Appena prenotato a Curtea de Argeș

An old traditional house made of wood and earth, with tree orchard and garden, delightfully placed near the edge the forest, in the National Natural Reserve of Vâlsan River Remote, but a great location of access to the main roads to/from BUCHAREST & TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN, SIBIU, BRAN, BRAȘOV (please see below for details) Originally, it belonged to my grand-grandparents; we renovated in 2016, obstinately keeping everything we could in the wonderful original state.
***[Please note that the price listed is considered per room (if agreed, we also may stay in the house if your group is max. 7 people, or leave it all to you if your group is more than 7 people. For directly renting a specific room or two rooms (1 - 5 people), please see the listings of each room on my profile or just contact me :) For long-term rentals, we happily offer significant discounts.] ***[In order for you to find out more about the place specifics, please inquire me first, before requesting to book or instant booking. Thank you!] Our house is located on a (very :) ) secondary road in the village, in a splendid and picturesque neighbourhood. The house is surrounded by our 2000 square meters (21.500 square feet) land - orchard, garden, yard, backyard and pasture. Our orchard has very old nut trees, mature apple trees, and young fruit trees of all sorts. And grapes. And raspberries. :) You'll fall in love (we did also!) with the simple serenity of the entire place, with the wildbirds' concerts in the morning, with the tender sunsets with a glass of local wine in the gazebo or on the picnic blanket in the garden, with the feeling of time slowly passing by in harmony. Seldom you'll see more (and sometimes even less :) ) than a car per day crawling along our narrow village road. We are very fond of traditional Romanian recipes, cooked slowly, outside, in iron-cast kettles. Enjoy the local savours and flavours - ask us about cooking for you. Now, about the house: The house was raised in the 1930's by the builders' guild my great-grandpa was belonging to. After they died, in the 1990's, the house was not inhabited anymore until we started face-lifting it, in 2016. We tried renovating it respecting the wonderful cosy touch of the original house, using as many as traditional materials and techniques as we could, from wooden shingles roof, hand-made traditional-patterned ceramic tiles, to natural plasters and recycled very old alder wood, and keeping all the beautiful objects our great-grandparents had and reuse them and enjoy them. However, we equipped the house with all amenities necessary: fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, Wi-Fi etc. At the floor level, there are two bedrooms ("The Good Room" and "The Great-Grandma's Room"), one bathroom, the kitchen and also the technical room. Upstairs, there's a bedroom (called "The Night Sky Room" because of the large roof window through you can see the marvellous sky - no light pollution here, all stars and constellations available:), another bathroom and a generous L-shaped open-space which can be used as a big living room and, by night, as a space for sleep (the extensible sofa is placed in a niche providing privacy). Also, my tiny office for no-distraction computer work is available upstairs. :) Outside, there are two porches/verandas and a wooden pavilion providing enough space for eating outside, and including a bread oven and a barbecue. There are three different entrances in the house. Due to constraints imposed by adhering to the original architecture both bathrooms are a bit smaller than than those generally found in cities but they are spotlessly clean, well-functioning and contain all the essentials. Oh, and under the house, there is a stone cellar where we secrete all the home-made delights :)
  • We had an absolutely wonderful time at Silviu and Christina's place. They opened their home and their hearts to us and gave us a very special start to our adventure in Romania. On both nights they cooked us a delicious traditional meal on the wood fire, which came with Romianian Tuica schnapps. Silviu showed us a spot at the stream where we could cool down and chill in the shade, and we visited the beautiful monastery at Curtea de Arges. He also gave us lots of advice for the rest of our trip in Transylvania. We had great chats around the dinner table and could completely slow down and relax. I would highly recommend staying here and experiencing traditional life in the Romanian countryside.

  • I was on a roadtrip through my country, Romania, and since things didn't work out as planed, I urgently needed a place to stay over for a night, before hitting the Transfagarasan road. Airbnb is always a good choice, so I decided to chek what could be the options for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find probably the best place for me to check in, an old house, yet new, in a village, together with a garden and a very friendly family to spend time with and share some opinions about life in general. Some very worthy opinions had also the little host, an adorable little 2 years old girl. I needed someone to spend time, before meeting my friends the next day, so it was perfect for me to get to know them a little. I was again lucky having the "room with a sky view". I have to admit that I really woke up several times during the night just to stare at the stars, it was better than dreaming. The food was very good, traditional breakfast, natural, healthy ingredients. Although I didn't had time to visit the neighborhood, the hosts made me a summary and I will go there again, for at least a weekend to enjoy the place at it's best. So, thank you for everything and see you next time! :)

  • We came to Silviu's place after hiking in the Fagaraş. It was the perfect place for relaxing and restoring our energy after a few strenuous days. The kids played and learned about the area, we bathed in the river, rested in the yard... our hosts were very caring and friendly and we hope to meet them again soon!

  • We enjoyed staying with Cristina and lovely katushka. The place is a great opportunity for those of you that appreciate simplicity, and quiet life style. You Will enjoy Cristina excellent cooking, all from fresh ingredients from the home garden. You will benefit some quiet time bathing in the river, piking barris, and walking paths that takes you no where special but at the same time the most special place you should be. You will be inspayered by conversation with Cristina, decoration and of course if you lucky by watching the stars from your bad . Great experience and great tips for the road.

  • Lovely place, surrounded by nature and country. Good position for visiting Curte de Arges and start the Transfagarasan. Easy to reach from Bucharest thanks also to Silviu who sharwd in advamce their position. The cottage and its garden seems the ones of a fairy tale. Silviu and his wife are welcoming, friendly and interesting people, they allow us to socialize with them, their lovely daughter and the other guests. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, very traditional and made with organic and local food. We loved this stay!

  • We had the great pleasure to stay one night at the wonderful home of this little family. Unfortunately Silviu wasn't there, but we met Cristina and their little daughter and we felt very welcome. The house with its yard and garden is such a great place to stay - with so much charm and charisma!!! Also the dishes Cristina made are very delicious (including the palincă;-) and generally she and her daughter are gorgeous people. All in all we were a bit sad that we only could stay for one night (definitely some misplanning on our part), but we will come back one day - when our small boy is a bit older so he actually can play with little Katinka instead of just looking at eachother :-)

  • Great host authentic place great communication lovely couple.

  • Silviu is a marvelous host: he is really nice and helpful, responded quickly to all our requests, detail oriented (he told us everything we needed to know about the house, the surroundings and the places to visit, the museums, the tracks in the mountains and the tips and tricks of the region. The Wi-Fi connection is very good. The house is a little treasure for those who appreciate vintage and traditional stuff with a modern twist, with beautiful Romanian handmade carpets and byzantine icons and old clay pots and beautiful furniture and interior design. The colorings in the house are warm and joyful. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed if we were to cook anything. I loved all the little details in it and the furniture and the wood frames of the windows. The stoves in the house, including kitchen are beautiful, but it was to warm outside to build fire in them. During winter, I think it is wonderful to stay in the house reading or dreaming and listening to the fire in the stove. The perfect, cosy nest we were looking for, we found it. We definitively will be back for longer visits. The house is located in a green and peaceful oasis where time stood still and life flows in the enchanting rhythm of the old world. Last but not least, the food offered was a delicious: rich and traditional food, polenta and a lot of types of local cheeses, grass fed beef and organic, local raised turkey in delicious stews with vegetables locally grown and pickles... well just delicious. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, we enjoyed our time there and we would recommend this place to next visitors. Thanks a lot Silviu

A 3 person tent outdoors, on top of a hill with a splendid view. The tent has an air matress and it is situated in a hillside village, 12 km from Curtea de Argeş city. The location on the map is my house in the city, the meeting place. I guess it's mostly for people with great love for nature and adventure. A truely traditional area with lots of sheep and cows and wonderful people. Non touristic, just plain simple life in Romania, drinking water from a well, having the sky full of stars above...
Romania is a place you should see from a tent, not a hotel, that's for sure, because Romania is about nature and people. Don't take pictures, enjoy your trip with your own eyes not through your Nikon or Cannon lens. I will teach you how to explore the heart of this wonderful country. Promise! I also provide inflatable matress, woolen blankets and any other stuff you may need.
A village that is full of sheep, shepards and truely friendly people. A small local store 200 m away, two big supermarkets in the city, Lidl and Kaufland, lots of restaurants also. In the village we only have the flowers, trees, clouds, sheep and good fine neighbors that will probably invite you in for a coffee or something to eat.

  • Ioana and is husband are very nice people! they are very welcoming and kind with the guest! They are very interesting in know other culture and they want to share their! • Just perfect. This was by far the best AirBnB-experience we've ever had. Silviu and Cristina are lovely people and very good hosts. The house and garden are amazing and don't lack any comfort. They prepared diner and breakfast for us with mostly homegrown products. It was delicious, but also very nice to taste traditional Romanian food. We loved the stay and we would definitely recommend this to all our friends!

  • We had a very pleasent stay at Silvius home. His wife and Burduf, a sweet puppy, showed us the house and the garden, which is placed in a nice village 15 min away from the transfagarasan route. After our arrival we made a walk trough the village, were some very nice villagers tried to talk to us in romanien. We felt very warm welcomed, everybody was greeting us. While the walk Cristina cooked us a very tasty dinner with vegetables from their gardens (btw the best vegetarian dish i had in Romania!). In the morning we had some really interesting conversations with Cristina and Silviu about technology and some philosophical stuff :) All in all we can totally recommended Silviu and Cristina and the very beautiful Airbnb to everybody, who are looking for a authentical Romanian place to stay as well as people how are looking for silence and nature away from the touristical hotspots.

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Silviu's home. He and his family have been very nice and friendly. They fixed a rumanian traditional house, and the result is perfet. If you like to stay in a quite place in the countryside, having the impression on to be far away to the crowdy cities and noise, this is is your place. You'll be in love of this house and Silviu's family!

  • A simple and traditional room, with great hosts. Silvio and his wife cooked a traditional romanian meal. It was really good. This is the perfect stop before or after the transfagarasan road !

  • In the heart of the marvelous Curtea de Arges countryside, a very pleasant old house hold by a young very lovely couple. You can relax in a beautiful sunny garden full of sunfllowers and fruit trees. Room is comfortable, clean and spacy. Good point: Cristina and Silviu cook fine dinners shared all together with guests. That changes everything. A real moment of communication. We are not here on a simple business relationship. We wish you the best for your family, Cristina, Silviu and your adorable daughter.

    Sylvain2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Silviu's house is very pretty and tipical and his family is very cute and polite. Silviu is a very good host. Strongly recommended.

    Stefano2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Silviu & Cristina's renovated farmstead was a perfect mix of traditional village values with a few modern twists (I.e. a wonderful shower). We were warmly greeted despite being a little late arriving and instantly were treated to a few drinks and sparkling conversation in the homemade gazebo. Two other travellers were staying upstairs but we all had our private spaces and comfort. The two resident cats (Pele and Dobrin) were playful and affectionate, whilst a puppy was seen in the morning. The great value was enhanced after a delicious traditional Romanian breakfast with most of the ingredients either home-grown or produced in the village. The remoteness of the property only adds to the ambiance, with dogs and even wolves heard in the night, however a car is needed to ensure easy access (Very close to the southern extent of other tranfăgărăşan highway). This truly was was a special listing that will live long in the memory thanks to Silviu, Cristina and their lovely Daughter. Cannot recommend enough!

    Allan2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had our best Airbnb experience at Silviu's and Cristina's place, and can totally recommend it. The house is really pretty and cozy, a gem in the countryside, surrounded by nature. It's a very quiet place, but it makes a short ride from Curtea. Silviu and Cristina are incredibly welcoming, they really let us feel at home and they offered us a very tasty dinner: we definitely plan to come back in the future.

  • I arrived in Curtea de Arges after a motorcycle ride along the Transfagarasan mountain road, both ways, very very tired. I found the place very easily and there was something about it that made it feel exactly like home. The best part of feeling like this is that I had a very long and good sleep. It is quiet, very clean, very nice and big enough for 2 adults or even 2 adults and one child, I think. I only stayed one night and the next morning I was offered a good espresso coffee and also a bottle of home-made wine - and I still regret I had to leave it there because of my limited luggage space with the motorcycle. The communication was very easy, since the hosts replied quick and to the point; I would gladly go back and book the place again if I would be traveling in that beautiful area again. I highly recommend the place.

  • Luminita is very nice, cordial and easy going, we enjoyed very much staying in her place! The house is very clean, nice and comfortable with absolutely everything you need. There was a well equipped kitchen with, tea, coffee, oil, salt, bbq, etc. which are all the little things you must have when spending a few days in a house. The outdoors area is phenomenal, specially for the kids, for playing around and breathing fresh air. We loved the outdoors porch/terrace, for eating, socialising and watching the full moon! The forest is next to her place, great for walking and exploring. People in the village are extremely generous and humble, we went for a walk and came back with two cheeses.... Luminita's house is a great start to the Transfagarasan route and the amazing Transylvania!

  • My family and I spent our last night in Romania here and it was really wonderful eating out on the veranda and having the whole place to ourselves. The house is located in a little village outside Curtea de Arges which made a nice change from the cities we'd been staying in. Luminita and her husband were really friendly and helpful, leaving us a souvenir and some home made plum brandy to enjoy. They sleep in the summer house in the garden so we always had some one to call on if we needed anything.

This sleeping place is quite adventurous! As you can see on the pictures, you go up on wooden steps and you sleep under the roof in a tent which is semi closed. You have a amazing view right into the trees. It is like you are in a tree house but you are in a very comfortable bed at the same time. It is available in the summer or longer for those who love to be with the elements of nature. Beautiful place for meditation and introspection. It comes naturally at this spot.
In the middle of nature, close to a river, like 5 minute walk. Close to the forest. Wonderful place for quiet time with and by yourself.
very quiet, at both sides neighbors, and at the end of the village. Some little shops. No nightlife, bars or disco;s :).

  • We’ve spend wonderful days in this traditional Romanian house from Arges county. The house is more beautiful than picture. We enjoyed pleasant and hospitality hosts (Alex’s parents), comfortable room, nice view of the hill behind, large courtyard with trees and flowers, special preparations for breakfast or dinner, served always outside… and lovely and funny dog. Măriuţa is the name of your host. She does not have internet she does not want to have internet and she will not have internet. But... she speaks italian pretty well and is a lovely person who wants to host. She is 72 years old, looks like 50, born in the village, with a countryside lifestyle and look. Her yard is full of animals and the village is wonderful too! I will intermediate your stay just by helping with technology issues. I will phone her, explain to you how to get there and that's it.
It's a traditional house with 2 bedrooms with sheep around, cows, dogs and hens. Măriuţa is a peasant and is proud to be like that.
A traditional village, for nature and romanian culture seakers,

  • This is a very special place with a lovely host! Mariuţa welcomed us with open arms, we were amazed by her joy and hospitality. The communication with Ovidiu and Ioana was perfect, they even came to say Hi and were really really nice. We (4 friends) experienced countrylife, met a few neighbors, cooked together, drank schnaps, shared stories, went with our host to the monastary and laughed a lot. If you are lookig for a few days of simple country life, come to Mariuţa´s house. We are so happy we did!

  • It is a unique experience to stay at a peasant home. It was a house in the mountains so the views were really good and you wake up amids the sheeps. Mariuta, the hostess, is a really warm person. Although communication is a bit hard, as she speak only romanian and italian, I had a great evening.

The host also expected us with very delicious food made by her and made sure we had everything we need.

  • Mariuta is an amazing, welcoming, warm and very social person. Her Italian is very good so we could talk a lot over a really nice and tasty dinner she prepared for us (you can agree with her to have a dinner at her place as there are no other options around). Her house is peaceful and simple, and surrounded by a garden so it's a great place if you want to relax and forget a busy city life for a moment. We really felt like home and that's thanks to her and her personality.

  • Maria is an angel! She doesn't speak English, but Romanian and Italian, so she understood some Spanish too. The country side is beautiful and Curtea de Arges is worth seeing too! If you love animals or love having a traditional Romanian meal an der meet the nicest people in the village, this is a MUST! Also good to hike in the surrounding mountains.

The house is located in the middle of nature, but is close to the road. The house as you can see on the pictures is very creative and natural. You will have a private room, but we share the house. It is a wonderful place for some quiet time for yourself, or to write , great place to meditate next to the river which is like 5 minute walk from the house. Or a beautiful walk in the forest which is at the opposite of the house. For those who love nature and quiet this is heaven.
The house is in nature but located very central, 170 km from Bucuresti, 30 km from Pitesti, 15 km from Curtea de Arges. You can come very easy with public transportation. The local bus stops in front of the house. The room is 4 x 5 m2 , there is a small kitchen in the house and a outside kitchen as well. There is no running water in the house, the bathroom is in another part of the building, you have to go outside to enter the bathroom. We have hot water and hot shower by boiler on wood! The conditions are natural and simple.
Valsanesti is a quiet village, and i am located at the end of the village, or beginning depending were you come from :) very quiet, no nightclubs or anything in the village :) Some small shops to buy food if you like.
  • We had an amazing time with Anet! she has a very lovely house with a gorgeous garden. Everything is made with lots of love energies. It made us really calm since we came from the city. The house is close to the river and we were swimming everyday. We enjoyed it very very much! Actually we just wanted to stay 3 nights but we stayed longer because we felt so comfortable . Anet makes the best smoothies in the morning and the best salats ever! :) :p we miss u! pia & jochen

    Marthijn2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed immensely our short time at Anet's home. She lives rurally in a very typical Romanian village and house. She offers an incredibly relaxing environment. Her hospitality and friendliness reflects the best side of Airbnb. If you have a car or don't mind using local transport, it is a beautiful base from which to explore the beginnings of Transylvania. We have nothing but good things to say!

    Ashika2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • I spent a beautifully tranquil two weeks at Anet's... The whole thing felt like a kind of dreamworld! Upon my arrival Anet offered to provide all my meals, which I accepted and enjoyed lovely nutritious food for my whole stay. From baths and meditation sessions at the nearby river, to magical walks in the forest behind the house, there were so many opportunities to immerse myself in the natural world. I also found Anet to be not only very helpful and accommodating, but also a great person to converse with on all sorts of topics... a true hive of wisdom at your disposal! What I also really liked about my stay was the food forest, which provided daily yields of raspberries, as well as a plethora of some well-known and other lesser-known edible plant species. Great for anyone who wants to educate themselves about permaculture, and just for anyone who would like to have the opportunity to eat straight from the land! I loved my stay here and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anybody after a slice of nature in a peaceful and welcoming environment. The house itself is very homely and beautiful, with comfortable beds, good internet connection and a fully-equipped kitchen. If you love nature and quiet time to yourself, this is for you!

  • Mihaela is a friendly host, and made us feel very welcome. She has a beautiful place, and is very helpful. We stayed in one of the rooms in the new buildings, and it was very nice and spotless. The shower in the ensuite was also great, with good water pressure. We stayed there after a day of driving the Transfagarasan Highway, and it's perfectly situated for that. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore too much of Curtea de Arges, but Mihaela has a lot of information on what to do and see. The breakfast provided was great, including eggs, sausages, cold meats, cheeses, jams and honey. We recommend this place 100%. Thanks for having us!

A guided tour through the rural wonders of Romania. I try to show you the best places I know. You should necessarily be passionate about wild flowers, nature, sheep, history, culture, religion, arts... not a king-size bed. I am a passionate guide: we will visit monasteries together, talk about this country, the world, hike around the place, play with clay, play traditional instruments, paint in oil, photography lessons maybe, cook and so on... I love life and try to do a bit of everything.
So, the truth is we are sleeping in a simple old fashion tent and I am givind any other stuff to keep you warm and clean. On the other half, my type of guests don't care where they sleep, they just want to know the nature, the animals, the people, to be guided through the countryside, monuments, monasteries, arts. I am not listing a hotel, but an experience: cooking, singing, talking, painting, pottery, photography, etc.
Distances are realatively short, from a place to another (old monasteries, citadels, natural sites), like 5-10 km away. We can take my car or yours for some part of the tour and we can walk and hike for another part...

A cosy room in the attic of a traditional house made of wood and earth, with garden, delightfully placed near the forest, in the Natural Reserve of Vâlsan River Remote, but a great location of access to the main roads to/from BUCHAREST & TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN, SIBIU, BRAN, BRAȘOV (please see below for details) Bike & motorbike friendly! :) The house belonged to my grand-grandparents; we renovated in 2016, obstinately keeping everything we could in the wonderful original state.
[Please note that the price listed is considered per this room only. For renting the entire house (up to 9 guests) or one more room, please see this listing - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17287191 or just contact me :) For long-term rentals, we happily offer significant discounts.] # The Night Sky Room has wooden walls, subtle traditional Romanian decorations and a gorgeous big window that heads directly to the sky, right up the bed. In warm season, you'll hear the wildbirds singing - the forest is very close.# --- Our house is located on a (very :) ) secondary road in the village, in a splendid and picturesque neighbourhood. Seldom you'll see more (and sometimes even less :) ) than a car per day crawling along our narrow village road... Due to constraints imposed by adhering to the original architecture both bathrooms are smaller than than those generally found in cities but they are spotlessly clean, well-functioning and contain all the essentials. Oh, and under the house, there is a stone cellar where we secretly keep all the home-made delights :)
The house is surrounded by the National Natural Reserve of Vâlsan River, protecting more than 300 rare flower and animal species, including the world's oldest fossil-fish alive, 65 million years old, they say: "asprete" (Romanichtys Valsanicola)! The entire region is filled with beautiful old churches and monasteries, starting with the one in the village (built 1838), Brădet (14th century), Corbii de Piatră (ancient, carved in rock sacred place) etc. For hikers & bikers: going north, you can either get to Vidraru Dam (alternative route), or start climbing to Moldoveanu Peak (2544 meters, the highest peak in Romanian Carpathian mountains). Or you can just pick up any road you like and start exploring. Beauty is everywhere here. If interested in a ... town-break, you can easily access historical town of Curtea de Argeș with its stunning Monastery (former capital city of Old Wallachia, 13th century) - 12 km away, or enjoy the breathtaking architecture of Câmpulung (oldest city in Wallachia, inhabited since bronze age - year 1600 B.C!) - 33 km away. Or you can soak your feet in Vâlsan river nearby :) Whatever you prefer, we'll be glad to be your guides!
  • Silviu and his family are very lovely. We had a really delicious dinner cooked by his wife during our stay. Silviu was welcoming and we had a great chat. Commuicating with him was easy and great. He gave us advice on where to go etc. The house itself is a little overpriced in my opinion, considering it's just a room, but the location worked for us. We were a little cold during the night and there was lots of loud dog barking, so it wasnt a great sleep, but otherwise everything else was great. They have lots of interesting books to look at :)

  • We are happy and thankful that we could stay at Silviu's little paradise! We were really impressed about their home, and hospitality, the whole house is filled with love, and creativity. We fell in love with the atmosphere of the building and the way how they renovated it: with special respect for the traditional elements and furniture, combined with some playful ideas which makes the whole place adorable and amazing! Our time at his place really made our whole trip unforgetable! I would definitely recommend his place for everyone who wants to get a life-long experience about how to live a meaningful life, in balance with the nature. Im really glad that we found you Silviu! Thank you for the nice memories, hope to see you one day in Amsterdam! Koen & Uni

A splendid room in a traditional house made of wood and earth, with garden, delightfully placed near the forest, in the Natural Reserve of Vâlsan River Remote, but a great location of access to the main roads to/from BUCHAREST & TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN, SIBIU, BRAN, BRAȘOV (please see below for details) Bike & motorbike friendly! :) Originally, it belonged to my grand-grandparents; we renovated in 2016, obstinately keeping everything we could in the wonderful original state.
[Please note that the price listed is considered per this room only. For renting the entire house (up to 9 guests) or one more room, please see this listing - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/17287191 or just contact me :) For long-term rentals, we happily offer significant discounts.] ¶ # People here call "The Good Room" the room that was originally built only for guests, which you were most proud of. We are proud to share "The Good Room" just as we inherited it, keeping the massive wooden flooring, the 45 years-old cherry-tree wardrobe, the crossed door-case and the original door, the window wooden frames, the carpets and the wall-carpets my great-grandmother made. "The Good Room" also has a beautiful white lime-plaster wood stove which can be used in winter. In hot summers, "The Good Room" is always cool and refreshing. # ¶ --- Our house is located on a (very :) ) secondary road in the village of Vâlsănești, in a splendid and picturesque neighbourhood. The house is surrounded by our 2000 square meters (21.500 square feet) land - orchard, garden, yard, backyard and pasture. Our orchard has very old nut trees, mature apple trees, and young fruit trees of all sorts. And grapes. And raspberries. :) ¶ You'll fall in love (we did also!) with the simple serenity of the entire place, with the wildbirds' concerts in the morning, with the tender sunsets with a glass of local wine in the gazebo or on the picnic blanket in the garden, with the feeling of time slowly passing by in harmony. Seldom you'll see more (and sometimes even less :) ) than a car per day crawling along our narrow village road...
  • The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We have a good contact and we can always count on their help during traveling in Romania. Their traditional house is stunning with a beautiful garden. An amazing place with beauty of the nature all around their house. The local breakfast and dinner were really plentiful and very delicious. If someone is looking for a real countryside and scenic view, I would highly recommend this. I think we will be back there again in future.
