“Hyde Park is one of my favourite places in the world. A gorgeous slice of nature right in the centre of London. Beautiful in any season and different every visit. Great for dog-spotting, wandering by the lakes or getting lost in the flowers. It's wonderful.”

“Book tickets to visit the official London residence of the Queen, which is only open to the public during the summer months. Explore the lavishly-furnished State Rooms of one of the world's few remaining working royal palaces and look out for some of the Royal Collection's greatest treasures on display. Highlights of the Buckingham Palace summer opening include: The 19 beautifully-decorated State Rooms, used for receiving guests and official functions The Throne Room - often used as a backdrop for royal wedding photos The magnificent Grand Staircase The special exhibition for 2020 - Royal Animals Fine art, including works by Canaletto, Rembrandt and Vermeer A multimedia tour introduced by Prince Charles”

“The architecture of the British Museum is almost as impressive as the collection it holds. Entrance to the museum is free (with the exception of special exhibitions) and the building is a great rainy day activity when the weather is not so great in the capital. Head to the very heart of the Museum to capture a stunning picture of the British Museum’s architecture at its best”

“If the shopping on Oxford Street, Regent Street and One New Change wasn’t quite enough for you, don’t worry, we have London’s most iconic shopping mall up next on the list! While the prices might not be for all pockets entry is free, and I personally always enjoy exploring the food hall of Harrods. The outside of the building is also beautiful and the perfect backdrop for Instagram photos. If you’re visiting under Christmas time they also add loads of lights to the facade, making it an even more Instagrammable shot.”

“One of London's must-see attractions, the Tower of London spans the history of the great city. Be sure to take one of the Beefeater tours. These Yeomen of the Guard have distinguished military histories and know everything there is to know about this formidable old prison. Their tours are packed with grizzly stories and often very funny. The Tower is also the home of the Crown Jewels and Royal Armoury.”

“Westfield is only a 20 minute bus journey away from my residency and is fa antastic place to visit to shop the sales or seek the latest trends from high-end to high-street fashion. Grab a coffee or a bite to eat in the food hall area whilst you are there. If you have time, why not see a film at the cinema inside the shopping centre complex - keep an eye out for freebies and vouchers.”

Ristorante francese
“This isn’t just one of the best spots in Notting Hill, it’s one of the best restaurants in London too. Australian chef Brett Graham was just 26 when he opened the Ledbury back in 2005, and since then he’s won and continuously held onto two Michelin stars. The resolutely British eight-course tasting menu reads like a paean to the English countryside: clay-baked white beetroot, Herdwick lamb with purple aubergine, aged pigeon with endives, lots of game and Graham’s signature brown-sugar and stem-ginger tart. This may be a proper starchy-white-tablecloth restaurant, but there’s a genuine buzz inside and staff are welcoming, guiding diners through the lengthy wine list. Come for a special-occasion supper – reservations open two months in advance, so book far ahead.”

“Favourite hangout of the young and moneyed Chelsea-ites, the food at Bluebird has traditionally played second fiddle to the cocktails. Newly-appointed executive chef Simon Gregory has, thankfully, upped the kitchen’s game considerably with the likes of salt baked kohlrabi and salsify and spice roasted baby chicken now the stars of the show.”
