“The best fajitas in Houston. Get a real taste of Tex-Mex while you are in town. Nothing beats ending the day with a margarita paired with some cheesy goodness. ”

Caffetteria
“Located at Oxford and White Oak Dr. This place could also be listed under restaurants because the food is so good, but is primarily a bar. It has a low key vibe if the idea of a loud, busy bar isn’t what you are looking for.”

Caffetteria
“Named one of the ‘100 Best Places to Drink in the South,' by Imbibe magazine, Catalina Coffee is serious about its brew. The independently-owned, Washington-Avenue-set shop offers up art-worthy lattes and cappuccinos. Display cases offer an assortment of pastries and light-bites, too. Need to get some work done? CC's has free wi-fi, but outlets are hard to come by, so make sure that computer is juiced-up before stopping in.”

“Heights hipsters flock to the shopping-center-set Antidote Coffee House for its caffeine-laden offerings and laid-back, at-home vibe. The loft-like interior-with its rubbed concrete floors, exposed brick walls and open vent-work-is filled with an array of eclectic furniture and artwork produced by local artisans. There's free wi-fi and plenty of plug-ins, but you know what they say about all work and no play-head there for happy hour Monday through Friday (4 to 7 p.m.) and enjoy $1 double espresso.”

“Texas flair and Cajun fare collide at this beloved Houston chain. Open 24/7, it’s always an excellent option for po’ boys, a steaming bowl of gumbo, or enough fried seafood to satisfy any Gulf cravings.”

Negozio di ciambelle
“Shipley is a must when visiting Houston. A local tradition, this is one of the many locations in the city, offering fresh from the oven old-school slow rise doughnuts, pastries and the traditional kolaches (sweet bread stuffed with meat, usually sausage, and sometimes other ingredients). Many tout Shipley's as the best doughnut recipe in the area, though most notice subtle differences in texture and style from location to location. This one just extended hours to 5PM, but if you're hankering for a doughnut after hours, Uber over to the North Main Street location, for 24-hour drive through service!”
