Appena prenotato a Grand Coteau

Set on 2 acres of land with native trees and plants, staying with us is an authentic country experience. Sweet potato capital of the world, Sunset, Louisiana is a convenient hub to explore the Acadiana region or relax on our serene property.
The room is similar to a private, second story apartment, but without a full kitchen. It has its own exterior entrance, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, plates and utensils. It should be noted that the single bed is a trundle bed and is low to the ground. The room receives a lot of shade from the big live oak tree that grows over it, under which you can swing in the hammock, sit on the front porch or in the garden. There is a small collection of vinyls featuring some classic Zydeco, Cajun and New Orleans musicians, as well as books and guitars for your pleasure. The room has a rustic/funky/southwest feel and is full of homemade or refurbished furniture. Dave is a master carpenter, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Our property is best suited for guests seeking the peace of the countryside, and a unique look at small town Louisiana life. It is also a convenient hub for exploring Acadiana: Lafayette is 20 minutes away, Mamou and Fred's Lounge is 30, Bayou Teche Brewery is 10, Opelousas is 7, historic Gran Coteau is 5, and of course Sunset is only a bike ride or short walk down the road. We have lived here our whole lives and can recommend interesting places to visit, where to eat, canoe at state parks, take scenic drives, see music (or an alligator!) and more.
As mentioned earlier, Sunset is a small town, but it is growing each year. We have a thriving arts and antique scene with shops like Bayou Some Stuff, Funky Flea and Remember When. There are a few restaurants: the very popular Cafe Josephine, the staple Little Mexico, Cajun Rizz for boiled crawfish and more and the Donut Palace. Just outside the "center" and you can visit the local grocery market or go to Subway. You can walk or ride a bike to Grand Coteau (3 miles), which is a charming town with old cajun houses, beautiful oak alleys, a cafe and a historic girls school, Sacred Heart Academy. Just a little farther and you can grab a drink or watch music at the Bike Barn, grab some boudin at Don's, or head to famous Prejean's for a seafood platter. A little further out, in Arnaudville is the Bayou Teche brewery with award winning micro-brews,tours and tastings
  • We enjoyed meeting Dave, a very gracious host, who also gave us great advice on things to do and shared some great stories. Enjoyed our breakfasts and benefitted from helpful comunications before our visit too. Great stay!

  • We had a really nice time in the Bon Temps Tree Room. Super comfortable, lots of great amenities, and Dave and his wife were excellent and very hospitable hosts who brought us breakfast in the morning. Sunset and surrounding Cajun country is really charming and beautiful. We love visiting whenever we can and Dave's place is an amazing deal. We would love to return to it sometime!

  • Dave and his wife were astonishing hosts! I stayed there a few days to spend some time in the countryside and it was perfect! Dave was super friendly and so helpful! Breakfast was delicious and the house is a little piece of paradise. It is super quiet and very cozy. It has an awesome view on the beautiful backyard and the most incredible tree, almost hugging the house. I fully recommend this paradisiac stay!

  • Dave was very accommodating and had a lovely and quiet place. Had a short but great stay.

  • Dave's tree room is a delight. It's even cuter than the pictures can represent. Dave built the home himself and so much thought and care has gone into creating a cozy and convenient little haven up in the tree tops. The landscaping around the building is equally lovely. We loved the comfy bed, the dark and quiet at night, the kitchenette and the delicious home-cooked breakfasts. Everything was charming, in fantastic order and very clean. Dave is just great and we really enjoyed chatting with him. Sunset is really cute and close to a lot of other attractions. We are really impressed with Dave's attention to detail - particularly with the lighted sign for the house, clearly visible from the road at night. Would love to stay again!

  • Very nice hosts and comfy bed!

  • Dave was great at communicating with us on our way to his location, we showed up late because of traffic situations and he worked out a plan to get us up and into bed ASAP. The place is beautiful too! Super comfortable inside and such a pretty garden just out back. Thank you Dave for the wonderful experience and for accommodating my little family. Great work on your place too! Definitely would recommend your location to my closest friends and anyone after that. Also I had forgotten my toothbrush... Dave had one there ready for use.

    Corey2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Suzanne were fantastic hosts, they were so sweet, and so easy to talk to, we wanted them to adopt us! The pictures of the place do not even do it justice, it is probably the best stay we have ever had on airbnb. We unfortunately had a very short stay but would have loved to stay longer, and will hopefully be able to stay with them again. The property is beautiful, and the quaint little town of sunset is just a mile away and has everything you need including fantastic restaurants. My husband even left his wedding ring, and Dave put it in the mail for us the next day and it was waiting for us when we got home! We really could not recommend a better place to stay while in Cajun country!

Mama Sue's is a converted 160 sqare foot red barn shed with a covered front porch looking out on the beautiful grounds of the St. Charles College. We have Murphy Queen-sized bed, shower, antique sink, small refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. Walls, and trim are palette wood which makes for some interesting textures! We are within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. Most of all, its a historic peaceful place.

  • This place was amazing! Susan has paid attention to every detail and had everything that we could possibly need! She greated us and we chatted about the tiny shed we were staying in. It is so cute!!!! The Murphy bed was extremely comfortable and there was even a smart tv. This was a perfect place for my husband and I. Check in and check out was a breeze!! We were so pleased with our stay we are already planning our next trip out and will be repeat customers!!

  • Not only is Mama Sue's absolutely ADORABLE, but Susan is such a wonderful host and such a lovely soul to be around. The home is cozy, clean, beautiful, and absolutely perfect!! Our stay was short, sweet, but so so memorable and Susan's hospitality was just the cherry on top! We can not wait to make it back to this charming little place. Highly recommend!!

  • Susan should be under the Super Host Label!. She is kind and very hospitable, her tiny house is just as described, it is brand new with exquisite design details; frankly it was quite beyond my expectation. I felt like home and I slept very comfortable. I had a very good experience. It was very nice to find the fridge stocked with tea, milk and water bottles. Coffee and biscuits also available for consomption. The neighborhood is very safe and peaceful. I had the pleasure of taking a walk with Susan to explore amazing views of Grand Coteu Historic District just blocks away from the house. I would highly recommend Susan's property to an Airbnb guest who is looking for great accommodation and super friendly host.

  • My husband and I loved the small, cozy casita! The fresh citrus was nice too. I liked having the brochures to thumb through; as we had no strict plans. It's beautiful and our hosts were most accommodating. :)

  • We had a great time staying at Patrice and Olan's cosy cabin. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend! Every morning we were greeted with delicious scones and fresh fruit and the cabin itself is so beautiful decorated with an amazing shower and a super comfortable bed. We would highly recommend staying here and would book again in a heartbeat! Also Olan was very understanding when I had to switch our checkin dates which I really appreciated. Overall great experience!

    Lesley2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Olan was very gracious, courteous and even met us at the post office to lead us to the cottage. He was attentive to any needs that we might have had. Overall a very good host. The cottage was as cute as a button. It was constructed with every detail in mind. It was thought out carefully and efficient. Not only was the cottage well constructed but also colorful and functional. There was a lot of house in 400 sq ft of living area. The AC was on when we arrived, the coffee pot was ready to be turned on, and the refrigerator was stocked with yogurt, fruit juice, coffee packets and butter. The table hosted apples and bananas. The neighborhood had beautiful, large, old trees and across the street was a huge open field suitable for walking the dog, which by the way, Olan was willing to allow us to bring. Olan provided covers to protect A few blocks away were antique shops and restaurants both of which were quaint and local owned. The town was full of charming history and across the interstate was another town where additional stores, shops and restaurants were located. Literature was provided in the cottage telling of areas of interest as well as where specific businesses were located. The breakfast provided each day was fantastic. Blueberries, strawberries, jams and homemade cranberry scones were delivered at an agreed upon time that were simply divine.

    noel2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Olan and Patrice would great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is set back from the street a bit and felt both private and part of the community.

  • I loved staying at this little casita! Plan and Patrice made it so welcoming to not only me but my fur babies as well. Breakfast was so much fun each morning with never knowing what to expect. If I ever need to head that way again then I will definitely know where to stay!

    Ashley2016-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood with a quaint little town around it. There was even a restaurant within walking distance. Only a short driving distance away from both Lafayette and Chicot State Park made this the perfect place for us to do our weekend getaway! It was exceptionally clean and spacious. Olan offered nice, fluffy towels and a huge shower with plenty of hot water! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen area was just what we needed! It had its own private parking and driveway as well. The best touch was the breakfast each morning! We are planning to stay again when we make it out to Lafayette!

  • Peaceful, beautiful, lovely one room cottage. The photos don't do it justice, one must see it in person to truly appreciate it. Airy and bright with great natural light. Bathroom was gorgeous! Nice big walk-in shower. Had a small fridge, sink and coffee maker available for use. Very clean and well kept space. Delicious fresh scones and fruit delivered each morning were a delightful treat. Would recommend this place to anyone!

  • Mary Ann and her husband were the perfect hosts. The house was nice and clean when we arrived and all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

    Wade2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place is cute!! However, there is noise from residence upstairs when walking around which can be bothersome if you're a light sleeper. Not sure how the water heater is set up but you don't get a lot of hot water for your shower. Wi-Fi is also very slow. Parking can also be a challenge if there is not enough space left in the driveway. I cleaning fee seems to be overpriced for the amount of space that exists. Just gives an impression that it might be an unethical practice for the owner to gain more profit.

  • We enjoyed a 3-night stay while in town for a wedding in LaFayette, LA, and brought our French Mastiff. The house is in a nice, rural, quiet location near Grand Coteau and Sunset, LA. We frequently visited LaFayette, LA because it was a short 15-20 minute drive from the space. We recommend canoe rental from Champagne's Swamp Tours, if you are interested in getting an up-close-and-personal experience in the bayou on Lake Martin. The space is about 45 minutes from Baton Rouge, and about 2 hours or less from New Orleans. It is an apartment-style space on the bottom level of the guest house. There was a gentleman staying in an apartment upstairs (exterior staircase and entry) during our stay, but this did not cause any issues for us. We highly recommend this space, and enjoyed our stay. The host and her husband introduced themselves when we checked in, included a gift in the house, and gave us their cell number in case we had any issues (we did not have any issues). The unit includes washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, cleaning supplies, full bathroom with towels), master bedroom with large closet (includes shelves, hangers, and full length mirror), kitchen (gas stove, microwave, oven, large sink, refridgerator, new Keurig, Cuisinart pots (3), skillets (2), and mixing bowls (3 sizes), silverware, cutting board and knives). If you plan to cook, bring measuring cups and a baking sheet, and keep in mind the unit does not have a dishwasher. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby, such as Prejean's, Blue Dog Cafe, and more. There is also a furnished living room with a desk, smart tv, large couch, ottomans, closet, and extra chairs. There are seats at the bar in the kitchen, but no dining table. The unit does include wifi, but it was slow and we were unable to use our Roku to stream on Netflix, Hulu, etc. This could be due to the rural area, or because there was a storm during our stay. We tried resetting the wifi, but it was still too slow for streaming (only one device in use). The unit does include satellite television, and has the standard channels. We did not have any issues with the TV. The house has a fenced yard, lovely trees, and beautiful view of the backyard pond with fountains and wildlife (ducks, egrets, etc.). There is also a patio with a small smoker on it, and a chicken coup behind the house that is well kept. The chickens were wondering the yard once during stay, and there are several cats living on the property, so keep in mind if you bring your dog! ☺️ Happy 'venturing!

  • Truly wonderful little place. Me and my family had to evacuate Florida and we needed something a little more affordable. This unit was very inexpensive and located in a very private location. The hosts were wonderful and the upstairs tenants were very friendly. We had to check in at about 5am due to traffic leaving Florida and they gladly accommodated this request. This is a very private location. It's very peaceful and quiet. There's a lovely pond in the back of the property and they have chickens! They brought us freshly laid eggs for breakfast and they also left wine and some sweets for us. If you want a relaxing little escape, I highly recommend. You have the city within 15 min and you get the tranquility of nature. The place itself was very nicely decorated, it had pots and pans, TV & wifi. If I could give it more stars, I would!!! Next time I'm in Lafayette, I will definitely come back here.

  • This place was very nice. We stayed for 2 weeks. Though it is not in the city it was worth the drive. You can't beat the amenities and cost compared to the other properties we considered that were directly in the city. Not only were we able to save money.. we were very pleased with how nice this place was. Modern and upscale. Bed was super comfy as well as the oversized couch. Mary and her husband were very friendly and close by.. always willing to help.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Mary Ann and her husband. The apartment is clean, well layed out, with enough space. We liked that we could do laundry and prepare breakfast. It was nice after spending time in hotels on our roadtrip to have our own space. Particularly nice was arriving to some welcome treats and some basics like salt, coffee, sugar, toothpaste, etc. Very friendly hosts. We will definitely book with them again in future.

  • Lovely little cabin in RURAL Arnaudville outside Lafayette -- fridge stocked with covert nice breakfast options . Delightful visit in the Cajun country, which we love. Yvonne was great at helping us find good music and activities. Recommended for seeing a little of the countryside.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Yvonne's cottage. The place is charming and very clean. Yvonne also loaded the fridge with food ! Probably one of the best places to stay around Lafayette ! Nous avons passé un séjour très plaisant chez Yvonne. Le cottage est très charmant et propre. Yvonne avait même fait quelques courses alimentaires. C'est probablement l'un des meilleurs endroits où dormir près de Lafayette.

  • Our charming place on Frozard was perfect! Quiet, peaceful and private. And Yvonne left goodies in the fridge to make our stay more comfortable. Definitely returning..

  • What a treat! Staying in this cute cabin will entice you to kick back and relax - leave your worries elsewhere! Photos and description are just as posted. The fridge was stocked with great essentials while leaving room for our traveling goodies. If you are fortunate enough to be in the area on a Saturday - save breakfast on Saturday morning for Cafe Des Amis in Breaux Bridge - we are not locals, but we do live in Louisiana and still very much enjoyed the ambiance and food at Cafe Des Amis. Spend your Saturday afternoon at Bayou Teche Brewing - the Owners are fabulous, the beer is unique and the music is delightful. We are in this area about 2-3 times a year and will definitely make a return visit to the cabin!

    Trinity2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Yvonne's place was just as pictured... simple, sweet, and very quiet. She picked a bunch of mandarin oranges for us that we enjoyed. There was also English muffins in the fridge and jam and tea. Loved the beautiful area and her space! Thanks Yvonne!

  • I loved this cozy little cottage, and its quiet, tree-fringed setting. The best part (as I think others have pointed out) was the porch, which is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or evening whiskey on a warm day.

Large private bedroom suite (~550 SF), 3 queens + 1 dbl bed + 2 sofas & Billiard table on 2nd floor of beautiful home situated on 10 private acres, 18 miles from Downtown Lafayette-choose from quiet solitude or south Louisiana culture at full blast!!
First, please check about availability before you try to book; and, don't forget to check the other listing(s): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5021364 This space is a huge, private suite, on the 2nd floor of a beautiful & well furnished 5 BR 4 BA home, on 10 very private acres, bordered on one side by 1/2 mile of frontage on Bayou Bourbeau, a tributary of Bayou Teche, yet only 16 miles north of Downtown Lafayette, LA. There are about 1250 Square Feet of covered porches, and a separate large round deck anchored by a massive, wood-fired, old world pizza and bread oven, with granite counters on which I can make pizza and cut and serve the pies that cook in less than 180 seconds... This space is a large, upstairs bedroom suite with a private bathroom and separate exercise room. It is almost 700 SF with 3 queen beds, 2 sofas, a pool table and a private bathroom that includes a deep soak tub with shower and a sink. The bedroom is furnished with two occasional chairs and a small leather sofa, an antique roll-top desk, and a small private closet for your use. The entire house is also potentially available by special arrangement, with or without catered meals, and can potentially sleep 12, plus another 6 on queen air mattresses that can be placed on the floor of the bedrooms upstairs. If you are potentially interested in the entire house, check ahead, because we live near the "Happiest City" in the United States - that is, Lafayette, Louisiana (for folks who haven't seen this famous study.) If this place is not available, and you need a recommendation of a place nearby, I have some great friends who are very close that I'd love to connect you with.
The House is a traditional "Acadian Style" of architecture, where the roof overhangs and covers a porch. It was built in the late 1980's, but was constructed using old, reclaimed cypress lumber, and antique, recycled doors, a fireplace mantle, and other such materials in many places. In January 2003, a fire damaged an exterior wall, and inspired a massive remodel and addition of 1500 SF. Coincidentally, following the rebuild, the ensuing decor leaned towards more contemporary styling, and the result became a modern space within a traditional, old antique shell. The house is not visible from the road, but is set way back off of a small country highway, keeping it very quiet. This part of SW LA is an area that is highly populated by musicians, and culinary & visual artists and I love having artists as neighbors. The house was featured as the cover story in the May/June 2008 Issue of Acadiana Living Magazine... see the photographs.
  • We had an wonderful stay at Bill's place! Great house full of character and Bill was perfect with us. Thank you!

    Manon2015-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bill's house was great for our family. While I was concerned about my toddler breaking something in Bill's house, he made us feel very comfortable that he wasn't worried about anything our child could break. I feel like Bill sensed my anxiety about this and put us at ease. But close supervision is highly recommended, as I'm sure Bill will tell you. We also had our Golden Retriever with us and he got along well with Bill's dogs. All that being said, we will definitely stay with Bill and will be recommending other family members to stay with him if they go visit the area. We stayed in the Bayou Billiards Suite and our little boy loved it. I'm not sure he's even seen a pool table before, but he was busy for a long time rolling balls into the pockets and setting them back up. Bill was very welcoming to our family who live near by. He cooked a dinner for us in honor of my father's birthday, and invited some of the family that live locally to join us. A great meal befitting our picky appetites (Caesar salad, chicken parm, pizza, and peach pie). Bill was great company during dinner. We were able to do our laundry and the water pressure in the shower was great (after we spent 4 nights in hotels/motels). Bill was great about our departure time. The house itself is very unique and Bill also has some neat art as well. We would highly recommend Bill's home as a place to stay for a responsible group/family. I should also mention my brother rented the adjoining room and we had the top floor to ourselves, which was great. We were able to hang out downstairs in the main living room/kitchen area as well.

  • We spent a great time at Bill's place. Bill was very helpful, advising us in many ways, at any time and he also made us feel at home, as soon as we arrived. We shared wonderful moments especially when he cooked his delicious "crawfish étouffée" for us. He is such a good cook and so pationate! Bertrand, Claire et Sylvaine, from France

  • Staying at Bills place was truly an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived we were treated with world renowned Southern hospitality. The house and surrounding jungle is just beautiful, listening to the sounds of the cicadas gives you a true feeling of being down South. We were craving some good home cooked food and Bill delivered! We got to try some locally sourced quality southern food that Bill cooked perfectly- this guy can cook! The room and bed were extremely comfortable and we loved spending time relaxing in the house. The dogs that live at the house are just gorgeous- seriously you won't meet cuter. The location is good also- far enough away to feel like you are in nature but close enough to get groceries or visit one of the many little towns that are nearby. When it came time to leave we both felt very sad, definitely the sign of a good stay. We look forward to visiting again- our second home in the south!

  • Bill is awsome and his house in front of the bayou is wonderful! It was a pleasure to spend one night there and moreover, to stay with Bill during the evening and the dinner that he prepared for us! We spoke a lot with him and it was a great moment : we learned many things about the life and people in USA and also how to make a delicious crawfish étouffée (which is a speciality of Louisiana!). The room is very confortable, with a king bed and a beautiful sight on the bayou and the nature arround the house. Thanks for this incredible experience and all your tips Bill ! :-)

And, of course, there is plenty of that Way Down Yonder, Yeah You Right, Sho' 'Nuf, turn-out-the-lights-and-call-the-doctor-not-the-law kinda FUN to be had by all. Stonewood is a modest agricultural plantation built in the late 1800's by one of two brothers who founded a local hospital. It was originally over 200 acres of agricultural land. Maison Stonewood was separated on 5 acres and the agricultural property was sold - but the 200 acres of agricultural land is still part of a working farm with vegetable production and cattle. All the original farm land surrounds Stonewood, protecting the rural atmosphere. The house, made of architectural stone, is set way back off the small country highway, so it is very quiet. We live in an area that is highly populated by artists and we love having many artists as neighbors. Also, a big plus - The Whirlybird - described in the June 2011 Issue of Southern Living Magazine - is just across the garden on the property. Valerie Luesse says, "Jim decided he didn't have the right gathering space for his circle of music-loving friends, so he bought an old Texaco distribution center & moved it to a secret location." We are in the countryside of historic St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. We are the perfect outpost - a cultural crossroad - between Austin/Houston/Dallas and New Orleans. Stonewood and The Whirlybird compound is set way back off a small country highway and surrounded by farmland, so it is often very quiet - except for the birds, the occasional cow bellow, farm equipment - or when The Honky Tonk is in full tilt mode. The countryside we live in is highly populated by artists and we love that we have many artists as neighbors. We have many artists come up from New Orleans to get away and experience rural Acadiana and its inspiring creative energy.

  • Me and my friend had a great time staying in the beautiful and funky cool folky art barn. It's a genuinely amazing place and truly my only regret was that we could only stay one night. This place is highly recommended A+++++!!!!

  • Jim was in touch before we arrived by email giving good directions. Upon arrival we were made very welcome and given a tour of the property. The property itself offers full facilities, has two large bedrooms, a big living room/ kitchen plus bathroom and laundry room. The place is on a former plantation, the folk art barn is great fun, full of character and is a true pleasure to stay at. Location wise it's just outside a small town in a rural location that is quiet but still easy to get to main roads. A gem of a place, we loved it. Jim and Christy are great hosts.

  • Charming place with great amenities and excellent hosts. Was perfect for our group (4 adults, 2 kids) and makes a great base to explore Acadiana. Will stay there every time we come back in town for family get-togethers!

  • As a South Louisiana native, I can't imagine a more genuine & authentic Cajun Country experience. Jim was an excellent host & the lodging & grounds of the property are just perfect. We have 2 small boys & they had an absolute blast. Looking forward to staying again when we have more time to relax & enjoy the beautiful surroundings. MK

  • It was a very pleasant stay. The hosts are very reactive, precise and kind in their answers. They were careful with small detaild like flowers, beers and farm eggs in the fridge. We really felt like guests. The home was cute and we loved the outdoor with the lake. It's rather close to all the things to do in the area. We would definitely recommend this place.

  • Without a doubt the best air b’n’b experience I’ve had. Incredible location and the cabin is exactly what we wanted. The grounds and cabin were enough to make this a 5 star location however having Frankie and Winston (dogs) keep us company all night made it even better. Incredible hosts that make you feel at home, if your looking at other options in the area look no further... you won’t be disappointed.

    Craig2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and simple. Everything was great and the host left us snacks and a few beers.

  • To the Andrepont family: Your cabin proved to be the perfect weekend get away for our out of town guests! Inside and out, you didn't miss a thing! Fishing, "carting", kayaking, and grilling on the front porch as you watch the sunset- amazing! Thank you for a very memorable (and much needed) weekend! We will be bringing visitors again soon! • Mind, Body, and Soul- Smoky Mountain is rejuvenating for your mind, body, and soul. Centrally located to family friendly and picturesque scenery in the area, we were able to tour the area with ease. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and everything we could possibly need was provided. Beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Immaculate and welcoming, the cabin and surrounding property felt like home. We were afforded outstanding hospitality by our gracious hosts, waking up to fresh eggs and arriving home to delicious homemade gumbo. Enjoying the beautiful scenery from the spacious porch and the company of the neighborhood puppies was a relaxing way to start the day or end the evening. Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Kristen and Beau, Smoky Mountain is the perfect place for a family vacation.

  • This place was a fabulous experience. The cabin is so quaint and cute especially the decor, the essential oil diffuser, and the welcome. The sprawling property is remarkable and the amenities abound. We enjoyed every bit of our stay at "Smoky Mountain". The attention to detail and the hospitality were amazing. We will not forget our weekend or the "whoppers" we caught, especially the kids.

  • Tony greeted us with fresh coffee and showed us around. The place is quite a project. The cottage where we stayed has been completely renovated while retaining the vintage feel of the house. It was very roomy, comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen included every appliance you could want and there was coffee and cream available, as well as fresh fruit. There was even a clothes washer and dryer (although dryer wasn't hooked up yet). Tony is rehabbing several old cottages, using sustainable methods, and is also planting edibles and native vegetation. Altogether it was a really good experience.

  • Toni et sa femme sont des gens incroyablement gentils et bienveillants. La maison est très propre, jolie et agréable. Nous recommandons grandement ce logement, nous y retournerons. Un lieu enchanteur à découvrir !

  • Wow, what a great cottage! It's one of those places where you wish you could stay a bit longer. The cottage is clearly a labor of love, and it is easy to appreciate what was put into restoring it. Tony was the best host, went above and beyond what I would expect in hospitality. It's a rural area, but plenty of things to keep us busy.

    Quynh2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • thanks for your friendly welcome. The fridge had everything we needed for the first breakfast, even for a good salad on the evening. It felt like home. I will definitely recommend and come back to your place. Love the view on the bayou. Merci.

  • Great detour on the way to New Orleans. Tony is a perfect host. We had a nice dinner at the nearby restaurant too. Would definitely recommend and return myself!

    Jamie2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and his cottage were everything we could have asked for. Tony was incredibly welcoming and solicitous-- he gave us a full, detailed tour of the properties (as about the paint!), shared restaurant recommendations, and even picked up a bag of crawfish for us to have for lunch. And the cottage is perfect: it has an amazingly well-outfitted kitchen, comfy beds, and a perfect little porch overlooking the Teche. We can't wait to go back!

    Rebecca2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bon accueil chaleureux et jolie maison traditionnelle bien rénovée dans un quartier agréable.

    Arnaud2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This house was perfect! We decided to rent the house last minute due to a hurricane approaching New Orleans. Tony responded quickly and could not have been nicer. The house is precious and is perfect for a group or family get away. It's location is right in town so easy access to the grocery, farmer's market and restaurants. It was unanimously decided that we'd definitely return!

Shiny Tiny is designed for folks that enjoy unique and creative spaces, especially interested in the tiny house movement.
The Shiny Tiny is a stationary tiny house on wheels, which was constructed through a 6 week workshop where students learned hands on how to build a tiny house by tiny house expert Art Cormier and architect Francine Primeaux-Kennedy. Sustainable practices were incorporated through-out the construction including wood diverted from the local landfill. A gorgeous hand carved front door by local artist Larry Bourque welcomes each guest to a contemporary light filled cleverly appointed space with painted birch paneling, ample functioning windows and re-purposed pine floors through-out. The living area includes a futon, two chairs and rotating original artwork. The bathroom boasts long grain cedar paneling, a full sized shower. The Shiny Tiny also features a kitchen equipped with a two burner propane stove, refrigerator, coffee press, toaster and microwave oven and a beautiful stainless steel counter-top. You can relax on the porch which overlooks a semi-private lawn with oak trees. Available locally: - Local art work, events, dance, music, potlucks, French tables, quilting, ... around the corner at the NUNU Collective - Private tours available to get a jump start on the local sites, scenes and culture. - Local kayak rentals available The Shiny Tiny was donated to NUNU following a tiny house build which included 12 students, a 501 (c) (3) organization by Winifred and Kevin Reilly. Jule Energy donated solar panels and battery. Electrical materials donated by Teche Electric. Construction and design labor was donated by Art Cormier, Francine Primeaux-Kennedy, Lawrence Guidroz, Larry Bourque and more.
Arnaudville is located at the Junction of Bayous Teche and Fuselier and is perfect for guests that want to be centrally located with easy access to neighboring towns and villages while in a small town setting.

  • George offered his place to Red Cross response workers after the devastating floods in August, at no cost. The place allowed our relief workers to quickly mobilize humanitarian aid, help and hope!!!!

    Jono2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • George was super nice. The place is adorable! Decor was on point! The windows and aframe ceiling make thr place feel bigger. Lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable, ac was nice, and the place was relaxing. It's right across a small sandwich shop that has a great view to bayou teche too. George let me hang out in the cottage next door which had great wifi bc the signal in the shiny tiny was weak. However I bet most people coming to this type of place are going to spend time outside or don't mind not having wifi. I would book this again and highly recommend it. It was a good experience and really fun!

    Liliana2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • George was an excellent host with great communication skills. He filled Us in on great places to go cool things to see and good food to eat. He's an excellent Ambassador for his community, and you would be lucky to stay anywhere he would be hosting. I highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic cultural and artistic experience.

  • So, I'm one of those people who think (from watching TV), that tiny houses are cute and I couldn't wait to stay in one. The Shiny Tiny did not disappoint. It was exactly what I thought it would be, perfect for two people. We spent our day at Bayou Teche Brewery - don't pass up an opportunity to go there, listen to live music, surrounded by good people, drink great beer, and STAY for song trivia - cheers!

    Trinity2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We're big fans of small living spaces and really enjoyed staying in the Shiny Tiny. We loved seeing the design features and how they made the space work. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was surprisingly roomy! The sitting space felt comfortable as well. The location of the house feels a bit exposed with fencing on only the front of the house, and on one side, you are facing the local bar. Given there weren't any curtains, this became a little odd when changing clothes, etc. Despite the Halloween party going on across the street, it was still pretty quiet. We had to get creative to block out the light up in the loft, but it worked out. The local town of Arnaudville is charming and we wished we had been there when everything was open. Perhaps another time! We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again.

    Lindy2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • George and the Tiny House were the highlight of my trip! The space was perfect for 1-3 folks to stay, in walking distance to the downtown area and across the street from a few places to grab a bite to eat. This place and town is really special, wonderful hosts, and kind people who love to spend time loving every minute of life and the people that surround them. Make sure to check out NuNu for some great art pieces and to meet some local artists. I will definitely be returning!

    Emma2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This town is amazing! The community is what made this whole trip. Getting a snow ball with cheesecake in it, going to the brewery and learning about NUNU made the tiny house not too tiny. Get ready for a a very very tiny space but an awesome experience.

Charming bedroom with private personal entrance from backyard, + room adjacent including a futon, and a bathroom, in a charming Victorian Cottage on a quiet street in the Historic district of Opelousas. TV and Wifi connection. Access to a fully equipped kitchen.
Nicely appointed room, adjacent room and private bathroom. Refrigerator, microwave, WiFi connection. Weekly and monthly guests can use my kitchen to prepare meals and tidy up. Breakfast is your choice: You can cook it yourself or I can accommodate with breakfast upon request (extra charge $) to be discussed). Since I am a French native, I can provide a French breakfast with French pancakes.
My cottage is situated in the historic District of Opelousas in a quiet neighborhood, close to a park, close to supermarket, pharmacy, & coffee-shop, 30 minutes from downtown Lafayette, LA.

  • Agnes was a very welcoming host. She made sure that I had the best possible time in Opelousas. I would definitely recommend others to stay at her house while in Opelousas.

  • I had the most wonderful time at Agnes' house. The place was better than the pictures show, inside and out. She was friendly and helpful, she even took me Zydeco dancing! I highly recommend any one coming to Opelousas to stay with Agnes. I was there in July, hot hot hot, and the temperature in the house was perfect, not too hot or too cold! She has a very nicely equipped kitchen, good laundry facility, all in a large house. I will remain in touch with Agnes, an amazing person I now call my friend!

    Laura2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Agnes was one of the best experiences in my travels: she was a gracious and considerate hostess, very knowledgeable about the local history and customs and extremely helpful. The two rooms and bath were very comfortable and nicely appointed, the neighborhood was quiet.. I felt right at home from the minute I walked in. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

  • I spent a truly wonderful time in Agnes' house! The place is just as advertised, clean and quiet. Agnes is a perfect host, a very kind and caring person, and her dogs are lovely. I would have loved to stay there for a longer time. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Opelousas.

I needed some quiet while I was here and it was just as peaceful as I wanted it to be for my personal need. • I was pleasantly surprised at what a relaxing spot this turned out to be. I don't think I had any expectations because I was just looking for something inexpensive near family while I was in town. This blows any cheap motel out of the water for the price point. The home design is gorgeous. Old country meets modern. I wish I had taken pictures! The bathroom kind of sold me. I slept so well on the giant comfortable bed, I'd rent again just to stay in the house and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the city. Especially if it's raining. If you need a place near Lafayette, I'd say skip the motel and stay in the country house. You won't regret it.

    Lacy2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stevie, friends and Mr. Bon (the Australian Shepherd) were great people to stay with. The location is quiet, secluded and peaceful.. The home is a new build Acadian style home built using antique reclaimed cypress. Very Impressive. More impressive is that Stevie and family built it themselves. Good times, great food and better people.

  • If you are looking for authentic surroundings in Cajun country, this is it. Great host, nice surroundings, easy access to Lafayette and Opelousas. It is out of town and quiet. Huge bedroom with attached bath connected to reading room full of books related to the history of the area/Acadian culture. Host was helpful, friendly, laid back and welcoming, without being intrusive. Really enjoyed our two days here.

Bellevue Manor offers short term rentals, BUT we offer discounted monthly or long term rentals or leasing (inquire via email). We also offer the house as an Event Rental for parties and special events. The home was built in 1874 by Professor Rudolf Adelbert Mayer, a noted musician & pupil of composer Richard Wagner. The home has 141 years of history in the heart of Cajun culture. The house can accommodate 10 people comfortably. It has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms nestled on nearly 4 acres.
Bellevue Manor predominately offers short term rentals, BUT we offer discounted monthly or long term rentals or leasing (inquire within). The home is 141 years old furnished with original rare New Orleans antiques. I've personally owned the home since 2006, my extended family lived here since 1874. It is located on nearly 3.7 acres of land with several miniature horses and small barn on the property. The home has 12 foot ceilings, a little over 3,000 square ft. The house has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a library/study, dining room and kitchen. The house sleeps 10 people comfortably, 12 if you choose to use our queen size air mattress per request. The DOWNSTAIRS has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, study/library, living room, dining room and kitchen. The UPSTAIRS has 3 bedrooms, a sitting area and one full bath/shower. Outside has a gas BBQ and 900 sq.-ft. covered patio area. Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino is less than 5 minutes away. The house works out great for folks who don't want to rent several hotel rooms and prefer the option to have family and friends under one roof, like to cook or BBQ with family or friends privately. I've hosted guests who have come to Opelousas for local weddings, bridal groups who need a space to get ready or honeymoon suite, overseas tourists, private parities or used venue rental (priced separately). The home has several miniature ponies on the property, which are a hit with children. The west side of the property that is fenced can support ample parking for large events (about 2 acres). The photos describe which bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs. If you wish to learn more on the history of Bellevue Manor & it's builder you can copy the link below and read the full bio on the builder: Rudolph Adelbert Sebastian Mayer or google his name. He was an accomplished composer, musician, founder of one of the first all woman's brass ensemble in the South, inventor of one of the first pre-civil war breech-loading rifles and inventor of one the first forms of color photography, among other things. Seasonal and weekend rates vary. http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/mayer/805/ SPECIAL EVENTS: The home is ideal for photo shoots, special events, private parties, corporate events and wedding receptions are separate pricing and considered a VENUE RENTAL. WEDDINGS, RECEPTIONS, VOW RENEWALS, PRIVATE/CORPORATE PARTYS, WORK EVENTS ARE CONSIDERED A "SPECIAL EVENT" therefore the rate is the VENUE RENTAL and approved per inquiry ONLY since the price needs to be adjusted on my calendar prior to booking. The VENUE rental rate is $1,800 for the day of the event, which INCLUDES the overnight accommodations for 10-12 only. Any additional nights needed before of after the special event are the standard rental rate of $250/night. For SPECIAL EVENTS/RECEPTIONS we welcome the option to bring in your own caterer and beverages. Decorating, table rentals, outdoor lighting, candles, etc. optional. If you need recommendations, please inquire. EXCEPTIONS: If a bride has already chosen a wedding venue or reception venue elsewhere, BUT the bridal party needs a place for herself and her bridesmaids to get ready and take some photos, we treat this as a standard nightly rental rate, NOT a special event rate, but a TWO-night minimum still applies, but that includes the honeymoon suite and allows a great place to get the bridal party ready and take photos. Family and/or friend gatherings of 20 and under are the regular rate and NOT considered Special Event. Please inquire via email if you have questions. Keep in mind, Airbnb.com does no show your phone numbers or personal email address on booking inquiries, so unfortunately initial inquiries have to me discussed via email. Our base rate is $200-$250 per night, but subject to change depending on the time of year. Guest of 6 or less are the base price. Some seasonal rates MAY apply after 6 guests, which can be $50 per person per night, but depending on the occasion we may wave the additional person rate. I promise you it's still cheaper than multiple hotel rooms, so please understand why this is so.
The home is centrally located to restaurants and Interstate. Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino is less than 5 minutes away. Old and historic neighborhood in the heart of the historic district. It is quiet and safe as I have personally lived here with my own family and children for many years. The historic district is aiming for revitalization, which we are part of. I know most of my neighbors and is been safe area for my own family for many years. Evangeline Downs Race Track & Casino is less than one mile away from the house. "Frank's" a famous local sports bar & and New Orleans style Po-boy sandwich shop is one block away and walking distance on Landry St./Oak St. for sit in or carry out. The Historic Village of Washington is 10 minutes North on 1-49 with a great family restaurant with award-winning seafood called the "The Steamboat Warehouse Restaurant". The village of Washington has loads of antiques shops open Friday-Sunday. The village has a well known restaurant called "The Steamboat Restaurant" which is house in a pre-cival war cotton warehouse (excellent food and vibe). The historic home off Bellevue House is in the historic district 3 blocks from the town square, where one can eat at "Back In Time" or "The Palace Cafe", both restaurants are on Landry St. across from the courthouse square. Vieux Village history museum is 3 blocks away at the Farmer's Market. Have fun and enjoy!
  • AMAZING!!! What an incredible house! You truly step back in time. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed their time here. We wish our schedule allowed us to stay longer. The front parlor and the grand live oak on the front lawn were our favorites. Jonathan was a wonderful host and we would definitely stay again!

  • This place was AMAZING. The home is wonderful and we were in awe with all of the decorations and artifacts. It was kid friendly and very spacious and it had every appliance we could possibly need. We loved it. Johnathan was amazing with communication and making sure everything was in place.

  • Bellevue Manor is a one of a kind home and you should absolutely stay here if you are able. Jonathan was a great host and he has done a wonderful job restoring this historic home. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. Our children loved climbing the tree in the front yard and enjoyed the history of the house. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

  • We hosted a 3 day retreat for a neighboring community organization. Jonathan was very helpful ans checked on us regularly. Our clients were happy with their stay and thought to use it for their family functions. There was plenty space as we worked on different projects with our clients. Thank you.

  • I can't express enough how amazing this place was. And how accommodating Jonathan was. We felt like royalty staying in this house. Not sure if had a better Airbnb experience, and I've been traveling and hosting for 4 years!

  • Jonathan made us, five couples, feel very welcomed to the Victorian Manor House. He answered our questions about the home, and when we sent him a text, he got back to us within minutes. He came by when we needed help with getting the TV ready for Super Bowl. Loved looking at all the antique furnishings, art work, horses and the great old tree in the front yard. The weather was nice so we put the covered patio area to good use. We enjoyed our stay during Mardi Gras.

  • Jonathan and his family are amazing.. you will love it! Life experience in Louisiana!! Relax and Enjoy!!!

    Leonardo2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely the most gracious and delightful 'meet and greet' which was more than expected. Jonathan was a gracious host as the home complimented his love to be 'home.' Experiencing the history and warmth of this Victorian allowed my family to walk back in a time of grandeur. The horses and school house gracefully settled in embrace of an historical live oak was breathtaking. Make a journey....you will enjoy Opelousas, LA at its finest. Thank you Jonathan.

This is a comfortable one bedroom home. Very cute, clean with washing machine/dryer, central air & heat and fully equipped kitchen. Close access to many local restaurants, entertainment and incredible sightseeing destinations.
The cottage itself is very clean with all the comforts of home. 40" Smart TV with access to Netflix and local channels with all major network affiliates. It has a front porch, back deck with seating. WiFi access.
Arnaudville is becoming well know for promoting cajun culture, art and crafts, and a nationally recognized brewery (Bayou Tech Brewery) which features tours and all day live entertainment every Saturday all year long! Nunu's Art & Culture Center which is a very active center with a full calendar of very cool cultural events five days a week (Carpe Diem table francaise, Drum Circle, Yoga classes, featured artist and authors, etc!) We are within minutes of Atchafalya Basin which has a plethora of restaurants, entertainment, swamp tours, fishing guides, etc.. Cajun Palm Resort offers great family fun with water park, dinosaur park, huge swimming pools with pool access tiki bar and more! Acadiana festivals are happening almost weekly in the regional area. Although we have recommended restaurants and sightseeing, there are too many to list, we have so many great places to dine, see entertainment, sightsee, etc..
  • We loved our stay. A pitty we couldn't stay longer. The house was very neat and nice. Randy is an great host.

  • Randy was great about communicating with us and promptly answered any questions we had. The cottage was neat, quiet, and quaint. It was stocked with everything we needed or wanted, we even had a bottle of wine awaiting us!

    Dawn2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's cottage was perfect. We were moving from CA to FL and needed to stay one night and didn't want a hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer. The drive from the highway took you through a cute town and rows of houses with lots of open green space. Randy welcomed us and helped us with parking since we had large moving trailers. The cottage was very comfortable. Beds were nice and comfy and the AC worked really well. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us. Even with only one bathroom it worked out perfect. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. If we are ever in the area and need a place to stay this would be it.

  • Randy and Connie's place is amazing! If I am anywhere close to here again I will stay here. They were quick in answering when I had a question. The scenery is beautiful and I felt very safe staying here. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I have no complaints at all about my stay and am so happy we chose to stay here. Five stars all around!

  • The hosts, Randy and Connie, were very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to keep in contact with me and to accommodate my late arrival. The cottage is clean, comfortable and had everything I needed and a few extras. I was traveling alone and was alone the first night and although it is very private, I felt safe and secure. I was from out of state and needed to be in the area to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my teenage son. Being able to provide him with somewhere that had a home feeling to it and that was comfortable made all the difference, allowing us to enjoy ourselves. Part of that comfortability came from the host and I am very thankful for that. Thank you Randy and Connie!

    Amy2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • A well-appointed, secluded cottage which suited our needs well as we needed to pit-stop overnight and recharge for next day's drive. Keep in mind the cottage has only one bathroom so it might be tricky for larger families (we are a family of eight) used to multiple bathrooms. Our host was responsive and everything we needed was either already-provided or within a short drive. We highly recommend the cottage. Just keep in mind the intended function, e.g. don't expect lively nightlife, bungee-cord jumping, etc. and you'll be fine.

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.
This is a single bedroom log cabin that was built by Amish builders. Materials in the cabin are all wood floors, walls and ceiling. It has that great smell of a cabin in the country. There is internet, an electronic lock on the door, a security system, a table in the den and an iron & ironing board. It has a fully equipped kitchen for preparing a meal. There is a dock over the pond to relax and enjoy the outdoor view.
The cabin sits next to a pond on 5 acres of property. There are trees along the property lines and a dock over the pond to sit and relax. There is a porch on both sides of the cabin.

  • This please is a keeper. Honestly, I wish I could buy it. If you want or need some alone time without being too cut off from the real world; this is the place! Larry was so helpful and the property was so peaceful. Even with the faint music in the distance. If you debating on staying....don't!!! Just do it. You won't be disappointed.

  • Wonderful spot, quiet and peaceful. Larry was warm and welcoming and communicated immediately with all messages. The Shack is clean, comfortable and inviting. We would have stayed longer if we could. We highly recommend this host and home. Hope to be back soon Larry. Good lunch with your big project.

La Solange cottage is a 2 person Jacuzzi cottage that is close to the airport, downtown festivities, churches, shopping, and right off of I-10 and I-49, making it easy to get to wherever you want to be within minutes. Traveling without a vehicle is no issue, Uber is available. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We ha a 2-personJacuzzi, king size bed, flat screen TV, kitchenette, sitting area and a semi-secluded balcony.
The cottage is just the right place for you to relax! Located just off of I-49 with easy access to restaurants and the city, but still far enough away from the city to enjoy the country feel.
  • Great great space!

  • This jacuzzi cottage was such a treat for us! My husband and I stopped after a long day driving and the bed and jacuzzi were exactly what we needed to relax and recover from the long day! The cottage is secluded yet still close to restaurants that locals go to. We had dinner at Prejeans... yum!! Mrs Adrienne was very sweet and keeps the place spotless. We will definitely stay here again! You have to try the jacuzzi! And you'll sleep so peacefully in this bed. Absolutely loved it!

  • Adrienne is a fantastic host!! I surprised my friends with an anniversary trip, and they absolutely loved it. They said it was very quiet like a different realm which is exactly what they needed. They loved the back porch and the tree in the back. Adrienne even left them an anniversary card which made their trip even more special. She communicated with them letting them know she was there if they needed anything. Adrienne even allowed me to go into the cottage and leave some gifts for my friends. I would definitely book with her again! Her hospitality was absolutely amazing!!

  • This place is private and cozy. The hot tub was definitely a plus. The host left us a lovely message that made us feel welcomed on our honeymoon!

The studio is close to the airport, downtown festivities, churches, shopping, and right off of I10 and I49, making it easy to get to wherever you want to be within minutes. Traveling without a vehicle is no issue, Uber is available. You’ll love the comfortable accommodations, your own kitchen--with full-sized stove, and refrigerator, private bathroom (shower only), and private living space. A bonus is the washer/dryer! Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

  • There's truly not enough space here to write this review. First of all, Irma was the perfect host. She allowed me my space but was always there if I had a need for something. She is knowledgeable of Lafayette and well able to advise of venues (food, entertainment and otherwise). Even though Lafayette is technically "home" for me, having lived away for so long, it helped tremendously to have Irma's intel. I gained a friend for sure. The accommodations were as advertised...clean, spacious, organized. There was more than enough food and toiletries! Irma had completely stocked the refrigerator with various eatables. Impressive but also extremely helpful and appreciated. The location is perfect! It's close enough to Lafayette's downtown (car is a must...or utilize Uber) to enjoy all that the city has to offer. But it is also situated in a quiet subdivision...safe and friendly. I highly recommend Irma's place to anyone looking for accommodations in the Lafayette area. What an absolutely incredible gem....person and place.

  • Ima is very welcoming, kind and generous. The studio is well equipped , comfortable & spacious. It had everything you might need including lots of snacks and breakfast items. We really enjoyed our stay. Definitely a 5 stars place.

  • Ima was lovely - she was so helpful with getting things ready for my one year old. Usually traveling with an infant can feel stressful, but with Imas warmth and help it felt like a true vacation. Highly recommended!

    Katherine2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ima is awesome and her place is wonderful. Whether you are staying for a night, or 2 weeks like we did, she will make you feel like you are at home. We had a somewhat fluid schedule and Ima was very accommodating and understanding. She is a wonderful woman and prides herself on her guests having a comfortable stay. The apt is well equipped and even has a crib which came in very handy for us. While it is a studio apartment it is well divided into a bedroom, kitchen/dining, and living space and ws very comfortable. It has all the amenities at home and we never wanted for anything. It felt like a "home away from home" and we were a little sad to leave.

Beautiful 1500 square foot upstairs with private balcony entrance, three private bedrooms, huge kitchen with full-size fridge shared by guests upstairs and living room. This bathroom MAY sometimes be shared with the third room "inspire room". For a private bath, check out the "blue room" at the URL: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6254698
Super quiet, beautiful home just minutes drive from downtown, middle of a quiet city park, great for walking or jogging, with soccer fields and a pond. Big porch that wraps around. Balcony with outdoor seating, soccer field across the street! The bedroom is upstairs with keypad entry (keys not needed) and has dedicated huge full-kitchen & living room upstairs. There are three private bedrooms upstairs but it is rare that both are rented except during busy months. For a room with a PRIVATE bath, check out https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6254698 The bathroom is located one room off the bedroom (meaning walking through the living room). 15% discount for weekly rentals, 30% discount for monthly, for guests who stay longer than one week, they will have access to my washer/dryer by appointment.
The house is in a quiet park on a cul-de-sac street, which means no traffic and quiet neighborhood. There is a soccer field on the other side of Blaine Ln and this neighborhood is cozy and quiet and lots of TREES and nature!
  • A cool place to stay with a great blend of historic and modern feel. Would we stay again...um yes...

  • Wilson's home was absolutely perfect! so close to everything but set back in the beautiful pine trees in a beautiful, safe, hidden little area. Wilson is the guy to know for what to do/eat/where to see music etc in Lafayette and knows how to set up a room to really make people feel comfortable! Beautiful home, wonderful host. The place to stay in Lafayette! thanks heaps Wilson :)

  • Couldn't ask for anything more perfect...very welcoming...clean room, fresh towels and candy, beautiful new kitchenette area, balcony outside, quite neighborhood, and easy access to I-10 to get to all the great things SW Louisiana has to offer. Wilson's Savoy Acadian Suites is the best place to stay in Lafayette. 5+ stars.

    Jill2016-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Notre séjour chez Wilson s'est très bien passé, nous avions tout le haut de la maison pour nous seule. Le quartier est calme est agreable, proche du centre.

  • Quiet neighbourhood next to a park, beautiful room, comfortable bed and great amenities - for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? We really enjoyed our stay at Wilson's place. Would definitely recommend it.

    Andrew2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wilson's apartment was perfect. There is a really comfortable bed with soft sheets and plenty of towels. Everything is newly renovated and squeaky clean. There is a little kitchenette and a hang out area in addition to just the bedroom. We arrived SUPER late and it was no problem getting in and situated. Couldn't have been a more pleasant stay. Location was perfect as well. Just a few minutes from downtown Lafayette. HIGHLY recommend this spot!

This roomy little guest house is perfect for any occasion. We welcome people of all walks, and all colors, and all beliefs, and especially those that also welcoming of all others. Located 2 minutes from I-10, we are right in the middle of the best foods, the best scenery, the best music, and the best hospitality. The residence accommodates only 2 guest but does have space for more. There is a full kitchen, wi-fi, and semi private outdoors with pool.
The property is on the outskirts of Breaux Bridge, LA. Neighborhood has a modern country feel. Properties are around 1 acre allowing plenty of space between homes. Neighborhood is a single street cul-de-sac that ends at Bayou Teche.
  • There were lots of little touches that made this a great stay. The pictures do not do justice to the yard around this guest house. It is truly lovely and in a really quiet neighborhood.
