Neil and his girlfriend were great hosts! We had a quick stop over in Glasgow and their place was perfect for it. Neil gave us an awesome suggestion for a pub. The room is really in the heart of Glasgow. It's an ideal location! They have a young son named Michael, who is adorable. If you don't mind the occasional sounds that babies make then this place is great. If you're looking for a room in the heart of the city for a decent price, look no further!
Very conveniently located flat right in the city center. Completely hassle free host. We had a great time in Glasgow.
We stayed at Neil place for two nights and it was the perfect base for our citytrip. The room is nice and clean, with a private bathroom. The appartment is within walking distance of the city centre and other hotspots of Glasgow. Neil is a friendly host who is up for a talk if you want to.
Neil's apartment is very near the city center, about 15mins walk. He gave us a lot of space and privacy even while we were using his living room and kitchen. Neat and clean room.
Couldn't get a better location for access to Glasgow City, perfect for walking in to all the restaurants, and for George Square. Clean, comforfable and very affordable, and Carla was happy for us to use the toaster in the kitchen to make an early pre-race breakfast! Thanks to Carla and little Michael for their friendliness.
Neil and his lovely family could not be more welcoming. The room was extremely comfortable and it was a most pleasant stay. The location is perfect if you're looking for staying central, but you're only 10 minutes from a train station too.
We recommend. Neil and his family are very helpful and lovely and his apartment is in a very good location.
Neil is friendly and interesting. He was also really flexible about our time arrival and check-in. The room is comfortable, clean and fits with the pictures. The apartment is well located and you can reach the inner city on foot. Therefore do not hesitate.

Zore was easy to deal with and made my stay very pleasant. The location of the property is brilliant in terms of access to Glasgow downtown (including Buchanan Bus Station). The house is a beautiful older house, very clean and tidy, and my room was spacious and comfortable to stay in. I really can't fault Zore or my stay and would recommend staying with Zore for anyone who wants to explore central Glasgow. I would happily stay with Zore again which is probably says it all.
Zore was so nice and friendly and the apartment was perfectly located between the west end and the city centre. I'd definitely go back again!
Flat is very centrally located - just next door to the Glasgow school of arts ! Zore has been very cary - giving me wise advices on where to go for sightseeing,... I can only recommend it !! Yvan
I had a very nice stay with Zore. The room and house are very nice and I felt quite at home. Her home is in a great location that very centre of the city.
I was in Glasgow for a couple of nights for a friend's wedding. Zore was an absolutely lovely host - welcoming and providing tea and cakes! The house is perfectly located - 10min walk from station - and is cosy and warm. Would recommend to anyone coming to the great city of Glasgow. Tom
Perfect for Music / Arts / University interviews! This was my first AirB&B (and very last minute!) and it was a great experience. I came up for an opera audition and needed somewhere to stay at the very last minute. Zoré is a really lovely lady -kind and attentive, and the house is clean, tidy and stylish with lots of original features. It's a VERY quiet area (no traffic noise -the bedroom faces out onto the lovely garden at the back) and you forget you're in the middle of a bustling city. The bedroom has a comfortable bed, high ceilings and plenty of floorspace (perfect for morning yoga etc). The night outside was v cold but I was toasty warm inside (but not too hot -singers are notoriously fussy and this was perfect!) and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. I had a really good nights sleep. Zoré worked around my audition schedule in the morning and didn't mind me warming up my voice in the house, which was very useful! I'll definitely stay here again if I come up!
Zore is a kind, generous, and an altogether wonderful person who very graciously welcomed me, and served me tea as soon as I arrived. Her kindness made me welcome in a very chilly and rainy Glasgow, and for that I sincerely thank her. The neighborhood surrounding her place has many good restaurants (including Saramago, a vegetarian place) and many great music venues (including the performance space at the Glasgow School of Art).
Thank you once again Zore

It was great stay there. Actually I am not good at speaking English so I was worried about staying a foreigner's house. But the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) of host are so kind to me and give me tips for Glasgow. and also the room is perfect. I highly recommend this place if you want to visit around here. Thank you.
Sabrina was an excellent host. She did accommodate me in many ways, including the fact that I had arrived earlier than expected. The apartment and the room was very cozy and quiet and is within a few blocks from downtown Glasgow.
Great location ! Great room ! Sabrina is extremely quick to get back to you if you have any questions or concerns
Sabrina was not there on our arrival but we had an excellent communication over the phone and we easily found the house. There to greet us was Teresa, her roommate, who was really helpful and kind, showed us the apartment and suggested some places we should visit in Glasgow (both historic and nightlife, all nice by the way). The room was big and clean. In general a great experience and we would visit them again. :)
nice and cozy place near the center of Glasgow with a car park nearby!
My stay at Sabrina's was very nice. I arrived 2 hours later than anticipated because my train was late and I missed my connection. So no one that actually lived in the apartment was there, but Sabrina managed to organise a friend who waited for me and let me in, showed me around and then left. Therefore, I spend my short stay alone in the apartment but Sabrina was always available via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) if I had any questions. The room is very big and the bed is comfortable. In the kitchen and the bathroom, you've got everything you need. It is only a 6 minute walk to George Square and about 12 minutes to the shopping street. Just around the corner you've got a supermarket, which was very good. I really liked the apartment and it was really quiet and enjoyable.
My stay at Sabrina's place was fantastic . Sabrina is a friendly and outgoing host who orientated me fully on arrival . The room is as described in a awesome location and opposite a brilliant coffees shop - Papercup . Wonderful !
Very nice host. She welcomed us at the flat and had prepared everything for us. Also good communication beforehand and during our stay. Highly recommended!

Maria has done an amazing job with this apartment. I arrived later than we agreed however she was so kind about it and friendly. The room was exactly as advertised and facilities top notch. The apartment is about a 30min walk (through a park) or 7pound taxi from the city centre. I would have no hesitations in staying here again when I'm back in Glasgow.
Maria was a really welcoming host. Her app is very clean, there a ton of light in the morning and very close in car to Glasgow city center. The bed was great too. I recommand this place and this host
Maria and her husbund we waiting for me when I arrived to welcome me I had a lovely big room which was light and airy with ample wardrobe space. the whole apartment was very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated Maria is very acomodating and even stayed to welcome a guest at 11pm at night Breakfast is not provided but we were allowed to use all the facilities provided - a real home from home
This flat was excellent. Maria was wonderful at helping us from the airport, by calling a taxi for our arrival. Since we arrived early in the morning (before our flat was ready) she and her husband stored our luggage at their own flat and delivered it to ours when ready. The flat was very clean, and very comfortable. I would recommend this flat to anyone!
The room was very clean and well furnished. The host was friendly.
Maria is so nice and her flat almost provide all the staff you need. The flat is also very beautiful and comfortable!

Elisabetta's place was absolutely lovely - the place was clean and really close to the city centre. On top of this, Elisabetta and her flatmate were very welcoming and warm. They invited me out with them, guided me towards the best places to visit around Scotland and Glasgow, and included me in their activities. I left thinking they were the best hosts I've had so far.

The apartment was very nicely appointed and Liliana provided all the basics for us, which we appreciated after getting in late. The apartment has a great layout. The location is amazing! Right in he center of town and very close to both train stations. Liliana and a friend of hers were both very quick to respond to any questions about the apartment. And a friend of hers picked us up at the train station! Great rental.
Myself and my colleague had a really wonderful stay in Lily's apartment. The space was bright, clean, very spacious and well-equipped. The location couldn't have been any better and the accommodation really made our stay there a superb one. Lily was kind enough to give us restaurant suggestions, and also provided us with a bit of food and drink which was such a nice touch. She also checked in on us regularly and was a wonderful host from afar. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment. I would most definitely stay there again and you should too!!!
Booked this apartment late in the evening. The host was prompt to respond to my request booking. Upon arrival we were met and shown round the apartment. The apartment was in very good condition right in the centre of the city. It was clean and even better than was described in the ad. I would recommended this apartment to anyone seeking accommodation in glasgow. ************* HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *************
We stayed in Lilians's apartment for 2 nights in May 2015 and had a lovely experience. This was the most ideal location one could have asked for and a beautiful apartment, just like it is in the photos. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Glasgow.
Had such a great stay at Liliana 's apartment. Was such a big place with plenty of room for 3 adults and my new born baby who comes with a lot of stuff! Great location couldn't have asked for a better stay and was lovely and clean. To top it off we were asked if we needed meeting from the train station. Liliana couldn't have done anymore for us. We would stay there again if we come back to Glasgow Thank you
The flat is very nice and comfortable, there was everything we needed, very well located in the centre and close to all amenities. I would recommend it no doubt.
We were met on time by a friendly Renan who showed us around and had also got us a few essentials in the fridge which was a nice touch. The apartment is very nice and exactly as described and had everything we needed for our stay. The location of the place is amazing, unfortunately we were working all weekend but the little leisure time we had we found ourselves in a great central area of the city.
Liliana was a great host to us during our stay over at her place. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and we were very impressed with the decor. They offered so much help to us during our stay, such as making sure that everything is in working order and even replaced a bed just to make sure that we had enough bed spaces for my group. Thumbs up for the great hospitality you have shown to us and we highly recommend a stay there if you would like somewhere cozy and convenient in Glasgow.

If you like natural wood and a homely feel then you'll like it here. Not much traffic with nice aspects across open space to front. Quirky & cool bearded hipster bars close enough but far enough away to get a good night's rest! Full kitchen & use of stereo. Govanhill is not a typical Scottish area. It is less gentrified than the West End & has more rubbish in the streets. But we love it because it has a hot-pot of diverse communities and ethnicities vibrant cafes, restaurants & shops. Cooler!? Traditional high ceiling bay window with a relaxed homely feel with open aspects out to a shared green-space. Open plan kitchen/sitting room with Art Deco seating to enjoy bay window views or the On-Demand TV or simply plug in your own music. If you enjoy cooking there is an eye level oven, microwave, fancy touch screen hob, Belfast sink, freezer space in hall. There is a fold out table with two chairs for eating at. While relaxing you can enjoy on-demand TV again connected to my stereo - or to keep you awake with your full belly! Switch speakers on in bedroom and relax to your tunes in the solid wooden bed or the old Victorian 'grand-pa' chair with your feet on the bed... The bathroom is probably my favourite space. I went to the bother of installing a rotating bath tap so no arguments on who has to sit at the tap end while enjoying the relaxed wooden features... You'll have access to the whole flat and the shared back garden. I'll vacate the flat for you and make it all tidy and clean. If the weather is nice you could take out the garden furniture and chill in the back garden. I'll give you my mobile number to call me if you have any issues. Quirky, cool, up and coming hipster area with a hotchpotch of cultures from around the world. Even some English... oh and Scottish! Or are we Norwegian?! Its not totally gentrified so if that is what you are looking for then head to the West End. Govanhill has heaps going for it - Boutique Bakery45, authentic Asian food, tattoo parlors (Jagged Edge) , performing arts (Tramway), German style bakery/cafe (Tapa), Social Enterprise cafe hang out (Milk) but does have the odd edgy pubs so as with any visit to a new city it's worth doing your research. When we get dry weather people are outside in the streets in Govanhill debating the world's problems.. its quirky as I said! After loving my time living in Hackney (London) when it was 'up and coming', I'd say it's a similar 'vibe'... it has an edge! If you enjoy going out for drinks then you've got bearded hipster bars (Rum Shack, Alison Arms, Glad Cafe), or Irish bars (Heraghty's), or sporadic folk music in Queen's Park Cafe, or the many scheduled gigs in the social enterprise Glad Cafe, or some bigger names down the road in O2 Academy. If you like a bit of fresh air you can visit Queen's Park with excellent views of the Campsies (Dumgoyne and Earl's Seat) or enjoy free bowls in the sun (it was sunny blue skies today!), or tennis (not sure if it is free) or have a wander round the glass-house and see some interesting animals - I'm afraid they are behind bars. If it's all a bit much you can have a roll about the kids soft play area. The train into town is less than 10 minutes but my choice would be to use the council bike rental scheme where you can pick up a bike close by and cycle into Glasgow via the dedicated bus/cycle lane. Or walk into town in about 20 mins. Or jump on one of any buses less than a minute from flat. Number 4 or 6 direct buses to west end. Fruit and veg and butchers shops are a stone's throw from flat as well as a Lidl, Sainbury's Local and Tesco Metro. There are loads of cafes, pubs/bars close by but not too close by that you can hear any noise from them. Please note - I do require appropriate verification to be registered with Airbnb and as a result I reserve the right to cancel your booking if you don't have any. Sorry about that but it is my home :)leggi altro
Neill was very welcoming and provided great information about his apartment and the surrounding area. Nice and homely apartment with easy access to central Glasgow, we had a really enjoyable time.
It was very nice to stay at Neill's place. He was very friendly and funny :-) He gave us the whole apartment for us to stay, so we had a lot of private time, which was nice too. We would definitely recommend Neill's place to others!
Neil was a great host , great with communication check-in and check- out times , he even took the time to give me a quick tour even though I arrived later than my check -in time
Neill's flat was the perfect place to spend a rainy weekend in Glasgow. Everything was spotlessly clean and we appreciated all the homely little details like natural wooden interiors and Belfast sinks. We especially enjoyed the sound system for playing music in the living room and bedroom. Neill met me in the morning to explain everything and was extremely helpful.
Neill is a gracious host, helpful and generous, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The flat is just as pictured, with all amenities for eating in, cooking if you want, a quiet bedroom in the back, full bath, TV and music options, WiFi-- all the comforts of home. The neighborhood is fine; never felt uncomfortable or like we had to be too careful. And the location can't be beat for convenience-- two nearby business districts with plenty of shops and restaurants, including the best ice cream in town; a big city park; and train and bus stops within a few short blocks. The large bay window that looks out on the street became one of my favorite views-- beautiful light and sky. Neill checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was going ok, and we knew we could contact him whenever if we needed anything. Otherwise he left us to get on with our holiday, which was nice and trusting. I would return to this lovely flat in future, no question, and rent from Neill again in a heartbeat. I fell in love with Glasgow, and owe at least part of that to how easy and delightful Neill and his flat made the whole trip.
Staying in Neills apartment was awesome. It was a pleasure to meet Neill, he is a warm, interesting person, and checking in and all communication was easy. The apartment is comfortable and relaxing to be in, and the area its in is diverse, authentic and interesting, and is close to the central part of Glasgow for easy exploring.
Neill was great. He met us, showed us the apartment in detail and left us with the keys! No complaints whatsoever.
Very supporting man. Nice place to stay. Convenient to get access to local ammeni... very good price.

Welcome to our lovely flat in the West End. We live in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat on a quiet residential street with beautiful shared gardens nearby. Convenient for West End attractions (Kelvingrove Park and Museum, University, Botanic Gardens, cafes/restaurants etc). 10-15 minutes walk to University and Byers Road shops/cafes/bars, 20-30 minutes walk to city centre. 3 minutes walk to frequent bus service to centre. Free on-street parking outside the flat. This is our home - we have been living here for the past 4 years and it is filled with all our things making it homely and inviting. It's a really spacious 2nd floor flat, with a big kitchen/diner and a large living space with traditional bay windows. Our bedroom is light and airy with a big (140x200cm), comfortable double bed. The bathroom is bright with a good powerful shower. There is a bright and spacious kitchen with dining table and fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and washing machine (no dishwasher!). Because we still live here some of the time there are loads of utensils and things to cook with in the kitchen and we'll make sure there's always some shampoo, things to read, and milk in the fridge! We now also have a sofa bed in the lounge for extra guests or if you'd rather not share a bedroom! It's perfect for one and cosy but comfortable for two (113x170cm). Please let us know before arrival if you plan to use it so we can leave out bedding (we have a duvet, pillows and sheets for you to use). We now have a 32" LCD TV in the lounge for guests to use. When you are staying here you will have exclusive use of the whole flat and we want you to feel at home and treat our flat with care as we would :-). We will only interact with you to give you keys and show you how everything works. The space is then yours but one of us will always be nearby if you have any problems. Olivia is from Glasgow and Ross has lived here for 5 years so we both know the city well and can give advice about places to go/things to see or do/where to eat. We live in the West End of Glasgow, which is perfect for the cafe and shopping culture the West End is famous for. Kelvingrove Park and the Botanic Gardens are a ten minute walk away, the busy shopping street of Byres Road is a ten minute walk, and we live five minutes from Great Western Road. While famous for its shopping, cafes, and bars, the West End also has numerous museums such as Kelvingrove Art Gallery; the Tenemant House, Glasgow School of Art and the Riverside Museum are also easy to walk to. The University of Glasgow is 15 minutes walk. Our street is very quiet and residential with traditional sandstone architecture all around. It is possible to walk into the City Centre from the flat, it will take about 20-30 minutes, but we live 5 minutes from Kelvinbridge Underground Station which can easily and cheaply transport you around the city. There are also great bus links on nearby Maryhill and Great Western Roads. There is lots of free on street parking outside the flat if you plan to arrive by car. All in all a great location! The flat is on the 2nd floor of a traditional tenement building (block of 8 flats with a shared stair). There is no elevator/lift.leggi altro
We had a lovely stay in Ross and Olivia's apartment and only wish that we had booked our time there for longer. The West End apartment was perfectly located for exploring all the area has to offer - museums, restaurants, shops, parks and gardens - and we happily relaxed in its peaceful and cozy vibe after hours of sightseeing. Ross was attentive to our inquiries and responded quickly when we reached out to him. The bright, clean, and spacious apartment was equipped with everything one would need for a "home away from home"; the bed and linens were ultra-cosy and the kitchen was stocked with a range of amenities as well as a plethora of herbs and spices. Overall, an excellent stay and a five-star recommendation!
Fantastic place to stay in a great location, good little touches to make you feel at home. Would definitely stay again!
Lovely flat in a great location. Communication and check in process with was super easy. Flat has everything we needed, highly recommend!
A wonderful stay in a warm, welcoming flat.
We had such a relaxing stay in Ross and Olivia's apartment. It was such a beautiful space with everything we needed for our stay. Perfect base for venturing into central Glasgow and exploring the West end. Loved our stay and we hope to go back soon!
Our hosts made us feel very welcome. The description was very accurate and the area quiet residential, but close to transport, shops and amenities. Many thanks to Ross and Olivia for letting us use their lovely home. Visiting family we had great space to have visitors . Lots of interest round about and good for walking with pram and visits to cafes, shops and Botanic Gardens. Also easy access to city centre. Thanks so much again.
The apartment was exactly as described - bright and spacious, and tastefully decorated. Felt like home away from home, and the whole place is so functional and clean. The bed was super comfortable, cosy, and warm. Really appreciated the breakfast foods available, and Ross' recommendations for exploring and dining were on point! Excellent library, by the way!
Ross met us at the apartment and showed us the important details. Nice, clean accommodation away from the tourist area but close to public transportation. The grocery store was easy to walk to. Enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is on the second floor with no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for is.

Excellent place with beautiful surroundings. It was a great experience at vicki's. would highly recommend!
Vicki was a wonderful host with a beautiful home and riverside deck where we enjoyed tea and cake upon arrival. A wonderful breakfast which included eggs from her very own chickens was delightful! I would surely return!
Sita & Coen
Vicky has a very nice house. Nice decorated ...you feel right at home. She allows her guest to sit in her own living room (with a fire place) en you may use her kitchen (for coffee or thee) as well! I'm sure the terraces are great but the weather was too cold when we where here in April. The room and was very comfortable. Ours had a separate bathroom which was fully equipped. Her breakfast is fabulous! Every thing you wish for a breakfast ....she offers.... There is a pub up the hill where you can eat and drink. Do try there mushroom soup if they offer it. Vicky give great tips on how to drive thru or visit Loch Lomond park. Great environment not far from her house.
Just perfect! Vicki was very friendly and helpful, the house and room were beautiful and the breakfast was great! What more to say? maybe that we didn't see the otters, oh well this means that we'll have to return one day (and stay longer!)
Vicki made me a pot of tea and provided some nice biscuits and cake and fruit when I arrived. The house was exactly how it was pictured with the river sounds. Great breakfasts and good company in the evenings-friendly and homely.
Vickie was a fantastic host that flattered us with a glass of wine and a piece of cake at our arrival. The house is lovely place with an incredible balcony on a river. Breakfast was really very good. Thoroughly recommended!!
Vicky is one of the most cheerful people you'll ever encounter. She has he most two beautiful dogs I've ever seen. 2 chickens and another dog (in a body of a cat) called missy. She lives with Princess Daisy (her 2 year old Daughter), a rascal that is a lot of fun! The house is unbelivably charming and the bedroom is excelent. Wifi signal is good. The village (croftamie) is very nice, and near a ton of places. Loch Lomond is a walk away from her house. The breakfest is the best I have ever had!

Consigliamo l'esperienza a tutti :)
Kris is an awesome host who was very patient with the explanation of facilities etc. Homed with a extremely friendly dog! The rooftop view is Super fantastic and you can chill or relax on the couch on the rooftop! Highly recommended!
I can honestly say that stay in Arita&Kristaps's house was BEST accommodation. Not only was the apartment in a great location a close ride to the center of Glasgow, but everything in the apartment was up to the highest standard. my experience was as I expected it to be: the room was ideal, with en-suite shower and with nice roof terrace, self catering breakfast, wi-fi was very quick as well! , and I left early feeling refreshed and ready for my day. Thanks so much Arita& Kristaps!
Wonderful stay at Arita and Kristaps place :) Arita is super friendly and helpful, the room is as seen in the photo, and really quiet. The location is, as said, ideal to reach central glasgow by foot. You can go there with your eyes closed :)
That was a superb stay. Arita is very kind, welcoming, warm, and gave us a lot of helpful information. I recommend this listing. Thanks Arita!
Arita and Kristaps were very helpful and attentive in arranging my access to the room at an unusual time. The apartment and the room were very well presented, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent if you want to be close to everything Glasgow city centre has to offer, but the situation on the 6th floor makes it a quiet place to rest!

Arlene was a fantastic host. She met us on arrival and gave us a tour of her beautiful home. The house itself is even more impressive in person. Everything about the house surpassed expectations. The house is in a beautiful neighbourhood, with the lovely Queen's Park right opposite. We were also given restaurant recommendations and were told how to find our way around the neighbourhood. We felt very comfortable in her home, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Arlene is a delightful hostess, very responsive, welcoming, and had great suggestions for restaurants, groceries, etc. everything was very clean and well appointed. The setting is quite beautiful, private and secure, across from a large park, and within easy walking distance to train stations.
What can I say about this STUNNING location and amazing host that has not already been said? The Church is an incredible almost surreal place to stay. Its lofty ceilings and exquisite decor are decadent. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is gourmet, and the bathrooms are a slice of paradise. From this location you are a 10 second walk from one of the most gorgeous parks in all of Glasgow (Queens Park is directly across the street), a 5 minute walk to the train station and the trendy shops and restaurants of the south side, and a 10-12 minute train ride to Glasgow Central Station, connecting you to every neighbourhood in the city and every town and city in the Scotland by ScotRail. Getting anywhere from the Church is quick, easy and efficient (you can basically walk anywhere, too - a gentle stride for 30-45 minutes and you'll be in most places in central Glasgow by foot). None of this even matters when compared to the generosity and awesomeness of Arelene. Staying here is like visiting a best friend for life. You will not have a better or more attentive host. Arlene leaves her home very clean and very finely appointed for even the fussiest of traveller. If you stay here... you will be glad you did so... and when you stay here.... you will be sad to say goodbye. This truly is the very best vantage point to enjoy and explore everything that this incredible city has to offer!!
Arlene, thank you for making us feel so at home. Your home is stunning and we really didn't want to even go out ... But thought we should get around Glasgow a bit. We absolutely loved our time in your church conversion so beautiful and relaxing.
A lovely, spacious house that made an ideal base for seeing Glasgow, and just a few minutes from the city centre by train.
The place is lovely and perfect location for access to Glasgow. Arlene was so helpful, we had ana accident on the way to Glasgow and Arlene met the car people and gave them my keys... A godsend! Thanks again
The house is absolutely beautiful and my family really relaxed and enjoyed their stay. We would absolutely want to stay there again in the future. Arlene was very helpful and welcoming. Really recommend this place!
Arlene was really helpful, and we loved the place, very grand and was perfect place for us to 'host' our cousins flying in from Canada :)

Alan and Richard were great hosts - friendly and helpful. The room is quiet and comfortable and the apartment has a great balcony over the river. We felt really comfortable and relaxed and enjoyed chatting to Alan and Richard over a kindly offered breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a visit to anyone.
Absolutely fantastic! Really made to feel welcome. Beautiful place. Pictures don't do it justice. Already planning my next trip.
Second time staying here - always excellent.
Great apartment, great location, excellent breakfast with fresh fruit. Alan and Richard were very welcoming and helpful. The view over the Clyde from the balcony is awesome.
The stay was great! To be honest when we booked it I didn't realise it was a room not the whole place but the fact it was a roomadw no difference When we saw Alan it was only a pleasant experience and he even provided breakfast which was a welcome unexpected added extra We had a great time in Glasgow and Alan (Richard was away) was a big part of that- we will definitely revisit him if we go back to glaagow
Alan & Richard made us feel entirely welcome and at home. The accommodation was as described, a beautiful apartment. The location was perfect, with public transit right outside and within walking distance of Argyll St. and the city centre if you enjoy a good walk. Highly recommended.
A stunning place to stay, a great location and excellent hosts. We couldn't have chosen better.
We really enjoyed our stay with Alan and Richard. Their home is very nice and was perfectly located for our trip to Glasgow. They were very welcoming and super friendly and we certainly enjoyed some insider advice for restaurants and bars. Great hosts and great place to stay!

Gorgeous apartment in the heart of Glasgow's vibrant west end. We've done all we can to make this bright, spacious flat a fantastic place to stay - combining a touch of retro style and elegance with great coffee, a big comfy bed and a power shower. Everything has been done to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The interior has been recently refurbished - given a grace and elegance appropriate to this landmark building designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson in 1865. But with a touch of retro-styling and quirkiness. The living room is bright and spacious with high ceilings, ornate cornicing, a marble fireplace and large sash windows which let in lots of light. There's plenty of room to relax, eat, cook, watch TV or listen to music. There's a HD TV and DVD player and you'll find a selection of DVDs, books, games and guide books. There's an iPhone dock. And plenty of cushions and throws. So please feel free to get comfy and put your feet up. The flat is centrally heated. It warms up quickly and it's easy to adjust the temperature to suit you. The kitchen has everything you'll need: dishwasher, combined oven/grill/microwave, an induction hob and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. There's plenty of crockery, glasses and utensils so you can use whatever you like and just pop it in the dishwasher. No need to keep washing up. There's a range of herbs, spices, oils etc so if you're planning to cook you should only need to buy main ingredients. There's a range of tea bags and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine to start you off. Help yourself to muesli, porridge and cornflakes. You'll find milk in the fridge when you arrive. The sofa easily converts to a double sofa-bed with feather duvet and pillows stored inside. The shutters can be closed to keep in the warmth and keep out the light. The bedroom has a sturdy kingsize bed with a memory foam mattress topper. Feather duvet and pillows - If you're allergic let me know and we'll replace them. The full-length curtains are thermal-lined and the shutters can be closed too. The bedside lights can be switched on and off with just the touch of a hand. In the tall chest of drawers you'll find a hair-dryer. The wardrobe has plenty of wooden hangers and space to store your luggage. The bathroom is bright and fresh with a good-sized bath and a powerful shower with constant hot water. There are white fluffy towels. Hand-wash, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. A socket for a shaver or toothbrush. A big mirror. Plenty of light, hooks and places to put your things. There's even a toilet seat that closes on its own. Well almost. You just have to start it off. In the hall there's a full-length mirror, hooks for jackets, plenty of space to kick off your shoes. And a cupboard that houses a washer/dryer, iron, ironing board etc. There's also a drying rack that fits above the bath. In the hall you'll find movement sensitive night-lights to guide you if you need to get up in the night. I have only been on AirBnb since the beginning of February and am amazed at how many bookings I've had already. If you're interested in staying at my apartment please get in touch as it seems to be booking up fast. You will have exclusive use of the apartment during your stay. The apartment is on the ground floor of a four story terraced house that has been converted in to four flats. The neighbours are all very friendly. The flat is all on one level but there is a step up in to the living room and four steps up to the main entrance. The check out time is by 11.00 am and check in time is after 3.00. I shall be as accommodating as possible so please ask if you would prefer a different time. The closest underground is Kelvinbridge. Only three stops from the city centre. The station is a approximately a 5 minute walk (I can do it in 3 if I'm rushed) but it will probably take you a bit longer if you're a slow walker or you've got luggage. Buses go along Gibson St, University Ave and Great Western Rd where it's also fairly easy to pick up a taxi. This is a great place to explore Glasgow from. If you want to go further afield, less than 10 minutes on the Underground will get you within an easy walk of Central and Queen St Stations and Buchanan St Bus Station. Parking in Hillhead is largely for residents with permits. However, there is a limited number of metred parking spaces on the next block and in the surrounding streets. Parking is free in the adjoining areas (North Kelvinside and Dowanhill) so if you're coming by car you could drop off your luggage, go and park and walk back. If you're planning to do that let me know and I'll give you directions. I live next door. I'm happy to pop in to give you any help you might need or recommend places to visit but I appreciate that you may prefer to be left alone to enjoy your stay without interruption. Once I've checked that everything is okay for you I will leave you to enjoy your stay and trust that you will let me know if you need any help. You'll find easy to follow instructions for anything that may need them. I work full-time so I have a friend who will have the place looking gorgeous for your arrival. Vibrant and bohemian. Right in the heart of the bustling, fashionable west end. With more of an eclectic multi-cultural vibe than some of the other areas, Hillhead, home to Glasgow University, is popular with students and academics. But you'll also find plenty of artists, writers, musicians and other generally creative liberal types here too. The local shops around the corner on Great Western Road reflect this. We have Roots and Fruits, a wholefood deli, florist and greengrocers. Purveyors of such delicacies as dirty carrots, alfalfa sprouts and heritage root beer. Pop in to Cottonrake Bakery for a warm sourdough loaf or pick up a box of delicate Raspberry Frangipanes for afternoon tea. All baked in-store. The Glasgow Vintage Company is a 2 storey dressing-up box of bargains for anyone - men and women - looking for something quirky and unique. Valhalla's Goat stocks craft beer and organic wine in case you fancy indulging without the hangover. Mellis, a speciality cheese shop is famously queued round the block at Christmas. Such is the draw of it's Isle of Mull Cheddar. Cook has delicious chef-made meals to take home and enjoy. The staff are great. As are there Lamb Tagines and Sticky Toffee Puddings. For general supplies there's the Co-Op Supermarket. Small but perfectly stocked. And open from early till late. Round the corner in Otago Street more vintage clothing from Retro and browsable mid-century furnishings from Authentics. You might see Paul or Robert out on the steps polishing-up their latest find. They're always up for a chat. If you're a music lover you'll love CC Music Shop. If you want to stretch out drop in to Otago Steet Pilates for a class with Rhona and her team. Tchai-Ovna serves up to 100 different types of tea, exhibitions and live music from an old stables in Otago Lane. Round in Bank Street Rajous's convenience store is hard to miss. He pipes funk, soul or jazz in to the street. His samosas are hard to beat. As is his smile and his fine line in jovial banter. In Gibson Street Stravaigin goes head to head with The Left Bank to see who can be the best gastro-pub in town. Artisan Roast serves up its own award-wining coffee with local, organic, vegan and gluten free delights. As achingly cool as it's warm and welcoming. Family run Eusebi Deli is a relatively new addition to the area. But they have been welcomed with open arms ... and mouths. For a bit of culture head to the Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum and visit the home of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Before heading north along the river to The Botanic Gardens stop off under the bridge for a pint of cask ale and a stone-baked pizza at Inn Deep. Check out their Stag in a Kilt mural or just hang out on their terrace and watch the world and his dog go by. All this ... and more ... is within just 500 yards of your front door. A short walk over the hill takes you to Byres Rd and the lanes: Cresswell, Ashton and Ruthven, for more shopping and nightlife. There's even a wee cinema with couches for two! Take a wander along the Kelvin Walkway in to Kelvingrove Park towards the world-renowned Kelvingrove Museum. Famous for its magnificent organ. (Yes really!) Or head towards Finnieston for an eclectic selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Favourites include The Gannett for fine Scottish dining. And The Steamie with its over-sized tea cups which take two hands to lift. Its old-school workbench counter is laden with thick doorstop slices of home-made cakes. I can vouch for the Lemon and Poppy seed and the delicious Iced Gingerbread. That's probably enough to give you a sense of what my pure dead brilliant amazing neighbourhood has to offer! If you'd like to come and stay I'd love to hear from you so please get in touch. The closest underground is Kelvinbridge. Only three stops from Buchanan St in the city centre. The station is approximately a 5 minute walk (I can do it in 3 if I'm rushed) but it will probably take you a bit longer if you're a slow walker or you've got luggage. Buses go in to town along Gibson St, University Ave and Great Western Rd where it's also fairly easy to pick up a taxi. This is a great place to explore Glasgow from. If you want to go further afield you can even get a bus to Oban from the end of the street. Parking in Hillhead is largely for residents with permits. However, there is a limited number of metred parking spaces on the next block and in the surrounding streets. Parking is free in the adjoining areas: North Kelvinside and Dowanhill. So if you're coming by car you could drop off your luggage, drive to find a parking space and walk back. If you're planning to do that let me know and I'll give you directions. I've written a manual to help make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible. It tells you simply and clearly where everything is and how it all works. I've included emergency contact numbers, directions to the nearest chemist, what to do when checking out, Wifi password etc. I thought about posting it here but it's a pretty dry read so I'm not going to subject you to that ... yet!! That said if you would like to peruse it at your leisure before you arrive just let me know when you book and I'll email you a copy.leggi altro
Caroline's apartment is spacious warm and welcoming. Everything you need is laid out in a thoughtful manner. The location is excellent, just off a high street and in the centre of Glasgow university precinct.
From the moment we booked the apartment Caroline made us feel most welcome. The flat was perfect accommodation for two single middle aged women travelling from Australia it was well located in a quiet street, but in the heart of the groovy West End. It was well e quipped, simply but stylishly decorated and very comfortable. Thank you Caroline.
Caroline's flat is exactly as advertised - beautifully decorated and she has thought of everything, even leaving us things for breakfast which made our stay very easy. The flat is in a great location for exploring the city and I would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Caroline!
The flat is really nice and comfy and also well located.
We had an amazing adventure in Glasgow. The flat was the perfect location to walk to stores, restaurants, pubs, and parks. The university and museum are blocks away. We had a car and had help finding a place to park for a small fee. The host Caroline was very helpful by answering questions for places to visit and hike. I was very happy with the flat and the convenience. If I return to Glasgow, I was check and see if this flat is available again. Very pleased.
We loved this apartment! Great location and very thoughtfully designed. Caroline was incredibly thorough and responsive.
Gorgeous interior - Vibrant westend is a typical example of an Airbnb property then it cannot be praised highly enough. The apartment was stunning in every aspect, and every possible care was taken to provide guests with a virtual home from home. Caroline the owner was charming and able to answer any questions with regard to local amenities. We were so thrilled with the apartment and honestly cannot suggest any improvements. I think if there was anything required on those lines that the owner Caroline would be ahead of the game.
Fabulous apartment in a really great part of town. Nice walk to restaurants, bars and museums. Lots of great touches in the apartment to that made it a very comfortable stay. Would love to return sometime soon!

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers & business travellers. If you like being bang in the centre of all the action, then this is the place! With gigantic windows over the busiest clubbing street in the city, there is always plenty to see! The heart of the city is a bustling, vibrant and busy place - if you're a very light sleeper, this may not be the best place for you. However, we do provide ear plugs and a white noise machine to help guests get a good night's sleep. With gorgeous big Victorian windows overlooking the Glasgow School of Art, this is a really unique place to stay. It's a busy street, so don't expect silence at night - rather, this is like being in a city that never sleeps! We have just renovated the whole flat, painting it in Farrow and Ball colours and installing a brand-new Ikea kitchen with all-new appliances. With super-soft cotton bedding and a snuggly duvet, it's a great place to rest your head after a busy day (and night!) out. All of it! My husband James and I will be on hand throughout your stay if you have any questions or concerns, or just want some tips about places to check out! We're in a fantastic central location a fifteen-minute walk from George Square and about ten minutes from the West End, so we're pretty handy for most things you would want to see and do in Glasgow, be it the School of Art, Kelvingrove Museum, shopping on Buchanan Street or going for drinks in the Merchant City. We go out for dinner a lot so do ask us if you'd like a recommendation, or for us to book a table somewhere for you! You can walk pretty much everywhere from here - it's about a ten-minute walk from Buchanan bus station, about fifteen minutes from Glasgow Central train station and is close to several bus routes too. There is also the option of Uber for getting to and from the airport - it normally only costs around £15-20. If you have trouble sleeping, we do supply earplugs and a white noise machine - however, it should be noted that without either of these, the street noise can be quite disruptive so unless you are used to sleeping in a city environment you may struggle with this.leggi altro
We were met at the flat and shown around, the location is first class and the flat iteslf is excellent. Very comfortable and you could not ask for better in the center of Glasgow. We had a great time there and look forward to staying there again. The location is perfect for anyhting you need in Glasgow, beautiful lounge and a great bedroom, although we never cooked ther kitchen was superb with everything you would expect and great quality.
We had a lovely stay at Stephanie's flat, she and her husband were so accommodating, flexible with our check in and check out allowing us to have a proper little holiday. The flat is gorgeous and in a perfect location for restaurants and bars, in the city centre but remarkably not too noisy. The kitchen was perfectly equipped too enabling you to cook properly and easily. Definitely recommend this gorgeous flat.
I used the apartment as a filming space and feel it was perfect. I was using the apartment as a therapy office scene but feel the it would be great for a number of settings. Stephanie was a great host with a beautiful apartment and both cast and crew were sad to leave.
We had really nice stay at Stephanie place. The flat was clean and it is in walking distance to center. All necessary information were written around the flat so it is easy to orientate. The pictures are exactly the same as it is. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you Stephanie and James for our lovely stay! :) the hosts were very accommodating and the place was even better than the photos! We followed their local tips and would definitely recommend! Once again, thank you!
Stephanie and James are fantastic hosts. The apartment is amazing – exactly as in the pictures with the most amazing windows. Very spacious and well decorated. Everything was comfortable! Plus Stephanie left us a bottle of wine and made sure we had fresh milk for tea in the morning. So lovely. The key handover process was very easy and Stephanie was very responsive to texts when my departure plans changed slightly. Absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend for a wonderful stay in this great city.

This apartment is in a fantastic location in Glasgow, we had travelled up to see my brother's final degree show, as he was graduating from GSA, and couldn't believe it when we discovered we were staying opposite the show. It is close to the train station and within a short walk of some very trendy bars. There is also a small tesco on the corner which is really handy for any food/drink items. It is really spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The host was really easy to communicate with and very helpful in answering all my questions. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend staying here.
The flat is very spacious and perfect location for the various restaurants and bars around Merchant City. We found it well appointed and clean. We will certainly use it again when next in the area.
Great apartment and great location! we loved it! Rooms are all spacious and 2 bathrooms was great for 6 girls getting ready! The host was always quick to respond on any queries and very helpful :) 10/10
Just come home from an amazing weekend away in Glasgow staying at this apartment. The hosts were excellent- kept in touch throughout the whole weekend, gave us plenty of instructions for getting in and about the apartment itself making it so easy for us to get there, get in and make ourselves at home! The apartment itself was beautiful, so clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. It's in a great location and easy to find. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you so much!
The apartment was fantastic, even better than the pictures showed and the fact that there was parking available was a massive plus point. The location was fine and central with everywhere that we needed to go within walking distance or a short taxi journey away. I would happily stay again and will most likely be my first port of call then next time I'm in Glasgow.
Everything was perfect. Very central and lovely and quiet as well. Would recommend to friends.
Great location - really close to Merchant City. Lovely spacious flat. Clear instructions on accessing property and car park.
A beautiful apartment in merchant city, it's great location as there's a Tesco right under it. Not a far walk from anything and the parking spot is very convenient. Rooms are clean and comfy, living room and open kitchen is very fit for family. I gotta say I love the sofa I'd prefer sleeping on it than the already very comfortable bed : ) it's funny that there's a wii in the living room tho I didn't have the chance to play with it. Everything is great and when there is a problem the host arranged someone trying to fix it and offered us discount : ) it was a very nice experience, thank you very much and happy Chinese new year from all of us! Prime Location. This stylish flat has a cosy cottage-like feel on a quiet leafy street with access through the garden. It is next to the University, Kelvingrove, Botanics and a 3min walk to Byres Road with cafes, bars, supermarkets and Hillhead Tube. This is a rare property to find in such a great location. It has the feel of a cottage; entry through the private garden, low ceilings and solid oak flooring. It has been refurbished to a high standard with the furniture and fittings giving the space a bright contemporary feel. With one bedroom and a second double fold-down Habitat sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area this apartment can sleep 4. Guests have access to the whole flat including the private garden. I've stayed at Ruby's apartment twice now and it's just a gem. A home away from home, actually. Perfectly located and has all that you need to make for a comfortable stay.
Our stay was amazing. The host was incredibly helpful and stylish! The apartment is even more beautiful than the pictures, and the location is perfect. A really lovely experience!!!!
We loved staying in Ruby's flat, and would happily stay here again if we returned to Glasgow. The flat is perfectly situated close to many restaurants, trendy nightlife, supermarkets, and public transport. The area felt very safe. Three of us stayed in the flat (with one staying on the sofabed), and all of us were comfortable throughout our stay. The flat itself is spotless, and decorated beautifully. Ruby was also lovely and helpful, and it was very easy to arrange everything with her. Would definitely recommend!
What a great little flat right in the heart of Glasgow, which was perfect for our New Years plans. The flat itself is cute and cosy making you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. The host is also fantastic Ruby made us feel very welcome and there was even coffee and breakfast in the cupboards for us. Would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Glasgow for a luxury and cosy little apartment.
My parents and I had a great stay at Ruby's flat! Her place is really cute, and getting to use the garden on a sunny day was wonderful! The flat is nicely located to many shops, restaurants and close to the university. We had fun wandering around the west end. Ruby was a great host, and I would recommend her flat to anyone staying in Glasgow.
Ruby was great - very helpful and welcoming - location was perfect for me - close to everything yet offered some tranquility from big city madness! Lots of bits that you never actually thought you needed but you really so did. Definitely be back soon and great to have your own peaceful garden amongst some beautiful old buildings, so close to Botanical Gardens and Byres road.
Beautiful apartment with garden set in a great location, perfect for a night out in Glasgow
Ruby was so helpful and friendly answering my many queries before our stay. The flat is perfectly situated in a lovely area of Glasgow and it was lovely - and immaculately clean! I only wished I could have stayed longer. Thanks again for everything Ruby.

Charming Victorian Period flat, with designer features but all the modern comforts of a home from home. This newly re-furbished apartment has three new and very comfortable double beds, one with en-suite shower room. All bedrooms and the living room have a flatscreen TV/DVD. The fully equipped kitchen is brand new, with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. There is a separate sitting room with sofa and chairs to relax, and an iPod dock/speaker, which is also a charger. The central heating gives instant hot water, and there is everything you would expect in a home away from home, I have just installed super fast fibre optic wireless broadband, so you can enjoy internet access and emails while you are staying. The username and password are given in the instruction manual once your booking is confirmed. Fresh bedding and towels are provided as standard. Please note that the price is 99GBP for the first guest, with a modest 12GBP additional charge for every subsequent guest up to a maximum of six guests. This is to cover cleaning, laundry and utilities. Located near to Charing Cross, and very close to Glasgow University, It is almost on the edge of Kelvingrove Park with its Art Gallery. Nearby Gibson Street has endless bars, cafes and late night shops. Byres Road with its restaurants, shops and Waitrose supermarket is an easy walk. Kelvinbridge underground will whisk you into the centre in minutes, but there are also lots of buses and taxis which are quite affordable in this small city. Please note that as I live in London, you will be given the keys by a friend who lives close by, or the Housekeeper, Jacqueline. A word about check in/out. You must check out by 11 am at the very latest. Check OUT is very simple, as you you just post the last set of keys through the letterbox when you leave, and send me a quick message to say that the flat is ready for the housekeeper to service. For check in, we will always try to be flexible, and try to meet your arrival time, but do please ask if you think you are likely to arrive particularly late or early. If there is a departing guest on your arrival day, we will need enough time to service the flat before we let you in. This will usually be after 2.30 pm. As the key holder has to be on stand-by, it is extremely important that you arrive at the arranged time, so that he or she is not left waiting endlessly. If you are delayed for any reason, please be courteous and let them know as soon as you can. Once you have a confirmed booking, you will have access to their number and email, so that you can contact them directly. Parking in Glasgow - it's never simple. I usually have a car when I am up, and here's what I know. Free parking first. There is a little lane just behind the school opposite. If you can get in there it's free. I usually manage this. Alternatively there is free parking on the other side of Great Western Road in Belmont Street. This is a six minute walk from the flat. A little patience will usually get you a space. Then there is the park and ride at Kelvinbridge Underground station. If you are using the underground a whole day's parking costs 5 pounds, and you can leave the car there until 11. 30 pm, when the car park auto-locks. I think you can leave the vehicle overnight for free if you are sure you will not need it until 8 am the next morning. 2 mins walk from the flat. Parking in a metered space is easy and not too expensive - you pay from 8 am to 6 pm, then it's free. It is not ridiculously expensive, and you pay at a meter. I have never yet had to resort to this, but there are always spaces to be had. In short, you will always be able to park, but may occasionally have to pay. I tried for a parking permit, but it is not transferable to another car so of no use to me or my guests. Hope that is some help. The whole Flat, and all its amenities. I am always contactable by text or email, and the housekeeper lives very near, and can be contacted in case of emergency. This tiny pocket of the West End is just the best. Literally a few steps away are the shops, cafés, bars and restaurants of Gibson Street, yet the flat itself is quiet, and benefits from great natural light, thanks to the fact that there are no flats on the opposite side of the street, just a rather chic new modern-designed school. The location in on the edge of Kelvingrove park, with its museum and Art Gallery, and ten paces from Glasgow University, with its beautiful architecture, and Hunterian Museum. Also Nearby in A Neo-Classical Church, and The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House - a must-see for any visitor. The best thing is that you can walk to Byres Road, or into the town Centre, via Charing Cross. However transport is amazing. There are buses from nearby Gibson Street, the underground is a mere 4 mintes walk, and in four stops will whisk you into the City Centre. Taxis are also remarkably affordable, and arrive very quickly thanks to a central telephone booking system. Just call (phone number hidden). They can also be booked in advance for airport or train departures.leggi altro
We stayed for a weekend at Allen's flat and, although he wasn't there in person, his housekeeper was truly welcoming and was even waiting outside the flat for us in case we didn't know which buzzer to use! The flat itself if fabulously decorated and very well equipped The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Finally the location itself is excellent as it is right in the heart of the west-end, within walking distance to the centre of town and just round the corner from Gibson street which has a couple of excellent bars/restaurants. Thanks for a lovely stay!
We really enjoy our stay. The apartment was very nice, clean & well decorated. It was even bigger than we expected.
We were completely comfortable and everything was just as described, lovely. Mornings started out with the 2 minute walk to the coffee house. Wonderful restaurants were within an easy walk and the neighborhood was charming. Cabs were easy to catch.
We had a one day meeting at Glasgow University. It was almost next door and we found a great place for dinner right next to it, so perfect location.
Allan's flat is a perfect base from which to explore Glasgow and all it has to offer. The location is walkable and really close to transit if that is your preference. There are numerous things to do including hanging out at the bar when the weather is crappy(which it often is),shopping, culture and fantastic restaurants. The flat is equipped with all you should need and the building secure .
Allan's flat is cozy, beautifully appointed and clean. The communication with Allan was prompt and easy and his housekeeper Tracey was there to meet us upon arrival. The location of the flat near the university was very nice and there are some good little places to eat just nearby (try Hanoi Bike Shop just around the corner for some delicious Vietnamese in a hip atmosphere). The flat is on the first floor and there is no lift so you have to manage your bags up the external steps and then one flight of steps inside but this was alright and Tracey helped us. This is a really nice apartment, elegant and stylish and warm (important on those windy and rainy Glasgow days!) :). I'd easily go back and highly recommend it to others.
A spotlessly clean and comfortable flat in a great location. Communications with Allan and his housekeeper Tracey were excellent. Our grown up family stayed for the weekend and had a fantastic time - although the kitchen and dining spaces were modest the sitting room is a great space for socialising. The listing is accurate and we highly recommend the flat. (We were unlucky with parking and left our car a 10 minute walk away. This wasn't a problem for us but worth mentioning for those with mobility issues).

Glasgow University, Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Rennie MacIntosh House, all less than 10 min walk, beautiful parks, river walks and restaurants, cafes etc just outside. Queen Margaret Dr is the Botanical Gardens part of Byres Rd. Period Victorian Apartment with two large double bedrooms, bay windowed lounge. Edwardian shower and bath. Cable broadband. Above two really good Italian cafes and views of the Botanical Gardens. Kelvin River scenic walk right outside, but only mins walk from all the restaurants, bars and cafes in Glasgow's West End. The apartment is yours, and yours alone. I live round the corner. I will meet you, give you the keys, a map, a wee introduction to some of the hiddens gems nearby. (Most of them discovered by guests, have to admit.) Cuppa tea, quick tour of the apartment (it's only two bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, kitchen, so it's a pretty quick tour.) After that, you can contact me ANY time, 'bout anything, if I don't know (probably won't) I can find out, no worries. Queen Margaret Drive is the same street as Byres Rd, a friendly little community with a lot of cafes, craft shops and everything from knitting, piercings to bakeries catered for. You can walk to the vity centre in 25 minutes, but the Subway (Underground Metro) and bus services are 7 minutes walk. (I geekily timed it.)leggi altro
Great location. House was beautiful and cozy. Our host was really welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Dave is a total PEACH. He was so helpful and friendly, booking us a taxi, giving us top tips and generally being warm and lovely. The flat is great, we stayed with our two kids and it was just perfect. A couple of food shops on the doorstep too. The area was fab, we felt very safe and our time was over all too soon. Thanks Dave! x
This place was adorable and was so perfect for our holiday! It was in the perfect location for Exploring Glasgow. Dave was a perfect host and made great suggestions for food and fun things to do in Glasgow. We were always able to get ahold of him. The flat was clean and was as advertised. If given the opportunity we will definitely stay again!
Lovely apartment within a 5-10minute walk of Byres Road. The apartment has everything you need and was very clean and tidy. Dave met us at the apartment when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful.
Dave was great host. I regret not asking him out for a pint during my short stay -- I bet his stories would be fantastic! Dave was very accommodating and responsive. His flat is lovely, in a great location, and full of nice touches -- like books, maps, and more. I loved my stay and hope to stay there again when I'm next in Glasgow.
This was our second time at Dave's lovely flat and everything was great. I can't recommend this pretty and spacious flat - in a great part of town - enough.
Dave is a great host! He has lots of passion of the city and is very passionate of sharing what he knows with guests. He's friendly, responsive, and helpful!
Dave welcomed us with a tour of the flat and a cup of tea, and a quick description of the neigbourhood and its amenities. The flat itself is as described - beautifully furnished, with a distinct French influence, quite cosy, and within an easy walk of the Botanics, Byres Road and the attractions therein, and a slightly longer walk to downtown Glasgow. We highly recommend the North Star (Italian Cafe up the street) and the Lucky Cottage (Chinese takeaway downstairs), and if we’d stayed more than one night we’d probably have a slew of other recommendations as well. This flat is our first choice for our next trip to Glasgow.

Great getaway cabin on the Banks of Loch Lomond, fantastic views of the loch and surrounding mountains. A great base for enjoying the many water sports available on the loch, hill walking or simply a relaxing break. Continental breakfast included. The cabin is self contained with an en suite shower room, TV and free WiFi. A substantial continental breakfast is provided within the cabin. There is a covered balcony area and garden. Our biggest asset without doubt is the unrestricted stunning views of Loch Lomond and surrounding mountains. We are in the village and within a five minute walk of all local amenities. If you are attending a wedding in the village we are located 50 metres from the church and a five minute walk to both local hotels. There is private access to the cabin from the road which can be locked, guests will be provided with a key for this and for the cabin on arrival. As the cabin is located in the grounds of my garden i am here most of the time. I am happy to help guests in any way i can to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Wonderful cabin, lovely host and the view was brilliant. Would definitely stay again.
This place is a little gem, the perfect weekend gateway in a beautiful location with plenty to do around the area. We really enjoyed our stay, the cabin is lovely, easy to find, clean and tidy and located just in front of the loch! You can see the amazing scenery from the bedroom. Alyson is the perfect host; she made us feel very welcome, replied promptly and provided us with more than we could have asked for. We are already looking forward to our next visit :)
Alyson and her family made us feel so welcome when we arrived at the cabin. We were traveling with our baby son for the first time and I had previously emailed questions to Alyson which she quickly responded to which put my mind at ease. The cabin itself was extremely clean and well equipped. Alyson had supplied an amazing breakfast which was replenished on our second night of our weekend break. The view from the cabin is out of this world. Although the cabin is close to other properties you feel very secluded, the front porch and garden is perfect for relaxing in private. I only wish we could of stayed longer to spend more time taking it all in. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone, it's a beautiful little secret hideaway in a stunning location.
Loved this cabin on the banks of Loch Lomond. Private garden and amazing views. Alyson is an accommodating host!
A hidden Gem at a beautiful little village at the Lake. After a warm and friendly welcome, we got to see this new and cozy little cabin at the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond ! Amazing views of Loch Lomond and everything in there you need. Breakfast everyday fresh in the fridge. We simply loved to be a guest here. Thank you !
what an absolutely amazing place we found in Alyson's cabin! Luxuriously outfitted, blissfully quiet, great views! Alyson is the perfect hour, really lovely (lovely family too) and generous. Best breakfast ever, continental style including fresh fruit too! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Alyson!
Alyson's lochside cabin was an absolute dream with the most incredible views. Delicious breakfast was provided and the owners were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Lovely, cosy one bedroom flat, nicely decorated and furnished. Central location. Near St George's Cross underground, city centre & west end. Central heating, shower & kitchen- a wee home from home for private use. Short or longer term rental. It's a great, cosy and nicely decorated flat at a budget price. Everything you need for a short to medium term stay. Guests have the use of my flat as their home for the duration of their stay. Due to my work schedule, access during the week (weekdays Mon-Friday) is by arrangement and might be after 5.30pm. I can be flexible about check out time. I will meet you to let you into the flat, give you information to make you comfortable and then leave you to it....the flat is small and so I am not there when you are there :-) An ethnic mix of people. Local shops and restaurants nearby. Easy to get to all other parts of Glasgow. Walking distance to city centre and west end. Not the most high end part of the city, but a good vibe and safe area. St George's X underground is 1 min walk away and gets you around the city very easily. Public buses are also plentiful just a minute's walk from the flat. There is a charge to park a car on the street right outside the flat, from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. After 6pm it is free and all day Saturday and Sunday it is free. I stayed at Claire's flat for several weeks whilst working in Glasgow, and the minute I walked through the door I felt at home. The flat is bigger than you would think from the photos, very comfortable and is in the perfect location- just out of the hussle and bustle of town, but close enough to be in the centre or the west end in a few minutes. Claire is a great host; warm, welcoming, communicative and very obliging. I had a couple of queries during my stay and Claire responded very quickly and sorted them straight out. I very much hope to stay here again next time I'm in Glasgow. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed staying in Claire's apartment it was close to the city centre and we walked there each day. The apartment was smallish but very adequate for the two of us. It was stylish and comfortable. Claire went out of her way to let us in earlier than 5 pm which we very much appreciated.
I had an absolutely lovely time at Claire's flat. She gave me a tour upon arrival (even though I was late!), and then left me to it-- she provided a useful list of instructions, and was quick to reply to my questions. The flat is in a great location for accessing both the West End and City Centre, with lots of pubs, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. The building/flat is clean, feels safe, and has a lovely wee back garden. Highly recommended for a stay in Glasgow!
Very nice and calm apartment. It's near to the city and the check in worked perfectly.
Claire's apartment is in a fantastic location with a handy shop 10 seconds walk away and a subway station 2 mins walk away which gets you into Central Glasgow in 6 mins. The apartment was very clean and much bigger than it looked online. As a host Claire was very friendly and was quick to reply to any query we had. I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
This flat was so cute and had everything we needed. Nice take out nearby, comfortable bed, and close to the subway. We had an easy time navigating and felt safe in the neighborhood.
Claire was an incredibly friendly and helpful host and her place is really nice to stay in. She gave us a more than warm welcome and helped immediately when the heating unwantedly shut down. We had a wonderful time staying at Vicki's beautiful home. We were visiting Loch Lomond for a swimming event, and Vicki was so kind and supportive - we had the kitchen to ourselves to make a huge pasta meal the night before :-) Utterly delicious breakfast too. Highly recommended! X
This is a lovely and wonderful place! There have a creek behind the house, my friend and I really enjoy staying here. Not far from loch lomond. Thank you vicki!
We had the most wonderful, relaxing time at Vicki's beautiful house in Croftamie. Within minutes, it felt like we had come to stay with old friends & it was so hard to say goodbye after just 2 nights! Vicki's delightful daughter Daisy was enthralled by our 4 month old baby girl & the 2 of them entertained us and each other throughout our stay. The house even better than described in the listing, with cuddles from Missy the cat, fresh eggs from the hens for breakfast each morning (& to take with us!), & the tranquil riverside setting with cows & their calves roaming the surrounding fields. The house is in an ideal location to explore Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, but even further afield too if you have more time than we did. We will definitely be back next time we're in Scotland.
My family and I stayed at Vicki´s - and we had a wonderful stay - Vicki was very hospitable and nothing was a problem. I warmly recommend her Bed & Breakfast.
It was lovely to arrive at Vicky's to be greeted by lovely candles and a welcoming fire (not to mention the super friendly cat Misty!). We had a fab stay and would thoroughly recommend staying with Vicky!
We had a delicoous 3 nites/4 days with Vickie at her lovely home perched on the banks of a meandering stream. We've never been made to feel more comfortable or welcome by anyone! Breakfasts were divine and her family and cat delightful. We highly recommend the Old Mill Cottage and the surrounding areas for hiking, dining and sightseeing.
Vicki was a great host and very warm and welcoming. We felt right at home and her house is clean and beautiful. A super host and a pleasure to be a guest there. I would highly recommend her home to anyone.
Our stay at Old Mill Cottage was unforgettable. The riverside house is beautiful and restful. We had an amazing time talking with Vicky and drinking some wine in the sofa with her lovely cat on our knees. Vicky is a thoughtful, interesting and very nice host. The en-suite room was perfect : clean, bright, spacious and tastefully decorated. The location of the house is ideal to visit Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We would love to go back there one day, and we highly recommend anyone to stay at Vicky's Old Mill Cottage !
