“Gyōza (dumplings) are the only thing on the menu here, but you won’t hear any complaints from the regulars who queue up to get their fix. Have them sui (boiled) or yaki (pan-fried), with or without niniku (garlic) or nira (chives) – they’re all delicious. Expect to wait on weekends. ”

“This tiny little coffee shop started as a pop up store open for just 3 months. However it was so popular it is still running 3 years later. Located In the middle of a residential neighborhood close to Harajuku, the cafe is built as a cube frame sitting inside an old traditional Japanese home. Try the cube cakes!”

“Oakland's Third Wave coffee pioneer Blue Bottle took Tokyo by storm in spring 2015: following the February opening of its Fukagawa café and roastery, the company set up shop right by Omotesando Station in early March. With Coutume and friends already in the neighbourhood, Aoyama's caffeine addicts sure have it good.”

“This boutique takes Alice in Wonderland, one of my favorites, as its theme. The accessories, trinkets, and sweets here all carry motifs from the story and there is also a photo spot where you can imagine yourself as the Queen of Hearts. If you look carefully along the floorboards you may find a small room where a family of mice live. And there are lots of other details that recall the fairy tale, like a door that leads to a long corridor. Take a close look around the shop so as not to miss any!”

Home Goods Store
“The facade of this candy and accessories shop looks like a castle, making it perfect as a background for Lolita fashion photoshoots. The shop has a wide range of bags, jewelry, and sweets with themes such as Cinderella, Snow White, and the Little Mermaid. There is a secret room on the second floor that isn’t publicized online, so only people who go to the shop get the surprise. The room is designed as an ode to the evil characters in various fairy tales, and there are also accessories and sweets to match the theme.”
