Diana was welcoming, friendly & available but unobtrusive. The room was on the 2nd floor & was bright, airy & comfortable. It was nice having a sink in the room & a kettle for making hot drinks. The area was interesting & vibrant with lots of eating places. The off road parking was brilliant, we parked up & didn't use the car again for 3 days. It was well placed being about a 10 min walk to the main Southsea shops & about 20 mins to the seafront. Peter was grateful to Diana's neighbour for lending him a hat which saved his bald head from burning in the sunshine. To cap it all the weather was perfect.

Stewart a été très réactif au téléphone lorsque nous lui avons demandé des renseignements avant l'arrivée. Ensuite une fois à la maison, notre hôte nous a fait visiter et nous a indiqué tous les endroits sympa du quartier. La maison est très mignonne, propre et pratique et la chambre était impeccable. Stewart nous a dit de faire comme chez nous et nous avions la possibilité d'utiliser la cuisine et de servir de quoi petit déjeuner. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Stewart.

Stuart is a great guy, he was very understanding when I got lost and arrived late . I know that I kept him up late, but he was very gracious about it. The house is located in a great area of Southsea with easy access to Palmerston road, Kings Theater and good pubs.

Everything is like described. It is a good location in Southsea, close to Pubs, shopping and the sea front with e.g. South Sea Castle. The room and flat are clean. Stewart is very welcoming and a very friendly host.I enjoyed my stay.

It has been to stay at Stewart's place, even if just for one night! The cottage is lovely and the area is quiet but also close to shops and pubs! We hope to come back someday!

Stewart was the kindest host I've ever had. He was always worried if I was all right and he was offering me things all the time. I strongly reccomend this house, it's a lovely one, very tidy and clean.

Kim's home is beautiful. We were made so very welcome, and Kim was extremely accommodating of our request for a very early breakfast on both days. The bedroom (without even taking account of the separate sitting room, and a wonderfully big bathroom) is amazingly spacious; and the bed was so comfortable - I slept better there than I do at home! Kim has a perfect home in a lovely location if you are in need of a few days rest and relaxation.

My husband and I are from Australia travelling around the UK and we were overwhelmed by the hospitality given to us by Kim. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome in her amazing home. We were in awe of the picturesque gardens and the extremely happy with the room which had a sitting room attached and an amazing bathroom. Kim was very helpful with making dinner reservations for us and spoilt us with an awesome breakfast presented to us in an quaint room with an amazing view of her garden. Diana was an excellent host - she was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival, promptly gave us keys and showed us around the house. Following this she offered advice on the restaurants and pubs nearby. The house is located in a prime location within Southsea, near to many shops, restaurants and pubs. The room was comfortable and very clean.

Diana has a lovely house with a large room at the attic. She arranged our arrival very well by having a neighbor showing us around. There was a nice (free!) parking space behind the house. We (two sisters) liked the two separate beds in the room. Everything was there: coffee and tea facilities, washing stand in the room, breakfast in the morning, and a cute fluffy cat :) It was nice meeting Diana and we would surely recommend this place!

This is the second time I have stayed with Diana, and again, Diana continues to be an excellent host. Diana's excellent communication and the come-and-go nature of her AirBnb location makes things super easy. We must have come-and-gone 5 or so times over the course of a long weekend to grab things we'd forgotten whilst exploring Southsea and the surrounding area. This makes things super easy. Also (and as I said last time I reviewed), Diana's excellent local knowledge means that if searching for restaurants/pubs/entertainment/anything proves an issue, she will know exactly where to point you. The house was situated in a very modern, quiet & well maintained close. The room was even better than the picture - immaculately clean with lovely personal touches such as a welcome board, tea making facilities, biscuits, fridge with milk, water bottles by the bed and extra toiletries in the bathroom (which had a large shower). The bed had plush pillows, feather duvet & cushions and there was also huge fresh fluffy towels. We had a great night's sleep in a comfortable, bed & woke up feeling very refreshed. Breakfast was made to a time that was suitable to us and there was so much choice - nothing was too much trouble for Annette. We booked the room for 1 night as we went to a friends wedding. On our return that eve, Annette made us drinks and we sat in the lounge chatting. Annette really was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome in her home -(it was like we were family members returning home for the weekend rather than guests!).....We highly recommend staying here.

We arrived early evening, our first Airbnb. I think my wife was a little apprehensive. Our hosts both made us truly welcome. I cannot fault anything, the bed was extremely comfortable, the bedroom was spotless and a good size. The towels and bathroom were perfect. Everything was definately better than we expected.

The room had everything we needed, was cozy and very comfortable. Although not centrally located, the neighbourhood was very nice and calm and the harbour is only of few meters from the house. Annette and Mike gave us a warm welcome and were always ready to answer questions. We had a great stay at this place!

We stayed in this hidden gem for 3 nights following the Butser Beltane festival, and I can honestly say that this is the nicest, homeliest and simply best value-for-money B&B we've stayed in! Cathy is a very accommodating and friendly hostess who has clearly put her heart in to the accommodation, offering a beautiful range of home-cooked breakfasts every morning alongside freshly baked bread and goodies upon arrival, alongside a well-stocked fridge. I would happily stay again if we were in the area, and can highly recommend a stay if you’re looking for a relaxing break!

Karen's home and her family are very welcoming and I had a wonderful stay! I recommend it to anyone for short or long stays, it's a lovely house in a lovely neighborhood. It's easy to get a taxi from the train station and Karen and her family will be there to help and support you in any way they can. As the pictures show, there are two single beds and all necessities in the room. The bathroom is shared and perfectly clean and tidy.

Karen and Mathew both are very warm and sweet. They greeted me very nicely and made me so comfortable during my stay. They are perfect host and I felt like home with them. Jill and her 2 and 4 legged family made us very welcome and were amazing. Due to severe traffic problems we arrived later than planned and they were very accommodating and flexible. Surprisingly we still managed to find hot food after 10pm and she offered us to use her kitchen and the breakfast area. It was wonderful. Our non English speaking mother from Brazil stayed one night, she slept very well 'like a stone' and enjoyed the breakfast provided by Jill. It was an adventure for her and she enjoyed every minute of it.

Very nice room in in Hayling Island , everything so clean and new , There is a living room with TV where you have breakfast and relax although States just one night enjoyed very much .

We enjoyed our stay with Susan. The room is not very large, but comfortable and quiet. The private bathroom is clean. Susan was more than happy to provide us with suggestions for day trips and places to eat.

Susan communicated with me from the word go and sent information about the local village and suggested booking somewhere to eat as it would be busy. Which we did and we enjoyed the food at the Castle Inn and drinks at the Robin Hood after too! Well rude not too! Susan advised where we needed to go on arrival re parking and met us on arrival. We were shown to a very pleasant guest room right at the top of the house with a lovely few over the garden. Breakfast was lovely and Susan was on hand for toast and hot drinks. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly use again. Thank you.

Room nice and big, and the small touches in the room like bottled water and beverages, iron and hairdryer all added to an enjoyable stay. We didn't make breakfast so can't comment.

A good place to stay if you on foot and catching a ferry; only a short walk with subway links under the main road to the ferry terminal. Very comfortable room with your own loo/shower across the landing. Clean and tidy, plenty of soft towels and fast WIFI. We left early in the morning so just had toast and tea for breakfast. Spar store on the corner with restaurants and take-aways a five-minute walk away on the main road. We did not find the area noisy and that was on the hottest day of the year with all the windows open all night. Slept very well.

I had a very good stay for one night. The owner have been very kind and flexible. House is clean and cozy. I had feel being at home very quickly. I recommend to book if you plan to visit Portsmouth. Lovely room overlooking a field of sheep. The house is very clean and the room I stayed in Large and well furnished. Paula was a charming and attentive host. Rowlands Castle is a lovely village and would make a good base to explore the delights of Chichester and points East which you can contrast with the horrors of Havant just down the road to the West! Great place to stay, thank you Paula.

Staying at Paula's was relaxing and the room very comfortable . It is a terrific location for people traveling the Shipwrights Way. Paula and her husband gave us some great ideas for continuing our ride south we would have never discovered. We were able to wash our clothes which is a real bonus when cycling. Our breakfast was substantial in size and continental. There us some pubs nearby for evening meals. Perfect for walkers and cyclists.

I had a spotlessly clean room with a superb view over the fields, the bed was very comfortable and I slept so well. The adjacent bathroom was very well appointed with a drench shower and a bath big enough to swim in! Ample parking. The George pub in the next village (2 mins by car) is both nearby and friendly for your evening meal. Would certainly recommend Paula's lovely home to my fellow travelers.

Christine and David's home is a large modern exceptionally clean home in a quiet location but only a few minutes walk from 2 excellent restaurants. Our room was a generous size with a super comfy bed and lots of storage. We loved the large window with a view over David's well maintained garden. The en- suite bathroom was very modern with high spec fixtures and was super clean of course. I could not fully explain how welcome our hosts made us feel in their home. After a proper cooked breakfast ... courtesy of David...we departed for our journey home to Ireland feeling well rested.

Good location for sailing and walking persuits. After a mix up with room bookings the club offered comfortable accommodation and good restaurant facilities. The only drawback being there was no car parking facilities on site.

We had a very nice night at Larissa's place. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great, delicious omelette and coffee. Larissa's husband helped me to print out needed travel documents which I was worried about. Their pub below is a very nice place to spend time which we did before going to the ferry terminal. We were allowed to leave our bags so we could explore Portsmouth. Their place is on a noisy street, but it gets quieter at night and the window blocks sound quite well. The walk to the historic dock was doable even for old (67 & 73) folks like us. Some stairs to the room and the bedroom rug needs to be non-slip, but otherwise, we thought the room (and Larissa) were just perfect. Very highly recommended.

Larrisa and Vlad's place was fantastic. It was like staying in a 5 Star hotel without the facade and price. Lots of room with great facilities and an awesome breakfast. Both hosts were happy to help and were capable of very useful and accurate advice about local transport and attractions. Surprisingly, being above a Pub and on a busy road, there was only background noise. Busses stop right outside, but an easy straight forward walk to the dockyard museums and the city center.

Meine Tochter und ich haben sehr kurzfristig die Unterkunft angefragt. Trotzdem hat Kay unverzüglich auf jede unserer Nachfragen reagiert und uns weiter geholfen. Trotz Navi hatten wir Probleme, die Adresse zu finden - jedoch auch da hat Kay uns geholfen, an der Straße gestanden und uns herzlichst in Empfang genommen. Kay bietet ein wunderschönes "Haus der offenen Tür", jedes Zimmer, eins schöner als das andere, durften wir uns ansehen. Unser Bett hatte eine sehr gute Matratze als auch Bettauflagen, sprich Decken und Kissen. Wir hatten ein eigenes, sauberes funktionelles Bad, ohne Beanstandung. Das Haus mit seinen Bewohnern hat eine herzliche, ruhige, befreiende Atmosphäre mit zwei freundlichen Hauskatzen. Für den Garten sollte man sich Zeit nehmen, denn für Blumen- und Pflanzenliebhaber gibt es viel zu entdecken - auch bietet sich ein Plauderstündchen inmitten der Pflanzenvielfalt an, um "vielleicht" yin und yang wieder in Einklang zu bringen. Das Frühstück ist klassisch englisch - auf Nachfragen bekamen wir das leckerste Porridge unserer Englandreise, angereichert mit frischem Obst. Währenddessen saßen wir in einem "aristokratisch" anmutenden Raum, der dem Zeitgeist des Hauses Rechnung trug. Es war ein romantischer Platz, den ich ohne Einschränkung weiter empfehlen kann.

My friend and I had a lovely stay at Kays place. We were given a friendly welcome and enjoyed our time in their beautiful home. The bedroom and bathroom were all clean and tidy. The beds were really comfy! It is all very picturesque.

Kay and Linda were perfect hosts. Excellent comunication. Clean house. They provided us an amazing breakfast everyday. I will definitly come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Stonelands. The room was beautiful and we were made to feel very much at home. It's perfectly located, not far from good restaurants, the town and island attractions. I would thoroughly recommend it!

Kay and her sister were fantastic hosts and how every guest would want to be treated; we got a grand tour, a cup of tea and some fab recommendations..all before our delicious breakfast that they had kindly prepared before our early departure! Can't wait to return to see the dream team sister duo! See you soon guys!

Kay is a very nice host. The experience of living in the house is excellent! I and my sister like the accommodation! This is a great trip in Isles of Wight!

Comfortable beds, strong shower, hairdryer, thoughtful breakfast. Everything we needed was available. Good base for touring island.
