“BGC, HIGHSTREET, SERENDRA. My personal favorite city destination in all of Metro Manila. Clean, modern and vibrant feel to it. Like any place in the city, best to go during Monday-Thursdays and avoid traveling during rush hours (7am-12noon and 4pm-7pm). I used to walk here everyday going to work and back for 3years. I will try mention my fave restaurants and locations below. TIP: If you fancy a light 10-20mins walk, start from Din Tai Fung then work your way to Serendra. A lot of nice shops and restaurants along the way. ”

“VENICE GRAND CANAL, TAGUIG. Took my mom, sis and bro in law here. We were lucky to visit during a weekday as this Mini Venice in the Philippines has become a very popular tourist spot in Taguig with crowds of people taking photos. Great place to have lunch, dinner or watch a movie. Plenty of great restaurants to choose from. We didn’t try the gondola ride though. Share your photos if you do! TIP: Starting from main entrance, walk along the ground level , take photos along the river (good spot in front of the Juliet statue) the bridge, then go up 2nd floor and walk your way back around to get a good view from above.”

Cemetery
“Holding the American service men died in action in world war 2, this cemetery is situated at the former Fort William Mckinley airbase in Taguig. Of those buried here, 23 are Medal of Honor recipients who fought all over the Philippines. Americans with military ties will easily find significance in visiting this site. The cemetery is open everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.”

“ The canal in the middle of the mall offers pleasant views. Some decent dining choices of restaurants and food court here. Also within the surrounding areas. Although, if you've been to Macau, Vegas, or even the real Venice, Italy, place might not impress you.”

“The American Cemetery is a most do for American visitors to Manila. It is a Washington DC quality memorial to the brave Filipino and American soldiers who fought in WWII. The Philippines campaign is a much overlooked part of WWII history, and this memorial (and a trip to Corregidor if you can manage) will firmly implant a sense of the importance and scale of the war in the Philippines. Don't miss the wall mosaics that display the whole history of the Pacific War with the detail of the old Life magazine maps that I grew up with. The cemetery is also probably the most pleasant green space in all of Manila. No pets, no picnics, no bikes, no running or exercise due to the solemn nature of the ”

“The Venice Grand Canal is the center of attraction among the tourists in The Grand Canal Mall. Due to its uniqueness and picturesque views, you will see countless visitors taking selfies and groupies by the canal. For first time visitors like me, it was such a delight to see the beautiful architecture resembling that of Venice. Being a mall, there is no entrance fee to see and enjoy the beautiful Venice Grand Canal.”

“NIU , SM AURA , TAGUIG. I put this here if you’re a fan of buffets, like me, but not all my friends are so let me know if you need someone to accompany you😂. They have a good mix of Japanese and western food. Tempura will always be a fave. Not sure if they have wagyu beef, let me know if you visit :)”
