  • Very clean and well presented. Perfect location for us in the Avenues. There is a 24 hour Sainsbury's 20 yards away and a great all-day restaurant on the corner. Free parking outside, and the bus stop a few yards away. Katie, who met us, was very flexible in the arrival time.

  • Clean, smartly presented, home in a nice location. Unfortunately Natalie's flights were cancelled so she was in the house during our visit, but she was very discreet. Pros: V clean V nicely designed and presented Great location - a number of bars and restaurants nearby but the road itself is quiet. Cons: Shower head has to be held during shower, and no shower screen so have to be careful not to get water outside of the bath. Oven wasn't working (or at least we couldn't figure it out!)

Swimming pool & sauna from 1/3/18, garden to use anytime! Kingsize master with en-suite plus single bed & bathroom. Well equipped kitchen m/w, d/w, w/m own patio garden.

    The highly regarded historic town of Beverley, East Yorkshire boasts an excellent range of local amenities including an extensive range of shops including the newly opened Flemmingate with its cinema and cafes.   • This is a beautiful chalet even down to the smallest detail. Everything was very clean and surprisingly spacecious. Great base to be used to visit Bridlington and the beach is only a short walk away. The area is nice and quiet. Also stunning views to be enjoyed from the living room and patio area.     A warm welcome awaits you at Swabys Yard, a home from home ready for you to explore Beverley and the surrounding areas. It has a central location complete with parking, or the bus station is a 2 minute walk and the train station is a 5 minute walk away for those arriving or exploring by public transport. The bedrooms can be adapted for families (double and 2 twin beds, cot on request) or couples (1 double, 1 superking) and well behaved pets are welcome.
    Our welcoming apartment is on the first floor with a secure shared entrance to the front door. There is off street parking for an average sized car. The apartment has everything you need from all the normal kitchen utensils, microwave, hob and oven, TV with freeview, DVD player, wifi, DVDs, cards, washing machine with dryer, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, dressing gowns and cot available on request. Tea and coffee are provided to get you going and there is a large supermarket just over the main road. There is a sofa bed in the lounge with bedding provided on request.
    Swabys Yard is right in the centre of Beverley hidden away in a side street away from all the normal noise of a town centre yet within a minute walk you are in the market place with many boutique and individual shops that Beverley is known for. Beverley has many excellent restaurants and bars for you to explore and is close to Hull which is the City of Culture 2017. There is one off-road designated parking place with on street parking or carparks nearby for additional cars (charges apply). The Beverley Westwood is 5 minutes walk away to exercise yourself or your dog.

The apartment itself is great! There's no better place to stay in Beverley - Tescos is 30 second walk away and the town centre is 30 seconds in the opposite direction. Perfect!!!     Luxury accommodation for up to 6 people situated in the heart of Yorkshire's Nature Triangle. Formerly a stable block and cart shed, this historic building has been lovingly restored by the owners, Katy & John, using reclaimed and sustainable materials. The walls are insulated with locally grown hemp and lime plaster provides a beautiful textured and rustic finish. Furnished with every attention to detail, bedrooms and bathrooms have been designed with relaxation and comfort in mind. Two of the bedrooms have an en suite shower / toilet room (one is wheelchair accessible with roll in shower and underfloor heating) and there is also a family bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.   • John and Katy were so welcoming and incredible hosts. We had a family get together so there was 6 of us plus a dog. The welcome basket (homemade bread, jam, butter, fresh eggs etc.) was superb and even had a little basket for Evie our dog. The Cart Shed has been renovated to a high standard- the photos and description are spot on, although the place is even better in person than it is in the photos. The rooms were clean and tidy and beds comfortable. Shower in bedroom one is amazing! Kitchen had everything we needed and the added bonus of a BBQ in the garden is a wonderful touch and we were glad the weather was so good that we got to use it. The location is excellent and easily accessible to visit places- we visited many places including Whitby, York and Fraisthorpe beach which was beautiful and you can take dogs. Overall I can not recommend the Cart Shed at Swallows Nest enough, although I want to keep it a secret so we can return whenever we like! We are looking forward to booking again in the future and seeing the future renovations.

  • A beautifully converted property, the cart shed is brilliant for families and anyone who appreciates the ease of being on one level or needs accessible facilities. The welcoming touches offered by the hosts are lovely, the hamper, and fresh eggs, and they are on hand to talk you through everything you need to know. It's on a farm and feels and smells rural! If you're ok for a bit of a walk it's only 20 minutes into the village where there are a couple of pubs, a chippie and a shop for any grocery needs. About half an hour by car there's Hull, or beaches or nature reserves, so plenty to do. I would recommend staying here.

  • The swallows nest is as beautiful as the pictures suggest. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The living space itself was immaculate. We were given a welcome pack including eggs, granola, fresh bread, scones and prosecco. This was a lovely touch, as was the personalised welcome letter. I couldn't recommend staying here any more highly. You won't be disappointed.

  • The Cart Shed is absolutely beautiful and is a an ideal spot for visiting the life affirming Yorkshire coast. John & Katy are wonderful hosts and have thought about absolutely every detail to make a stay at the Cart Shed memorable, from the personalised welcome basket (including chocolate buttons for the children, dog biscuits for the furry ones & a very thoughtful mini bottle of prosecco for a tired Mummy at the end of the day). The room are all spotlessly clean, light, bright and beautifulfully decorated and have very comfortable beds with sumptuous bedding for a great nights sleep. The ensuite bathrooms are of an incredibly high standard and even have an accessible wet room in one (which is luxuriously functional). The kitchen has everything you would have in your own house and has a all the necessary modern amenities. I loved the eco products and recycling system. Although my party only consisted of me and 2 young children, the living space would comfortable accommodates 6 adults and the fire burner is a wonderful feature. While the Cart Shed is beautiful, it is also extremely homely and child friendly. Katy very kindly provided a spotlessly clean high chair and travel cot which meant I could bring less which was great. I can not recommend this gorgeous place highly enough.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay. The facilities were great, the rooms were immaculate, and the hamper that we were given was fantastic (LOVED the muesli). Personally, I'd have to say that the bed I slept in was tremendously comfortable too. John and Katy were very helpful, especially before the stay, and the whole first-time-airbnb experience was an extremely positive one thanks to them.

    Excellently situated 2 bedroomed ground floor apartment, with parking space. It is just 5 minutes walk into the town centre with all the restaurant, cafes and bars. The magificent Beverley Minster is also less than 5 minutes from the accommodation.
    There are 2 bedrooms 1 double 1 single with a pull out bed underneath the single. It also a sofa bed in the living area. Everything is on the ground floor.
    All the amenities are within walking distance from the apartment. The magificent Beverley Minster is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. Train station just a short distance from the apartment which goes to several destinations. Including Hull the city of culture 2017.
  • Perfect place in a really good location. Everything finished beautifully, a very kind and thoughtful welcome pack was waiting for us. Perfect after a good few hours in a car. Easy to walk into town. Great quality beds, for a good nights sleep. Linda was the perfect host, informative and great communication without being intrusive. Would highly recommend Linda's place to anyone considering it.

    Large comfortable farmhouse with all year round hot-tub, heated outdoor swimming pool (May to October,) and gas barbecue. Newly installed kitchen with range cooker. Great cycling and walking routes on the doorstep.
    This is an excellent base for 12-14 people to enjoy God's own county to the Wolds and beyond. Our keen cycling family will provide routes and all relevant information for cyclists and walkers if required.
  • We had the most amazing weekend at Greenlands. The house is just fantastic - exceptionally clean, great kitchen and dining facilities for a large number of people. The hot tub is an added bonus! We will definitely return, the perfect getaway for a group of friends!

  • We visited Pam's house for the weekend for my mums hen do. There was a group of 10 of us and we had the best time. The house is utterly beautiful, everything about it. All the bedrooms are individually decorated and very cosy. We all loved the kitchen and the size of the dining room meant we could all eat together which was lovely. The 2 living rooms are a great size as well, one of them was big enough for us all to sit on the sofas and watch films and play a few games. We visited Harrogate to go to Betty's tea room on Saturday which Pam recommended, then came back to the house and had champagne in the hot tub. It really was the perfect location for my mums hen do and we all had the best time. We are already trying to plan when we can return. Thank you so much Pam it was amazing x

  • Greenlands Farmhouse is the perfect base for a great weekend :) Myself and family/friends visited to celebrate my partners 30th birthday and what a fantastic weekend we had! We spent the entire weekend hauled up in the Farmhouse, playing card games in the cosy front room with the log fire going, making a huge roast dinner for us to enjoy in the dining room, taking advantage of the lovely hot tub in the freezing sleet and wind! It doesn't take long to get into York itself to visit all it has to offer too, if that's what you'd prefer! Pam is a fantastic host and looked after us very well :) I couldn't recommend the farmhouse enough! We plan to visit again in the warmer months to enjoy the outside pool!

  • An absolutely amazing stay. Ell is an amazing host and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Her communication was instant and she provided everything we asked for. This stay was so much more special than staying in a hotel or BnB, Elanor was happy to have a chat with us and we were made to feel really welcome. The hot tub is amazing and super clean. My dog loved the garden, he was a bit over insterested in the greenhouse and managed to jump the fence, I thought we would be safe as he has never attempted jumping before! Our stay was so relaxing and we couldnt believe the amount of space for so little money. We took the dog to a beach nearby, which was massive and there was lots of room to avoid other people and dogs if needed (ours is a bit over exciteable!). The surrounding garden is massive too and it was enough for our dog for walking on some days. I got a few extras for my boyfriends birthday and Elanor cooked the most amazing cake, my boyfriend described it as 'the best cake he has ever had' so I would highly recommend asking for a cake even if it is not your birthday! we also had some other food extras which were locally sourced and really good quality. I can't fault this host at all, the place was spotless, everything in working order and very cosy accomodation...the bed is soo comfy and huge! I want that bed! We also got good weather and was able to spot all the stars each night. When we relaxed in the hot tub we were able to watch a group of blue tits that live in a tree over looking the tub. We don't live too far away so we may pop back for a weekend away.

  • It's hard to find the words to describe our time but here goes: This place was fantastic!! A hidden Gem, I cannot fault any part of our stay at our host Ell's "the old stables". Ell was so kind and accommodating and was on hand should we have needed anything. My fiancée and I had such a wonderful time and Ell's hosting and her place had made her birthday holiday absolutely perfect (minus the weather).     Welcome to the Caravan @ Tadpole, set in a private garden, next to Woodland and open fields, posh camping with the luxuries! Access walks to Allerthorpe common, 10 miles from York city, and a bus stop 15 min walk away. Ideal location if your ready to turn off your phone, put your feet up, and chill with nature. The Caravan can also be used with Tadpole for family reunions, Birthdays or just fiends getting together.
    The Caravan, has its own driveway and garden area so is private from Tadpole Cottage, it has gas central heating and is single glazed. The kitchen living room are open plan with 3 bedrooms, the bathroom has a shower only and sink, the toilet is separate. The views from all the rooms look out onto woodland and arable fields, the skies on a night are free from light pollution so on clear nights the stars are incredible.

We were only provided with 2 towels and we had to share it between 4 people. Also, the design of the main door is a little odd and a potential fire hazard because you must unlock the door with the house key to exit the property (there's no door knob).

  • Our little family (2 little uns, 2 big uns) had a fantastic weekend at the Hideout, visiting Hull for the first time. We could have easily spent all weekend simply sitting in the window seats staring out at the minster opposite, but Hull has so much to offer, and most of it is on your doorstep here. The Old Town, the museums, the culture, the pubs, the Fruit Market, the Deep - there is plenty to keep a family of four busy for a few days. Our football team even won at the KCOM stadium! Who needs to go to Barcelona when you can have a great mini-break like this here in Britain.

    Our lovely Edwardian home is bursting with warmth & character. Close to shops public transport eating places the uni and the city. With a relaxed village feel the leafy avenues area is a great place to stay. We have a shared bathroom with a shower and a bath. This is shared with ourselves and other guests. Cyclists may use our shed to safely store their cycles. Our south facing garden has a seating area and a bbq available for guests. Parking is available directly outside the house.
    Our home has many original features including elaborate molded ceilings, fireplaces and lincrustia in the hallway. The bay windows and front door have beautiful art deco stained glass.
    we are situated in a lovely leafy avenue, close to shops and restaurants. A short walk will take you to Pearson Park which was given to the city by a local Victorian philanthropist call Zacharia Pearson. Known as the peoples park this is a pleasant green space soon to be transformed by a 3.5 million pound lottery grant. The Avenues have many properties of historic interest and a number of beautiful mermaid fountains.

Not only were we invited to have breakfast with them in the morning instead of having to rush out, but Ruth went out of her way to pick us up after we were dropped off at the wrong place by a rogue taxi! Their hospitality was home from home from start to finish and I couldn't recommend staying with them enough, especially if you like your home comforts and adorable dogs (Koko!).     My place is large studio apartment overlooking Driffield Canal is close to the town centre and is good for people visiting area with excellent rail and bus links. Accommodation is good for couples, small families and business travellers. The accommodation comprises of entrance, 5 star hotel shower room with toilet and WC, combined kitchen, lounge and bed area with stairs leading to second bed area. The apartment has high vaulted ceiling with orginal beams and has been completely renovated.
    Appartment is located within converted historic mill adjacent to the canel head. The building is the most photographed iconic property within the Driffield area.
  • Wow, what can I stay...this place is so beautiful and quirky. Di and Chris have done a wonderful job at making it homely with everything you could possibly need for a trip away. They even provide milk, bread and a large selection of cereals. The location is perfect, quiet by the canal but walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We travel to the area on a weekly basis and would stay every week if it wasn't booked up.

Easy walking distance to all amenities and we loved sitting at the dining table watching all the world go by, down at the canal below. Driffield clearly has more than average colourful characters :) Diana and Chris couldn't have been more accommodating, even though we turned up late on a night when they had social plans, and thoughtfully equipped us with eggs, veggie sausages, bread etc for breakfast. Definitely will stay there again if we find ourselves back over in Driffield!

  • This is a beautiful place, equipped way beyond expectation. We were given a warm welcome by the host who was available to answer any questions. Off street parking is available on site and the train station is across the street. It is a great base for exploring the area. I would highly recommend this property with one caveat that because of many steps it would not be suitable for people with mobility issues. We were 3 adults with 2 young children and it was perfect.

    The apartment is newly converted from a Market Town Hotel which was only comleted at the end of November 2017. It has a light and contemporary feel professionally designed. The sofabed would suit one adult or two children.
    There are lovely walks and cycle routes from the apartment. Secure cycle storage available. There is one Italian Restaurant and two Indian restaurants in Market Weighton. The newly refurbished pub in the town " The Bay horse " serves excellent food and The Londesborough Arms next door serves a good range of cask ales. Other pubs and restaurants close by include: The Michelin Star restaurant "the Pipe and Glass" in a beautiful setting only 7 miles away, also available for lunches and drinks, a lovely bike ride on a sunny day. She has a lovely and tastefully-appointed house, in a quiet back-street that is nevertheless ideally placed for exploring the lovely town of Beverley. She also has a very friendly dog! But, at this price one doesn't expect to share a bathroom, let alone have to go outside and back into the house to get to it. Fortunately for me the weather was fine during my stay, but had it been wet ... overall, I would say Gilly's accommodation suited me very well, but I think it's over-priced.

    We designed and built the apartment at Number Seven between August and December 2016. The accommodation exists as a self contained annex within my home, and part of the joy of designing bespoke lodging from the ground up is the freedom it gives you on focusing on it's prime purpose and then adding some desirable extras. The main room is 5 meters in length, the combination of lashings of natural light and well chosen fittings lending it a light and spacious feel. We added amenities we thought you would enjoy, such as 48" HD smart TV with all your catch up favourites, youtube and a selection of free movies that pivots for comfortable viewing be that from bed or seating area, USB charging sockets, soundproofing, thermal insulation, a fully equipped kitchen and an independent heating system meaning you can set the perfect temperature you enjoy be that for relaxing or sleep. I am not someone who believes rental accommodation should be laminate floors and melamine wardrobes, so you will find some very pleasant furnishings and fittings, a welcome king size bed with quality mattress and cotton rich bedding, tactile fabrics and floorings of tile, real slate and the finest Westex pure wool carpet. I am particularly proud of the lighting design - we placed all the main lights on dimmers and combined them with lamps and light features while adding a colour scheme and fittings that allow for the interplay of light leading to some lovely options for setting a homely mood for you to enjoy - we really do encourage you to have a good old play with your fun options. In summer it is THE place for alfresco drinking and dining. Pearson Park is opposite the house. Your access to the accommodation is via private road, which means it is both quiet, and offers excellent vehicle security.

    A Spacious barn conversion situated on a working sheep and pig farm. The barn adjoins our farmhouse but is completely self contained. All rooms are well equipped, spacious and light and airy. Ideally located in rural countryside yet close enough to the local town of Market Weighton which has a wide range of shops, services, pubs and other amenities. Grazing and stabling is also available if required for a horse with hacking on the Yorkshire Wolds.
    Originally the building was used as pig housing but it had been empty for some years and had fallen into a state of disrepair. It became a case of knock it down or invest in the future. We decided to do the latter and save the building whilst hoping to create comfortable living space for our family and occasional guests! We have saved the original exposed beams, put in wooden flooring, double glazing and oil fired central heating. The kitchen is fitted with electric oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a microwave and separate freezer. A large antique farmhouse dining table can seat up to 18 when fully extended. There's even a three quarter size snooker table in the games/sitting room, a selection of board games and books, large screen TV and DVD player. Stereo system as well! The double bedroom has a king size bed and there's a twin room leading off it with two single beds. The modern bathroom has a large bath, WC and sink with a spacious separate shower cubicle. Please note that access to the bathroom from the twin room is via the double bedroom. There's also a WC off the utility room and ample room for muddy boots and coats. Outside there's a lawned garden area to the rear with a pub style picnic bench to sit and enjoy the views across the fruit orchard. There is a courtyard at the front with plenty of parking space. A charcoal barbeque is also available if required.
    We are situated halfway between Shiptonthorpe and Londesborough, the latter being a historic and privately owned Estate village making it very popular with walkers, riders and cyclists. There are a variety of lovely walks through the park and beyond on the Wolds Way and Hudson Way with an abundance of wildlife from red kites to deer and countless bird species.

    This modern holiday cottage overlooking the Yorkshire Wolds is available for weekly stays or longer (up to 28 days) At times other than school holidays (peak holiday seasons) we can offer short stays of 3 or more nights. See 'Other Things to Note' for details on discounts.
    This building, originally a stable block, has been renovated into a luxury single storey holiday home. With stunning exposed brickwork and restored original roof trusses, it's a great retreat for a quiet holiday. The property has 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins (which can also be a double) an en-suite, a wet-room, a large bathroom and a large open plan living, dining & kitchen area. The underfloor heating is provided by an Air Source Heat Pump with individual room stats and Solar Thermal Panels heat the hot water. Outside the living room is a securely fenced garden with large patio and BBQ area which overlooks open countryside. Through the garden gate there is a large grassed area where children can run around and play.
    Goodmanham is a small village with a good local pub within walking distance of the cottage. It offers food every lunchtime but just on Monday evenings. We have a tearoom on our premises - The Fiddle Drill - which is now open Wednesday to Sunday 10am - 4pm. Goodmanham village is 1 mile from the town of Market Weighton which in turn is almost midway between York and Hull. In Market Weighton there are local shops, doctor and dentist surgeries, 3 supermarkets and several places to eat or get a takeaway. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a quiet village with a great local pub then this is the place for you!
  • Liz was very welcoming on our arrival. The property itself is absolutely lovely. We were a party of 5 and had more than enough space. It was all very clean and well stocked with the essentials. The view from the garden area is wonderful and we enjoyed most of our meals outside. The surrounding area is very quiet and perfect for a city getaway, the local town also has a large Tesco for all your needs, so you need not go far if you don't want to. Overall, we all had a lovely time and would definitely return again.

  • Fantastic long weekend at The Stables. The stables have been converted to a very high standard whilst keeping some of the original features, everyone in our group was impressed with the quality of furnishings and interior design. The environmentally friendly heating (air source heat pump and solar water) works well, we never had a problem with hot water in the mornings with 6 of us showering & bathing, and the heat pump doesn't make any noise either, we couldn't hear it when sleeping in the master bedroom. The kitchen is very well equipped and Liz had left us a few necessities (tea, milk, coffee, a loaf of bread) which was convenient, though with Tesco, Asda, and other shops in Market Weighton 5 minutes away getting food isn't an issue here. Very well located for exploring East Yorkshire. York is about 40 minutes away, Hull about 30 minutes, and the lovely town of Beverly is about 15-20 minutes away. I have already recommended the Stables to friends and family and will likely book another weekend there myself, especially with it being such great value.

  • The cottage was clean, spacious and with sufficiently amenities. The kitchen space is charming and is great if you'd prefer cooking, instead of eating out. Back yard is equipped with a BBQ grill, a great bonus if you're staying in summer as it comes with a great country side view. Overall a lovely stay, as we enjoyed the cozy yet modern interior style! Only problem we had was that there wasn't any hot water on our last day, but Liz said she will be more aware of that in the future.

    We have a lovely rural location - teeming with wildlife. We are most proud of our tall ancient hedgerows! There are footpaths to Howden where there are many family run shops and cafes - and a Co op that opens late hours

We loved the Vanilla Pod, although compact, it was perfect for our stay and we were provided with fruit and milk, tea and coffee. The little pod a few yards away had all we needed for making a meal, plus and the shower & toilet as well as the bonus of a washing machine. Everything was very clean and we were very happy with the accommodation. It was all set in a lovely rural and tranquil background. We would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again if in the area. The rail station was only 20 mins walk away and it was a 30 mins journey to York. Carol was very accommodating and excellent host.

    HOT TUB exclusively yours! (min. 3 day booking) A full kitchen will replace the Kitchenette from Dec 1st!! A lovely Suite overlooking the courtyard and garden to which you have free access. We are 2.5 miles from Pocklington with plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants. The local pub is a ten minute walk to Fangfoss. We are perfectly placed for walking, cycling or driving holidays. York 12 miles ; coast one hour. Ideal for a couples getaway or can be booked with our barn for up to eight people.
    You have the whole Garden Suite to yourselves. As well as the bedroom you have sole use of the lounge and dining area with a small kitchenette incorporated. The Chesterfield sofa will open into a double bed if required. The adjacent gym has a wet-room and wc that can be used as the bathroom for anyone using the sofa bed. You are welcome to use our courtyard and the garden; we will probably end up sharing a bottle of wine with you :) The property has full central heating and plenty of hot water. If you are staying for 3 nights or more then the Hot Tub is included in the price. If your stay is shorter then you are welcome to enjoy the hot tub subject to the cost to drain/refill/reheat and dose the tub ready for the next guests (£45)

Nice and cosy, bed and sofas really comfy, there is also a great bath! There was a nice kitchen area with everything you needed, with tea and coffee provided even fresh milk too! Chris was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us lots of suggestions for where to eat and drink in Pocklington which is only a few minutes drive away! He also went out of his way to chat with us and show us round his projects and his classic car collection which was a pleasure! We were then shown around the fantastic accommodation, which by far is the best and most characterful AirBnB we have stayed in so far, comparable to a Grand Designs project!   • Chris and Nikki were extremely welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. They arranged for their son, William to complete our check in and the communication was very goof before, after and during our stay. Chris and Nikki were really attentive but also very laid back so we felt really welcome and at home straight away. Chris showed us round his classic car collection and even brought us a little bottle of bubbly one evening after hearing what a nightmare week we'd had with our car. The garden room had everything we needed, and was a great base to explore York and surrounding areas from. We managed to cook. Risotto, curry and a a one pan chicken casserole while we were there so whilst the Kitchen area is a kitchenette as stated, it had all of what we needed. We were also ahown round the other air bnb property while there, which sleeps 4 and is gorgeous. That has gone on our wish list for another time. Thank you Chris!

We booked it to go explore York but the location and house were so fantastic we stayed put for the day. Pearl was lovely, very helpful and easy going. There was a big supermarket five minutes drive away and lots of lovely villages which we missed as we didn't want to leave the locale. A great place for families or couples etc. highly recommended.

    The Cobbles is a new luxury apartment on the first floor above award winning Wine Merchant & Delicatessen Flourish & Prosper. Guests have parking in the courtyard to the rear of the building and at night can close the gate for extra security. The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen, separate double bedroom and spectacular en-suite walk in shower. In the sitting room is a sofa bed which we can provide bed linen for. Should you need to do some work there is a desk and the apartment has wi-fi. There is also a smart TV which can connect to the internet. Outside of the apartment is a laundry room complete with washing machine and tumble dryer to which we can provide access on request. Part of the courtyard below is set out with tables and chairs and planted up with beautiful flowers during the summer. It forms part of a pop up wine bar open at weekends, but guests are welcome to use it.
    Howden is a pretty market town with lots of cafes, independent shops and pubs. 'The Kitchen' is a very popular tearoom and bakery which is well worth a visit and the 'Cheese Shop' is popular for breakfast. Close to the apartment there are Indian and Chinese restaurants as well as Pizza takeaway and Fish and Chip shop. The Shire Hall hosts lots of live music and theatre events as well as a Friday market. In the center of Howden is a beautiful park called The Ashes should you want to stretch your legs.
  • Great location in the heart of pretty Howden. A view of the medieval Minster from the bedroom window. A well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living room and bedroom. The bathroom is particularly nice. It's situated handily above a cool wine shop which hosts weekly wine tastings. There's nowhere else like it in the vicinity.

  • A beautifully appointed apartment, exceptional in fact. Spacious and comfortable with a very tall shower which made my husband very happy. Sean was very helpful with advice on where to go and what to see. And his knowledge on gin was well received including his recommendation to go to Tommy's Wine Bar. A cycle ride along the country lanes around Kilpin Dike is a must. The village of Howden is very friendly and within easy driving distance of York and Beverley.

  • Sean's apartment is brilliant, and for somebody who travels a lot around the world, it was so easy and clean and Sean is a great host. The bed was very comfortable and apartment clean with lots of ameineties available. I only stayed one night but was easy distance to my work the next day, Id recommend this to everyone in the area over any local hotel. The breakfasts at Kitchen round the corner in the village was outstanding, and very good value.

  • An immaculate and well positioned apartment, which was a delight to stay in. We were able to take advantage of the warm day and sit in the private courtyard area in the evening, with a bottle of fizz which we purchased from Sean's shop. Sean was helpful and made us feel very relaxed in the property. His recommendation of 'the kitchen' for breakfast finished off our stay perfectly - a fabulous brunch menu within a quirky deli/cafe, which also sold *amazing* cakes. Overall, the apartment, which is finished to a superbly high standard, was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

    Introduction The apartment is located in the heart of Hull's historic Old Town along the long cobbled lanes of the old High Street, amongst the listed buildings and old, restored warehouses, and nestled snugly beside the banks of the River Hull and River Humber. This is a quiet and affluent area of the Old Town. There are lovely bars and restaurants close by but it’s peaceful if you need to rest. Whether you are coming for a holiday, a romantic trip, to see family or to work, you should find everything you need within the apartment and within the Old Town quarter. The Apartment The view from all rooms in the apartment is breath taking. Looking Southward over the two converging rivers you can while away the time watching trawlers carefully picking their way down the Humber. Beyond the Humber you can see the rolling green of villages for as far as the eye can see. It’s even better at night and takes on a moody and dramatic feel when the tidal barrier and The Deep aquarium light up in stark contrast against the dark waters. If you tire of watching the rivers then enjoy picking out the old warehouses of the restored Fruit Market and Marina. There are many dotted amongst the tightly packed roofs of these historically significant areas. The apartment has free broadband / Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on e-mail, shop, work or research. The furniture throughout the apartment is a blend of modern, pre-loved and antique. Many of the items have a personal story behind them. The apartment is secure, warm, quiet, well sealed, insulated, with double glazing and is perfect for resting, relaxing or quiet entertaining. There is a welcome pack which covers the basics of where to eat, drink and get supplies, and should answer any questions you have about the apartment. The apartment is family / children friendly. Living Area The living area is large with plenty of good, natural light all through the day and there are lots of seating areas including the elegant, vintage dining table, modern bar table and the incredibly comfortable, soft leather couch with large cotton cushions. You can enjoy the water views from all parts of the living room. The carpet has been designed in the style of Art Deco and its simple, striking, geometric pattern brings the eclectic mix of furniture and vivid colours together. There is a large (42") LCD TV with Freeview and a Blu-Ray DVD player too and the Sony CD / iPod player is always ready if you want to enjoy the views with music (there are around 60 CDs which are kept in a wallet nearby which should cover most tastes). Kitchen The kitchen and living room are open plan so you can cook for yourself, or other guests, and entertain at the same time if you want to. We try to keep the basic supplies in to make your arrival comfortable and to avoid you having to rush straight out. Eggs, milk, butter, bread and plenty of other bits and pieces. If you need something specific then please ask. There is good coffee (beans) with a grinder and French press / cafetière and some lovely tea choices. There is a built in fan assisted oven and hob as well as a microwave, kettle and toaster. The cupboards are full of cooking utensils and pots and pans. There is a large integrated fridge with freezer compartment and there is also a washing machine if you need to do any laundry. Master Bedroom There is a beautiful cherry wood sleigh bed in the master bedroom. It’s a double bed and all of the bedding (duvet, pillows, throws, cushions) and towels are provided for you. The bedding is Egyptian cotton, as are the towels. Spare towels are provided too if you're staying a while. The bed has everything you need to get comfy. 4 very good quality pillows, a cotton throw, cotton cushions of different sizes and a duck feather duvet. There is a wall mounted LCD TV if you want to relax and watch TV in bed. There’s a beautiful antique linen box and a beautiful, vintage wardrobe (with good quality, wooden hangers) for hanging your clothes. The master bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom with a large enclosed shower area. New York Bedroom The second bedroom carries an elegant New York theme throughout. You have a double bed, again with everything you need to get comfy. The bedding is Egyptian cotton and the cushions and throw are cotton. The duvet is duck feather as are the cushions. There is a lovely vintage floor lamp and a side table and armchair with a nice big cushion if you want somewhere quiet to sit and read, or just to think. There is a simple and elegant clothes rail with good quality, wooden hangers for your clothes. Bathrooms There are two bathrooms. You should usually find shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and a fresh toilet roll in each as well as a heater and an oak wood duckboard. The main bathroom has a vintage style radio (feel free to move it between the bathrooms) and is very spacious with a good sized bath, shower, large mirror and antique laundry basket. The ensuite has a large shower unit and a good sized mirror. Parking You have your own secure, undercover parking bay within a private carpark, within the grounds of the apartment. Your allocated parking bay for the apartment is just a few metres from the entrance to the building. If you have a second vehicle then there are options for this right nearby. Area It's a short walk to Hull New Theatre (about 10 minutes). Hull Truck is a little further (about 15 minutes). You are also near to The Deep aquarium which is a 5 minute walk, as is the museum quarter. You are already on the Fish Trail (between the Ice Fish and the Eel). Best of all you already in Hull’s historic Old Town quarter and just a 2 minute stroll to the Marina area and the bohemian Fruit Market area (Hull’s answer to New York’s Lower East Side….seriously). They offer a vibrant and cultural eating and drinking experience. Everything you need is nearby and just a short stroll away including a food market, indoor market, cinema, shopping malls, bars, post office and many restaurants. Transport Links You are a 5 minute drive from the North Sea ferry terminal connecting you to mainland Europe. A 12 minute walk to the Hull Interchange connects you to the rest of the UK by train or bus. You are a 30 minute drive from Humberside airport and a 10 minute drive to the M62. Local taxi companies can pick you up from outside the building or there are a number of taxi ranks nearby too. Booking If you are more than 4 guests then please get in touch. It may be possible for the apartment to sleep more than 4 by arrangement in advance. The apartment has two double beds, two bathrooms and a single fold away bed. I try to be flexible and can sometimes take one night bookings if they're not more than a week or two in advance. Please ask and I will try.
    It's a quiet area of the city but there is everything you need. Listed / period buildings are everywhere. Wander along the river or take a walk by the Marina or just get lost amongst the cobbled streets and hidden bars. The water is everywhere. Beautiful during the day and spectacular at night.

  • The flat is just as I had hoped, it's modern with a lovely homely feel, the bedrooms are full of soft cushions, duvets and pillows. The decor is spot on and so is the welcome pack and little helpful signs dotted around. Gavin was attentive and considerate, letting me and my family have a late chew clout so we could explore The Deep and old town. Gavin has thought of everything, so anyone staying will be at home in minutes...

  • Gavin's flat is great! Everything is clean and tidy, modern interior and incredibly spacious. You won't find a better serviced apartment in Hull - certainly not for the price. As a host, Gavin is very conscientious and is always there is you need anything from him. He was even good enough to install wifi for me as I mentioned when I checked in that I'd like to use the internet. The place sits just across from 'The Deep' in Hull's old town (the nice bit of hull) - cobbled streets and plenty of nice pubs just around the corner. I spent a month in Gavin's flat and will definitely stay again should I find myself in Hull (providing that he's not booked up already after this glowing review!)

  • Our host was very welcoming, helpful in the runup to our visit and on our arrival. Gavin ensured we had all the information we needed and a helpful starter stock of food for the weekend. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed - plenty of room and well equipped. It is situated a few minutes walk from the city centre and close to main access roads for trips to the surrounding areas. We enjoyed our stay in a relaxing environment!

  • Although we didn't meet in person, Gavin was very welcoming host, we had an instructional video of the check in and a detailed welcome pack explaining the apartment. The communication from him was great and fed us all the information we needed before our visit. Once we arrived we had a pleasant surprise of fresh milk, loaf of bread and butter, little me to mention the bathroom full of amenities that made the first day in so easy to just relax. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend.

Sleeps up to 19 in 7 bedrooms. Just 45 minutes to York and 20 minutes from the coast this stunning house is perfect for large family celebrations and reunions. Within walking distance to the small market town of Driffield, known as the Capital of the Wolds, and its shops, bars, restaurants and leisure centre.
    This lovely home is half of a much larger house which dates back to around 1830 and was enlarged in 1878 by the famous architect Temple Moore. As a whole, probably the second largest house in the town and listed in Pevsner's English buildings of note East Yorkshire edition. In it's edge of town location it is very private but also conveniently located for local restaurants, shops and bars.
    The town is a small market town, with a morning market every Thursday, and a farmers market on the 1st Saturday of every month. The town's Showground hosts regular fayres, festivals, rallyes, markets and country shows throughout the year including the huge one day country show in July.
  • Amazing home for a large party. We went for a 40th birthday weekend and it was ideal. Well equipped kitchen and dining area for drinks and food. Excellent lounging areas for games, TV and reading. Brilliant bathroom facilities and enough for a large a party. Fantastic scenes and grounds for outdoor fun and games with the family. Highly recommend it and will definitely be going back again! An excellent weekend was had by all!

  • If you are looking for something extra special for perhaps a large family gathering or for a group of friends to enjoy.. less than 45 mins from York this is the perfect house. Maggie and Derek are fantastic.. taking the time to explain everything on arrival so that our stay was perfect. The house has everything your need and more.. furnished and equipped to a very high standard nothing was missing from our stay. We loved using the open fire in the drawing room .. playing board games so generously provided.. as with most homes the kitchen is the heart of the house and what a fabulous kitchen! We really couldn’t fault the hosts or our stay, The Beeches is truly great home!

  • We had just come back from an absolutely wonderful 3 night stay, the host Maggie was absolutely brilliant from the moment that we booked to the time that we left and we could not have asked for a better host. The house itself is beautiful inside and out, very spacious and cosy, we had imagined that a house of this size would be cold but that was not the case , everything that we required during our stay to make it comfortable was available and all of our party had a fantastic time. If anyone is considering booking this house, we would highly recommend it without hesitation.
