Welcome to Castle Mews, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Castle Mews is a hidden gem of a cottage, at the end of a short row of cottages tucked away down a gated passageway, right in the heart of the lovely market town of Cirencester. In Roman times Cirencester was known as “Corinium”, when it was the second largest town in Britain, a history that is celebrated in its local museum. Nowadays, Cirencester is the largest town in the Cotswolds, enabling it to support a wide range of pubs, restaurants and shops, all housed in beautiful honey-coloured Cotswold stone buildings. The town is surrounded by stunning countryside and beautiful Cotswold villages, as well as being an ideal base for visiting further afield places, such as Bath, Oxford or even a day trip into London. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Castle Mews is very peacefully located, down a gated passageway off Castle street, a beautiful street in the heart of Cirencester. There is a lovely enclosed courtyard garden at the front of the cottage, which leads to the front door. The door opens into the open plan ground floor: Living/dining area: The relaxing living and dining space contains a comfy sofa, an armchair and a wooden dining table, with seating for two. Discretely hidden away in a wooden cabinet is a small SMART TV and DVD player; Kitchen area: The lovely kitchen area is very well laid out and contains a two ring induction hob, electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a washing machine/tumble dryer. Stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom: A lovely eaves room, with oak beams and a ledge and brace door, which contains a king size bed; Dressing room: A nice additional space, which contains a sofa, a dressing table and a free standing towel rail; Bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Returning downstairs, a stable door leads out from the kitchen area to a small, enclosed courtyard garden at the back of the cottage, which contains a table and two seats. The garden area at the front of the cottage is larger and is a beautiful place to sit outside and relax, containing two comfy chairs and a small table.
Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the "Venice of the Cotswolds", its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton. The river is fed from many springs, with the source approximately ten miles from the village and, after flowing under the bridges of Bourton, it passes other villages before eventually joining the Thames. There are various attractions in the village, including the famous Birdland, which is home to a variety of birds from around the world. Here visitors can see parrots, pelicans, flamingos and penguins to name just a few, with experienced keepers feeding the birds and leading demonstrations. The Model Village is well worth a visit, as Bourton is the only village in the Cotswolds to have a one-ninth scale replica of itself. It is carefully maintained and has all of the characterful buildings including the Old Water Mill and the Old New Inn. Those lucky enough to witness snow in the winter months will notice photographers at the model village trying to get the perfect picture of the snowy scene. Another family favourite is the Dragonfly Maze. This yew maze leads visitors through the labyrinth, gathering clues in order to find the pavilion in the centre which enables them to unlock the final secret! The maze was constructed by Kit Williams, author of the golden hare treasure hunt book, "Masquerade".

Pausa meravigliosa

  • L'appartamento è molto carino e chic.

Stone-built quality apartment on the southern outskirts of Cirencester. 15 mins walk to historic town centre (great restaurants!) and 5 mins to supermarkets. Close to Cotswold Water park, excellent nearby walks - including source of the River Thames.
Modern, convenient stone-built apartment with own private entrance. Open-plan living space with full kitchen (including stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher), dining table and sofa (seats 2-3 plus large foot stool). Fast wifi accessible in all rooms. Catch-up TV with bluetooth soundbar. Two double bedrooms with built-in wardrobe in main bedroom. Bathroom with bath and separate power shower cubicle. Instant hot water, always on.
Our apartment is on a quiet new estate on the southern side of Cirencester, very convenient for Cotswold Water Park and town centre. Cirencester has a wonderful historic centre with many fabulous shops and restaurants and an indoor market hall. We particularly like Cote and Jessie's restaurants for dinner and the Trouble House café (on the road to Tetbury) for great lunches and cakes!

The Potting Shed is the quintessential 5* Cotswold escape. Following an 18 month restoration completed in May 2019, this stone barn conversion is the perfect retreat. Located within the grounds of an elegant Grade II listed Georgian town house on Cecily Hill - voted one of the prettiest streets in England, this romantic getaway is accessed by a private stone bridge which leads through through a formal kitchen garden to a stunning private terrace.
COVID-19 POTTING SHED UPDATE - Your safety and protection is our top priority, we are deep cleaning the Potting Shed between visits and have plenty of anti-bacterial wipes and hand wash throughout the property. In addition you are totally isolated, with your own private entrances, plenty of private outside space and the largest park (Cirencester Park) in the county right on your doorstep to roam around in complete privacy. As of 21/3/20 Most restaurants/Pubs are offering take away and delivery services. Further details will be listed in our guidebook as they become available. Send us a message, we are here to help! The Potting Shed is a self-contained converted stone barn which occupies 550 sq ft of living space and has a generous 200 sq ft private terrace. This gorgeous hideaway sits in our grounds but, with its own separate entrance, it is a very private and quiet cottage. Following an extensive restoration from the ground up in 2018/19, we have used local materials and Cotswold craftsmanship to create a retreat that’s been decorated to a very high standard throughout using beautiful fittings, Farrow and Ball paints and designer fabrics. Upstairs under the eaves, with their original lime-washed oak beams and exposed Cotswold stone walls, are 4 heritage double glazed conservation windows, fitted with black out blinds for the light early mornings. The queen sized (1400) pocket sprung bed with luxurious 400 thread Egyptian cotton pressed linen (Nb. Can also be set up as a twin room) occupies one end of the bedroom while a generous cupboard sits at the other end with a hanging rail and masses of hangers for your clothes and space for your bags. All the upstairs lighting controls are conveniently located next to both sides of the bed. In addition, there is a DAB Roberts radio on the bedside table. Downstairs features a great living space with excellent wifi and underfloor heating installed throughout. There’s a fully equipped kitchen containing a Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, gas cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine and masses of kitchen utensils, pots and pans… so if you fancy dining in, there’s everything you need to create delicious meals while the drop-leaf dining table can be extended from 2 to 4 places. In the cosy living area, there’s a deep sofa and a 4k TV with access to both Catch-up and Netflix. Finally, for those chilly evenings, a stylish Chesneys gas fire will keep you lovely and warm and as it’s operated by remote control, you need only to lift a finger ! The luxurious bathroom is also located downstairs and is equipped with underfloor heating and high end fittings such as a Hanns Grohe shower, Burlington taps and natural Bramley bathroom products, all designed for complete indulgence. To ensure your stay is as comfortable as can be, we’ve kitted out the cottage with a fully integrated heating system operated by Nest, which also controls the underfloor heating. But your safety is vital so we’ve also installed an intelligent AutoMist® fire suppression system. Outside, the terrace is perfectly set-up for alfresco drinks and dining and it is there exclusively for your use. There is a shared formal kitchen garden / potager, bordered by a mature hedge which forms the boundary of the shared space, beyond which the rest of the garden is private. The Gumstool Brook bridge was also rebuilt last year and the iron decorative railings and pillars which we added won the Cirencester 2019 Civic Design award. Checking-in, Dropping off & Parking The Potting Shed is set up for self check-in, with a keypad entry system on the bridge and a key safe by the front door. Unfortunately, we do not provide parking on site, however there is a drop off point at the end of the Gumstool Brook path, where guests can unload. Cars can be parked at The Old Station, The Brewery, Waterloo or The Beeches car parks; there is also free off-street parking on Barton Lane (subject to availability) just 3 minutes’ walk away. Alternatively, private parking can be arranged for a small charge 5 minutes walk away, including a Type 2 EV charge point. For those travelling without a car, Kemble train station is situated 10 minutes from Cirencester – and trains from London take 1hr 20mins. From May until September, the beautiful Cirencester open air swimming pool, with its warm spring-fed water, is open from 7am. It’s a couple of minutes' walk along from the Gumstool Brook bridge so why not go for a refreshing early morning dip!
We are located in perhaps the most beautiful and convenient location in Cirencester. The local pub and best restaurants in town are 90 seconds away and if you enjoy a good walk, we are right next to the entrance of Cirencester park and estate owned by Lord and Lady Bathurst with a cafe, miles and miles of walking, Cirencester cricket club, tennis courts and polo which is played throughout the summer. Bring your walking boots or don’t and just sit in this wonderful park and watch the world go by.. last but not least there is the recently refurbished open air pool, 1 minute walk away and open throughout the summer.

There is a pet charge of £30 per pet per stay, payable upon confirmation and subject to acceptance. No child facilities of any sort are provided.
Cirencester – or for locals simply Ciren - lies on the River Churn, a tributary of the Thames, and is the largest town in Cotswolds. In Roman times, there was a thriving wool industry, and roman ruins can still be visited. When a wall was erected in the 2nd century Corinium was, in area, the second-largest city in Britain. A great abbey church was dedicated in 1176 but in the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539, Henry VIII ordered its total demolition. Today only the Norman Arch and parts of the precinct wall remain above ground, forming the perimeter of the Abbey Fields. The tombs of medieval merchants can be seen in the magnificent parish church, while their fine houses are still standing around the town. Ciren lies close to the heart of the scenic Cotswold region with major attractions like Stow, Chipping Camden and Burford and bigger destinations like Bath and Cheltenham all within about 40 minutes drive. Only slightly farther afield are Shakespeare's Stratford, Stonehenge, Blenheim Palace and the dreaming spires of Oxford. Asphodel is a perfect base to relax or explore. But you don't always need 'destinations'. One of the delights of the Cotswolds is touring the picturesque country lanes and discovering picture postcard villages where the tourist buses never venture. Relax in the garden of the village cafe or by the fire in the historic pub. All our local recommendations and secrets are revealed in your cottage welcome guide.

  • Siamo stati benissimo all'appartamento Martins e ci tornerei sicuramente.

    Warwick & Virginia2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
Grazie, Martin!

Argyll Coach House is a beautifully converted one bedroom holiday cottage, within a walled town garden. It is located right in the centre of Cirencester, just a stone's throw from the historic market place with its many shops, pubs and bars.
The living space consists of an open plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room with cosy underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. A wooden staircase leads up to the first floor, which has a bathroom and an open plan bedroom with a king-sized bed. The self catering cottage is furnished to reflect the owners' profession as dealers in midcentury design. It adjoins the owners’ house and guests are more than welcome to share the use of the beautiful walled garden, including mature trees, a pond, lawns and terrace. Argyll Coach House is perfect for a relaxing Cotswold break. The historic market place is only a few minutes walking distance away and the beauty of the countryside is on the doorstep.
The bustling market town of Cirencester is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds. The second largest city in Roman Britain and famed for its wool market in Tudor times, Cirencester is still thriving today. There are a wealth of independant shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is a market on Mondays and Fridays and a farmers market on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9am until 1pm. There is also an antiques market every Friday in the Corn Hall. Town attractions include: The Corinium Museum, Cirencester Park, The Abbey Grounds, New Brewery Arts, The newly restored parish church, The outdoor lido from May onwards, Cirencester Park Polo. Some of our favourite places to eat in Cirencester include: Made by Bob, Soushi, The Fleece, Somewhere Else, Keith's coffee shop, Jesse's Bistro, Pizza Express.

Lovely double bedroom within centrally located townhouse. Shops, restaurants, museum and parks only a few minutes walk away. Parking available upon request. Suits family, business people and individuals looking for stunning accommodation in a quiet but central position. One of three listings available.
Stunning Victorian family townhouse, decorated and furnished in keeping with the surroundings. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Cirencester and all amenities, but in a quiet residential road with no through traffic.
St Peter's Road is a quiet residential road of Victorian houses. As it is a no through road, we are lucky that there is little traffic which is what makes it so tranquil despite its prime location and it is just a 2 - 3 minute walk to the centre of town. The town offers a wide selection of coffee shops and independent retailers, alongside larger stores and a very good museum.

Cosy and private self contained first floor flat in Cirencester decorated with mid century furniture. There is free parking and the flat is an easy walk to shops, attractions and the town centre. There is a separate kitchen, bathroom and sitting room. The bedroom has a king size bed with visprung mattress. The sitting room has a small sofa bed, dining table and chairs to seat four and television. The kitchen has four hobs, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière and fridge.
This is a self contained flat so you can come and go as you choose. The kitchen has pots and pans, cooker, hobs, toaster, cafetière and a fridge, so you can decide whether to stay in and cook if you don't feel like going out. And you can stock the fridge with your own breakfast, fruit juice, booze or midnight snacks. So much more convenient than a hotel.
Cirencester is more than just a picturesque cotswold town, it is a place steeped in history. In Roman times Cirencester was the second largest town after London with a population of around twenty thousand people, not far off the number today. This flat is well situated for business travellers being within walking distance of St James Place and the Mitsubishi head office. For the the off-duty traveller there is a lot to see and do In Cirencester, there is a very good museum telling the history of the town over the last 2000 years, there is the ten thousand acre Bathurst Estate park for walkers (restrictions apply for dogs) and probably the most beautiful Polo grounds in the country. The hedge around the Manor house is reputed to be the largest Yew hedge in Europe. The church of St John the Baptist is supposed to be the largest Parish church in England and is very impressive. There are three parks, lots of restaurants, coffee shops, boutique clothing shops, art galleries and there are very good plays, shows, comedy and other entertainments at the theatres. The Cotswold Water park is only ten minutes by car and has great walks, cycle paths and food and drink as well as paddle boarding, sailing, wake boarding and other water sports. There are many regional activities to see if you time your visit right. Duck racing at South Cerney, Cheese Rolling at Coopers Hill, Polo matches, Wool Sack races, music festivals including Cirencesters own Phoenix festival, steam rallies and Fairford international air tattoo which might be the best air show in the world. Nearby there are a lot of wonderful Cotswold towns and villages, really good walks, country pubs and castles at Berkeley, Winchcomb and Warwick. There is also the Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Crocodiles of the World not too far away. Have a look at the Getting Around section on this page for travelling times to some of the local attractions and services.

My home is the top half of a large house, light & airy, smoke & pet free. It's a 15 minute stroll into Cirencester where you will find great coffee shops, restaurants, pubs & shops. There's a Museum, Arts Centre, 12th century Church, open air Victorian pool & a lovely park. We are surrounded by delightful villages including Bibury, 15 minutes drive away & many beautiful Historic houses & gardens to visit throughout the Cotswolds. The famous cities of Oxford & Bath are both a 45 minute drive.
My guest room has a very comfortable double bed with cotton non allergenic bed linen. Fluffy organic cotton towels are provided with quality toiletries. In the room you will find a complimentary tea/coffee tray and kettle, hairdryer and TV. Continental breakfast is served each morning consisting of fresh locally roasted coffee, tea, warm butter croissants, assorted toast, seasonal fruits, yoghurt and cereals...(advise if specialist milks are required.) The bathroom, shared with the host, is newly refurbished and has a bath and powerful shower. There is also a lovely private garden with tables and chairs for your leisure, perhaps in the evening with a glass of wine.
I am fairly new to Cirencester myself and learn something new most days, I am enjoying discovering the area having already established favourite walks, coffee shops and Historic houses. Cirencester park is within the Bathurst estate & literally up the road from my home, it is a lovely walk through the park into town. The Roman Amphitheatre is also just five minutes walk away.

Beautiful 18th-century Beehive Cottage, in the Cotswold village of Poulton, sleeps 6 guests across one king-size, one double and one twin bedroom. The cottage has a very well- equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, a separate Snug with a work area, a spacious family bathroom with a bath and a downstairs shower room/utility. Outside is a large, pretty garden and off-street parking for two cars, with free on street parking readily available.
Introduction As you pull onto the gravelled drive at Beehive Cottage, in the village of Poulton, you’ll immediately feel a sense of serenity as the history and beauty of the cottage greets you. It is an archetypal Cotswold property, built in the 1760’s with Victorian additions – the type of home you see featured in property magazines and wish you could stay! The owner has renovated Beehive Cottage very sympathetically, maintaining the traditional character of the cottage yet providing every modern convenience with a contemporary but stunning interior design – including richly pigmented, eco-friendly Farrow & Ball paints - plus everything you need for a thoroughly pampered, self-catered Cotswold holiday. Beehive Cottage’s front door is framed by wisteria and passionflower, with thick swathes of lavender in the garden’s raised beds, attracting butterflies and bees in the summertime. French doors open from the Kitchen-Dining area to an outdoor seating area, which wraps round the cottage to further seating and a barbecue. Steps leads up to a lawn, with mature planting, and a second large table, where you can sit and enjoy the last rays of evening sunshine looking back towards the cottage. The traditional character of Beehive Cottage, including a stunning inglenook fireplace (with a secret stone staircase behind winding up to Bedroom 3), original oak beams and exposed Cotswold stone walls combines fabulously with the carefully chosen modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen with 6-ring hob, a shower/utility room, a family bathroom, WiFi, a Smart TV, Bose speaker, a Snug with work area (for guests who have to check in to the office) and exquisite, decorations throughout the cottage that have been hand-painted by the owner. Poulton is a small but thriving Cotswold village with a traditional British pub, The Falcon Inn, serving British modern food, and featuring locally brewed cask ales. The village has a church (St Michael’s and All Angels) and a children's playground and playing field, called ‘Englands’, directly across the lane from the cottage. A traditional summer fete is held each year on the first Sunday after the August Bank Holiday. The closest food shops to the cottage are in Fairford, approximately 3 miles away (see ‘Local Amenities’). (please note: Poulton no longer has a village shop.)  FACILITIES  Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms across 1 king-size double bedroom, 1 standard double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom (2 singles)  2 bathrooms: 1 family bathroom (Bath, toilet, wash basin); 1 ground floor shower room (walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin)  Parking: driveway, with parking space for two cars. Two sofas and an armchair provide comfy seating for six guests to watch the Smart TV and enjoy the wood burning stove, while a window seat is the perfect place to perch and read a book. During renovation work, a stone stairway was unearthed behind the fireplace, leading up to the twin bedroom; providing a fascinating glimpse into the cottage’s past. (Although the staircase is open, the owners do not recommend using it as it is steep, narrow and uneven. A lock is provided on the twin bedroom door to prevent younger guests in that bedroom from using the staircase.) The cottage’s main staircase leads up from the Living Room to the three bedrooms and Family Bathroom Turn left down two stone steps to: The Snug-Study A delightful room between the kitchen and Living Room featuring flagstone flooring with a cosy, richly coloured rug, a desk (with pens, paper and colouring pencils), an antique glass-fronted bookcase with novels and local guides, and a two-seater leather sofa and an armchair with a footstool, perfectly placed to watch a meal being prepared or relax in the quiet of the Snug. Guests are provided with a starter supply of essentials, including teabags, Nespresso pods, instant coffee, fresh milk, oils, salt and pepper and cooking condiments. The large dining table comfortably seats six guests. Off the Living Room: Shower Room/Utility Through a door off the Living Room is the handy downstairs Shower Room/Utility with a walk-in corner shower (with hand-held and overhead shower), toilet, wash basin and heated towel radiator. The cottage’s Hotpoint washing machine is in this room, along with an outdoor and indoor airer for drying clothes, an iron and ironing board. Upstairs Stairs up from the Living Room lead to the carpeted landing and the cottage’s three bedrooms: Bedroom Three The first bedroom at the top of the stairs is the pretty twin bedroom, with exposed oak eaves, charming artwork, two single beds and a day sofa, all carefully arranged to provide plenty of room to walk around. The bedroom is furnished with bedside chests and lamps, a corner hanging rail, and a lovely window seat overlooking the garden’s outdoor seating area. A door at the back of the room opens to the steep, secret staircase down to the Living Room. This door can be bolted to stop young children using it. Bedroom Two Cross the landing to Beehive’s king-size bedroom, with its soft-yellow walls and accents of pink and red. Guests can watch the world go by, sitting in the window seat while reading a book from the wide selection of novels from the bedroom’s bookcase. The room is furnished with a sink-in KING bed, half-height wardrobe, a bedside chest of drawers with a reading light, and an impressive mirror. Hairdryer in drawer. Bedroom One At the end of the landing, up two stairs, is the master bedroom, affectionately known by the owner as the Butterfly Room, which features a sink-in, double-size bed and walls decorated with beautifully hand-painted butterflies. The room is furnished with a handsome, cherry wood chest of drawers and dressing table, bedside tables with reading lamps and a hanging rail with a shoe rack. With windows on three sides, overlooking the garden and the road below, the master bedroom is bright and light, but has exquisite hand-made, heavy curtains and a blind to ensure a really good night’s sleep. Family Bathroom Located next to Bedroom One, the Family Bathroom is practical yet exudes relaxation at the same time, with its painted wooden floor, half-panelled soft-grey walls and an intricately hand-painted partridge, complimented by a series of antique birds’ egg paintings. The bathroom features a full-length bath, with luxury bubble bath provided, a toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Outside Beehive Cottage has a charming garden with a lawn and a gravelled area with seating and parking for two cars. Wisteria and passionflower frame the front door and climb up to the bedroom windows, while in the summertime lavender blooms fill the air with their scent, attracting bees, butterflies and birds. Step through the French doors in the Kitchen to the outdoor seating area, with its oblong-shaped table, seating for eight and charcoal barbecue. Beyond the parking area, up a few steps, is an immaculate lawn with raised beds and an original beehive – no longer in use!

Welcome to The Hermitage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. The Hermitage is a romantic Cotswold stone cottage, located in the large grounds of a beautiful manor house in the picturesque village of Poulton, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Although small, Poulton has a well-regarded pub and a nice park close to the cottage. The village is five miles away from the Roman town of Cirencester, the largest market town in the Cotswolds, and is also close to many other picture-postcard Cotswold villages, including Bibury, Barnsley and Eastleach, with the stunning Coln Valley just a short drive away. As well as being close to the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds, Poulton is also well placed for exploring further afield places, such as Oxford, Bath, or even a day-trip into London. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Sitting in the grounds of Poulton’s lovely manor house, The Hermitage is a charming, self-contained cottage. The lovely oak front door opens into the main room, and the following rooms are in the cottage: Bedroom/living room: A stylish and inviting space with stone mullion windows and a cosy wood burning stove. This large room contains a king size bed, a dining table with four chairs, an arm chair, small sofa and a Smart TV; Kitchen: A step leads down from the living area to the well-presented kitchen, which contains an electric oven, four ring induction hob, fridge, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and kettle; Bathroom: Located off the kitchen, the bathroom contains a large walk in shower, toilet and wash basin. Directly outside the cottage, there is a private, unenclosed garden area. This includes a peaceful patio area, with a table and four chairs, plus a charcoal barbecue. There is private parking for one car directly outside the cottage.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

The Loft at The Retreat is a lovely unique and OFF GRID space in a stunning location. If you're not put off by it's low ceiling and minimal electricity (we use solar power for lighting/phone charging and have a portable DVD player which guests can use) Our shower is an outdoor shower with hot water and the toilet is a compost loo. The kitchen is a basic outdoor set up and guests are welcome to dine at our Viking inspired long table. Guests are also welcome to use our pizza oven and BBQ.
Whether it's Roman Cirencester or Bohemian Stroud, riding stables or glider experiences, quiet walks or just a chance to escape that you're after, there's something for everyone here. The loft is on our campsite which can site 6 tents so you may end up sharing the site with other people and dogs. We don't allow children under 12 and sorry no dogs allowed in the loft. There is a train track which runs along side our site so please expect to hear the sound of trains every so often.
We are situated between two fantastic typical country pubs so if you fancy locally sourced food and beer it's just a short walk along farm tracks and along an old canal path. The village shop is a 30 minute stroll through fields with stunning views (it doesn't take everyone as long but the views can be distracting) Carry a camera at ALL times and if you're anything like me a memory card to help store all the photos I'm sure you will take. The wildlife/valley/weather all create the most amazing photographs. Don't forget to make time for a trip to the Winstone's ice cream factory, a tiny ice cream shop in the middle of the common.

Converted in 2018, our outbuilding offers a modern take on a country suite. With separate bedroom, en-suite and large living space the detached annex is great for couples or singles to spend a few days away on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park - brilliant for walking and (flat!) cycling. Located at the end of a small residential cul-de-sac in the small village of Latton, we are close to the A419 giving perfect access to M4 and M5, great for those staying away for work.
Living room with sofa, tv and dining table. Bedroom with double bed (with drawers underneath) and bedside tables. En-suite with shower, WC and sink There is no kitchen, but kettle, toaster, microwave and small fridge provided. Sole use, secure bike / boot store attached to the rear of the annex - great for walking and cycling. Please let us know if you wish to use this and we will provide keys.
The Cotswold Water Park is all around us, great for walking and cycling or sailing, canoeing and swimming for the more adventurous. The market town of Cirencester (aka the capital of the Cotswolds) is 5 miles away.

This lovely double bedroom is ideally located for exploring the historic market town of Cirencester and the beautiful surrounding Cotswolds. Shops, restaurants, parks, an excellent museum and historic buildings are only a few minutes walk away from the house. Our accommodation is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families. This is one of three listings available.
Stunning Victorian family townhouse, decorated and furnished in keeping with the surroundings. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Cirencester and all amenities, but in a quiet residential road with no through traffic.
St Peter's Road is a quiet residential road with mainly Victorian houses. As it is a no through road, we are lucky that there is little traffic which is what makes it so tranquil despite its prime location and it is just a 2 - 3 minute walk to the centre of town. The town offers a wide selection of coffee shops and independent retailers, alongside larger stores and a very good museum.

Corner Cottage is in the heart of Cirencester which is known as the capital of the Cotswolds, as such it is the perfect base for exploring the many beautiful nearby villages and towns. You have an elegant bedroom with a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with shower. This is one of two rooms in the house so if you are needing more than one room please look at both listings.
This is a newly decorated, large bright and sunny double room, it has an extremely comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, a comfy chair, breakfast table and chairs and a beautiful antique dressing table, it has everything you need for a lovely nights sleep. The bathroom is just across the hall from your room, dressing gowns are provided together with large white fluffy towels and good quality toiletries.
Cirencester is known as the capital of the Cotswolds and as such is a perfect base to explore this wonderful area. We are 25 minutes from Cheltenham and Stroud and an hour from Oxford, Bath and Bristol but the local area offers an abundance of beautiful market towns and villages. There are many fantastic restaurants and pubs nearby, most of which I have sampled and am more than happy to discuss and recommend.

Altamente raccomandato

Lovely, cosy, EXTREMELY CENTRAL studio in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town, Cirencester! Less than 30 seconds walk to cafes and shops galore! This studio is situated just off the High Street and is surprisingly quiet considering its location. This studio consists of a generous sized bedroom/sitting room with a super comfy King Size bed, a separate bathroom and facilities for making tea and cereal for breakfast.
Free WiFi. This unique studio, has very creative roots as it was originally built for an artist. When the property is not rented, the airy, light feel of the studio with its north facing skylights, is still put to good use as a photography studio. Kay, the owner of the business, is also a professional Photographer. Dotted over the walls of the property you have the opportunity to see some of her work. When Kay has guests staying at the property, the working photography studio equipment will of course disappear! Guests are left to enjoy the warm, cosy comfortable space. Being in such a central location you have the freedom to pop in and out of the town with ease, dropping off your full bags of shopping as you go! This property is ideal for the solo traveller or for couples seeking a relaxed weekend away in beautiful Cotswolds. Due to its central location, it is also very suitable for those visiting Cirencester on business. We now boast an electric blanket, so you'll be toasty warm on those winter evenings....However if it's a heatwave we have air conditioning too! The best of both worlds!
If shopping’s not your thing, Cirencester offers many other wonderful things to do. There are lots of beautiful places to go for a walk : Cirencester Park, the Abbey Grounds and just taking a potter along the old back streets of the town you will see so many old beautiful Georgian and Tudor properties. Also within walking distance of the studio, there are many top notch restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. For leisure activities there’s a Lido and a Sports Centre. Other places of interest include The Corinium Museum and The Brewery Arts Gallery. Cirencester also boasts one of the country's oldest Charter Markets (mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, no less!), which is held weekly, every Friday in the town centre. There is also the Farmers' Market, which happens every second and fourth Saturday of the month, which offers local fruit, veg, game poultry, pies, locally brewed beer and to top it all off, locally made chocolate brownies (delicious).

The city of Bath, Stonehenge and Cheltenham, all within an hour. The cabin sits away from the main house ensuring complete privacy. Secure parking.
    Very secluded and private
Close to all the lovely Cotswold towns/villages and only 30 mins from bath abs Cheltenham .

Our beautiful new house is located in the heart of a Cotswold market town, Cirencester. The house is in a secluded private courtyard with its own private parking. The Coach House - Accommodates 6 people with two double bedrooms and one room with two singles. The house was built by us in 2017 so everything inside is brand new. We are currently adding to the property making it feel more like a home but it would serve as a great base point to explore the surrounding areas.
Our Space is different from a typical new build property with its unique design and open plan living. The house was designed to let as much natural light into the property making it feel like a more relaxing place to spend on a mini break. We hope you enjoy it.
The property is about 10-15 minutes walking distance to town centre of Cirencester. If you bring your dogs there are plenty of scenic walks right on our doorstep inc nature reserves and amphitheatres. Cirencester used to be an important early roman market town which is still evident today and you’ll find plenty of interesting places whilst exploring.
