  • Staying in the Cabin was the perfect getaway. It's beautifully made, decorated, and an idyllic location with wonderful surroundings. Photos don't do this place justice either. There's some lovely walks nearby and the Bottle Inn a 5-10 minutes drive is great for food. Thanks again Ray for having us and your advice. Next time I won't be staying for such a short period.

  • We had a wondrous time at Pip's Charming Barn Apartment. Pip was an amazing host. The apartment was just as pictured, beautifully decorated and magical views. The food hamper was such a thoughtful touch too. Pip and her family were very welcoming and the dogs were beautiful and friendly. At the same time we really felt like we had our own space for a romantic stay. The hot tub was top notch. Thanks for all the tips for non drivers too! Looking forward to visiting again. Mike & Char

  • Beautiful place to spend a lazy weekend. Pip is a fantastic host - you will want for nothing. Highly recommended.

    Robert2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very welcoming on arrival, and the home was so beautiful and clean. However, I thought that there were a lot of restrictions such as, not being able to use the hot tub after 9pm, and also playing your own music, which wasn't allowed. I would recommend again because of how beautiful it was however, their house was incredibly close to the property, and i didn't feel entirely relaxed during my stay. It was a bit like staying with my parents!

Edells is a Victorian arts & crafts style country house with William Morris wallpapers and mature garden with ha-ha. 5 minute walk to station with a 45 minute direct service to London. Recently opened up having been a private family home since the 1840s.
A short walk (6/7 minutes) from Edells is the centre of Markbeech village. In the village is the country pub The Kentish Horse. Longer walks allow guests to reach many other places including Hever Castle (40 minutes) with the Henry VIII Inn beside it, Chiddingstone Castle (60 minutes) with The Rock Inn on the way and the Castle Inn and Tulip Tree Tea Rooms beside it, The Kingdom Penshurst - an exciting event space with cafe, yoga and cycling (70 minutes), Penshurst Place (80 minutes) with the Leicester Arms beside it. Many walks can combine various pubs together including: Kentish Horse, Rock Inn, Castle Inn, Henry VIII Inn, Greyhound Inn, Queens Arms, Fountain Inn, Bottle House Inn, Spotted Dog, Leicester Arms... With large groups we strongly recommend getting in touch with these pubs directly especially if you're hoping for food - breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea and/or dinner. Though it's not all about pubs and castles. Other activities within walking distance include tennis, cricket, horse riding,... Outside of walking distance opens you up to lots of other activities such as climbing, fishing, go-karting, golf, swimming, tenpin bowling, steam railways, sailing, cinemas, theatres, etc. See the Edells guidebook and map for further recommendations. There are many interesting houses and gardens to visit with 21 National Trust properties a short drive away including Chartwell as well as Hever Castle, Penshurst Place. Hole Cottage, the surviving cross-wing of a late medieval hall house now managed by the Landmark Trust, is only 5 minutes walk. The opportunity for walking and riding in 'Pooh Bear country' on Ashdown Forest is conveniently close by. Cycling is a big thing in this part of the country and has grown increasingly popular in recent years due to the popularity of the triathlons at Hever Castle. We also have a detailed PDF guide for the house that we can share with you once you have booked for further context on the house and area. The nearest town is Edenbridge which has a Waitrose supermarket along with restaurants to eat in and takeaway from: - English - Tom Bell Fish & Chips - Indian - Quality Tandoori - Chinese - The Magic Wok - Italian - La Botte - Turkish - Istanbul kebab - Italian - Domino's Pizza
  • We totally loved our weekend at this fantastic house. Yes it's in need of renovation but it's just charming, even as it is. You can see it's been a very much loved family home. The kitchen is well equipped and the Aga is electric, we had no problems using it. There is a massive kitchen table so great for large families visiting. Kitchen looks out onto the beautiful side garden. All of the gardens are beautifully maintained and a total delight. The view from the back of the house is stunning and we would sit with our morning coffee out on the bench just enjoying it and watching the wildlife. Our bed room was large with aforementioned views and a truly comfortable bed. There are three bathrooms in the house and an extra loo. One of the bathrooms has a new rainforest shower which was fantastic and there is a plentiful supply of hot water. There are lots of working fireplaces should the weather be not so warm. The house is filled with hundreds of books! The children's rooms at the top of the house also has many children's books, current and old. So many books I had loved from my own childhood an others that my children adore that are recent. There are lots of games too. It's a short walk across the surrounding fields to the local pub which is very handy if you don't want to drive and like a pint. You really do feel like you have stepped back in time walking into this home. As for Hugo he was brilliant. Couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. A great host. We are already planning our next trip to this wonderful property.

    Claire2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic 3 nights in Edells. Hugo was there to meet on arrival and gave a thorough and fascinating tour of the house and garden - it was really exciting to be in a place with so much history. The house was full of quirks and charms, and everything we needed for a great stay in the countryside - nice walks, local pubs and lots of garden games! Highly recommended for any large group of any age!

    James2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at this stunning home. Edells is a truly beautiful place to stay, full of character and charm, the photos don't do justice to how special it is. We loved having candlelit dinners and for small children there are some delightful and well loved toys to discover. And no need to bring a book, there are several libraries along with board games to enjoy. I've already been recommending to friends so hoping that Edells doesn't get so busy I can't come back. Hugo was an excellent host and showed us everything we needed. I feel like everything had been thought of so - sometimes when you stay in an airbnb things can be a bit sparse in the kitchen and you wish you'd brought your own kit - not here, there really is a great range of equipment and even herbs and spices! Thankyou again Hugo.

    Anna2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely long weekend in an incredibly homely venue. The pool table and table tennis were a big hit and kept the kids busy. Many thanks Hugo. Dave and Lucy

  • Hugo was an excellent host and provided us with all the necessary conditions for a great stay. The house is truly amazing and the surroundings are very peaceful and green. It was a great weekend and I highly recommend it.

    Andrei2016-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had another dream Christmas at Endells, last year with my family of 10 and this year for 1 week with my In-laws, four generations x 20 and not a cross word said! There is so much space, things to do, places to go and equipped with everything you might need. It was great to see the changes and sympathetic updates that Hugo has made to the house since Christmas 2015. Hugo - what a host, obviously wants to keep this special place very special. Just a text message away and happy to help in any way he can, an excellent communicator. We'll be back for a Summer weekend for sure.

    Sandie2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I visited Edells with seven friends and two of their children on a lovely sunny July weekend, and we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The house itself is beautiful, and has a wealth of rare original features as you can see in the photos. We loved being able to explore rooms like the library, and found the place very comfortable. The kitchen has all the equipment you could need; the bedrooms are pretty; bathrooms have a luxury feel as well as having a Victorian style. It's a fun place for children, too. Hugo was extremely helpful and welcoming, happy to help during our stay and providing a full tour of the house. We felt able to relax and feel at home, while there was still help at hand if needed. The house provides all of the 'wholesome' delights you could want- a good base for walking, a beautiful garden, even croquet! In a weekend with such good weather, we didn't venture far but did manage to discover the pretty pub garden at the Kentish Horse, which comes with a play area for children. We would have happily stayed for at least a week, exploring the local sights like Hever Castle. Staying at Edells is a rare treat, and my friends and I would recommend it.

    Holly2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot convey enough how much we loved our stay at Edells. Our expectations were understandably sky high, following the glorious photos and description of the house, and we're happy to say that all of those expectations were surpassed. From the moment we booked, Alan and Hugo made kept in contact with us and were superbly helpful in answering all of our questions while we were organising our small family event. As soon as we arrived they made us feel incredibly welcome. The property is enriched with a local history, which our lovely hosts were very knowledgable of, and passionate about. Our hosts happily allowed us privacy for our get together, although we'd have happily had them join us as they are absolutely delightful. Our family absolutely loved every moment of our stay and we would love to return again some day. We couldn't recommend Edells highly enough

  • What an amazing stay! We had two nights at Truggers Barn, I wish it had been more. The barn and the setting are stunning. Anna went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay, there are so many little touches within the barn that highlight the thought and effort Anna has put in to making this a pleasurable stay for her guests (I won't do spoilers as I think it's nice for guests to discover these). The bed was extremely comfy, I slept right through on the first night (I never do this). Following this we had breakfast outside in the sunshine, and what a breakfast it was! I honestly couldn't recommend a stay here enough (Website hidden by Airbnb)

    Jodie 2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Anna for making our stay here so memorable! The barn is absolutely idyllic, so peaceful and relaxing. All the little personal touches - home-made brownies and the fabulous continental breakfast - were just wonderful and made our stay very special indeed. We'd love to come back again for a longer stay!

    Jonathan 2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little barn building that's warm, cosy and extremely nicely put together. Anna's a wonderful host and really cares about the details. The local countryside is amazing and there's great pubs and restaurants nearby too. Love it so much!

    Tom2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely fabulous spot, idyllic scenery, weather was superb and the barn was comfortable, we had a great time. Thanks Anna!!

  • It was a great one night stay. Such peaceful surroundings, and we had a perfect nights sleep! Thanks to Anna for being a great host, and the homemade cookies were lovely!! We are already looking at our diaries to see when we can come back :-). This was the perfect retreat we needed from London life.

    Karl2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a most lovely stay, absolutely gorgeous house in such a beautiful setting and lovely touches to make me feel very welcome

    Kathryn2018-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two nights at Anna's place and the Christmas tree and all the other touches made it really special. It's such an idyllic spot with a beautiful view out over the pond and beyond. Anna and Alex couldn't do enough for us and were quick to respond to any issues we had. There were many highlights like brownies on our arrival and balloon animals for the kids. The breakfast was plentiful and just being able to enjoy it at our leisure and in beautiful surroundings was perfect. We would highly recommend The Rock pub for dinner. Anna booked us a table and the food and service was outstanding. We chose this place because of its proximity to Hever Castle but I would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway within close reach of London.

    Alison2017-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's place is amazing. It is well located an near to local pubs and restaurants and there is a waitrose only a short drive away. The place itself is stunning and beautifully set overlooking a large pond with ducklings (and food to feed them!!). Anna and Alex made us feel really welcome and did a fantastic job of tailoring the breakfast for my gluten intolerance. Every detail was though through and I can't recommend highly enough!!

  • What a delightful place to stay. This was the first time we have stayed in Kent and found the apartment spacious and has everything that opens and shuts. Louise was extremely helpful in advising us on local attractions and amenities, if we did not have to attend to work commitments in London we would have definitely liked to have extended our stay.

    Andrew2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, spacious, fitted out to a high standard, very nice. There's road noise when heavy traffic passes by which may be an issue for you but otherwise all perfect and very comfortable place to stay in. Louise was perfectly welcoming and had even put some things in the fridge for me!

    Adam2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The summary of the whole stay was absolutely delightful. Special thanks to Louise who broke off her Xmas festivities to help us with the workings of the tv ( as we are very (Website hidden by Airbnb) was lovely to meet her. The apartment was beautiful, absolutely spotless and every necessity was present. It was warm and cosy and there was always plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. The whole place was well appointed and decorated. Wasn’t particularly aware of the traffic noise from the neighbouring road but then, we didn’t open the windows. Lots of lovely Kent countryside to explore. We went to Ightham Mote and would love to see the Gardens in the summer. We would love to be able to go back and stay again.

  • Louise was a brilliant host, showing us around the property and answering any questions we had before leaving us to ourselves for the rest of the visit. The cottage is very well furnished and was perfect for a few days getaway. The local area is very beautiful and there was lots to explore, lots of good pubs, walks and local heritage. The cottage is next to a main road so traffic noise was loud on a morning, but after the first morning it didn't bother us again-we would happily recommend the cottage to any others looking for a countryside escape

    Richard2014-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely stunning, the whole experience was fantastic, furnished to an exceptionally high standard. And so spacious, if you want complete country living this is the place for you. Although Louise was working she made sure that we had and knew everything we needed. Can not shout about this place to anyone that will listen, we wanted a few nights away from the the city for pure relaxation and this is what we had.... Definitely recommend to anyone to stay here for a quiet peaceful retreat

    Graham2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment which was tastefully decorated. Louise was lovely, she met us when we arrived and left milk, juice and wine in the fridge for us. We enjoyed the local area especially the 20minute walk through the fields to the local pub (great food), also went for breakfast in a local farm shop which was tasty! Very easy to get into the local towns (Tunbridge Wells and Edenbridge). Overall we had a good time, the only downside was the noise. The apartment is located next to a busy, national speed limit road which made it very noisy, not great if you are a light sleeper.

We offer small double cosy room and separate bathroom for your use in a family home. Sorry we do not allow pets. Gatwick 25min and Hever Castle 10mins. The Cottage is set in an idyllic country setting. We are at the end of a lane, and back onto wooded countryside. The most noise is from the pheasants and owls! We are offering a small cosy double room with bathroom next door. At the moment we are having some building done but should not affect your sleep!
We welcome guests for 1-4 nights normal max stay. ( this is open to negotiation) Guests need to be over 25 years of age ideally. If you want to stay for a longer period we can negotiate a rate ( ie if you are working in the area) If you are looking for the ideal hideaway location this is certainly it! We have lots of deer wandering around and wildlife. there are some great pubs down the road all serving very good locally sourced produce.

  • To London: just over the adjacent cow pasture and you're at Hever station. To sightseeing: it's all around you within a few miles. Middle Barn: most charming, located idyllically in the middle of nowhere and yet in the centre of it all. And the best thing? Is no thing at all - it's Suzie! Great host, charming person, fun to talk to, first-rate advisor in planning the next day's activities. My wife and me had such a great time, nothing less than perfect. Sorry, Suzie, we would have rated you more than five stars, but the system does not allow that.

  • Our stay in Poppy Cottage was delightful: comfy, cozy with a wonderful dog to pet and a beautiful garden to walk in. Judith couldn't have been more welcoming and gracious. The cottage is quiet yet convenient to the places we wanted to visit: Knole, Chartwell and the countryside. The bedroom was lovely, with a wonderful view of the garden. The bath was beautiful and bright. Lovely meeting Judith. I would return tomorrow. Judith is a great and accomplished woman. We very much enjoyed sharing her home and life experiences with her. If we all lived next door to her she would have been a best friend.

    Mike2015-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay and found Judith a lovely friendly host. Her home is cosy and we found her easy to chat with over a lovely breakfast. We would be happy to stay again and recommend her to anyone wanting a b&b in the Edenbridge area.

  • Judith is a fantastic host, very kind and accommodating. She is very friendly and chatty without being at all intrusive. Beds were super comfortable and the private use of the lounge a big plus. Highly recommended.

  • Judith was the perfect host. Very good communication prior to arrival and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. She allowed us to check in at an earlier time as we were attending a wedding and gave us a lift to the venue which saved us having to get a taxi. The cottage is beautiful and the room very cosy, offering tea and coffee making facilities, water and towels. Judith also did a wonderful spread for breakfast including gluten free bread which I had requested. I would highly recommend a stay at Poppy Cottage. Judith and her dog Millie were so friendly and accommodating, I would definitely stay there again.

  • Judith is a really great host who takes care about her guests by heart. I was welcome with nice tea and scones in her house. The room and toilet was very neat and tidy with high quality products. Judith also took care about every detail of my stay eg beers for my dinner / nice breakfast / driving me to town etc. She is a very nice and outgoing person who travelled and worked internationally, I enjoyed our conversations a lot! This has been a really rejuvenating trip I had in the British country side. Thanks Judith!!

  • A lovely annexe in a great location. The place is bigger and more spacious than it looks in photos and feels brand new, equipped with almost everything you need for a quiet weekend escape. There is some lovely walking nearby and great pubs - King Henry VIII was great for dinner, but make sure you have a reservation! If you are going to be exploring, be sure to download your maps or directions or plans before heading to the annexe as 3G is weak/ spotty. A great place to relax! Thanks!

My place is close to Hever Castle, Hever Hotel, . You’ll love my place because of the light, the comfy bed, the kitchen, the cosiness, the privacy. My place is good for couples, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups.
  • Great place to stay - and perfect for a family of 5. Quiet and well maintained.

  • I booked Woodlands Cottage for two nights for 7 of us. We were going to a wedding nearby. Ian showed me round and was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. The cottage is lovely - very quiet and private with a big secluded garden. We had dinner in the garden on the first night which was great. We then took advantage of being able to use the hotel facilities and played pool and darts in the games room. I hadn't realised when booking that the cottage was part of the Hever Hotel but this was a bonus. We were all very happy with our stay and would recommend the cottage without hesitation.

  • Woodland's Cottage was really cosy for a quiet family weekend. We had an event at the nearby Hever Castle so it was ideally located for us. Ian was really accommodating and put a couple of extra beds in to one of the bedrooms for our kids, as well as providing a travel cot and high chair for my nephew.

Detached annexe in the grounds of a Victorian country cottage with 2.5 acres in Four Elms, Kent. We are close to the historic Kent towns of Hever, Chiddingstone and Penshurst and only a short car ride from Gatwick, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.
The detached annexe contains a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom with shower, Internet access, TV and fridge.
Situated locally are the following; Chartwell House, Westerham - the beautiful family home of Churchill. The rooms which Churchill frequented remain much as they were when he did, with personal pictures, books and mementoes offering intriguing behind the scenes insights into his life. Hever Castle and Gardens - Experience 700 years of history at the romantic double-moated 13th century castle once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and Mother of Elizabeth I. Chiddingstone Castle - The history of Chiddingstone Castle can be traced back to the early 1500s. During its life, the castle has undergone a number of architectural changes and has been owned and lived in by an eclectic mix of people and families. Penshurst Place and Gardens - The medieval house is one of the most complete surviving examples of 14th-century domestic architecture in England. The British Wildlife Centre - is a peaceful, relaxing place to see and learn about Britain's wonderful native wildlife: from tiny harvest mice to magnificent red deer. Lingfield Racecourse - regular horse racing events.
  • I stayed here with my mum before the Hever Castle Triathlon this weekend. We had a lovely comfortable stay and Chloe provided some lovely croissants and yoghurt in the morning. Would definitely recommend this spot to others. x

  • I stayed there for five weeks whilst attending a course. It was a real pleasure. I don't have a bad word to say about it. Very clean, and a lovely area as well. Would recommend if you're staying around there, plus Chloe and her family were great.

  • Chloe's Annexe was absolutely perfect for me and my girlfriends anniversary getaway. Located in a beautiful open setting with many areas to walk around and enjoy the quiet area, the home also has a spacious garden to relax in. There is also a few pubs and the British wildlife centre which we had a lovely time at. The annexe itself was cosy and had everything that we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were perfect. Chloe was nice enough to leave us some food and breakfast for the morning in the annexe and prepare everything for when we arrived. Overall i would recommend this home to anyone who was looking for a quiet place to stay and relax. Definitely would book again.

  • Although I only met Chloe and Ed briefly when I checked in they both were very nice and offered help with anything should I had needed it. The room is nice and has a comfortable bed, small desk and a chest of drawers. The shower was large and the water was nice and hot. I think the room could have benefited from an iron and ironing board, and possibly a microwave? Overall a nice place and I would return. Thanks Chloe!

  • We stayed with Chloe for 1 night whilst visiting friends in nearby Hever. We felt very welcome. Chloe and Ed were extremely helpful and hospitable. The room is a good size with plenty of wardrobe space and has separate access from the main house so you can be independent. We had a very comfortable night. We were amazed when Chloe & Ed appeared in the morning, at a pre-agreed time, with armfuls of choice for our continental breakfast - fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, warm croissants & lovely bread rolls. It was scrumptious. A beautiful location and highly recommended. We would definitely book again if we return to the area.

  • We had an absolutely fabulous time at Chloe's and cannot recommend staying here highly enough. From my initial contact with Chloe, she was incredibly responsive, friendly and accommodating and had made sure that everything was just perfect. The annexe adjoins the main house and overlooks the most beautiful garden and pond. There is a separate entrance to the annexe and car parking space right in front. The annexe is beautifully designed and equipped ( e.g. Susie Watson china, small fridge), the bed is super comfortable and Chloe even provides a delicious breakfast, even checking for preferences and allergies. We just loved it all and do hope that our busy schedules allow us to return to this little oasis of tranquility and beauty. Thank you, Chloe, for a really wonderful stay.

  • This is a truly beautiful barn with wonderful character. Even during our stay in winter, the barn was really cosy and warm. We enjoyed walking around the farm and seeing the alpacas and shetland pony. We also walked to the local pub, although did find walking along the roads with children a bit nerve wracking! We loved the new experience of cooking on the Aga (but it does help if you are relaxed about when you eat as it is not as easy as a standard cooker to control specifically!) Russ was a brilliant host, very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

This lovely room is good for parents with a child. It is small for 3 adults but people have been happy with it. Wonderful walks and spaces. A mile from the road the tudor oast is approached by tree lined drive and bridge dividing lakes. Near Hever castle, Chartwell, Penshurst, Lingfield racecourse and Gatwick airport.
The house is a converted 16th Century square Oast where hops were previously dried for processing and brewing beer. The exposed sandstone for the kiln construction was supplied from the long redundant quarry visible from the house. Henry V111 probably hunted deer through the woods while courting Ann Boleyn at Hever. The farmhouse next door has a priest hole to hide in.
The farmstead is a mile from the public road and a haven in the centre of a mediaeval water system with dammed streams and a water mill recorded in 1341. There are good restaurants/pubs with in a few miles: Henry Viii and the Greyhound at Hever, the Plough at Dormansland, Kentish Horse at Mark Beech, Wheatsheaf at Bough Beech, Fountain at Cowden & Leicester Arms at Penshurst.
  • A wonderfully peaceful location. Certainly a place for nature lovers. My son loved watching the lambs playing in the field outside the window. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything you would need is there at hand. A great place to stay and great value for money!

  • I stayed 3 nights in this idyllic property which consisted of 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen/diner and sitting room. My room was most comfortable and kitchen well-equipped (milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread and their own free-range eggs provided). Located at the end of a country lane this was the ideal place to relax with a small lake complete with a family of mute swans and lots of ducks and ducklings plus a 'wild wood' to explore. I was able to visit nearby Chiddingsstone Castle, Penshurst Place, Hever Castle, Quebec House and The Bluebell Railway and can report there are many country inns to choose from. Made to feel very welcome and sorry when I had to leave.

    Michael2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is in a delightful country setting, separate from the house and self-contained. It was basic but adequate and the beds were comfortable, but it could not be called a home-from-home. It was however fit for purpose.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay with hosts Helen (Janey) and Chris and will be back the next time we are in the area. Both are fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were in the area to attend a funeral and had my wife's 90 year old mother with us. This was our first stay at an airbnb and we were all very pleased with the accommodation which was much better than other B&Bs we have stayed at. The property is simply delightful, being an oast house on a working farm, with beautiful grounds and lakes. The oast house has all the amenities needed and is like a self-catering property with all breakfast supplies waiting for us. Thank you Janey for making our stay a very happy one albeit at a sad time for us. Paul, Ruhi and Shireen

  • Enjoy the stay. It is amazing to have the sheep passing by the window when you do the dishes. Thanks Helen for spending time showing me the lovely farm around.

The house enjoys glorious views surrounded by open countryside and has a happy atmosphere. It looks onto fields, a lake and beyond these the north downs. There is easy and convenient parking, with many interesting places a short drive away: Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Chartwell and Groombridge Place plus Lingfield Racecourse. The train service to London is under an hour to Victoria or London Bridge from Edenbridge or Lingfield train stations.
This is 16th Century Oast House which has been comfortably converted, with gas central heating, into 3 double bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (one bedroom is on the ground floor with 2 single beds and adjoining shower room). The kitchen/dining room has an electric cooker, washing machine and table to seat 6. A high chair and cot are available when requested.
As well as enjoying this ancient farmstead (where we have lived for 40 years) there are glorious places to visit. Penshurst Place, Hever Castle, Chartwell and Groombridge Place are all within 15 minutes (approx.) drive from here. Gatwick airport is about 25 minutes and Lingfield racecourse 10 minutes.
  • The property is ideal for families - there are 3 large double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - very important if you have teenagers! The kitchen is a good size but could be better equipped as it is very much a self-catering property as you aren't within walking distance of any pubs. The surrounding countryside is lovely and there is lots to see & do in the area (maybe not for teenagers!). The wifi in the house is good. There isn't a garden so if the weather is good this might be a bit frustrating. If you want to go to London, particularly in the evening, I suggest driving to Sevenoaks as the train service is so much better.

  • We loved our time in Edenbridge. Quiet and very central between Sussex and Kent.

  • It is the perfect Farm vacation home. The old farm house gave it rustic charm. The surrounding walking trails were accessible and wandered through fields of sheep and horses. While it is out in the country it is only 5 minutes from town and grocery shopping. It was a great setting for a family get away, we felt safe letting the kids wander a little on their own. I would highly recommend this house if your in the area. The hosts were wonderful, very accommodating and helpful.

  • The house was spacious, comfortable, clean and in a beautiful country location. The property was easy to find and a short distance to town. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the older kids had a blast exploring the lake, woods and fields. I would stay here again!

Simply stunning recently decorated 2 bedroom barn conversion with private access, near Hever Castle, Penshurst and Tunbridge Wells. London is 35 minutes by train. Set in five acres of private gardens, endless country walks Plenty of local pubs and nearby supermarkets.
  • Biz was a fantastic host. The Duckhouse was a lovely stay in a beautiful setting. The ducks Sprout and Ivy were so friendly and came to greet us each day! The Duckhouse had everything we needed for our stay and Biz quickly responded to any questions we had via email. I would highly recommend and would stay again!

    Tammy2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Duckhouse is amazing - easily the most beautiful setting for a holiday cottage and the property itself is stunning. Immaculate decor throughout, comfy beds, all the kitchen facilities you would need, and set in a gorgeous, large rolling lawn with ponds, ducks and a treehouse! The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a particular treat in the cold (Website hidden by Airbnb) was a fabulous host - very accommodating and fast to respond to all communication, and there were fresh cut flowers on our arrival :-). Top marks, the Duckhouse is fabulous!

  • Our stay at the Duck House was so lovely. First of all the property is just stunning! We arrived after dark on a rainy night, and when I looked out the window for the first time the next morning, I could hardly believe it was real. The ducks are delightful as well. The cottage is nicely decorated, comfortable and well-appointed. The heated bathroom floor was a treat. The beds were quite comfortable with nice (Website hidden by Airbnb) and her husband couldn't have been more gracious. They went way out of their way to help us when we arrived after dark from the airport on a stormy night. We would highly recommend this property as it is a great choice for anyone needing somewhere to stay in the area. Thanks so much, Biz and family. You have a wonderful place!

  • We had a very pleasant stay with our family of four at The Duckhouse. The grounds are beautiful. The main house is right next to The Duckhouse. We enjoyed the duck family and the beautiful surroundings. The house is furnished with taste in light and friendly colours and equipped with everything you might need. We were welcomed with beautiful fresh flowers. The location is not easy to find, but actually very well positioned for exploring the region. The hosts were not there when we stayed, but very quick in responding to all our questions. Sadly the trampoline and swings were not in usable condition, but the duck family was a real treat to observe.

  • Tee's Barn was a very comfortable and spacious residence. I agree with previous comments, in that the photos don't reveal how spacious this place is. Tee's Barn is a semidetached dwelling in a picturesque farm house. It is a truly beautiful area of Kent and I thoroughly enjoyed waking up everyday in the Kent Countryside. Tee made me feel very welcome as soon as I arrived and even offered to do my laundry during my stay. Tee has put a lot of love and work into this place and it clearly shows in Tee's Barn. Had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend.

  • As a group of 6 people staying for 1 month, we had a really enjoyable stay in this unique house. We received a warm welcome from our hosts with all the explanations needed. Thank you very much Kerstin and Pete.

  • Beautiful house, and fantastic hosts that provided all check in/out information clearly. Plenty of space to make yourself feel at home, including a huge dining table and plenty of pots and pans to allow easy catering for 12 people. We had a great weekend trawling through the DVD collection and staying in the lovely Edenbridge (including pubs, shops and banks within less than a minutes walk from the door!). We'd certainly stay again. The house was STUNNING!

  • I´ts a very interesting and fun experience staying in this house. I´ts beeming with history and we could almost see the "gohst´s" passing through from room to room. Even though we were a group of six people the Taylour House were spaciouce. Kerstin is an exellent host keeping a perfect instruction and communication on everything.

  • This stunning home was a perfect base for our stay. The host was really kind and accommodating. The house is spectacular, quirky, charming and so special you feel privileged to be allowed to stay in it. Despite being 600 years old there are all the mod cons you could need. The decoration is warm and homely so you dont feel like youre staying in a museum. The location is easy to find and parking is great. Beds are soft and comfy...altogether, cant fault it. Perfect.

    Helen2016-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hi - This house is truly AMAZING. It feels like you are staying in a museum but with all the modern conveniences. The house is beautiful, renovated really well, lovely beds with fresh linen, a beautiful bathroom and everything you could ever wish for. Kerstin was a great host and even left easter eggs for our children which they loved. We were a party of 12 (3 families) and found the house really spacious. We used it as a base to visit Chartwell House, Hever Castle and to do some local walks. I cannot recommend this house enough and we will definitely be visiting again!

Four Elms is close to the historic houses of Hever Castle, Chartwell, Penshurst. Gatwick is 40minutes. Located in the centre of the village and has easy access to London 45minutes by train but is in the heart of beautiful Kentish countryside. Ideal for couples, business travellers, and families with children and has reasonable wheelchair access. Our interior designer has worked to boutique hotel quality. Keen tennis players have an opportunity to play on and with John on his grass tennis court
Our interior designer has succeded in creating this very comfortable space which our visitors have loved. The designer wanted to be able to welcome wheel chair users and we have a wheel chair available to save unloading from your car.

  • Lovely presented, clean and spacious flat. The fresh bread and milk and orange juice are a lovely touch. We definitely can't fault the flat inside but the location sadly let it down for us. It's right on a crossroads with a main road right outside which you can hear late into the night and early in the morning even through the double glazing. If you're used to road noise then the flat is beautiful, unfortunately we're not.

    Andy2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We recently selected John's flat in Four Elms as our base of operations for a visit to a number of places in south east England. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. We were a party of four adults and we found the flat to be extremely comfortable and well-equipped. From there we conducted day trips to Dover, Canterbury and Brighton, all of which were within easy driving distance. In addition, we visited Chartwell and Hever Castle, which are practically on the flat's doorstep and which we enjoyed immensely. The flat is close to a number of excellent pubs; we had dinner one night at the Four Elms Inn, which is within easy walking distance of the flat, and another night at the Henry VIII in nearby Hever. There were several more to choose from, but we ran out of nights. John was a terrific host, meeting us as soon as we arrived and touring us through the flat explaining how everything worked ( a necessary thing for Canadians unfamiliar with British appliances). He was a font of local information and provided us with excellent tips on how to get around and what to see. The fresh bread and jam waiting for us in the flat were a much appreciated touch. My only regret is that we hadn't arranged to stay more than four nights!

Oak House Farm apartment is attached to a Grade II-listed 300 year old country house, with unrivalled views across ancient and historic countryside. It has recently been totally renovated to a very high standard providing all modern amenities. Local attractions include Chartwell, Hever Castle, Chiddingstone Castle and Penshurst Place. Conveniently close to M25, Gatwick and Heathrow airports and several mainline stations for trains to London. Great stop-over to or from the Channel ports.
From the doorstep guests can access beautiful and peaceful country walks, excellent cycle routes and several local pubs. Coming to stay at Oak House Farm will provide a relaxing retreat from life's stresses. There is nothing more tranquil than unwinding on the terrace or in the bright sunny sitting room with a glass of wine watching the sun setting across the sheep fields.
Four Elms is a quiet village with only a few amenities though we have several local towns within 10-15 mins for general shopping. The countryside is perfect for exploring and good pubs/restaurants are plentiful. Lots to see and do locally and further afield. London is only 35 mins by train!
  • Wonderful time. Glorious countryside. Made to feel at home in a most beautiful annex. So grateful to Rachel for her help and hospitality in making this so.

  • This apartment is a lovely modern conversion with everything you could wish for. It consists of a living area with kitchen, breakfast bar and sofa, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Everything in the apartment is of the highest quality and it is delightfully furnished, spotlessly clean and perfect for a short stay. The owners are discreet, friendly and helpful. The verandah is a lovely outdoor space overlooking the owners’ garden (which is not available to guests). The surroundings are bucolic with just fields and sheep either side of the lane. I would like to add a few notes for dog owners. There is normally a charge for bringing dogs additional to those listed on Airbnb. Dogs are only allowed in the living area. We brought our two small dogs with us and they fitted in OK but I am not sure how suitable the limited space would be for a larger dog. The verandah is not fully enclosed so dogs could escape from there into the owners’ garden. You may have a request to visit from the owner’s playful dog Jess! The delightful local footpaths start a few hundred yards away down the country lane. All in all I would highly recommend this apartment.

  • Rachel's place is absolutely lovely. It's cosy and well equipped and set in beautiful surroundings. There's lots to do in the area - I would highly recommend a visit.

  • This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a few nights in the country. Rachel and her partner are very warm and accommodating, the kitchen is fully stocked and the space is beautiful, with a variety of board games to rival a Toys R Us sale. Sadly we didn't get the chance to do any of the local walks, but the views promised that it would have been well spent time and your hosts will give you all the right information ahead of setting out. Similarly we brought our own food as opposed to taking up the option of breakfast, but going by the quality of our entire experience I'm sure it would have been delicious.

    Evangeline2017-12-10T00:00:00Z

All the best bits of camping – campfires, birdsong, and breathtaking scenery, combined with clean, dry, inspirational space, proper beds and a private toilet. The brand new yurt is at the edge of a wood, with a great view. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is included, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, Egyptian cotton bedding, towels, a wood burning stove and a firepit.
  • We had a fantastic stay at Chris's yurt, couldn't ask for more comfort, better glampamping facilities or view, absolutely stunning. Even a deers came meters away from our breakfast!! I'm already trying to see if we can go again soon. Walks are also great, crossing woods, streams and fields, perfect for adults or kids with a variety of lengths. We really loved it all. Thanks Chris!

    Marion2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Quite expensive for what it is. Toilet was a hole in the floor full up with of people's poo which wasn't pleasant. A lot of flys and slugs in the yurt which of course can't be helped but still, wasn't nice. Host was great though, very accommodating. Unfortunately our stay was delayed till October and was very cold and wet

    Paige2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurt is absolutely amazing and we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The views from the Yurt are stunning and the walks around are beautiful. Overall an amazing stay and will definitely return!

    Ellie2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is really cosy and the views were amazing. It poured with rain for most of our second day, but the yurt stayed totally dry and we dried off nicely with the woodburner. It's a bit of a hike (15 minutes) to get a shower, so I didn't bother; there are water, a bowl, soap and towels at the yurt. The composting loo is perfectly respectable and the kitchen has everything you need for camp cooking. Pack light using a large backpack, and remember your dry shampoo, and wellies. And sausages. Really tranquil and relaxing break.

    Susie2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect location. We were only 20 miles from home but felt like we were in another county. The yurt was perfect the only issue we had was the rain and the wind. Mother Nature can be a pain but we had packed waterproofs so still did the trail walk. Well worth it. Would recommend the Fox and Hound pub on Toys Hill. And would stay again. Thank you Chris.

    Cheryl2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was a fantastic host and couldn't have been more helpful in showing us around his yurt and the surrounding organic farm. The view is amazing across the nearby nature reserve. The beds were really comfy with a lovely warm duvet. An amazing family trip and all enjoyed being 'off the grid'.

  • Lovely ground floor room in barn conversion with own entrance & wood beams. Louise was lovely. Beautiful location.

  • Lovely place very clean and comfortable exactly as described. Pack your walking boots as there are some lovely footpaths to walk in the immediate surrounding area.

  • Louise is a very thoughtful host yet totally respects your space. It was lovely being in the middle of the countryside and and having great walks, Kingdom yoga, pubs and historic attractions on the doorstep. It was also the perfect place for a quiet afternoon nap.

Very private with freedom to come and go at any time. Taking breakfast in your own space either inside with table and chairs or outside on the private patio with wonderful views. Perfect for garden and wildlife lovers. Hidden behind a 16th Century Thatched Cottage with lots of local history. Ideal for a romantic retreat or celebration.
The area has lots of History, lovely Kent Pubs, footpaths and country walks. Many local attractions holding events throughout the year. It is also nice to visit in winter. Great shopping in Tunbridge Wells with many nice Restaurants and street cafes. Hever Castle is open on the run up to Christmas, which is magical, especially if followed with mulled wine and a meal at The Henry VIII Inn! Snowdrop week is a good time for a winter break.
  • Wonderful little place with a modern-style room/bathroom. Warm and snug for a cold winter's day! Just a few minutes down the road from a great pub (King Henry) - they do great pork belly - and a close drive to other places to see (Hever Castle, Chartwell etc.). And hosts were lovely :)

  • Wendy's husband met us and was very warm and welcoming, telling us everything we needed to know.

    Andres & Candi2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • LOVELY!! Brilliantly done: you have your own little private place, with a beautiful bathroom and if the weather is nice you can sit outside on your private little terrace to have a leisurely breakfast while enjoying being surrounded by flowers and an exquisite garden with views over a field!! Also, the local pub provides very good food and you couldn't be any closer to the Castle! Wendy is an absolutely lovely host and we wish we could have stayed longer to have time to simply relax and enjoy. Thanks!

  • We travelled to Hever to see Hever Castle, but ended up having to leave Hever before we were able to get there- It was due to Wendy and Ivor's wonderful garden and warm hospitality that we still managed to have a really lovely (Website hidden by Airbnb) we arrived late, Wendy's husband managed to find vegetarian meals at the pub that had stopped serving...truly above and beyond..Thank you so much, and I hope we will be able to make it back to actually see the castle next time :)

    Camille2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time - the room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Wendy was a perfect host, giving as much or as little as you wanted from her. Beautiful garden and beautiful part of the world.

    kim2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy & Ivor made us feel very welcome - an wonderfully friendly couple and great hosts. We really enjoyed staying in Hever and the proximity to what is an amazing local pub was a real bonus too. The room was cosy with a wonderful bathroom with underfloor heating. The continental breakfast was really good and suited our needs perfectly. A very pretty location.

    Georgina2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning amd the view out the french doors from the bedroom is absolutely fantasic! Nestled in at the bottom of a fantastic garden the annex is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. Metres away from Hever Castle Entrance (far enough to not hear all the hustle and bustle) and great pubs in the area. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and provided us with everything we needed. Breakfast was plenty and qe had it on the patio outside in the morning sun. Highly recommended if you want a bit of peace and relax.

    Annika2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Here is the thing, The place was lovely and clean with a great garden. Wendy gives a lot of care to her property, that's obvious! A friendly host. A wardrobe would be fine. We had to keep moving our clothes to chair to the desk and then to bed. But the thing is even if she looked really helpful, we couldn't find the right support the most we needed it. I’ve left the property with a lot of disappointment, it was utterly unprofessional for a host to leave their guests own their own while they are sick and suggested pub rejected to give food whereas other nearest shop or restaurant is miles away. That’s what happened, I could not make to her suggested pub, they rejected my husband to give take away, we could only eat the other day's breakfast and could not get enough support from Wendy. Not only disappointment but also with hunger, we left the property. Also, a microwave or small oven should also be very useful if you consider the location of the property.

  • Lovely and peaceful place! Thanks to a very welcoming Piers and a fridge full of tasty regional produce we enjoyed our stay every minute.

    Nora2015-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little cottage in the midst of beautiful English countryside. The barn is perfect for four people, very cosy with a wood burner and Piers, our host, generously let us take as much wood as we liked. Plenty of good walks/hikes/jogs very close to the house with a lovely pub in Hever (Henry the 8th - about 6k away) for a break. Thanks Piers - we will most certainly be coming back!

    David2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Straw Barn was really well set up as a holiday let - well equipped kitchen, good wifi, comfy beds etc - all in all a really comfortable place for a holiday. Great location with lots of nearby things to do and a nice 30 minute walk to Penshurt. Piers was very welcoming and made us feel right at home, especially with the local food supplies!

    Hannah2016-06-05T00:00:00Z

    Mario2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • I very much enjoyed my time here, a beautiful quiet location, comfortable with full kitchen and a good wifi signal. Only a short drive to Tunbridge Wells/Tonbridge. Piers is charming and helped to make my stay very enjoyable.

Perfect driving distance from London, lovely peaceful country surroundings (and a local pub that does a great mac and cheese) but also very close to Royal Tunbridge Wells which is definately worth a visit. They were very welcoming and helpful but also left us to our own devices, which we appreciated. The accomodation was spotless and comfy with fresh milk, juice, bread, crossiants, jams, wine, chips and choccies all waiting for us! I can highly recommend a stay here :)

  • If you're looking for a warm welcome and a stay that extends way beyond a place to sleep, look no further. Anna's place oozes character and personality, once you'll leave, you'll find yourself wanting to go back. Just to enjoy its coziness once more. Enjoy a cosy stay in a quaint getaway cottage, within a small piece of outstanding natural beauty in the North Downs Village of Ide Hill. Log burning stove and modern, but in keeping kitchen and bathroom. (URL HIDDEN)
Once inside you will find a modern country kitchen with butler sink, open plan living and warming log burner to snuggle up by after a long walk in the area of natural outstanding beauty. Walk up the quaint staircase which leads you to the shabby chic bedroom and modern bathroom. Calming and relaxing decor throughout to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. There is a small sofa bed in the lounge if you require extra accommodation for children or another couple. This would be on a request basis to ensure the bed is made up with an addition charge of £25 per person/night.
A short walk to the local pub to enjoy a pint and good food, the award winning village community shop selling fresh bread, produce and tasty treats. Endless country walks on the doorstep to take in fantastic views across the North Downs and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Nestled between the historic town of Westerham and market town of Sevenoaks you can find many National Trust properties including Emmett's Garden, Chartwell (the home of Winston Churchill) and Knole Park. Maybe take in the jousting at Hever Castle (the home of Anne Boyleyn and Henry VIII) or Bough Beech Reservoir for bird watching.
  • Mount Pleasant, Ide Hill, is the perfect little retreat if you want a nice relaxing time away from London. You can get to Sevenoaks in less than an hour on the train and then a short taxi ride to Ide Hill. There is a local pub a few minutes from the house, a hub for the local community, serving local ales and complete with a big open fireplace. Mount Pleasant cottage is beautifully furnished and very homely, with everything you could need as a home from home. Chrissie is a warm and welcoming host, who went out of her way to make me feel at home. She had thought of everything, breakfast options with delicious local marmalade, honey and jam, fresh brea and she had created packs of information about the local area. I feel privileged to be Chrissie's first airbnb guest and would definitely visit again. Thanks again Chrissie!

  • Our stay at the cottage was lovely. If you are looking for a place to unwind for the weekend we definitely recommend. The cottage is incredibly cosy and welcoming, it had the most beautiful living room with a fire we couldn't wait to light! Fully equipped kitchen which we used for baking in. Chrissie as a host went out of her way to make our stay great, with a fridge full of yummy treats and a very friendly welcome.

    Kerry2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy cottage in a small & peaceful village. It is like a home away from home. Chrissie was a wonderful host and even went the extra mile by providing an edible hamper with snacks & fruit; bread with jam & butter and filled the bar fridge with milk, juice, eggs, cheese, etc There is no mobile network coverage but have excellent wi-fi connections inside the house. One is required to climb a small and narrow staircase which leads to the comfortable bedroom and spacious bathroom upstairs Nearby is a local pub which serves good food ( surprisingly much better food than what we had in some gastro pubs in bigger towns) and it is like 2 minutes walk from the accommodation. Highly recommend this cottage if you have a car.

    Vanessa2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • My first Airbnb experience! From the moment I arrived, Chrissie made me feel right at home. Set in a beautiful village, the countryside awaits as soon as you step outside the front door. There's even a little garden outside if you don't want to walk too far to enjoy the scenery. The cottage was equipped with everything I needed and much more. I barely had to buy a thing for my 2 night stay. Chrissie has thought of everything, and I was constantly surprised by the little touches which made my stay so comfortable. A fully-equiped kitchen, which I could have used to cook up a storm if I was so inclined. The bathroom is beautiful and perfect for a luxurious bath. The bedroom has plenty of storage and I had two of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The living room is wonderfully cosy and I loved chilling out here with the door wide open into the garden. I came here to relax and unwind and mission (Website hidden by Airbnb) only regret is that I didn't book for longer.

    Hannah2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Chrissie is amazing! Such a friendly and generous host! Couldn't recommend her highly enough! My wife and I stayed here on our first night of marriage and we absolutely loved it. Such a cute place with a beautiful garden. Terffic.

    Emeka2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • I'd like to adopt Chrissie, she is so caring and considerate. We had such a long journey to the cottage, fraught with disaster (plane broke down so other half couldn't make it) and Chrissie went the extra mile to make sure I had found the cottage (it's quite hard to find in the dark be warned) and that EVERYTHING was laid on for the stay! The fridge was stocked with local honey and brie, coffee machine poised ready for action, a basket of fresh croissants, bread and fig jam, Molton Brown toiletries ... it was all there. The gorgeous 'white company' bed linen and morning chicken clucking were highlights and I'd love to stay again x

    Elizabeth2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Chrissie's cottage was absolutely delightful. The sitting room is cosy, the kitchen has everything you need and the bed is extremely comfortable! The area is so peaceful and the cottage has a lovely garden- I'd recommend taking a look at the stars if it's a clear night. Chrissie was also the most welcoming host I've ever had- she left little treats for us and made us feel completely at home! Ide Hill is a great base to start walks from too. But, tip for guests, if you want to go anywhere in a taxi (or come home from anywhere), plan ahead way in advance (especially at weekends) as the taxi companies are extremely busy and you might fail to get one! I definitely recommend Ide Hill and Chrissie's cottage as a weekend getaway- it's perfect!

Our house is a former pub in Toys Hill, an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking the Weald of Kent. Surrounded by National Trust woodland, we are walking distance to Chartwell and Emmett's Garden and the local pub. Our guest apartment is in the pub's former skittle alley, now converted into a comfortable self contained studio with shower room and toilet, a private courtyard garden and independent garden access. The bed is an extremely comfortable king size sofa bed.
The Skittle Alley of our former pub was converted six years ago into a music studio (with grand piano) and guest accommodation. It has an entrance hall, with access to shower room and toilet, then a large studio containing a king size sofa bed. Outside is a private courtyard garden and access to the former pub terrace with views over 12 miles of Kent countryside.
We overlook the Weald of Kent from our garden in the middle of Toys Hill. The local pub and National Trust properties Chartwell and Emmetts Garden are within walking distance.
