  • The cabin was adorable! A great location surrounded by woods and fronting the water. It was a quiet relaxing place to vacation. You can stay at the cabin and do nothing at all, or it was also within close driving distance of things you would want to see and do around Boothbay Harbor. I would highly recommend. And I would not hesitate to book another trip here!! Actually, I just left and want to go back right now.

  • Our stay at the cabin near Boothbay Harbor this past few days was just an unbelievable experience. You choose: breakfast inside or outside, depending on the sea level it can be nice either way since the cabin leaves you the full sight towards the beauty of the nature! We rented out their kayak, went for several bike rides and enjoyed a nice boat trip! Fresh lobster is the best! Thanks to Mike, our host! :-) We definitively recommend this cabin to everyone, who needs a little of that peaceful time in privacy and nature. Thanks 1000x

  • Excellent stay, warm and welcoming cabin with amazing views. Quiet and a great get away!

    Molly2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was the perfect getaway from the city! The wooded setting was perfect, the cabin was cozy, comfortable, and private, and we were supplied with everything we needed (cooking supplies, towels/linens, basic toiletries, etc.). I would definitely recommend the cabin to friends and would plan to go back.

  • This is an adorable cabin with clean and adequate furniture, utensils, and linens. Personally, I found the attic was an interesting place, while I slept, I was almost blanketed by the whole starry sky. The owner is helpful and generous, I loved the kayak trip, thanks.

  • The cottage was great, very simple and well-designed. The location was excellent, being close to both town and some fun hikes, and Mike was lovely and helpful. It was a wonderful experience that we're hoping to repeat in the not-so-distant.

    Evan2013-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was fun and Karen and Mike, the hosts, were friendly and hospitable. The location is very peaceful and beautiful....perfect for getting away and being unplugged. Nice selection of DVDs in case you want to "plug in" to a movie. There's great birdwatching, kayaking, exploring in the area. Oh yes, the bed is quite comfy, too!

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DID NOT ACTUALLY STAY AT THE CABIN. This review is solely about Ian's responsiveness. We were unable to make a reservation we had booked with Ian (through no fault of his--life happened). But I wanted to thank Ian for all of his helpful communication leading up to the booking, and afterward. He answered all of my many questions with good cheer, and always got back to me right away. I wish we had made it to Maine to see the cabin. :( But I can say that Ian is one of the most pleasant hosts I've ever dealt with throughout the booking procedure, and we hope to rebook and finally get there some day.

Be among the 1st to stay in our custom designed tree dwelling w/ wood-fired cedar hot tub up among the trees! This unique structure is perched atop a 21-acre wooded hill sloping to water views. Enjoy stunning views from the King size bed through a wall of windows. Located in a classic coastal Maine village w/ Reid State Park's miles of beaches + famed Five Islands Lobster Co. (See 2 other tree dwellings on our 21 acre property listed on AirBnb as "Tree Dwelling w/Water Views." See our reviews!)
Part modern tree house, part tiny house, this abode is called "Souhegan" (which means "Watching Place") because of the gorgeous views of the river and neighboring conservation land. The dwelling consists of two elevated structures connected by a rope bridge (structures are elevated on posts and trees); a second rope bridge leads to a wood-fired cedar hot tub elevated up among the trees. We've used vintage and salvaged materials when possible. STRUCTURE #1: a two-story structure: master bedroom on the second floor, with a wall of south facing windows affording stunning river views; includes KING SIZE BED (or two twin beds upon request); on the first floor is a small kitchen and dining area (with large windows for water views), a small full bathroom, and a screened-in porch with rockers and river views. Kitchen includes: two-burner stove, sink, small fridge, pots, pans, dishes, toaster oven (no regular oven) and, importantly, cork screw! STRUCTURE #2: is a convertible space with a wall of water-facing windows. Upon request, we can set it up as a second bedroom (with either King size bed or two twins) or we can set it up as a living room space with sofas and coffee table. There is a water-facing veranda off the front of Structure #2. There are 2 other tree dwellings on our 21 acre property listed on AirBnb as "Tree Dwelling w/Water Views." See our reviews! AUTUMN VISITS: Come stay in the tree dwelling in Autumn for stunning views of foliage and crisp walks along the (EMAIL HIDDEN)e back to the tree dwelling to warm up in the cedar hot tub. The dwelling is well insulated and warms up quickly with our top quality wall mounted heating units. WINTER VISITS: The tree dwelling will be available 9 months out of the year. April 1-Jan 2. They stay super cozy on cold nights, and there is no better time of year to sit in the hot tub, snow flakes swirling around you. Warm up after a day of cross country skiing or snowshoeing. THE VIEWS: Both structures have views across down the large tidal Back River. In the distance you can see where the Back River meets up with Kennebec River just before both flow into open ocean and past Seguin Island (where a light house was commissioned by George Washington). Across the Back River from the land lie hundreds of acres of pristine conservation land. Part of the year, this tree dwelling will be used for the Seguin Artist in Residence Program at the Back River Institute, which is under development. Use of KAYAK's and CANOE's are included with rental and available at anytime during your stay
We are located in the picturesque coastal village of Georgetown, Maine (which includes Five Islands). Reid State Park, with its beautiful, sandy beaches and hiking trails, is just a few miles from us in Georgetown. Be sure to visit the Five Islands Lobster Co., for best lobsters, lobster rolls, fish sandwich, corn on the cob--and harbor views. Five Islands Farm and Gourmet Market is excellent source of fine wine, beers, local produce, meats, cheeses, gifts. We are a ten minute drive from the town of Bath Maine which has great coffee shop (Cafe Creme), bookstore (the Mustard Seed), deli (the Living Edge), grocery store (Bracket's Market), health food store (Bath Natural Market), great yoga studio (Ebb and Flow), BBQ (Beale St. BBQ), fine dining (Solo Bistro), Maine Maritime Museum, and locally famous Reny's! We are 20 minutes from Brunswick with Bowdoin College, Sea Dog Brewery, Gelato Fiasco!, coffee shops, great restaurants and bar/restaurant/hangout (Frontier), indie movie theatre with couches (The Starlight). We are 30 minutes from Freeport, for original L.L. Bean store and outlets. We are 45 minutes from Portland, with its exploding, world-class restaurant/foodie scene.
  • For food there is a grill for meat and a small electric drive for eggs and a toaster oven for toast bagels etc... We didn't feel like cooking much so we brought stuff for pick plates which worked well for us. There's lots of places around to eat as well and Marsha describes them very well in her packet at the Tree house. We would definitely go back. Reid State Park was lovely and Marsha provided a pass for guests. Love it here!

  • This was a weekend we looked forward to, but we had no idea just how wonderful that it would be. The treehouse are perfect, built for relaxation and inspiration. The views and the experience just can't be beat. We fell in love with the Seguin tree dwellings. We will be back.

    Paige2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house is perfectly simple and the experience overlooking the marsh and estuary is simply perfect! It offers no more and no less than what what one needs for a revitalizing sojourn in a beautiful peaceful setting. Great design, incredible window walls, feeling truly immersed in nature while gently cocooned in a tiny house. Indulge yourself without hesitation! This is a gem!

    Claudia2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had high hopes for this stay and it truly exceeded our expectations. Staying in the trees was charming, romantic and peaceful. Accommodations were great and the amenities were terrific.

    Scott2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very helpful and prompt with responses! Accommodations were perfect- rustic themed, yet modern at the same time. What a treasure and amazing place! We will be back for sure! And I will continue to rave about this place for quite some time!

    Jessie2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is truly a gem! The view, the hot tub, every detail that Marsha has put into it is spectacular! This is definitely a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We will be back!

    Annie2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The only thing we could muster up at first was "two nights is not enough time." This place is truly special and oh so beautiful. Luxury in the tree tops with a tasteful little splash of rustic. It's the perfect summer cocktail (in a cedar hot tub.)

    Brittney2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • LOVED THE PLACE! We went there with our two kids (age 10 & 14), for Thanksgiving. Grilled duck & potatoes on the outdoor grill. Kitchen is small (which was explained accurately in the description), so we planned ahead! Hot tub was fabulous! Very peaceful, and the views were great. Great for a family that likes the out-of-ordinary places or a couple that is looking for privacy.

  • Cammie provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need. She put such thought into the décor, the quality of the linens, the comfort of the beds, the stocking of the kitchen, Her home looked like it came straight out of the pages of COASTAL MAGAZINE!! We had plenty of towels, paper goods, books, games. & space for 6 women to relax & bond. Cant say enough of about this wonderful home. And that is exactly how we all felt. AT HOME. Not a rental. A warm, inviting beautiful home. Thank you

    Josephine2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cammie's home was lovely and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant home to spend the weekend in!

    Erin2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was fantastic and everything we had hoped for. It has a great location with a walk only a couple of minutes to beautiful Popham Beach. Very family friendly and dog friendly. We have rented houses and apartments across the globe, and this kitchen was by far the best stocked we have encountered -- it was a pleasure to cook there. The furnishings and beds were extremely high quality and very comfortable. We highly recommend this listing and hope to return some day.

    Pam2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cammie's place was so wonderful! Our family vacation was so relaxing in her wonderful home-it had everything we could possibly want or need, from a well stocked kitchen (dishes, pots and pans, condiments) to plenty of towels, bedding, to things for the kids (beach toys, a wagon to cart them to the beach!!!!) It is a beautiful, clean, tons of room, close to a beautiful beach!!!! Would stay there again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you so much!

    Wendy2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The house was BEAUTIFUL!!!! It had everything you could possibly need and more. It's also a quick 2 min walk to the beach. We loved our stay!

    Melissa2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, stocked with everything we needed for a cozy winter getaway with two kids! We even walked to Popham beach for a blustery cold sunset! This place was magical in February; I can only imagine how much fun it'd be in the summer! Cammie was a great host!

    Rebecca2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home blocks from the beach. The kitchen has everything you could hope for, especially when it comes to Lobster preparation. This house is "remote" in that there is no commercial businesses near by, it is quite a drive to "civilization" The fourth bedroom is really a sitting room of the main room, has double doors and a sofa couch.

    letti2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cammie’s great and very functional place made up for the bad weather (November after all). I strongly recommend this beautiful place for your next adventure, at one of the most beautiful beaches in Maine.

The terrace has a gas grill and there are large lobster pots for your use stored in the gazebo garden shed.
  • Ruth was an amazing host. Very hospitable and extremely responsive to any communication that came from me or my group. Very sweet and attentive, I'd highly recommend Ruth and her property for anyone who wants a relaxing getaway from everything. We rarely left the suite, there wasn't a need to besides to go to the grocery store.

    Kimberly2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • The solitude and peacefulness of this location can't be beat. There are almost no other people around—despite there being other houses nearby, we saw fewer than 10 people in 4 days. The suite itself is spacious and homey. The kids loved the loft, where two extra beds are. The view of the water—with the tides coming in and out—is wonderful, and the porch is just lovely—the porch swing was very popular. Stargazing is great just twenty feet from the front door. Overall, entirely wonderful. Some practical advice: Paddling (kayaking and canoeing) is effectively limited to a few hours around high tide. Otherwise it's too difficult to get in the water. Also, as there are no laundry facilities on site (as advertised—so no complaints there) bring extra clothes if you plan to be active—you'll need them after hiking or paddling. There's a very nice laundromat—Sunny Too in Brunswick—but it takes at least two hours to drive there, do laundry and get back. You can do laundry back home and your time in here is better spent in the porch swing.

    Trey2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Sam were amazing hosts! My friends and I arrived Friday afternoon and Sam was waiting for us to show us the suite, explain every detail in the house and give us a pass for all the parks and beaches around the area. They were both so nice to fill the fridge with food for breakfast the next day. The house itself is so pretty, organized and clean. We had breakfast at the terrace every morning and we enjoyed the good weather. At night, we enjoyed staring at stars in total silence. This was my first trip with my (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and it was one of the best trips I have ever had in my life. So make sure you choose the right company to enjoy this amazing place and try to make use of all the facilities provided like the Jacuzzi, the fire place and of course the beautiful terrace. On the way back to Boston we were planning our next visit to Georgetown to stay at Ruth and Sam's house of another weekend, probably in November!

    Mohamed2014-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and Sam welcomed us to their special Villa Suite on arrival. This is an extraordinary space, built by Sam (who has built many other homes, we gather). It is spacious and airy, with a very large and private bedroom and a neat sleeping loft above the main room with built in beds and an eclectic and historic library, comfy swivel chairs, and even a desk. The great room has a grand piano, fireplace, comfy seating, dining table, and kitchen area. There is an enormous patio on two sides, with breathtakingly beautiful views of the Back River. Watching the tide come in and go out is mesmerizing. There are canoes and kayaks too! The location could not be better. This is just a few miles past Bath, near Reid State Park, and close to Five Islands Lobster and The Osprey. Popham Beach state park is only a short drive. Beautiful and peaceful vacation spot!

    Erin2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. We enjoyed hanging out on the balcony and visiting the surrounding parks. Reid state park is a gem and Seawall pond is a perfect spot for a swim. Would love return sometime soon.

    Mike2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, son and I had a terrific weekend at Ruth's place. The view is terrific, the rooms are beautifully built, and it's quintessential Maine. We also loved the fireplace, brick porch w/ view, and the warm cookie when we arrived.

    Matthew and Sarah2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, albeit short, stay in Georgetown. With the exception of the weekend being unseasonably warm and the beautiful place felt a bit so, I have only good things to say. Ruth was out of town but arranged for her house manager to meet us. Megan and her husband were nice and welcoming and the location was perfect. Being close to bath and the beaches was exactly as we'd hoped. We loved the porch overlooking the water and the space is well designed and thoughtfully equipped/decorated. The sweetest touch was the fridge complete with breakfast goodies and such - we really appreciated that!! Yum! Thanks so much - we'll certainly be back.

    Priscilla2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth is an amazingly kind and welcoming host! As soon as we arrived she was available to show us around the house and give us some useful pointers on things to do in the area. The house itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and comfortable. We used the jacuzzi tub and fireplace frequently, and enjoyed the view from just outside the windows. We would definitely come back and stay with Ruth again!

This cosy, comfortable and charming cottage in picturesque Georgetown, Maine, offers convenient access to the white sandy beaches of Reid State Park, hiking trails, kayaking, nature conservancy land, an Audubon bird sanctuary, and much more.
Located right across from the public boat landing, guests are welcome to launch their kayaks from our private dock, and have their own private patio, picnic table and grill.
The cottage faces due west over Robinhood Cove. sunsets tend to be glorious.
  • The cottage was beautiful and had great views of Robinhood Cove. Meeting and setup was easy and comfortable and the entire stay was delightful!

  • My husband and I had a lovely time at the O'Grady's cottage. Stephen and Sheila were wonderful hosts - they made us feel very welcome and had great recommendations for dining and things to do. Sheila had made amazing blueberry muffins - wow! - and the fridge was stocked with coffee, water, and fruit. The cottage is a simple, peaceful spot overlooking the cove - perfect for a quiet getaway. We took advantage of the kayaks and explored the cove at high tide. The location in Georgetown is excellent for exploring the area - near to hiking, beaches and lobster! We recommend nearby Popham Beach, Reid State Park (bring mosquito spray!), Five Islands Lobster Co, Five Islands Farm Stand, and Solo Bistro in Bath. Also a close drive to Freeport and/or the more touristy Boothbay. We hope our travels will bring us back to the O'Grady's in the future!

    Kristen2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's place was immaculate! They were attentive and kind to all that we needed during our stay. We wish we had more time to chat with them, but we had obligations to be at events for our family during the weekend. It was too quick a stay for us! The towels, the kitchen, the space is well equipped with all you would need for two people and/or a family that likes to be together and have their young ones sleeping in a ladder loft. The water view is a killer. We enjoyed a long day kayaking.

    Jennifer2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen and Sheila's cottage is the vacation home we wish our own families had. From the moment you arrive, it's clear this is a place they built for themselves and their family and Stephen and Sheila immediately made us feel right at home. The cottage is small but charming and extremely comfortable. The living room gets a ton of light through three giant windows and sitting on the couch facing the water is as relaxing as it gets. We also cooked a few times and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need, including tea and coffee and Sheila's delicious homemade blueberry muffins. The location is great - Georgetown is a small island that's extremely quiet and peaceful. The cottage itself is peacefully secluded from neighbors but 10 min from a great lobster/seafood shack, 2 min from a country store and less than 15 min from Bath. Steven and Sheila were exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and everything was in perfect working order. The fridge had broken right before we arrived, and since Stephen couldn't get a repairman out on the holiday weekend, he had already purchased a mini-fridge for us, which was more than suitable. They have a ton of knowledge about the local area and it was great to get their recommendations and learn about the Georgetown area. Overall we had a wonderful visit and look forward to returning.

    Matthew2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night in the cabin and wish had booked an entire week. The view from the living room sofa of the water and sunset and general peacefulness of the area gave us a long overdue respite from city life. We walked the beaches and scrambled over the rocks at nearby Reid State Park and enjoyed driving along the cove shore taking in the Autumn leaves and beautiful scenery. Thanks for the muffins, flowers, and great personal library to peruse as we settled into 24 hours of the Georgetown life.

    Jamie2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Shelia and Steve are exceptionally warm, attentive, thoughtful and accommodating hosts! The best hosts one could ask for when traveling solo. Right on the water and comfortably off the main road and from their house, the cottage is private, spacious, and exceptionally clean and functional--the absolute epitome of a cozy, welcoming Maine cottage on the coast. This place was perfect for my one night stay near The Moorings Bed and Breakfast. Only wish I could have stayed and enjoyed it longer. Thank you Steve and Sheila for such a great place to stay. And for some of the best scones I've ever had. Hope to make it back one day.

    Nicole2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the O'Grady's were wonderful hosts and we loved their cabin. Everything was terrific - peaceful, comfortable and just right. We look forward to returning. Many thanks! - Julie & Frank

    Julie2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay at Stephen & Sheila's place. They were extremely accommodating, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Was greeted with fresh blueberry muffins on arrival and given a thorough tour of the cottage. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything needed in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and outdoors - including blueberry bushes, a grill, dock, kayaks and bug spray. Amazing location near beautiful beaches, hikes, ponds and access to just enough restaurants and interesting local spots. Pictures don't do the place justice and I can't say enough about how great the experience was.

    Maine cottage on Robinhood Cove

We are located in the quaint fishing village of Five Islands, a short stroll to the lobster co-op, and 3 miles from Reid State Park. Each room comfortably sleeps 2; enjoy our beautiful perennial gardens and deck views over the Sheepscot Bay.
Seacliffs B and B is a typical Maine summer cottage, surrounded by water on 3 sides, magnificent sunrises and sunsets over the Sheepscot Bay. We sit high on a hill that looks over the cove filled with lobster boats, sail boats and sea life, like seals, harbor porpoises, osprey and eagles. Enjoy your coffee or cocktails in comfortable deck chairs that look out over the water. Sue has an artist studio on the property that looks out over Gott's cove, where she shows works of the Maine coast. Please note that we have two golden retrievers, so if you are allergic or afraid of dogs, we are not the place for you. If you like dogs, they are always happy to oblige you in a game of "chuck-it" off the dock. In Five Islands you can eat at Five Islands Lobster Co-op for the best lobster on the coast, or you can drive a short distance to "Blue" at Grey Haven's Inn for an upscale meal, or " The Osprey" for local seafood,at Robinhood Marina. Please note that many of the restaurants are seasonal and you should check availability. Three miles down the road, is Reid State Park, with gorgeous beaches, trails for hiking and lagoon for swimming. We have miles of trails in Georgetown, fresh water swimming lakes, blueberries to pick, and islands to explore. You can truly relax in our peaceful setting, but have easy access to Route 1, to explore the towns of Bath, Boothbay Harbor and Freeport, all within an hour's drive.
  • My family and I stayed at Cliff and Sue's amazing home for two nights. The rooms were really comfortable and spotlessly clean. And the views! I wanted to move in. Sue was out of town but Cliff was extremely hospitable; we enjoyed great conversations over wine on the patio and loved playing with his sweet dogs. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and Cliff really encouraged us to feel at home and we really did! The area is exactly what you want from Maine - amazing coast line, delicious lobster, and quaint little towns. We enjoyed lobster at the co-op down the road and took advantage of Cliff's kayaks for a great trip right off of his dock. Reid State Park, a short drive away, is also a great way to spend the day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. And I am really looking forward to coming back again!

  • The term "SuperHost" does not seem sufficient when describing the warm welcome and hospitality that Susan and Cliff provided us this weekend. They have thought of every detail in advance, communicate promptly and clearly as well as being very kind and helpful with area recommendations. This is our first stay at the Seacliffs B&B, and we loved it enough to already planning a return visit next summer! Their home is impeccably clean, delightfully decorated and the stunning seacoast view and lush landscape surrounding their home brought calm and tranquility as we feasted on the flowers amidst blue skies and ocean vistas all around. We sat out on the deck in the morning with coffee as we planned our day's adventures and then returned to the deck to relax at day's end. The photos accurately depict the home but it is even better in person. The Admiral's sleeping quarters are very private with a super comfy bed, soaking tub and ample closet space. We are seasoned airbnb hosts and travelers and quite honestly will say that our stay with Susan and Cliff was simply the best! We cannot say enough good things about their "Slice of Heaven." We found it to be perfect for a relaxing, restorative getaway. Book with confidence.

  • Sue and Cliff are both very enjoyable and welcoming hosts that are fun to get to know, but also give you space anytime they feel that is needed. This house if beautiful with great private space for the guests and lovely areas to eat in, for sitting, reading or whatever is your thing - priceless view of the bay at Georgetown. There is lots to do nearby but it is also amazing to just sit and enjoy their town and house at the end of the road. Something for everyone! Very comfortable, nice, clean and a great location that as above is remote but also within walking and driving distance to many many things!

  • My husband and I had a delightful weekend at Susan and Cliff's beautiful home! The view is amazing and there are many different ways to enjoy it (from the dining table, from the screened in porch, from the outdoor porch, from the dock, from the back yard, or from the kitchen). It was rainy during some of our stay so we enjoyed reading and sipping coffee in the screened in porch. The house is pristine and beautifully appointed. Sue is a very talented artist whose stunning oil paintings adorn the walls. Our goal for the weekend was to rejuvenate while our daughter stayed with her grandparents. The bed was very comfortable and our room was beautiful and warm. We were lucky enough to have en suite bathroom as well. Breakfast was delicious and hearty and the hosts were great. There's no wonder why they have a solid 5/5 star rating! We spent Saturday in Bath enjoying the farmers market, art galleries, and getting in some shopping.

  • Welcoming hosts...available for questions and also give space to guests. Terrific location for what I wished to do while in Georgetown. My first airbnb, but I am a seasoned Bed and Breakfast guest- over 3o years of experiences all over the U.S. This was an exceptional property. Their grounds are even more beautiful then the pictures and the house is gorgeous. As a huge fan of HGTV and loving architecture and decorating as I do, this home was a huge delight for me. Also very a very clean and orderly home. Besides my own room, I loved having other options for sitting- downstairs inside, the screened porch, the deck, or the dock. Sorry I did not have time for a kayak experience. The breakfasts each morning were well prepared and flavorful- for example: perfect over easy eggs and scrumptious homemade granola (to go with fruit and yogurt). The owners give attention to breakfasts having some health aspects, as well as tasting good. Now that my vacation is over and I am back home, I can honestly say that I had no regrets about my choices for sleeping accommodations in any of the towns I stayed. Seacliffs was/ is a winner and I would love to return. Thank you for opening your home!

  • Sue and Cliff were warm and welcoming. Their home was beautiful and the location and views were fantastic. They had excellent suggestions for food and activities in the area. We had an amazing, relaxing weekend; it was just what we were looking for.

  • We loved staying at Seacliffs with Cliff and Sue. What a beautiful house and property, and such friendly, welcoming hosts. Five Islands is absolutely wonderful!

  • Susan and Cliff have an amazingly beautiful home overlooking the sea. It's even bettter than it looks in the pictures. They were warm, friendly, gave us great advice for visiting the area and provided us with a very nice breakfast.

  • What a spot! We loved hanging out on the water at this magical little spot. The view is really spectacular and the sliding doors allow you to enjoy the water view and pretty gardens from inside or out. Debbie was very attentive to our needs and we enjoyed chatting with her. She even helped us spot some seals right from the dock. We loved the Boothbay area. When we weren't just relaxing on the dock, we enjoyed the nearby restaurants, exploring the little town, a harbor tour, and the pretty petite beach by Hendricks Head Lighthouse. This was a special trip for our family.

  • Lovely Hostess, very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, with all the amenities. The view was amazing, too!! Thanks for a nice stay.

  • Very welcoming and all around great hosts. Had a wonderful time exploring the local scenery and quaint towns. Even during some poor weather, the cottage was lovely place to get cosy and listen to the rain on the skylights.

    Carl2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was fantastic! The cottage was beautiful and sparking clean when we arrived. The location was perfect - it was a quick ride to boothbay harbor, has a gorgeous dock for eating breakfast, and is a short walk to a great lobster restaurant on the water. Debbie was very hospitable and a great host. One of the best airbnbs we have stayed in so far!

    Dustin2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie and Glenn's attached guest home was just as described. Very clean, quiet, comfortable and easy to access. The key was left for us and the check in was self sufficient. We walked over the swing bridge to Robinsons Wharf for dinner (4 min walk) which was nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and waking up to the amazing lighting and scenery by the water was awesome. We walked down by the dock and water in the morning before heading out. (Debbie offered a late check out if needed.) Lovely area and lovely home. Would stay again.

  • Great location. Perfect weekend getaway. Beautiful scenery with the turn bridge and water just steps away. Check in and check out was as easy as can be. The place, bedding, bathroom and kitchen were all very clean and comfortable. Spend a couple extra bucks for this gem rather than one of the local hotel/motels, it will not disappoint!

The cottage is near Five Islands Pier and Reed State Beach and has great views of the water and islands. You’ll love the place because of Its 6 acre's of grass and woods with 200' of water. The rustic cottage has a big porch to enjoy the water from and all the amenities you'd need. The Pier has a picnic table and rockers to relax during the day and two kayaks to adventure within the cove. There is a ramp and float down to the water. This is a non smoking home.
There is a outdoor restaurant at the Five Island Pier and there's a great restaurant, the Osprey at Robinhood Cove. Its on the north side of the island off 127. There are signs and a funky garage with antlers on it.
  • We absolutely loved our stay here and did not want to leave! The cottage was very clean and had much more than we expected as far as kitchen supplies and gadgets, games and seating inside and out. The shower was really nice and the little tote bags to store our toiletries were a fun touch. The views from the cottage are amazing and the outdoor areas are wonderful. We spent lots of our time on the dock fishing and watching boats, including those from the island across the cove- so much fun! The screened room was fabulous and we really appreciated the State Park pass, which was another big bonus! Growing up in Maine, Reid State Park is one of our favorite beaches so being a short drive from it was wonderful. Paul answered any questions very quickly. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway that is quintessential Maine, this is it.

  • This place is such a great retreat. It is on a beautiful, peaceful location on the water. There are some quirks to the home, but the location makes it worth it. I would stay here again.

  • Paul's place is fantastic - a classic, rustic Maine getaway. It was exactly what we were looking for. Lovely views of the water, a nice deck to relax on, and all of the essentials. Paul was also very helpful and communicative. We hope to be back soon!

  • The house was perfect for 5 adults! Couldn't have asked for a better spot up on the Maine seacoast!

    Stephen2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We went with our two kids (10&14 years) and my inlaws. The home was wonderful. We watched boats come in and out of the cove, we used the kayaks and visited some local restaurants. It was a great relaxing vacation.

    Nina2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Humble, beautiful home! Paul's cottage really lives up to its name. The forest around it as well as the quiet community gave you a sense of privacy you just can find anywhere in a city. The waterside had a deck you could walk on with a boat parked beside it. The rooms were large enough for 6 to fit comfortably, and the house was well-kept. If you're looking for a house to share with friends for a trip in Maine, this is it! Best of luck to you Paul, and thanks for the opportunity to stay at your home! Orlando

  • Our first Maine trip was great: from our host to facility to people we met. The property, though it was not a big resort on waterfront, was a quaint little home with a lots of privacy, and had all amenities you could need. Private floatung dock, deck overlooking the cove, friendly neighbor, and peace and quiet. The host was very nice, though we never met face to face, Paul was on the ball each and every time I contacted him. All we can say is...Thank you, Paul.

  • We loved staying at Sarah's place. The house is very charming and decorated tastefully, there is a large gallery space attached and a nice yard. While not directly at the beach, the location is perfect for excursions to nearby state parks, marinas and cute fishing villages. Sarah was a great host and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

    Vera2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly, all of my contact with Sarah was very prompt and the property was exactly as described. The house was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable with nice bedding and pillows and plush towels too! All up to date appliances with a wonderful gas stove. The bathroom has been remodeled and is very nice. The environment is very peaceful and the yard is just gorgeous - a pretty and immaculate garden in the back and potted flowers everywhere. We had a great visit!

    Elizabeth2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • The refrigerator was stocked, the beds were comfy, everything was neat and tidy and there were no off limits - so we enjoyed breakfast in the garden.

    Ann2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend away in Sarah's home was absolutely wonderful. We arrived late at night to find a welcoming note from Sarah telling us to help ourselves to anything in fridge, including the beer. The living room and kitchen were incredibly well designed, and we instantly made ourselves at home in front of the wood-burning stove. The house is located in the quiet town of Georgetown, a 10 minute walk from the general store and a short drive from Reid State Park or 5 Islands. Beyond that, it's the perfect location to explore neighboring towns: 15 minutes from Bath, 30 minutes from Wiscasset, 40 minutes from Booth Bay, and about 1 hour from Portland or Camden. We took advantage of all of the above, falling ever more in love with the fall foliage and also, the New England towns. Also worth mentioning that Sarah was incredibly responsive when we had questions & we would definitely visit again!

  • Very nice location by the water. Great view from the unit. Only tradeoff is that it's about 20 minutes from shops and restaurants. But the unit has a kitchen so you can stock up and enjoy some meals at home.

  • We had a wonderful and relaxing time staying at Mary's apartment. The view was spectacular, truly panoramic, and exactly as pictured in the photos. The property itself was beautiful, and the apartment was clean, artfully decorated and well-kept. We had the pleasure of meeting Mary and Rick upon checking in and they were warm and welcoming. While they were present at the house during our stay, they were quiet and unobtrusive, yet helpful as needed. We drove into Boothbay for a visit to the Botanical Gardens (about a 45 minute drive) and have dinner, and hiked some local trails on Westport Island and on Barters Island, right across the Sheepscot River. We would highly recommend booking a stay at this apartment if you are looking for a quiet and secluded getaway.

    Catherine2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect... the cottage by itself is better than the description and photos, the location is amazing and the view is fantastic including all the seals every morning. The place is so quiet and relaxing, clean and well equip. Mary and Rick are wonderful and so friendly, we had no issue at all during all the stay. We will recommend that place to all our friends and big chance that we do this again! 5 stars all the way. Merci beaucoup, Chantal & Alain ;O)

  • Wonderfully peaceful spot with gorgeous water views. Loved every minute of our visit.

    Andrea2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a marvelous three night visit. The location is extremely quiet (my ideal) except for the peepers and bull frog. It is close to a good restaurant, but otherwise quite off the beaten path. The apartment is bright with large windows looking out over the river. A nice deck, comfortable bed and living space and small but good kitchen. I had a great time. Pictures are REAL. They tell the story!

    Kester2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The view is spectacular. I got up early every day to watch the sun come up. The apartment had everything we needed, and was just the right size for my husband and I. The apartment is decorated with very nice original art, which complimented the space beautifully. I didn’t meet Mary, but she was very responsive via email.

    JoAnn2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful in-law apartment in a beautiful location. Perfect for a long weekend away from they city. Although we didn't meet Mary in person she was available as needed and the apartment had everything we needed for cooking at home. Easy access to hiking trails and a short drive to several costal towns.

    Kristin2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Right on the rocky shore of the Sheepscot River, the huge windows and deck allow you to watch seals, and loons, and everything you associate with Maine. There is a dock for your kayaks, or to relax. The apartment is new and extremely comfortable. You will want for nothing!

This is our first year renting our cottage, which we've fully renovated since we bought it in 2012. Walk to picturesque Five Islands lobster wharf and town beach, ride your bike to Reid State Park, or rent kayaks and explore the coast. Large yard backing up to woods.
Our three-bedroom cottage is cozy and nicely appointed. Downstairs includes a renovated kitchen with large fridge, gas stove and oven, and all the amenities (we love to cook so we understand the importance of a well-stocked kitchen); a laundry room and pantry; a large dining area; and a comfortable living room with a television and a great variety of kids toys. There also is a porch off the kitchen with screened windows that we use for breakfast, dinner and evening cocktails. Upstairs are three bedrooms with closet space and dressers and the renovated bathroom with a full tub and shower. We have beach toys and a croquet set in the shed. The woods outside the house are great fun for kids to explore.
Five Islands is 20 minutes outside of Bath and is known for the town wharf and lobster dock and Reid State Park, which is a stunning expanse of sandy beach only a 20 minute bike ride from our house. You also can walk to the town beach off Ledgemere Road and rent kayaks and explore the coastline. We love to pick up wine and cheese at the Five Islands Farm and lobster rolls at the Country Store.
  • Beautiful, clean and peaceful! We had a lovely stay!

    Patricia2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is quiet with a large lawn area around the house and outdoor games provided in the shed. It's an easy walk down to the harbor/lobster dock. It's a great home base for excursions to Reid State Park and the towns of Bath and Boothbay Harbor. For a larger family gathering, additional guests could consider staying at the Coveside B&B across the street which is run by Emily's parents. The rooms are all decorated tastefully and are very comfortable with high-quality linens and towels. The kitchen is new and clean with modern appliances and everything needed for cooking and even baking. Communication with the caretaker Sara (who lives nearby) was very easy. We had a great stay and hope to be back some day.

    Britta2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an immaculately clean, spaceous and well-equiped cottage. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The location was fantastic (3 miles from the state beach). It is private and well suited to a family or a couple. The hosts are attentive and wonderful to interact with. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • Our party consisted of two toddler travelers and 4 adults and Emily's space was perfect for us. There were toys for the kids, plenty of seating and the front porch was a great place to sit, sip coffee and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and while we didn't need anything, it was nice to know that Sara was nearby in case we had questions. It's a scenic drive to and from many Maine destination but it's right next to Reid State Park which was great to explore and hang out on the beach! We had a lovey time at a lovely place.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days / 3 nights and loved the place! The house was so tastefully decorated and perfectly tidy and clean. You could tell that it was recently renovated since everything looked fresh and clean. I loved the well-appointed kitchen, as we had several meals at the house. Emily had very nice pots & pans, lovely dinnerware and glasses for her guest to use. The bedrooms were all simply decorated but with quality items - the sheets were a high quality. Bathroom was spotless with plenty of extra supplies. Typical of these cottages, the shower is a bit on the small side and as a result the shower curtain is slightly too big for it, but it was clean. The location of the house ended up being a nice surprise! It was located on a very quiet and peaceful -- almost private -- road, yet walkable to The Five Islands Lobster Co. and Five Islands Farm Stand. We saw deer and several bird species in the yard daily. I would happily recommend and hopefully get a chance to stay here again.

    Margaret2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very charming place to stay, just as described in the posting. We had 5 people and the 3 rooms accommodated us well. There is just one bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms but we were aware of that going in. There is a huge laundry room which would be a perfect spot for a second bathroom. The location was great for heading over to Bath for hiking, lighthouses and shopping or to head to Boothbay Harbor for Whale Watching and shopping around the warf. We didn't spend much time in Georgetown itself but would have liked to visit the Five Island Lobster Company. We were there after Labor Day though and their hours are more limited. The host provided a book of all things you need to know for your stay as it relates to the house and to activities in the area. That was very helpful as we used it as our guide for our stay. A large fully stocked kitchen allowed us to save some money by making breakfast at the house before heading out for the day. Oh, and don't shop at the local general store in Georgetown, it's EXPENSIVE. There is an IGA in bath, I believe that has more reasonable prices. Overall, we were really pleased with the price and what we got for it. A very nice home :-)

This amazing new house is found on the famous and acclaimed Popham Beach. ** Please read "Other Things to Note" section for important information. For example the cancellation policy is only strict during July/Aug**
From a guest: "We stayed over Christmas and it was so beautiful watching the snow fall while overlooking the water. The house is exactly as pictured and described, it has everything you need, a very well equipped kitchen, lots of space in the lounge and a large dining room table, which was perfect for our Christmas dinner. The area is beautiful, and very close to the beach. Clark was wonderful to deal with and was very responsive to all my emails, and called me to make sure we arrived ok. My first Airbnb experience was fantastic, and I hope that i get to stay again in this great home" I look forward to speaking with you and sharing this wonderful home and beach. Thank you, Clark
  • House is absolutely amazing and couldn't have asked for more for our group of 6. Clark was easy to contact and even checked-in during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. Can't wait to come back up for another trip.

  • We spent 10 days in this beautiful house with friends (4 kids) in April. The house is great with a unique layout in the kitchen/living room giving you the feeling that you live in the trees. The house is super close to the beach/ state park and there is plenty to discover just around the house. We enjoyed a lot cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, with all the utensils and appliances you need. Overall, the house was perfect and Clark was very helpful, he answered all our questions previous to our arrival and even find all the extra gear we needed for our little ones (pack'n play, booster sit and high chair). We really appreciated the extra effort to make our lives easier and to make us more comfortable in the house (for example the electric heaters were on in the bedrooms when we arrived ready for us for the first night).

  • This house is perfect. The view of the lake in the morning, and the crash of the ocean just minutes (literally) away are fabulous. The house is stocked with everything you could want. Kitchen appliances, board games, puzzles, wifi, it's all there. Our visit was in November, outside of tourist season, but there were restaurants, shops, and grocery stores open in downtown Bath, about 30 minutes away. This is a beautiful home, in a beautiful location.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Aslan beach house. The house was beautiful; we loved the giant windows overlooking the lake. Although it was a bit of a drive away from the nearest town, the location was still very desirable. Thank you Clark!

  • The home was exactly as depicted in both description and reviews. The location was equally as unique as it was spectacular. The remodeled home is perfect for entertainment. It is big in all the right places for a vacation: The kitchen, living area, and dining. Beautiful cabin remodel.

  • The Aslan cottage was a wonderful place to stay. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful, and the cottage (home) upscale and comfortable. Within a couple minutes from the beach, it sets on a small lake with eagles appearing often. I highly recommend it.

  • Clark responded promptly to every email and gave great directions. The neighborhood was lovely, sandwiched between picturesque Silver Lake and Popham beach. The house had lots of room and great views of the lake. The kitchen was modern, and the whole place was rustic and clean but very contemporary. There were a few commodities already in the fridge -- homemade salad dressing and blueberry syrup! -- and the kitchen was well stocked. There was even charcoal for barbecuing. Our biggest problem was keeping sand out of the house , but we figured out a good system -- what a nice problem to have!! Definitely a geat place to stay.

  • This is a beautiful home about a minute walk to Popham Beach. It's a quiet neighbor--perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house is well stocked with almost everything you would need, including a vast array of kitchen utensils and cooking supplies. The house itself is spacious and welcoming, with large windows that overlook a gorgeous lake. Clark did everything to make our stay easy and comfortable. A great house and a great trip!

Charming cottage on the Kennebec River on the outskirts of historic and beautiful Bath, Maine. Close to great shops, restaurants, and beaches, and just a 20-minute drive from Bowdoin College. Adjacent to a boat launch, and a short walk from the Bath Marine Museum and a scenic dog park.
This beautifully preserved 1890's house is situated on the edge of the Kennebec River. It is the larger of two properties on a gorgeous piece of land on the outskirts of Bath. (The other property, "the nest," is rented on Airbnb separately). Guests can sit on the wrap-around deck and watch the evening fall over the marshes. The house has a large fully equipped open-plan kitchen, a sun room with windows on two sides, and a dining room. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with two single beds, and a small bedroom with a single bed, and two bathrooms. There are two dedicated private parking spaces.
Bath is a quaint town on the Kennebec river, recently voted one of the best small towns to live in America. Front Street and Maine Street have antique shops, boutique clothing stores, (email hidden) store and Cafe Creme, a lovely coffee shop. Stroll around historic downtown to see the architecture, or walk along the riverside park and stop in at the Farmer's market. If you enjoy nature and hiking, Popham Beach, Sewall Pond, Morse Mountain bird reserve and Josephine Newman Sanctuary are each about 15 minute drive. Boaters can take tours down the Kennebec (or even to Seguin Lighthouse) through the River Run tours, or the Maine Marine Museum. This museum also has exhibits for all ages, highlighting the history of the town that once was famous for building clipper ships, including a boat builders area and a pirate ship. Shoppers will love that Bath is 20 minutes drive from Freeport Outlet town and LL Bean Flag ship store. Bath is also 15 minute drive from the quaint town of Wiscasset, which is fast becoming Maine's antique-shop capital, and a 15 minute drive from Brunswick, for parents visiting Bowdoin. Bath is famous for its Heritage Days July 4th weekend with a parade, a local fair and a fireworks display over the river.
  • We had a lovely time staying at this wonderfully renovated house on the water. It is in a neighborhood on the water which is lovely but close to town with lovely views. Bath is charming town and this is a wonderful place from which to explore the loveliness of this region. We very much enjoyed the Maritime Museum which you can walk to from the house. The whole area gives you a glimpse into a part of our history that was huge and is now transformed into a modern day use - Bath Iron Works.

  • Philip's place was perfect for us. A great location for a family, and we really enjoyed staying here. Philip was very responsive to anything we needed. I hope we can come back soon!

  • Pip's house on the Kennebec is a small slice of paradise right outside of town. The house is warm and welcoming and tastefully decorated. The house is lovely and was a perfect place for my family. Pip was a very accommodating host and responsive to all my questions.

  • We just returned from 3 weeks at the waterfront cottage in Bath, and it was spectacular. Philip and his family were amazing hosts... we were welcomed with treats in the fridge and lots of directions to area attractions. Whenever we needed something for the house (extra sheets, a vacuum), they were supplied quickly. The house is really lovely (view of the river is amazing!), hot tub is a great perk, and the location is excellent. We were close enough to Bath and to grocery stores to make it easy getting provisions, yet the house is set back from the road, making it a relaxing retreat. And Bath turned out to be a terrific jumping off point for visiting a lot of attractions in mid-coast Maine. If you stay here (and you should!), take a drive over to the Doubling Point Lighthouse (it's on the way to Reid State Park). It's fun to see the lighthouse up close and then to walk from the house over to the boat launch, where you can also see the lighthouse across the river. One thing to note is that there are actually two bedrooms with queen beds and two bedrooms each with a twin. One of the rooms is pretty tiny (good for a child), but we were able to comfortably sleep five adults (two couples, one single) and one toddler. Highly recommend this place!

    AnnMarie2014-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had the perfect mini seaside vacation based at Philip's beautiful house in Bath. It is ideally located for some of Maine's most stunning beaches (including a private beach we were kindly allowed access to), pretty seaside towns (including Wiscasset) and great places to eat (Five Island Lobster co, Red's Eats etc.). The house is charming, spacious, airy, and beautifully clean, with everything one might need. Downtown Bath is close by for supplies, good places to eat, and the Maritime Museum. We couldn't have asked for anything more ideal. Pip is a kind and gracious host. We very much hope that we'll be back!

  • House was on the river with scenic views. The house was cute and clean and really perfect accommodations for our group. Thanks Pip!

  • Pip did his utmost to making us feel at home and answered all our questions promptly. The house was great, as was downtown Bath, the surrounding nature, lobsters shacks etc!

Riggsville now known as Robinhood is a quaint and historic village on Georgetown island. Rich in history, this island community remains much as it was. Next door to the schoolhouse is Robinhood Free Meetinghouse that offers coffee, baked goods and breakfast fare on weekends and music venues during the week. A short walk (1/2 mile) is Derecktor/Robinhood Marina and the Osprey restaurant. Reid State Park is a ten minute drive with sandy and rocky beaches. Walking trails are numerous on the island.
Step back in time. Historic 1800's schoolhouse in Robinhood. Kitchen features Vulcan stove, honed granite counters and tiled floors. Bright family room, warm living and formal dining room and two full baths. There is a private backyard with a small patio and seating for four.
  • We had a great stay at the Riggsville Schoolhouse. Our little family was there for almost a month. The Georgetown area and home were perfect for a relaxing getaway. Doug and Angie were super hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Some of the great aspects of the home- It's located in a quiet area - not many houses on the street, within walking distance of Marina and restaurant, across the street is historic Robinhood Meeting house that offers coffee and bakery items on the weekend, the all season room off the kitchen is a great place to read and watch the birds, the big gas stove is the best( makes you feel like a real chef), and there's a pond and swimming hole nearby. One thing to be aware of is the upstairs bedrooms have sloped ceilings (watch your head). What made Doug and Angie super hosts- Angie had fresh baked bread and homemade blueberry jam for us when we arrived, they let our three year old son pick strawberries from their backyard garden, they lent us their park pass when they weren't using it, Angie let our son utilize Legos they had in the house and even brought him a toy! The hosts stayed in the garage apartment during our stay but were respectful of our privacy and were available if we needed anything. Doug and Angie we genuinely good people. The Georgetown area turned out to be the best location. Not many people, felt remote but still near restaurants and really nice beaches. We spent many of our days at Reid Beach State Park which offers the best of two beach experiences- the rocky beaches associated with Maine and also one of the only sandy beaches in Maine. The park is about a 15 minute drive down country roads. We could have spent everyday there. Five Island Lobster is about 5 miles down the road and offered up some great lobster and beautiful views. Georgetown country store had the best and least expensive haddock sandwich. Bath is the closest city-about 15 minute drive. If we could have arranged the time, we would have stayed another month. We highly recommend the Riggsville Schoolhouse and the hosts, Doug and Angie.

    Margaret2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a historic school-house located in a quiet accessible location. It was roomy for 4 adults and 2 children. (2 full bathrooms, shower and tub) The hosts had great local advice and gave us free range with a nice vegetable garden- and had a beach pass that we used daily. The kitchen was well supplied with herbs and fresh spices and a range that was easy to use. Other highlights 1-The Meeting house cafe next door had fresh, very good coffee in the morning and live music on some nights. (Carlos the owner had great food and advice, the morning supply of breakfast treats was just right) 2-A nice garden with a bird feeder with good traffic. 3- A sunroom with a garden and bird feeder view. 4-Games and library were fun.

  • This house is bigger than it shows in the pictures. Lots of room and space. Big kitchen, two living rooms and two bathrooms made it very comfortable for all of us. We loved the history of the original part of the house. Very beautiful. Doug and Angie were accommodating with anything we needed.

    Tiffany2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a amazing time. The house is beautiful and it was cooler inside than I expected. There was plenty of room for my family of 7. There is so much to do within an hours drive, wish we could have stayed longer. The fresh lettuce and strawberries from the garden were amazing and it was just really nice.

    Krystal2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • This home is very cozy and relaxing. Very roomy with a great kitchen and dining area. All aspects of hosting a nice house have been heeded. Hosts are welcoming and gracious. Close to a marina, restaurant, beaches, swim pond, hiking, and coffee and scones across the street each am. I would definitely like to return when in town.

    adri2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Doug and Angie are quick to respond to you and their home is comfortable and lovely. A very scenic and historic home not just a house. Close to the many attractions: beaches, harbors quaint towns, and the Maritime Museum. It is very easy to bake Maine blueberry pie in their kitchen. The whole house smelled delightful.

Our cozy cottage is nestled in a pine grove, just steps across the dirt road from the majestic Popham Beach. Enjoy the peace and quiet of a vintage hide-away in Popham as we have done for the past 50 years. We are a short walk away from Spinney's Restaurant & Percy's. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, families and pets. Although we note a minimum stay of 3 nights, bookings in July through the first week of September require a 7-night minimum stay.
  • Cute little cottage by the sea. What more could you want? Quiet residential street with little to no traffic. Within walking distance to a waterfront restaurant/bar. Perfect for couples or those with young children. Note: No heat, so bring plenty of firewood if staying later in the season.

    Edward2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is in a fantastic spot with the right away to one of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches. If you enjoy rustic and cozy and want to spend time walking and relaxing on a beach, this is the spot for you. Also, walking distance to Spinney's restaurant is an added feature---great fresh seafood. Do know there is no heat (other than a fireplace--bring your own wood--lots of bundles of wood for sale on the way) and no (URL HIDDEN) in cooler weather, bring wood and an extra comforter and bring fans in the summer. We will be back--it is a wonderful spot.

    Donna2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet cottage. Our favorite spot was on the screened-in porch. We drank coffee and watched the sunrise and spent happy hour there in the afternoon. The walk to the beach was very convenient. We took a cooler to the beach along with a small fold-up table we brought with us. That way we had beverages and snacks handy. We had lots of day visitors and they all loved the location. Two of us have taken the short boat trip with Captain Ethan to Seguin Island to view the island and lighthouse. It does require climbing into a dingy for the landing and climbing stairs to the top of the island, but well worth the trip. Popham Beach is just magical.

    Kathleen2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is so comfortable and cozy! The beach access was so easy and we could not have had a better time!

    Darren2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a sweet little place. Convenient to the beach and small store and casual dining! But tucked in to feel private. We would stay here again!

  • Very comfortable beds. Super easy beach access. Easy check in and very comfortable place to stay. Great games to play - we especially enjoyed playing several games of Sorry! Victoria is a superb communicator.

    Leslie2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cozy little cottage. It is only a short walk to the beach. The bathroom is quite small but there is plenty of hot water and modern plumbing. Very clean.

    William2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 days during the quiet part of the season. This is a sweet cottage/camp located a short walk from one of the most pristine sandy beaches I have ever visited! During low tide you can access and hike up Fox Island and walk on the shore for miles. This cottage is located in a friendly, quiet neighborhood and a short walk to Percy’s general store (loved this place), Spinney's restaurant, and Fort Popham. Victoria was the perfect hostess, attentive with communication and response time. When there was an issue with the accommodations, she took action to solve the situation right away. This camp is small, but has a great comfortable double bed and 2 twin beds. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in, but not a lot of room to work with. It is cozy and small and we used it mostly for as base camp for exploring the shores of Popham Beach.

The Sparrow's Nest Cottage is located on a quiet country road, minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor. It is a great spot for some well deserved R&R in such a hectic world. You may catch the scent of lilac or lavender on a breezy afternoon, depending on the time of the season. You may also spot deer eating apples, or rabbits enjoying some clover. We never know who will stop by for a snack! If you are looking for a simple, calming getaway, this is the place for you. FYI-WE ARE SOLAR POWERED
Catch a falling star...comfy cozy beds ( I am all about a comfortable bed that won't hurt my back). Live in the country, be happy! These are close by: yoga, hiking trails, kayaking, botanical gardens, restaurants, shopping, boat tours, farmer's market (Thursdays), need I say more? We love this place ❤️. Come and join the fun! Oh, did I mention the outdoor shower? Sweet! Interesting fact...this house was framed with the trees from our property. The bed frame on the first floor was built with old beams from a house dating back to the late 1700's. We have been featured in DownEast magazine as well. Oh, and we did all the work ourselves, what fun it has been!!! This is truly a special place.
  • A little piece of heaven!! Suzie's home is like walking into a cross between Better Home and Garden Magazine and Architectural Digest. The space is designed with ever consideration from top to bottom. I highly recommend taking a shower with nature in the outdoor shower before leaving this quaint cottage. Truly a peaceful and relaxing place in nature while still being close to local attractions. On top of a beautiful space Suzie and Neil are a lovely couple with diverse backgrounds and experiences to share. I will definitely be back!

  • The Sparrow's Next was wonderful. Suzie and Neil are excellent hosts and their place is beyond special. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The comfort and attention to detail exceeded all of our expectations. We changed our plans to make sure we could eat dinner there at least one night. We miss it already. The fire pit and stars were amazing. We fell in love with Maine and this place!!

  • The Sparrow's Nest was an amazing sanctuary for my husband and myself. We stayed for 3 evenings for our anniversary and it was our best AIRBNB experience and, we have had many wonderful experiences. If you are looking for lovely, chic, super clean, private accommodations, you have found all that and more at Suzie and Neal's Sparrow Nest. They have thought of everything to make your stay unforgettable. The outside shower, fire pit, gorgeous decor and fresh flowers in every room made our trip outstanding. The linens, and bath and body products were top of the line. Suzie surprised us with a bottle of bubbly for our anniversary and local apples, bagels, cream cheese, butter and cream. The peace and tranquility of our surroundings made it easy to relax and decompress. And Suzie and Neal are such lovely, generous people. The location was tucked away but, also near the quaint shops and waterfront. My husband and I were sad to leave. And we look forward with great anticipation to our next trip to the Sparrow's Nest.

It was very well equipped. Michael was great about providing detailed information about the house and things to do in the area. He was also quick to respond to all of my questions. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

Thank you again Michael !

  • We stayed at Maine Stowaway for a family vacation with 6 adults and 1 toddler and loved it! The location is great and the house is fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. There is a box of toys on the patio outside that our 2.5 year old daughter couldn't get enough of... as well as a tire swing and great views. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. The furniture throughout the house was of high quality. The area around Southport Island and Boothbay Harbor makes for a perfect vacation. We ate at Oliver's in Southport one night and it was fantastic. Another night we got steamed lobsters to go from Robinson's which were delicious. We would return to this area and this house again for another vacation.

  • The Maine Stowaway Cottage met all of our needs for a family vacation including my two grand children ages 4 and 2. The house was just as advertised on airbnb. We were pleasantly surprised to find lots of toys for the grand kids to play with.

  • This is an excellent property. It's a 3 story modern unit with Bedrooms and full baths on all 3 levels. The deck provides outstanding views of the harbor. We were a family of 4 (2 boys ages 11, 13) and 2 dogs. Our dogs enjoyed the outside yard, and our boys enjoyed playing badminton. The property is very close to Boothbay Harbor, which is a really nice spot. Our favorites included: Dinner at Port of Italy Dinner at Oliver's Restaurant Dinner at Boathouse Bistro Gong to the nearby beach and General Store. The Boothbay YMCA - really good Y (if you are into fitness/working out) For our Dogs we took them to Porter's Point and Owen's Preserve. The host was super nice and very helpful. She was great to deal with. She has taken great pride in offering a quality experience for her guests, and she has delivered. The house is well appointed and its done right. Would I recommend this others? Absolutely. Would I go back? You bet.

  • Seven of us recently spent a week at the Stowaway Cottage and enjoyed it very much. As described, the house sits high on a hill with beautiful views of the harbor below. It's very close to a nice little corner store, and it's an easy drive into Boothbay Harbor. We found a lot of great restaurants! The house is nicely furnished, and the kitchen is particularly well stocked. We enjoyed cooking some meals there (also used the grill) and eating on the deck right off the second floor kitchen/living area. One note regarding the four bedrooms: There are two large, very nice master bedrooms, one smaller room with bunk beds, and one very small room with a pull out sofa. Since there were three couples in our group, one pair definitely got the short end. The house would be perfect for two families, though. All in all, we would recommend the Stowaway Cottage if you are looking for a relaxing, convenient retreat on the coast of beautiful Maine.

  • I have had wonderful experiences on over a dozen Airbnb stays. This is only the second problem. For $392 per night off season, I would expect paper towels, enough shampoo and dish washing detergent to last the week, propane in the gas grill (lasted half a meal....), a kitchen burner that would go on low (really hard to cook on high all the time), and some water pressure in the kitchen sink. Any one or two or even three problems like this would not be an issue, but this was a grind. We only had 2 people most of the time, 4 for a couple of nights, and I am so glad of that.

The best of Maine’s working waterfront of Boothbay Harbor. This charming John Libby Oak post and beam boathouse is a waterside retreat with stunning views of islands of Rachel Carson Coastal Greenway in the Sheepscot Estuary.
A true picturesque coast of Maine retreat with abundant marine birds, wildlife and amazing westerly sunsets. An open fireplace and wood stove add the perfect romantic charm.
Beautiful coastal Maine town with abundant opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Boothbay Harbor offers many attractions, including the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, aquarium, historic opera house performing arts center, YMCA, lighthouses, and a picturesque 1,000-foot footbridge which connects the east and west sides of the inner harbor.
  • The views say it all. We enjoyed a great month there and Carlton did whatever he could to make our stay just that The location is quite and wonderfully scenic while being only 3 miles to Boothbay Harbor. While there are neighbors not too far off, it is quite private and the views are to die for. When looking for a place, my partner said we need to fine a place with a "there to the there". We did

  • Everything at the property was perfect. The hot tub and fire place were our favorite parts (aside from the gorgeous view, of course)! We appreciated the dishwasher and washer/dryer, as well as the close proximity to town for a lobster roll or fresh seafood to bring back and cook. Highly recommend this property for a fantastic little respite from life!

  • Carlton's cottage is beautifully located over looking the harbor and the cottage itself is wonderful. We enjoyed morning coffee while watching the occasional harbor seal swim along the bay before setting out on our daily adventure around Maine. Cocktails and hot tub on the deck while watching the sunset over the bay was followed by a nice fire to close out the day. We were pleased at the seclusion of the property and of course the wonderful fresh lobster! We didn't expect nor even inquire but having wifi was a pleasant surprise and just 3 short miles into town brings all the quaint shopping and restaurant nightlife you could want. My wife and I truly loved this property and Carlton's hospitality was a perfect mixture of don't be shy and ask away while at the same time leaving us to our own business.

  • Carlton was a great host. His house on the water cannot be beat. Close to town with lots to do in the area, this house is a gem!

    Matt2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great house. Great host. Unbelievable views of the water and quick access to a ton of fun things to do and eat make this house a MUST RENT. It's a "working dock" so during the season if you have any desire to check out anything about lobstering the host is more than happy to help but if you're looking for privacy he's equally accommodating. We were there 2 weeks and didn't see him until the day we left. When we did we wished we would have gone lobstering. WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY.

    Austin2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect relaxation spot! A great quiet cottage with a million dollar view. Everything you need is right there for you, and just a short drive to the harbor. Excellent restaurants in the area but nothing beats the small shops coming into town that offer delicious lobster rolls. Carlton was a great host making sure we had everything we needed. With so many options for seafood markets, Carlton was kind enough to deliver us fresh caught lobsters that were amazing. I will definatly book a trip here again.

  • We had a lovely weekend at Richard's house. It is well-situated and ideal for visiting Popham beach. The house was clean and well-equipped, with a very pleasant kitchen and living area. We especially enjoyed the view. We would love to return. Thank you!

    Joanna2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's place was great. Beautiful spot in Phippsburg, Maine, great views less than five minutes walk from the house. Was very accommodating for five of us. Most of the details were through a third party in a nearby town, and he was helpful too.

    James2015-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Two friends and I spent three nights at Richard's place. It is a very commodious space. The kitchen was large and well equipped. There were lots of games and books to keep everyone entertained. I actually thought the property was a lot nicer than the photos suggest. It is a lovely space to relax. Popham beach is less than 10 minutes away so every morning we drove there to walk along the beach. It is very beautiful. Richard was very responsive to questions. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Very comfortable house in a secluded, wooded area. Convenient to places of interest as possible in rural Maine. Very quiet, good view of Penobscot Bay from deck. Would definitely use again.

  • Richard is very responsive to questions concerning the house . We had a lovely time there. It is very quiet and the sunrise is just like the picture from the living room window. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. And the size of the kitchen is a huge plus with 4 of us there. Only regret was there is no path to the water but the view from the deck is lovely. We also enjoyed watching the blue heron in the pond in the ravine from the living room window. great place to rest and relax.

    Brenda2016-10-17T00:00:00Z

Overlooking Fort Popham, the Kennebec River and entrance to Popham Beach State Park. The eagle population is back and there is a nest on the Bay. Private wharf for relaxing or fishing!
Downstairs is a private queen size bedroom. Upstairs is a loft divided into two spaces. One side has a king and twin bed. The other a twin. In summer of 2017 there was a slow leak in our water tank. This was causing a salty taste to tap water as it was draining the well. This has been replaced and getting better as the well refills. We always have Poland spring water cooler for drinking.
Morses Mountain is minutes away for a 1.5 mile hike to Sea Wall beach. Sebasco Resort is minutes away for golf or kayaking. LL Bean and shopping outlets in Freeport an hour away. Booth Bay Harbor Botanical Gardens an hour away. Bath the next town over for shopping and restaurants :20 minutes and Brunswick :30. Lots of nature preserves and trails in Phippsburg. Historic Fort Popham and Fort Baldwin across the bay to explore. Trips to Seguin Island for a tour of the lighthouse leaves from Fort Popham. A lot of the restaurants in town are seasonal. I can always advise!:)
  • The area is peaceful and beautiful. The house is pretty and has everything one might need. We did not see Meg at any point in our star, nor we received instructions about how to clean up when we leave. That would have been useful.

  • This place is great. View of the water and proximity to Popham Beach is definitely the highlight. Heads up the house water is not potable, and even for showering and brushing teeth it was a little gross--especially for our small kids!

  • We arrived in the dark so didn't appreciate the incredible natural beauty of the cottage's location. With the wonderful freshly laid eggs left in the fridge for us, we breakfasted on the balcony overlooking the water without another soul in sight. It was glorious. The cottage is off the beaten track, which is great. Set in wonderful nature and with some interesting nearby curiosities to enjoy (the civil war fort was a great, unexpected find). Well-stocked with kitchenware and well-furnished, I would definitely come again.

  • We had a wonderful, relaxing family vacation at this gem by the water. The house was clean, larger than we expected, and situated on a beautiful, peaceful spot. The kids loved hiking on the rocks. We spent all day at Popham Beach (using the beach pass Meg left with us), enjoying unusually hot weather. We also checked out the fort. Meg was nice enough to offer to mail my daughter's beanie baby that she left behind. The kids are already asking when we can go back.

Enjoy the best of coastal Maine! This waterfront cottage is located on several wooded acres on Wyman Bay at the mouth of the Kennebec River. Enjoy a large deck, screened in porch and easy access to the shore. This quiet location is 3 miles to Popham Beach, Fort Popham, and a short walk to the Wilbur Trail Preserve. Perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, striper fishing. Eagles, ospreys, and seals greet you each day. Enjoy golf, seafood, beaches, and hiking trails - all nearby.
You will have the entire upstairs to yourselves: 2 bedrooms, a bathroom connecting the two rooms, and a den with a sofa, coffee machine, mini refig, microwave, TV and toaster oven.
The end of Cox's Head is a beautiful piece of land belonging to the Phippsburg Land Trust. A well marked trail to the top will give you a breath taking view of the Atlantic Ocean, two lighthouses, the Popham village and Fort Popham. This is a small walk from my house and is a great destination. It's a lovely place for a picnic lunch - weddings have even taken place at the top! Also, you are only 40 minutes to L. L. Bean and outlet shopping. Popham Beach is 3 miles up the road, kayak rentals are 15 minutes away.
  • Nancy's home is a beautiful space off the beaten path (for us city folk). It's a perfect mix of "rustic" and comfortable accommodations. There are tons of outdoor activities nearby (note: kayack rental is 25 min drive but totally worth it). This is the perfect place for a couple who wants a nice place to sleep in a beautiful, quiet location after a full day of activities. The back deck is a beautiful place to sit, read and relax. This is a great place to stay for local beach, kayacking and trails.

    Allyson2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's home was the perfect start to our Maine vacation and a wonderful getaway from the city! Her beautiful home is nestled in the woods and has the most serene ocean cove view. Nancy was a superb host. She went out of her way to send information about Phippsburg in advance and gave some great tips once we arrived. We were only here for two nights, but thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back in a heartbeat!

    Ellen2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • The outdoor setting is quiet and beautiful. Bird watching was a pleasure with the changing tides on the river and being surrounded by woodlands. The indoor space has clear views of all of the outdoor beauty. It is quite comfortable and very clean. Many things are supplied for your daily comfort and for the beach in case you have forgotten something! Had a most enjoyable week with sun everyday at beautiful Popham Beach which is very short drive away.

    Dawn2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's place is very well maintained, clean, nicely furnished, decorated, and supplied, and the grounds/gardens are beautiful. The views are very scenic, and the area is very quiet. Our stay was short, so we did not have much opportunity to take advantage of the hikes and beaches in the area, but would love to do so someday. Nancy is a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again if we travel to this area.

    Julie2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I echo what others have said: The space is clean, light, private, and has a spectacular view, right by the water, no other houses visible, close to walks and other outdoor activities. This is a place for nature-lovers, not active nightlife, but Bath is about 20 min, and Portland and PWM airport only about an hour. Nancy was responsive and helpful, and her recommendations were reliable (e.g., Wilbur Preserve, Morse Mountain trail and Seawall Beach). No real kitchen (mini refrig, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker), which some might consider a drawback if staying more than 3-4 days.

    Tony2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's home is lovely and thoughtfully appointed for guests. The rooms were private, clean and comfortable, and the view is beautiful. We will happily stay there again when we're in the area!

    Aude2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's house was very quiet and relaxing, which is just what we were looking for. We visited after the tourist season had ended so there was not much in the way of places to eat out. Make sure you pick up some groceries if you are visiting in the late fall/winter. The hiking and walks on rocky maine beaches are second to none. We would absolutely recommend staying at Nancy's house.

    Lindsey2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice and clean place in a quiet and scenic area. I really enjoyed my stay! The house is a little bit off of the main road in the woods and the closest restaurant/grocery store is also a couple of miles away, which makes for a very relaxing vacation. However, I'd recommend bringing a car :)

This cottage is good for couples, families with kids or groups. It sits on the water at the mouth of the Kennebec with amazing views of Fort Popham. Includes pass to Reid State Park. 5 minutes to shared First Beach. Half-tide dock requires carrying kayak a few feet at low tide. Kayaks from seaspraykayaking can be delivered right to cottage.
There is a deck with an awning and furniture for lounging while taking in the spectacular view. Action on the river is always a source of fun. You can hear distant voices from across the river at Popham Beach. My renters agree its a very magical place.
Georgetown is a pleasantly secluded island with many public lands and nature preserves for hikes and exploring. There is a short drive to the nearest country store, and a few minutes more to two restaurants. Beyond that, it's 20 minutes to Bath, where you can find anything you need.
  • Charming home in a beautiful setting. Just far enough out of town to feel remote, but close enough to venture in for coffee. I would stay here again, I would just make sure it was earlier in the season as it does get a chilly.

    Marc2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a family vacation if what you're looking for is quiet seclusion in a scenic outdoor playroom. Sam was very attentive to our needs remotely and quick to answer emails. The beach near the property was a gem. Wish we had stayed longer.

    Josh2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • beautiful, tasteful place. isolated retreat with great views. The experience of waking up in the master bedroom with tons of windows, surrounded by water, rocky shorelines, and the sunrise pretty much epitomizes the allure of Maine. Not a great place if you want a ton to do, as Georgetown is pretty isolated. But if you just want an isolated few days, it's perfect. We stayed late in October and despite there being no central heat, the provided space heaters and electric blankets made It plenty cozy. A little complicated finding the place in the darkness, so if you show up later in the day, don't forget a flashlight.

    Filip2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is really suited for family vacation. It is nicely located so you can access water for kayaking. The house is well maintained, clean, and well equipped. The owner, Sam is very nice and accessible for questions. The description is accurate. The family had a great time.

  • Awesome place, great views, Sam is quick to respond to any issues. Enjoy!

    Todd2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great find! Location was great to relax and had a beautiful view and still close enough to enjoy all the great towns on route 1. Be sure to rent that Canoe/kayak ahead of time or you will surely regret not being able to get to half beach once you are there. Reid State park is great for the family - show up early and take a walk down mile beach, you will end up making a few trips there. Its worth the drive to go into Brunswick on Maine street each night for tons of great restaurants options - much better than what the Georgetown restaraunts had to offer. If you plan on just staying at the cottage be sure to hit the store in Bath/Brunswick before heading down to Georgetown. Highly recommend booking this place on September 12th for an awesome view of the new Zumwalt class destroyer to depart Bath Iron works on its voyage to Norfolk.

  • This place is special in every way. Unique property in a fabulous location. Easy to get to town, the Maritime Museum and points north. Very clean and comfortable. Very spacious and everything you need is readily available! Without a doubt we will go back. Sherb is a most gracious host.

  • The place was beautiful! Full of character and you have everything you might need. The view was also beautiful. There was a hammock in a balcony and delicious almond scones were left for us upon our arrival. It was very cozy and homey

  • This place is absolutely amazing, it's hard to do it justice in pictures. It's very open and has a beautiful balcony with a hammock and in a beautiful location. On top of this, Sherb and Nancy are fantastic hosts, very friendly with lots of great advice. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!!
