  • We enjoyed our stay in Lance's unique home, especially the spectacular views. Lance welcomed us warmly and gave us a tour, explaining the history of his home. It served as a great base for exploring Portland.

    Libby2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was awesome! Thanks Lance! The most gracious host. You have the most unique house we've ever stayed in. And and we are architecture nerds. We love Bukowski!

    Sheila2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a gem. It is located on the hills above the city, and you get an unobstructed view all the way to my. Helena and Hood. To be clear to those who rent, the rental is for the entire downstairs area and Lance lives on the second level. Lance was great about communicating and gave us our space to enjoy our stay. He also made coffee for us in the morning and made us feel very welcome! Would definitely recommend.

    John2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse is one of the most unique airbnb stays that we've had. The view is absolutely incredible. Lance was easy to communicate with, and everything was as described.

    Megan2015-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lance's house was beautiful, exactly what we needed towards the end of a long road trip. Very relaxing! Lance is courteous and informative of places to check out!

    Katherine2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great combination of location and view, short drive from downtown but far enough you can enjoy some tremendous views...Lance is very easy going

    Thomas2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • I'll just repeat what I said for my other stay, because it's all there is to say: Lance has a fantastic place to stay and he's a great host. The house is what it appears to be - quite singular. The views are spectacular. Your private suite downstairs is cozy and well equipped. Upstairs the common room is a striking semicircle of glass dotted with couches. Lance is a very pleasant fellow and will engage with you as much as you like, and will leave you alone as well. There's a really super chilled-out cat, too! You're up in hills and out of the way of the city but it's only 10-15 minutes away by car.

Cottage casco unico costruito a mano accanto a lg. Caratteristica dell'acqua dello stagno. Lg. Cortile recintato e recintato.
  • Jack and Cris's cottage was a truly magical place nestled in a beautiful neighborhood in Portland. It was walkable both to Division St and Hawthorne, where I spent the majority of my time but you will need to Uber to downtown. We will certainly try to stay with Jack and Cris next time we visit Portland!

    Erin 2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Although we didn't cross paths with Jack and Cris during our short stay, the cottage and its associated private bathroom was absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay, and we loved being right off SE Division - so many places to eat and drink! Would recommend to anyone looking for a true taste of Portland.

    Liam2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cob house is very calming and serene. The yard is tranquil and the cats friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the pond and having coffee and relaxing. Great stay!

    Jen2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • So quiet at night. Very peaceful and cozy.

    Kerston2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jack and Cris were out of state when I came, but Cris was very helpful by phone. The cottage is delightful--adorable details, amazing design, beautiful setting--and the neighborhood is ideal for coffee, breakfast, and other worldly delights. Highly recommended!

    Sarah2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful secluded but central cottage. Felt very private and cozy.

    Jacqueline2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cute warm cottage with lush garden. The washroom is in the back part of the house and was very clean. There is also a lounge where one can heat up some water or warm up food. Quiet and relaxing.

    Adela2017-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Went there with my fiancé. Highly recommended charming cottage! Rarely have we seen such a special place to stay the night. The hosts are very understanding (we had a long drive and arrived late) and very helpful with tips for thing to do and eat in Portland. The neighborhood is cosy and super close to a lot of great restaurants, cafées and others. There was absolutely no problem with the bathroom being inside the house, it is easily accessable and cover your needs. We are so happy with our stay!

This quaint totally furnished garden cottage, one bedroom apt. is private with it's own key, private entrance, and courtyard in the downstairs of our historic brick English tutor home in Laurelhurst, a beautiful old Portland community! Read our outstanding reviews!
This quaint 1 bedroom furnished apt. is located downstairs in our historic brick English tutor home. It has a separate key, private entrance, and courtyard. The space is well-lit with two windows and has a back door to a beautiful garden and patio in the backyard as well as a side door to the courtyard. The location is Laurelhurst - one of Portland's oldest and most beautiful planned communities on a quiet, tree lined street within 10 minutes of the city and 15 min. from the airport. Major shopping, wonderful restaurants and one of Portland's most beautiful parks are all within walking distance. This ideal location is only two blocks from a major bus line and 5 blocks from the MAX train. It is also within walking distance of favorite east side shopping and dining areas, including Hawthorne, Belmont and 28th street. When you enter this mid-century decorated apartment you will immediately feel at home! You will find a comfortable queen sized bed, overstuffed chair and desk with the latest mesh technology wireless internet, flat screen TV with cable, Blu-ray CD player, a collection of movies in the bedroom. The newly tiled bathroom has a tub and shower and, although there is not a separate "living room", the kitchen and pantry is fully furnished with everything you may need to make your own meals if you choose (i.e. microwave, gas stove, refrigerator, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, spices, condiments, etc.). Other amenities include a private courtyard, washer/dryer in the apt., and easy walking distance to bus, train, restaurants and shopping. More information on our historic home can be found on Oregon Encyclopedia website. Search for "Brick House Beautiful". Our home has also been in "Better Home and Gardens" magazine and has been twice on the cover of "Old House Journal". If we are home when you arrive, we will be happy to give you a tour of our home and offer you a cup of tea or a glass of wine while you have complete access to our English gardens, courtyard and barbecue during your stay. We think you will be pleased if you choose to stay in the "Quaint English Garden Apartment " located in our beautiful historic home!
Laurelhurst is an historic old Portland neighborhood with beautiful homes, street trees and a huge park a few blocks away designed by the Olmsted's who designed Central Park in NYC. You will see how homes in Laurelhurst are each very different and unique from craftsmen with large porches to smaller bungalows with beautiful gardens.
  • We felt very welcomed by our hosts. The place was way beyond our expectations. The decor was absolutely charming, so many extras were provided, and the outside was just beautiful. The washer/dryer was welcomed, as were all the reading materials about the area. As far as we are concerned, this was the most charming and well supplied place we stayed in our entire two weeks on the road.

    Caren2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The basement apartment was very cozy. We loved the retro decorations.

    Audrey2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully decorated and comfortable living space. Really felt like a home away from home, and Bob and Sue were wonderful hosts. From the little things like free coffee, cookies and wine, to giving us a lift to the train station after our stay!

    Devin2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful cottage made us feel so at home. We loved drinking wine in the gorgeous backyard garden. We loved having our own little kitchen and washer and dryer! The bed was very comfortable also. Sue and Bob are fantastic people. We enjoyed their company the few time we were able to chat. The Laurelhurst area is quiet and has easy access to every place we wanted to visit. Some of our favorite restaurants were Teote, Lardo East, Ecliptic Brewery, Jam on Hawthorne, Trinket, Tamale Boy, Migration and Batter Griddle and Drinkery. The Laurelhurst park is so close to Bob & Sue's - very worth it. We also loved visiting The Grotto, which has breathtaking views! This cottage apartment is near all the shopping! It's centered between the artsy northern Alberta & Mississippi districts and the cool southern districts of Hawthorne & Belmont. Sue gave us great tips about Cannon Beach. We were so glad she told us to visit Hug Point! We loved this trip! We absolutely adored this cottage! Bob & Sue are the best! We cannot wait to go back next year!

  • What a beautiful home! This cozy apartment is so adorable. It's nestled in a beautiful neighborhood which is lovely to walk around. We were greeted immediately by our friendly housecat Snowball, who appreciated lots of good ear scratching. A great stay in Portland. Only wish we had more time!

    Katie2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place just as described. Hosts were very pleasant and attentive. Extra points for Snowball, the cat.

    Portland, Oregon, Stati Uniti

With lots of space and light, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, a queen bed, oak floors, art on the walls, handmade furniture, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a queen bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • Despite arriving several hours earlier than anticipated, Jason was welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. This listing is plain, relatively spartan in furnishings, but very clean. Quiet, residential street perfect for an after meal walk. I consider Jason an excellent Air BnB host - "hands off" except when you need a little assistance. Then he's quickly available and gracious.

    Constance2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Portland at Jason's apartment was excellent! He was very accommodating, the apartment was very comfortable and in a great location, and the suggested restaurants list on his welcome note was very much appreciated. But the best part for us was that the apartment is pet friendly which meant that we could have our cat with us (we were in the process of moving to a new state) - not an easy characteristic to find in Airbnb listings. Overall it was a great experience!

    Amanda2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very nice and just as described. It was a perfect location within walking distance to my conference and there were great places to stop around 15th and Broadway. Jason was easy to contact and check in and check out were very easy. I would definitely recommend this location to travelers.

    Nikolas2014-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute house and studio! Lovely neighborhood for walking - gorgeous gardens and homes on the walk to Alberta street Washer and dryer were convenient too!

    Jessica2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was clean and exactly as the pictures show. The fireplace is an awesome feature but sadly we did not have a chance to use it! The bed was comfortable however, we continued to roll into the center. The location was awesome - an easy commute to downtown and the surrounding area that had lots of good restaurants and bars. The bus was also very accessible from the apartment and the tickets were easy to purchase online.

    stacey2015-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Jason in Portland. He was more responsive via text than Airbnb messages. Neighborhood is great and very walkable to shops, parks, grocery store etc.

    Emily2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say Location, Location, Location. Its located in the historic Irvington district. 10 minute drive to downtown, 5 minute drive to the Alberta Arts District. Great place to stay if you want to get out of the busy downtown area. Jason’s studio was spacious and quaint. Everything about it screamed out Portland. Although the space is part of a 7 room house. You still get privacy and the bonus is that it has its own entry way. Jason was an awesome host. We had a chance to talk to him and he told us some history about the house, as well as the neighborhood. He had a lot of books that gave us insight on places to eat and visit. Also he set up the fire place for us so we could use it one of the nights. All together my stay was great! If you have a chance to book this place, don’t hesitate!

  • The beds are very comfy and the room has a great vibe. It was in a walkable distance to restaurants and shops, specifically Mississippi Street. Timothy approved our stay within an hour of us booking, we did not give much notice so he was very accommodating. Highly recommended!

    Autumn2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Tim's place so we could be close to the Moda Center for a game. The room was very cozy, and the bed was huge and honestly more comfy than most beds I have slept on. It's very central to lots of shopping, food, and breweries in NEPO. Very pet friendly!

    Lauren 2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The room is large and clean. It even has a small fridge, which was very useful for me. The bathroom and shower is shared. Timothy was very helpful and accommodating with check-in/out process, which enabled me to check-in later in the evening. I would recommend it.

    David2016-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Private room was spacious and comfortable with in-room sink and mini-fridge. Located immediately next door to Ned Ludd restaurant, which is also highly recommended. Just a short walk from Alberta St, and a short drive to the cool Hawthorne neighborhood. I would be happy to stay here again.

    Brett2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room was amazingly big, Timothy was very pleasant and always available. Everything from the bed to the sink to the wardrobe was top quality, I wanted to stay longer. Definitely recommended.

    Derek2015-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy was a very gracious and flexible host. He and the other guests were friendly, a great little book in town with everything you need within blocks. Timothy welcomed me and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfy! Very easy bus ride to the convention center!

    Tanya2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was accurate. The room was lovely. The bed was great. We never met Timothy. We texted him with a question and he responded promptly. Two bathrooms and a shower room are across the hall and used by others as well which were very clean. There's a refrigerator, microwave and sink in the room, definite pluses. The room gets good light.

    Jan 2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place was perfect for our stay! Clean, conveniently located, and it was equipped with everything we needed. Tim was available whenever we needed him, and Ned Ludd's -- the adjacent restaurant -- was lovely!

Everything you need is here at our brand new guesthouse loft: a luxurious, lofted queen bedroom; high ceilings with floods of natural light, a modern kitchen, full bath with heated tile, comfy sleeper sofa for extra guests, and Stumptown Coffee with organic cream. The loft rests at the back of the property, one block from bustling Division St, and short blocks from restaurants, coffeeshops, & the Woodsman Tavern, named “One of America’s Best Bars,” by Esquire Magazine.
The loft is located in our backyard in Southeast Portland. While we are only steps away if you need us, the space is very private. In fact, guests report that they forget they are in the middle of the city when they stay in our space! Guests park easily on the street in front of our house.
Our neighborhood has everything you will need, mostly within a five-minute walk! And if you want to visit a different part of the city, there is convenient public transportation around the corner. Check out excellent coffeeshops blocks away (Good Coffee and Stumptown), delicious and intimate restaurants (Bete Lukas, Mi Mero Mole, The Woodsman), or walk up to Mt. Tabor Park. If you're into yoga, there's an awesome space (Yoga Union) around the corner.
  • We had a fantastic stay at Laurel and Brian's place. The loft is bright and airy with a tasteful, but unpretentious, Scandinavian vibe. We walked to restaurants and bars and enjoyed amazing baked goods from the nearby French bakery. We hope to return someday soon.

    Mark2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and a great location. Laurel & Brian made it extremely easy to check in and there was parking available in the neighborhood whenever we needed it. The furniture was comfortable and there were a ton of suggestions for places to eat in the guestbook and manual provided by the hosts - many in walking distance. I'll always check for this place when I visit Portland.

    William2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, the house was clean, quiet and comfortable. Just as described. Nice neighborhood with a bunch of walkable destinations. Laurel and Brian were easy to work with and accommodated a couple of help needed requests that made it a great visit for our family.

    Matt2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel and Brian delivered a nice, clean, well appointed and rather hip guest house, it was very much enjoyed. Suggest trying the Fern restaurant just around the corner for breakfast or lunch.

  • So great! This place is amazing. 10/10. Would stay again.

  • Hands down, the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at. Wow. Spacious, light & airy, everything you might need, tastefully decorated, completely private and quiet (yes, in the city) Further, Laurel couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating with regard to early arrival and receipt of a package I needed to send ahead prior to arrival. And she even recommended other Airbnbs and places to visit. A wonderful host! Superb. I seriously hope to return.

Come relax in our quiet mid-century cabin style home with lots of character! Enjoy the sunny yoga/music room with skylights, sitting by the fireplace, mature green space (with friendly chickens :), hammock, short walk to the river, and easy access to Portland and the light rail.
Our guest room is small but charming, with white-washed knotty pine walls, a large closet, and a private window. Very comfortable double bed.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. It is well situated close to the Willamette River and the Trolley Trail, which is great for walking/running/biking. It's just a short 10 minute walk to Elk Rock Island as well. We are 1 mile from downtown Milwaukie which has a few good restaurants and bars, a new food cart pod, and a lovely farmers' market- and it's a nice 20 minute walk along the river (or 1 stop away on the light rail) to get there! Our home is 1 mile from a great Fred Meyer grocery store with a large natural food section, or about 3 miles to one of Portland's excellent local natural food stores, New Seasons (Sellwood location).
  • Alexis and Aaron were fantastic hosts. There home was wonderful and the space they provided was well kept and charming. Overall a wonderful stay with great down to earth couple as hosts.

    Zac2015-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Alexis and Aaron was incredible. I needed a place to call home for a week when I moved to Portland and I found the perfect place staying with them. The house is just as they describe! Charming, welcoming, clean lots of space. You feel at home the moment you walk through the gate and into the house. The neighborhood felt safe, the yard was relaxing.. and the smoothies were so delicious!! The parking space on the left of the driveway was very convenient and made me feel even more at home! Alexis and Aaron made me feel as though I was an old friend passing through town, sharing stories and experiences in the garden, or when I was able to share a meal with them. The bed was very comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom spaces have everything you need and plenty of space. Everything you could think of wanting or needing, they have available! Thank you Alexis and Aaron!!

  • Such a great experience we used AirBnB all weekend and this was our best stay. Good location and very accommodating to anything we need. Super friendly and a very nice unique house.

  • Awesome, cute place!! Hosts were amazing.

    Molly2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • It's a sweet home in a sweet neighborhood. Quiet neighborhood - even the chickens were quiet! Alexis was very helpful with getting us acclimated for restaurants and directions. Easy walking distance to the river and downtown Milwaukie and centrally located for Lake Oswego and the happening Sellwood district. And the Max close by would make it quite easy to explore Portland, or to get back and forth to the airport. They have their house set up so their living and bedroom space is quite separate from the guest room and bathroom. I was a little worried that we would disturb them when we used the kitchen as we're early risers but it seemed to work out OK. We enjoyed our early morning walks in the neighborhood. We weren't there much during the day so we didn't interact much - still Alexis was a hospitable and gracious hostess. Everything was laid out well - towels, shampoo, comfortable bed, plenty of blankets. My husband and I were quite happy with our decision to stay there.

  • This was a great place to stay! The description of the space was very accurate- private bedroom, bathroom, and den. The house was very neatly decorated. I really enjoyed the sunroom and coffee in the mornings! Very close to the end of the Orange line, which made for easy access to the city. Alexis and Aaron were very welcoming and provided great information for things to do in the city.

    Sarah2016-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • I have definitely found my " home away from home " when I visit Portland! There is such an air of hospitality and graciousness about Aaron and Alexis and their home. Very clean, peaceful, considerate. I loved waking up to a roaring fire, amazing Portland french pressed coffee, and Alex's smoothies. I have already recommended this house to several friends. I look forward to returning!!

  • Alexis and Aaron made me feel welcomed immediately! I was arriving late after a 15 hour drive and they let me know early how I could get in and that there'd be coffee waiting for me in the morning :) Luckily, I got there early enough and met the two of them and they gave me a quick rundown on the area and, more importantly, where I could get some food. It's a beautiful room in a beautiful house. I can't recommend this place enough!

This tranquil hideaway feels like you're in the middle of the forest, but is just minutes from Portland. Relax next to the burbling creek surrounded by towering cedar trees. The MAX Orange line and downtown Milwaukie are only five minutes away. Built in 1928, the cabin has central heat, one bedroom and bathroom, a living room and a full kitchen. The bedroom has one queen bed and an en suite bathroom. There is also a pull-out queen futon in the living room.
Ducks, great blue heron and owls are frequent visitors in the yard. Depending on the season, fresh eggs from our chickens may be available.
Milwaukie is about 15 minutes south of downtown Portland (a bit longer if there's traffic). Except at rush hour, highway 99 is a quick and easy way to access all that the closer-in neighborhoods have to offer. Then escape to your retreat in the woods!
  • This place is as magical as it looks. Make yourself a little coffee in the french press and sit by the fire or go outside and listen to the creek rushing over rocks. Chances are you won't want to leave.

  • Lovely home base from which to explore the area. Darling cabin, furnished with care to guests' comfort and convenience. Quiet, peaceful & beautiful property. Excellent access to public transportation. Pat & Heather are great hosts who go out of their way to help make your visit a happy one. We'll be back!

    Marisa2017-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pat was a wonderful host during our stay. He took the time to show our 18 year old son how to properly chop wood, make kindling and prepare a fire for the fireplace in the cabin. Pat was excellent with communication and made sure Everything we needed during our stay was readily available upon our arrival. The cabin was conveniently located, felt private and exceeded our expectations. Bed ,futon and pillows were both super comfy. The fuzzy sheets/blankets were amazing. Pictures don't do this space justice. If you are looking for a clean, cozy place to stay that's not too far from downtown Portland this is the place to book.

  • Wonderful cabin tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin is nicely decorated and we were very comfortable our entire stay. Heather and Pat are both very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

    Laura2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a true gem. Everything was as described and even better in multiple aspects. Pat and Heather decorated and furnished the cabin with only the best in mind for their guests. Wish I could have had more time to use the fireplace and kitchen. Would recommend to anyone looking to relax while in PDX.

    Oscar2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay. 20-25 minutes from downtown but feels like a romantic cabin in the woods. Make sure to plan some time to enjoy a hot coffee in the morning at the river.

  • Everything was great! The location was perfect, it wasn't too far from Portland, and other great locations for restaurants. The price for the room was definitely, definitely A REAL STEAL!! This was my first time using AirBnb, and I was glad Greg and Pam were the first for us! The place was really like a hotel--it had enough space and things to accomdate 4 people. It did get a little chilly but they covered for it for having lots of blankets :)! They are wonderful, and are very nice hosts, with a cozy home! It felt like I lived in Portland, Oregon for a little bit. I hope I can come back to this place one day ^0^!

    Diana2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Greg’s place was just as suggested. It was extremely clean and homey. It was within twenty minutes driving to everywhere we wanted to go. Easy to get to. Quiet with plenty of space to relax. Our family had a great stay and would definitely return. Greg and wife were very nice as well.

    Simca2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Greg and Pam's place. They were extremely warm and welcoming hosts, and so helpful throughout our stay. The place itself is great - clean and spacious with lots of great local information guides and maps provided. Location is fantastic - there are lovely local shops, bars, and restaurants close by and it's very close to the Springwater Corridor Trail for easy biking/walking access to downtown Portland. We would return in a heartbeat!

    Sophie2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and impeccably clean basement apartment. Spacious and warm during a rare snowstorm in Portland. Greg and Pam are lovely hosts and very accommodating to guests' needs. I would stay here again if I come back to the area!

  • Pam and Greg were very accommodating with our last minute booking. Everything was very clean and the windows made it bright and cheery. The best feature was the heated bed!

    Kevin2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Greg were great hosts!! They accommodated for our family well! They even had toys for our kids there! We loved our visit in Portland as well! We plan on staying here again when we comeback!

    Zac2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my two sons stayed for two nights at Greg's and Pam's House. We had a really lovely and gorgeous stay. We had an early check in at one o'clock am and a we were offered a flexibel chek out. Greg really took his time to help us with our questions and showed us some sightseeing attractions. Everything was very clean and comfortable, so we had no worries about anything :) There's a train Station to downton 15 minutes by foot, so there's no need in driving to town. We were really happy about the Family's Engagement and can just highly recommend that place. They were great hostes

The 400 sq ft Studio sits in the middle of a garden and backs up to Sellwood park. Best location in Sellwood with the Willamette River & Springwater Bike Trail out the door. A stand alone private studio-with sun & light, NOT a basement. Washer & Dryer are currently not working. Downtown Portland is just 15 minutes away.
The studio has an urban modern vibe and sits in the middle of a lush garden. There is a Sleeper sofa that opens to a bed on the main level, Queen bed in loft via the ladder and a blow up single bed or cot. Full kitchen with microwave and two hotplates- no oven, full bath and washer/dryer. The studio is close to Willamette River and the Sellwood Park is right behind the garden. You can walk to all the stores, coffee shops, wine shops. There are Bus lines and Car 2 Go options for commuting. New Sellwood Bridge is completed. It's all here! Sellwood Pool and Park Springwater Bike/Walking Trail Oak Park Amusement Park Food Carts Library Wine shops New Seasons Market Grand Central Bakery Bike Shops Yoga Come and explore Portland I have lived here for 25 years! I have two vintage Schwinn bikes you can use that are to the side of the studio - use the locks! Bistro patio set and extra teak chairs for guests. I also have picnic basket and blanket so you can enjoy the park behind. You come and go at your own - if you have questions or need suggestions I just text me I live on 16th st. Walkable shops, all the parks and the Willamette river! Easy access to downtown. There is a new Sellwood bridge being built but traffic can still go over. Car to Go and bus system and Zip car are near by.
Sellwood is a nice neighborhood on the Willamette River. It has several parks, and access to the popular Springwater Bike trail. Walkable and friendly with shops and restaurants and easy access to downtown. It is called Sleepy Sellwood but is quickly being discovered! New York Times just listed it as one of the top 50 places to visit!
  • Wow, what a great stay! The cottage was beautiful and had everything one could ever need and then some. Candace went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us and it was! • Wonderful cottage within easy walking distance to the activity on Sellwood's main streets but tucked away next to a big gorgeous park. The cottage has everything you'll need for a lovely stay. Two things which I was completely fine with but should be considered: (1) the kitchen while tasteful is small, so don't expect to throw big dinner parties which require a lot of prep work, and (2) the sleeping loft while well laid out and a good use of space, does require a bit of thinking if you need to use the bathroom at night. These things said, I would not let them dissuade you from staying here -- in fact, I found them to be smart efficient design features. All said, this is one of the nicest small cottages you'll find in PDX on this site, and the owners are completely available and amenable.

Nestled below the SE Woodstock neighborhood my farm style house sits on a gravel road in a unique little neighborhood that feels like you are in the country. Surrounded by woods my property is in a sunny spot with lots of backyard birds and a lush garden. There is a nature trail, local community garden and free roaming peacocks on this quiet road! I live here with my son, dog and cat.
This is a spacious and bright room filled with lots of windows and your own door to the backyard deck and patio. The secluded back deck is a perfect place to have coffee or sit and read in the afternoon. The room is decorated with a Moroccan feel and has a queen four poster bed with fresh linens and lots of pillows. A mini fridge, coffee pot with coffee and teas, light breakfast items, a sitting chair, TV and nightstand with salt lamp and chocolates are all things you will enjoy in this room. There is a newly remodeled shared bathroom with a tub/shower and earth- friendly essentials provided. We are active people who love our city and are happy to share our favorite hikes, bites and fun spots with you.
This is a fairly quiet and very diverse neighborhood that serves as a good base for getting around town if you have a car ( bus stops very nearby as well). My hood is a mix of old farm houses on large lots, and a few newer homes, modern ADU's , chicken coops and even a yurt! It is a fun place to take a morning walk around the block to the wide open clearing with a fabulous community garden. Deer and tons of wildlife live in the lower wetlands preserve with a nice 10 minute nature trail right out the front door. Keep an eye out for the large family of free roaming peacocks that live here as well. About a mile up the hill is SE Woodstock Street with everything you could want, bars, brew pub, restaurants, natural grocery store, library and a fantastic Sunday farmers market ( a must!)...the works. Easy access to I-205, 20 mins to downtown, 25 mins to the airport and a lovely 60 minute drive to Mt Hood or The Gorge.

  • Angela's home is clean and peaceful. The bed is very comfortable. I needed an affordable accommodation to stay overnight in SE Portland. I would definitely stay there again.

    Lisa2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Angela was an incredible host for our stay in Portland. My girlfriend, and I, had never done an Airbnb with a shared living space. We were a little hesitant to book, but we were glad we did. Angela made us feel welcome immediately. Her home was beautiful, and immaculately clean. The room we stayed in was large enough for two people, with a great big armoir to hang our clothes. Our bed was large and super comfortable with a memory foam mattress. The room has a door to the back porch, and her gorgeous back yard. A great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee! Speaking of, Angela provided coffee, fruit, yogurt and some snacks which were perfect for breakfast! We didn't spend too much time in our room, as we were out exploring the city, and some of the suggestions that Angela gave us. When we were there, we didn't see our host much, but we did hang out with her awesome cat. Our only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time chatting with Angela. She was friendly and had some interesting stories when we did speak with her. Although she seemed very busy, and wasn't there often, she was super responsive to our texts/questions. I highly recommend Angela's home. It was one of my favorite stays with Airbnb. Thanks Angela!

  • Angela's place was just as described, charming and quiet. We loved the little touches that made us feel welcome. Everything was clean and well cared for. It was only a quick walk to public transportation and about a mile from a great natural foods grocery store. We fell in love with her cat Stu and were quite sad to say goodbye. I would highly recommend Angela's place to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to rest during your travels.

  • I was lucky to find Angela’s airbnb nearby when I needed a room for Thanksgiving. I decided to stay there myself, since it was a brand new venue. It worked out great. Angela is an excellent host. She took time to get me oriented and explained options for privacy. She made me feel comfortable about returning late and using shared spaces. Everything was immaculate. I really liked the way she has it decorated. I would definitely return and/or send guests when I need extra space.

  • Jonathan made me feel very welcome. He is a great hostess, always there to help if needed. Nice little apartment like place. Comfy bed, nice kitchenette with most everything one would need. Quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is transitioning from one place to another, unpack and stay for a minute or two. Or a month. Thank you Jonathan.

  • Before we arrived, Jonathan kept contacting us for the traffic direction and arriving time. When we arrived, he helped us carry three big suitcases into our room and showed us where the nearest supermarket was. He is very nice and thoughtful. His room is cozy and warm. Highly recommend his place.

  • Tremendous value and excellent communication. Jonathan is an excellent host who has thought of everything.

    Nathaniel2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Jonathan's Airbnb during a two week transition period on a move from North Carolina to the Milwaukie, Oregon area. Jonathan was extremely helpful in letting me in on good local areas for exercising my dog as well as filling me in on some scenic areas around Portland. The apartment was exactly as expected and was a perfect place to stay while I was searching for housing and interviewing for potential jobs along with my roommate. I loved the fact that it was so close to 224 and the neighborhood he lives in is quite nice. If you are looking to move or just having an extended stay in the Portland area and are looking to save some money, look no further! Jonathan is an excellent host.

  • We had a good stay for over a month. The space is as described, comfortable and cozy. A good sized bedroom, living room, and bathroom all to ourselves, plus a small kitchen area, make this a great value. Jonathan is a good host who will go out of his way for you. The location has good access to many areas of Portland. A good safe place to stay.

The apartment was very neat and the neighborhood quiet and pleasant. If you enjoy walking, the Max rail is only 20 minutes away and local stores only 10! Come stay at our cute and cozy urban farm. Walking distance to the Willamette River for gorgeous sunsets, Sunday farmers market and the Max to drop you right downtown. You’ll love our home because it has a super comfy bed. My place is fantastic for solo adventurers/business travelers/possibly couples. Message if you are traveling with a beloved pet and I will consider on a case-by-case basis. This is a whole apartment that has a common entrance.
Our home is in a quiet neighborhood that is very walkable and very close to both the bus and light rail. The space is much like a 1 bedroom apartment, It is one level of the home with one bedroom, a separate area that has a big screen tv and a comfy couch, a separate dining area and is also light and bright when the sun is shining. I am adding this because several guests have given feedback that the area is larger than the pictures show and I ought to write more information : )
  • Had a lovely relaxing stay at Liv's while visiting my grandmother in a care facility nearby. I had great coffee in downtown Milwaukie on Main Street and enjoyed exploring SE some, too.

  • Great place to stay!! Quick 5-10 minute drive to downtown Portland! Cab easily walk over to ice cream, bakery, dinner, coffee, brew houses, etc. Cute design style to this studio over their garage! It felt like a home away from home! We would go back in a great beat:)

  • Awesome rental, very well appointed, beautiful surrounds in the city, well managed, and a smooth experience. Also Sellwood is my new favorite neighborhood in Portland!

    Geoffrey2015-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We greatly enjoyed a long weekend in Kenan and Peter's loft apartment. The furnishings are basic, not luxurious, but the apartment is airy, the bed is comfortable and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The Sellwood neighborhood is a joy to explore on foot. Within two blocks of the apartment are a bakery, two coffee shops, a half dozen restaurants and a seasonal gelato stand. A regional bike trail is a few blocks away. We look forward to a return visit.

  • The Sellwood studio was exactly as pictured. I absolutely loved it! It was the perfect size, the high ceilings made it feel even more open, and the decor was lovely. Everything was done really well and it was a very comfortable place to call home during my Portland trip. I was able to meet Kenan and she was really sweet and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone and would happily stay again! Be sure to check out Jade & the tea shop too!

  • We had a great time at Kenan and Peter's! Their place was tastefully decorated, very clean, and has a great location near shops and food!

This is a cozy (read: small) basement room with a comfortable twin bed/ memory foam mattress, and good light, including lamps and daylight windows. It's in a lovely, walkable neighborhood, with lots of coffee shops, restaurants, shops, pubs, and parks. There's easy access to other parts of town by transit, bicycle, or vehicle. There's a kitchenette near the room, and the first floor kitchen is available. Washer and dryer are near the room.
This space works as a cozy retreat space for the solo traveler. There's a space heater, comfortable bed, desk for writing or laptop use, and some shelves for organization.
Sellwood is a great little neighborhood. I walk around here a lot with Plucky, so we know it well. The houses are well-kept, there are lots of parks, and plenty of places to walk for food, coffee, activities (yoga, dance, martial arts, antique shopping, even making your own knife).

This 1950s split-level ranch home welcomes you to its private downstairs apartment, with quick access by car or light rail to the best of Portland. Private entry, swingin' basement bar and living room, daylight bedroom, and private bathroom. You'll save 5.5% in lodging taxes here since it's just outside Portland city limits. Still, I have to collect county tax of 6% via Airbnb right after you book (since it's a new tax and Airbnb isn't collecting it automatically yet).
Welcome to the Turquoise Tunnel! Step into this mid-century modern "rumpus room" with its original turquoise and gold bar. Bring your mini-bottles! The space is a partial daylight basement that sleeps up to four people (two in bedroom, two more on living room sleeper sofa). Your private entrance and bedroom have large daylight windows, while the bar and cozy living room are windowless and fully underground for safe cocktail consumption and protection from nuclear fallout (the year is 1955, after all). Explore all the best of nearby urban Portland, then retreat to your suburban refuge for cocktails and streaming Netflix (wait, that didn't exist in the Fifties!...)
Milwaukie, Oregon, is a woodsy suburb bordering southeast Portland and is near the Willamette River. It's an up-and-coming area, since the new MAX light rail now connects us to Portland more conveniently. You can easily get to the quaint Portland neighborhood of Sellwood and farther north to the food, fun, and culture of inner SE Portland and downtown Portland. We're also close to the beautiful Willamette River for hiking, kayaking, or summer swimming (yes, it's safe and clean).
  • Best AirBNB Ever.

  • I made a reservation at the last minute when another requested reservation via Airbnb did not go through. Peter was incredibly helpful given the time differences we were both working in and we were able to access the property without a problem. The Turquiose Tunnel is a lovely space and you can tell lots of love has been put into it. We had a group of 3 and it accomodated us fine. There is a GREAT Ikea couch in the living room that pulls out into a bed which was very comfortable (we may buy one now after this). We watched a lot of Netflix following our conference obligations and really enjoyed the lounging feel of the space. There is no full kitchen in this space but a hot plate was provided which we used to make tea and the refrigerator had some snacks with we really appreciated. Bathroom was clean and we had plenty of fresh towels. The surrounding area had more to offer than I initially thought - there are some great restaurants nearby and we even caught the local farmers market. Overall a wonderful stay!

  • The Turquoise Tunnel was an awesome hideaway to relax during our Portland trip. We came as a group of 4 and found the place very spacious yet homey too. Peter had everything ready for us, ranging from the basic necessities to even Netflix on TV! He also planned a great trip itinerary for us and gave us tons of tips on how/when to visit the ton of places around Portland and the coast. Thanks, Peter, for such a wonderful experience.

    Tim2014-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place was excellent and exactly what I was looking for. More than enough space for two people (I slept in the bedroom while a friend slept on the couch/bed). The whole place is a very aesthetic and Peter was more than accommodating with making sure we had everything we needed.

    Alvin2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • A very cool retro style place. Very spacious! The Host Peter was extremely friendly. We actually hung out the first night with another Airbnb goer. Wine ,pasta was needed when on the road for so long. Peter gave lots of insight on things to do and places to go. Pleased to stay and would return when back in the area.

  • We loved staying at Marlene's! Her home was beautiful, in a pleasant neighborhood, and close to everything we needed and more. The space was beautiful and well stocked, everything clean and easy to access. We enjoyed meeting Marlene and some of her family (daughter and pup) lovely people! They were very helpful and hospitable. Lovely time, we will definitely be back!

    Kate2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Marlene's place was a wonderful place in a quiet neighborhood. Very quiet at night with a comortable bed - I slept great. The light rail station is a bit of a walk to get to if you would go downtown or you could make use of the park and ride near by. I think this would be a good base for exploroing the wineries in the North Willamete valley. All of the basics where there in the kitchen plus some. It's so nice to come back to a warm comfortable place to relax after a long day exploring. Marlenes cute little dog was very friendly and fun to be around. I highly recommend this place and look forward to a summer visit, perhaps when the pool is up and running :-)

  • Marlene's apartment with separate entrance is literally the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was clean, beautiful, well-appointed, and close to the MAX train station. All was as portrayed and more so. There is a full kitchen, full private bathroom, nice living room with TV and WiFi. You can park in one of the two garages. French door looks out on the pool. Marlene is really nice and a terrific host! She gave us useful tips on how to get around Portland using public transportation, which we love to do. Note: be careful pulling into the driveway as it is high in the middle. We hope to come back here on our next trip to Portland.

  • Marlene's place is perfect. Very quiet and calming and she has thought of everything! The garage connects to the studio so if u have to unload a lot it is very conveniant. She responds promptly if u have a question and is a very interesting person to chat with. Her dog is very well behaved , the bed is super comfy,I wanted for nothing. I intend to return again!!

Inviting English cottage one mile south of Reed College in quiet, well established Eastmoreland. Lots of pleasant walks on tree-lined streets and on the Crystal Springs biking/walking trail, which will take you into quaint Sellwood. Light, airy bedroom with comfy double bed overlooks spacious garden and deck. Adjacent bathroom for your exclusive use has small claw foot tub with shower. The deck offers a quiet place to sit with a cup of tea or a cool drink and enjoy the garden and birdsong. It's a two-minute drive to Reed, a five-minute drive to historic Sellwood, with boutiques, antiques, restaurants, pubs, music, and, of course, the Columbia Sportswear outlet store, and a forty-five minute drive to have lunch at the beautiful old Multnomah Falls Lodge, while watching the Falls plummet from their 620 foot height. It's six blocks to #75 bus line, with connections to all other lines. In addition, the Orange Line station is located in the neighborhood, so West Side easily accessible: downtown, South Waterfront, PSU, OHSU, Park Blocks, the Pearl, restaurants, theaters, museums, etc. The #75 bus also connects directly to the Airport light rail line.
Eastmoreland is one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Portland and a great place for walking. It begins at Woodstock (the Reed College campus) and extends just over a mile south, through a lovely residential neighborhood, past old Portland homes with lush, established gardens and enormous old trees, which frequently touch in an arch overhead (cool and shady in summer; spectacular in autumn). We are bordered on the west by the beautiful county-club like setting of the old Eastmoreland Golf Course, a public course adjacent the breathtakingly beautiful grounds and pathways of the Chrystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. The golf course offers a cozy clubhouse with food, fireplace, and full bar -- open nearly every single day of the year. (This is a surprising little hideaway tucked, right into the neighborhood!) To the south -- two short blocks from my home -- is the Crystal Springs walking/biking trail through the wooded area along Johnson Creek. This trail describes a large loop around much of the city and, heading west, will take you into Sellwood and beyond to the east bank of the Willamette. Just east of my home is Cesar Chavez Boulevard which, though a quiet, residential street by the time it comes into Eastmoreland, is a major north/south corridor, giving easy access to points north and all the east/west arteries. While you are here, you surely will want to take one of those "arteries" west, across the River into our vibrant city. I will be happy to help you with bus or driving/parking directions. While on the west side of the river, don't miss the Japanese Gardens, the many miles of hiking trails in Forest Park, the Portland Museum of Art and all the other cultural offerings in the Park Blocks, including a huge Farmers Market on Saturdays, The Saturday Market (a fantastic place to shop for locally crafted gifts), the architecturally gorgeous old Portland Public Library, the funky and hip Pearl District, or the $4.00 round trip tram ride to OHSU for a great overview of the entire city (on a clear day . . .). And, although we do have a Powell's Books nearby, in Southeast, you'll want to visit the huge, block-long, multi-story Powell's books downtown. After all that, you may want to spend some time in one of the many brew pubs dotting the entire downtown area (all areas of this city, actually).
  • I stayed with Maggie for a week while in Portland for a writing conference. My experience could not have been better. The house was beautiful and clean, with a comfy bed and a lovely garden. Maggie loaned me her bike, which I rode all over town. I loved relaxing in the clawfoot tub before enjoying a scrumptious morning cup of Maggie's coffee. She was a perfect hostess--a delightful conversationalist who also had a natural instinct for when I needed privacy to work. I can recommend her without hesitation and I look forward to visiting again in the future. I'd give a hundred stars if I could.

    Alia2013-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I totally enjoy my stay at Maggie's Cozy Tudor. Her house is located in a very quite neighborhood with easy access to parks and restaurants; her guest room is so clean and well decorated. The public area is full of artworks/paintings, making the wandering a pleasant visual journey. However, what makes me appreciate the most is Maggie as a hostess. While she had warm, casual chatting with me, she wouldn't forget to leave privacy to me. The breakfast she prepared is so fresh and delicious. I even doubt if it is included inside her pricing? Overall, Maggie is a 5-star "SUPER HOSTESS" and I highly recommend staying at her place for your next Portland trip.

    polly2014-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Maggie was the highlight of our trip. She was absolutely the most polite, welcoming, and respectful host we've ever stayed with. Between a free stay at a $500/night luxury hotel and Maggie's, I would choose her place every time.

    Rory2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie's place was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We were surprised to be offered delicious coffee and a light breakfast. We really enjoyed her beautiful yard and great conversation!

    Catherine2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Maggie's place had all of the elements that are most important to me. Communication was prompt and clear, the room was private with space for all of my clothes. There was a very comfortable bed, and there were windows that let in fresh air with a view onto a beautiful garden. The bathroom was spacious, clean, had hotel-quality fluffy towels with a shower with fantastic water pressure. Maggie was the perfect hostess. She was efficient at showing me what I needed to know to make my stay comfortable and took care that I was satisfied in every way, from giving me privacy to baking fresh muffins, and providing good, strong coffee in the morning. I expect to return on my next visit to Portland.

    Jeffrey2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay with Maggie. Dropping my son off at Reed was made so much easier by Maggie's close proximity to the college. Seeing Maggie again was wonderful, and I look forward to staying with her again the next time I am in Portland.

    Gianna2013-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie was such a sweet host, we didn't get to see much of her because she was busy for the weekend but she welcomed us and gave us a nice tour. She left some muffins out for us in the morning which was so sweet. The house was very clean and quaint.

    Maya2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint, nicely decorated home with front and back yard gardents in southeast Portland. It's quiet and comfortable. We got the run of the house while we were there. Maggie said she would have made us breakfast, but we enjoyed making our own in her very functional kitchen. It's perfect for one or two people.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers! Sellwood is a fantastic neighborhood to walk around in and explore. Within walking distance of the space, are a ton of great restaurants, coffee shops, food trucks, shops, parks, grocery stores and we even have our own historic movie theater! You have a separate entrance into the space which gives you complete privacy on your own floor. There is also a small private backyard to hang out in or eat lunch on the patio.
Sellwood has its own charm and uniqueness! Known as antique row, there are tons of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops, just blocks away. There are also parks in all directions within blocks. Less than 10 blocks from sellwood park, right on the willamette River. Less than 10 minutes by car to downtown Portland. I walk down to the dock with my lunch whenever I can, to picnic in the sun with a lovely view of the river, the hills, and downtown.
  • Jessica's place was cute and cozy. I was concerned about the lack of AC at first, but the dehumidifier kept things comfy. We walked to Rose City Coffee Co. daily- highly recomend! The only thing I would have wanted was a higher closet bar to hang dresses & a stand to put our suitcases on (since there is no dresser). But those things are super minor. Overall great experience!

    Laura2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's place was exactly what I needed. I was in Portland for a wedding and her place was only about 4 miles from the venue. It was very clean, comfortable and gad everything I needed!

Cozy, quiet, very clean, and complete with everything you need. From a comfy bed, nice bathroom, coffee, tea, even cable tv. Located in a cool, popular neighborhood, plenty of good restaurants to eat, coffee shops, and antiques stores to visit, make Jessica's place is a perfect place for me to stay Portland. I definitely recommend her AirBnB for everyone who's looking for a good place to stay with a wonderful host in a great neighborhood in Portland. Thanks again Jessica!

  • Jessica was an amazing and wonderful host, or should I say hostess! She was an excellent communicator and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The space is nicely decorated, centrally located and the Sellwood neighborhood is super charming.

Modern 1BR Apt in Historic Sellwood. This new, charming upper level apartment, with a private entrance is located in Portland’s Historic Sellwood neighborhood. Unique shops, food carts, restaurants, coffee bars, parks and more await you.
Large windows and skylights giving lots of natural light Quiet, peaceful and comfortable.
We are on a quiet tree lined street just a block from 13th ave, a great neighborhood street full of wonderful local restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, a bike store, bakery, bottle shop, etc.. Just a block the other way is Sellwood Park, with its outdoor pool, tennis courts and beautiful old Fir trees and picnic areas overlooking the Willamette River. Walk 5 minutes and you are on the banks of the river or Oaks Bottom natural area.
  • Our experience at this apartment in Sellwood could not have been better. Check-in was easy, the apartment is in a superb location a few blocks from grocery stores, shops and restaurants, and the apartment is quiet, pristine, comfortable and attractive. We hope to visit again on our future trips to Portland.

  • Fabulous place! Very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Sweet residential neighborhood with a fabulous commercial area within easy walking distance. Highly recommend.

    Emily2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was a perfect fit for us in every way, aesthetically and physically: clean, bright, and quiet; spacious, with good ventilation, well-equipped (linens, kitchen, bathroom), free of heavy fragrances, easy street parking. We were in Portland to attend an event in the nearby Oaks Park Dance Pavilion (an experience in itself), and were delighted to find ourselves in a part of Portland we knew little about. Definitely worth a return visit.

    Claudia2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome space! Super clean and comfortable stay. Walking distance from many shops. I'd love to stay here again

    Veronica2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful clean apartment outside of downtown but easy to get into downtowm Portland using public transit. Special touches such as chilled wine waiting in the fridge were excellent. Grest value for Portland area!

    Erin2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, this place was perfect for our needs. It is clean, modern, efficient and well-designed. Lots of natural light, hardwood floors, a comfy bed, spotless walk-in shower and fluffy towels. Everything was squeaky clean! Jacquie provided a code, so we could let ourselves in through a separate entrance. We had complete privacy throughout our stay. The hosts generously provided welcome snacks and drinks, which were a nice surprise. The Sellwood neighborhood is quiet and charming, with excellent restaurants only two blocks away. We loved our lunch at Jade.

    Jocelyn2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Richard and Jacquie's Apartment could not have been better. Beautiful location within close walking distance of everything Sellwood has to offer and an incredibly comfortable private environment. Fully functional kitchen, cable TV and powerful WiFi, beautiful full bath with a european style walk-in shower and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and two wonderful and friendly hosts. My wife and I stayed here for two weeks and we could not have been happier. We would highly recommend Richard and Jacquie's Apartment to anyone wanting to explore the beauty and excitement of Portland's East Side.

    Mike2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was new, clean, quiet and convenient, which is why we stayed two months. The location allows walking to many restaurants, grocery shopping, and the Spring Water Trail. The apartment is fully equipped for cooking, washing and entertainment. We enjoyed staying during our condo remodel.

    Charming Sellwod Apartment

Great house in a great location. Sellwood is a desirable neighborhood in Portland and we have an ideal spot in the heart of the action. We have a bedroom on the main floor for you with a private bathroom. A door separates the bathroom and bedroom from the rest of the living space. The space is very private! We are an easy going couple with two dogs, otherwise a pretty quiet house. We are happy to share our knowledge of Portland with you!
Beautiful 1920s home, tastefully remodeled in the period it was built. The house is quiet despite being in a busier part of the neighborhood. Your room is private, however you are welcome to share space with us, cook meals, watch TV, lounge in the backyard in the hammock.
Historic Sellwood is lovely! We think it is one of the better neighborhoods in Portland, you could spend an entire weekend just in the neighborhood and have a great time. We have great food, bars, coffee, and shopping. We are one block away from one of the most popular sushi places in Portland and steps away from great parks with running trails, biking and wildlife.
  • Josie and her husband were great hosts. We booked last minute and they were great with communicating and responding quickly. The room was very cute, it was nice that the room/bathroom were private and had a/c. They were very accommodating and we chatted with them a bit before we headed out to grab a drink a few doors down. The house is in a cool neighborhood, and Josie and Stewart had some great recommendations for food/drinks and where to walk around. The neighborhood felt very safe and walkable at night. We had access to the kitchen, tv, backyard (the hammock is really nice at the end of the night) and it almost felt as if we rented the whole place! Their two dogs are super cute and lovey as well, we will definitely stay again.

  • Lovely place!

    Jennifer2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great experience staying at Josie and Stuart’s home. He was really friendly and polite and although I never got to meet Josie, her communication was quick and informative. Their two dogs were really sweet and well behaved. Everything was spotlessly clean. The home is a beautiful arts and crafts movement era house that is located in a charming neighborhood in Portland with abundant shops and restaurants nearby.

    Christy2017-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find - lovely home - in a perfect location in Sellwood. The house, the private room and bath are spotless clean! The two "old lady" dogs were an added treat!

  • Very clean and warm. Josie is an excellent host. Highly recommend the house. Close to everything.

    Deb2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING experience here. The neighborhood was perfect, not touristy at all. I met Josie's husband who was sweet as could be and the bedroom was incredibly clean. Also, the bed we slept in was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy private room with queen bed, closet space, and dresser. The space is very peaceful as it’s a corner lot in a quiet neighborhood. Tons of stores and food/bars near by. Bus stop steps away with max line less than two miles away.
The space is set up for passcode entry so keys are not necessary!
The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood with mature landscaping.
  • Kayla was so sweet and gracious. The bed was crazy comfortable, and her dog Nitro is adorable. Would definitely stay again!!

    Devin2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Kayla is nice and responsive. Nitro, her pup is too cute! Her home is beautiful, warm and welcoming. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the room stays dark if you keep the blinds sealed shut. Everything was great except for the fact that everything is miles away. For instance, the local grocery store is 10 mins by car, 35 by bus. Heading downtown takes approx. hour & a half via public transpo., 25-30mins by car. If you are a young adult trying to explore Portland without a car I advise you to do some research before booking here. On the other hand, if you do have a car or if you are looking for a peaceful get-away this is the right place for you! Thank you Kayla for opening up your space for me and others.

    Jena2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kayla was very hospitable. The room was clean and cozy. We were very happy and pleased with everything.

    Jose Luis2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and quiet place. Everything was good except we can hear vehicles pass by. I'm ok with it but my wife couldn't sleep well. If it's not an issue for you, it's a perfect place to stay.

Our private 1 BR/1BA in Eastmoreland is just 1 block from Reed College, & Eastmoreland golf course. On a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood, our SE location offers quick access to downtown, and walking distance to shops of Sellwood/Woodstock. We just completed a full remodel of the bathroom - it now has dual vanities, heated floors, and a beautiful tiled shower. We had to stay off airbnb for about 5 weeks to complete the remodel but we're back! The new pictures explains the price!
Private Entrance, Queen bed and full size couch, recently remodeled bathroom solely for your use. Cable TV/Wifi/DVDs available for your entertainment. Big closet, fireplace, Fridge/Microwave located in the space. Full private bathroom remodeled in September 2016. It has dual vanities, a heated tile floor and a beautiful tile shower. You will love it! Private entrance and private bathroom for guests, no shared living space with the hosts. For longer stays, access to laundry can be negotiated, we want to be sure you're as comfortable as possible, we will do our best to accommodate your requests! We want to respect our guests' space and privacy, but are not opposed to visiting with guests that would like additional information anything to do in the Portland area - whatever our guests need to have a great say we will be sure they do! We can recommend our favorite restaurants and bars (so many in Portland!) both locally and across the city! Very quite/safe neighborhood of Eastmoreland. We love the tree-lined streets, old homes, friendly neighbors, and overall safe and secure reputation of Eastmoreland. Just a block from the beautiful campus Reed College, tons of walking/running options available, and just a couple hundred yards from the 13th hole of historic Eastmoreland Golf Club. Bus lines are a 2 minute walk away, free parking on the street at our house, never any issue with parking room. about 15-20 minute drive from Portland Airport, and a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland. We'll happily give recommendations of great neighborhood or Portland area bars and restaurants, and provide any requested directions/insight to the numerous activities available in the Portland/NW Oregon area. Private entrance and private bathroom for guests, no shared living space with the hosts. Upon booking, we will provide you with the key lock box code in the event we aren't able to greet you upon your arrival. There is a heater vent you can open and close on the wall by the doorway to the hallway/bathroom if the room is warmer or cooler than your liking.

  • The house was awesome and perfectly located. Beers in the fridge, comfy bed, great bathroom and a badass longhorn skull on the wall: can't get any better!

  • My 2nd stay at Daniel and Katie's place, and it was even better than the 1st. Spacious, quiet, clean, and private. And a 5-minute walk from the Reed campus, my reason for being in Portland (college kids). I'll definitely be back!

    Kelly2015-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful neighborhood for exploring Portland. Easy to get around and lots of trails to walk or local shops to explore. The apt was clean and spacious. You did not feel like you were interfering with anyone in the house due to separate entrance. Hosts were easy going and accommodating.

  • Daniel and Katie are very nice hosts. They provided very detailed information for us to check in and were willing to help with any questions. It's a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Also, the apartment was comfortable and private. We had a good time in Portland!

    Feng2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Although I was the mediator between guest and hosts, Daniel and Katie were excellent people to talk to and coordinate with from the get go. They are very kind and warming people and it is evident in the way they talk to their guests whether it's through the internet or in person. Daniel and Katie made sure everything was settled before and after the arrival of their guest. I would not hesitate to go back to them for future bookings!

  • Lovely quiet apartment. Everything was very clean and tidy, and we very much appreciated the welcome chocolate bar on the pillow! Internet was fast and the shower was great. Daniel and Katie were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The property is in a really nice neighbourhood and we had a great stay! Would definitely recommend.

  • We had a great time at Dan and Katie's home over the Christmas Holiday. The rooms were just as described. The coffee and refrigerator made it very comfortable as we could have coffee each morning. The neighborhood is wonderful. The homes are historic and beautiful and the area is very, very quiet so we were never bothered by noise. It was great to have our own entrance so we never felt as if we were bothering Dan and Katie. They were very warm and inviting and made sure that we had their cell numbers and encouraged us to contact them should we have any questions. We would not hesitate to recommend their rental and we would enjoy staying there on our next visit to Portland.

    Valerie2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great home, in a beautiful neighborhood, with great hosts. Daniel came down to greet us and was very helpful with information on the neighborhood and Portland in general. Great local beer in the fridge was a very nice touch. We would love to stay again in the future.
