave us very helpful tips on how to best explore Faversham. We highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting Faversham.

  • Catherine and Tony were truly wonderful hosts. This is the first time I have stayed in a private room rather than a whole house/apartment and the experience was one I would recommend. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, even offering to help clean my girlfriends shoes before the wedding we were attending. They were full of helpful advise for the area and the breakfast the next day was spot on.

  • We visited Faversham for a family event. We were made to feel very welcome and were given some excellent cake on our arrival. The room was pleasant, quiet and comfortable. The shower was highly convenient and wash basin very useful. We were able to come and go as we pleased and were very happy with the breakfast, which had been prepared and presented with care. Not only will we use the accommodation again, but we will recommend it to our other family members who frequently visit Faversham. Thanks for a lovely stay. Emma

  • I have just got back from visiting a relative and had an overnight stay with Catherine and Tony. Very warm welcome, lovely home all as described, including secure parking and really close to Faversham town centre. I enjoyed chatting to them both over a lovely breakfast which included a fresh homegrown fig from their garden and they gave me really good advice about places to visit in the town, though sadly i didn't have time to get to them all. I will definitely return for another stay when i'm down in Kent. Thank you both

I live in a Victorian semi-detached house, a three-minute walk from Faversham Train Station, from which you can travel to London in just over an hour. Ashford, with Eurostar trains to Paris and Brussels, is twenty minutes away. Canterbury, with its Cathedral, rich history, and two universities, is nine minutes by train.
I have two friendly poodles, an affectionate cat and two bantams. My garden has a small vegetable patch, I have a handful of fruit trees, a greenhouse and summer house, and a piano, which piano-playing guests may sometimes play.
Athelstan Road is a friendly neighbourhood -- lots of families, dogs, cats, and lovely town gardens. As it's convenient to the train station, it's always full of life. There are grocery stores and other shops and a great market (Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday) just a short walk into town.
  • Killara and her sons have a beautiful home and we had a wonderful time in their clean and homely place. I would highly recommend this. Killara was a fantastic host providing a wonderful breakfast each morning and made us very welcome.

    Tania2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Killara was a very welcoming host and provided everything we could possibly need for our stay, including a lovely breakfast. Her home is very central, being close to both the railway station and the town centre. We had two bedrooms and use of a private bathroom. You would have to like dogs as the poodles live there too, but they were really no bother. The accommodation was so comfortable that I managed to sleep through a thunderstorm.

    Richard2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Killara is very warm and welcoming and really helpful communication before arrival. Private bathroom and a comfortable bed, two lovely dogs and a sociable cat gave me a very pleasant stay. Would certainly recommend to friends.

1 bedroom chalet directly on the beach in front of a Michelin starred pub. The property has stunning sea views and is cosy in both the summer and winter months.
The charming seaside town of Whitstable is located in the Northeast of Kent. The town is situated approximately five miles north of the city of Canterbury and two miles west of Herne Bay. From the seashore, the town of Whitstable also boasts excellent views of the Isle of Sheppey which is only a short distance away. One of the main characteristics of the quaint town of Whitstable is the booming oyster business that it has all year round. Oyster harvesting started in the Roman times and is a continued pastime in the town of Whitstable, as well as providing the local bars and restaurants with fresh oysters and other seafood daily, Whitstable also celebrates the importance of oyster to their town with a festival. Whitstable prides itself on its authentic and slightly bohemian charm which provides guests with a unique and welcoming feel you don’t always find in big cities. Close to Whitstable harbour is the famous Harbour Street which provides guests with pretty shop front, boutiques and restaurants all of which are situated in building that haven’t changed from over a hundred years. As well as the Oyster Festival and the famous Harbour Street what is there to do in Whitstable you may wonder...but fear not, there is no lack of things to entertain and occupy your time while on your holiday. The Horsebridge Centre puts on a wide variety of events for guests to enjoy from art-house film evening to comedy nights; there is something for everyone to sink their teeth into. The beautiful Whitstable Playhouse still put on a variety of plays and other performances throughout the year, which is perfect for after dinner entertainment. If music and live bands are more your scene then you will not be disappointed as most of Whitstable’s local pubs and bars regularly host live music events such as The Old Neptune, The Duke of Cumberland and The East Kent.

  • Choice spot indeed, perfect for an early morning swim, beach stroll and 5* meal at the local Michelin starred boozer. The hut is exactly what you want from a beach side chalet. Thanks Daniel!

  • This is a brilliant place to stay if you're looking for a very relaxing getaway. Two days/nights snuggled up in the sitting room with the fire going and a glass of wine, looking out over the beach was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The bedroom and bathroom are not quite so comfortable but the beach hut/cottage does offer everything you could need to hide away. If you are staying here, book early at The Sportsman pub, as we tried but it was fully booked. There's nothing else to do in the local vicinity, although Whistable is a short drive away and well worth a visit.

  • We had a brilliant couple of days here. The chalet was everything we expected it to be. Quiet, cosy, comfortable and typical of what we think a seaside retreat should be. We were even lucky with the weather considering it being December. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

  • The Hut was immaculate. Beautiful views across the Thames estuary. Also presented a fantastic opportunity to go to a Michelin started restaurant. Perhaps pricy for what it's worth.

  • What a lovely stay we had in Seasalter, the views were fantastic overlooking the beach. A perfect seaside retreat. As it was a great base to explore the local area with great fish eateries on your doorstep.
