Case Vacanze a Caersws

Appena prenotato a Caersws

A unique historic house with delightful rounded rooms and arches, restored to a high standard, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding hills. Situated close to the centre of this lively market town with parks, walks, cinema, restaurants etc.
The house is freshly decorated and light, with open plan ground floor consisting of kitchen, dining room and lounge. From the entrance a wide staircase to the first floor: one double bedroom (double bed) with ensuite shower room, separate toilet, hallway and study. From the study, a door leads up a narrow staircase to the second floor: ensuite bathroom, and double bedroom (double bed) with restricted headroom in places (please see photographs). Outside there is a shared courtyard and clothes drying green with linen line, accessed by the back door, or via the arched alleyway between numbers 3 and 4 Frankwell Terrace.
Traditional Welsh Market town, friendly warm colourful neighbours who will love to stop for a chat. Individual Shops, local cinema (£3.50-£5.00 each), indoor and outdoor sports facilities nearby. A good selection of restaurants, fast food and banking facilities are available in the town. The Round House is in the oldest part of town and designated conservation area. Very close by are two beautiful parks for sports, picnics, skate boarding and, at the weekends through the summer, children can ride on the model steam railway.
  • The Roundhouse is a great relaxing and quirky place to stay. We were really happy with the cleanliness and facilities. The hosts have been excellent, keeping in touch and responding to any of our queries quickly. I would definitely recommend the Roundhouse as a base if you fancy exploring the beautiful countryside and coast around mid Wales.

  • This place is fantastic. I booked it on behalf of my parents, who were astounded as to the cleanliness, location and overall quality of the house. In addition, John was incredibly hospitable and communicative. Thanks John!

  • Very peaceful and quirky little property close to town- great hosts!

  • A fantastic house, close to the centre of Newtown, still in a very secure area, where you always find parking space close to your door. The place is absolutely perfect for a visit with kids, there is load of space, very nice kitchen. John is a very kind and helpful host, he gave us a lot of suggestions in terms of places to visit, things to do... my kids loved the house, Newtown and this beautiful trip altogether. If you do decide to spend some time here, do listen to John's advise. You will not regret! Thanks a million to both him and his wife.

    Emanuele2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place is lovely you can see lots of care has been taken in making a great place to stay! Really nice squishy beds and great spaces to sit and unwind. We loved the record player and traditional games it’s nice to have no TV!

  • The hosts could not have been more available right from the moment of my enquiry. Their hospitality worked right through to the house itself which was superbly restored and perfect for two, feeling spacious beyond its actual volume. The location was ideal for immediate cycling out into the hills behind the town and beyond.

    anna2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • John was very easily contactable, before, during and after our stay. The house itself is lovely, quirky, spotlessly clean, tastefully renovated and very cosy. It is well equipped and John has gone to a lot of trouble to provide suggestions for activities and local walks. The house opens directly off the street but we were not bothered by noise (apart from New Year's Eve, which was to be expected). Very positive experience and will consider staying again, probably in the spring/summer months.

    Elaine2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely week at The Round House. We loved its quirkiness, the way it's decorated and the pictures and (Website hidden by Airbnb) very handy to be able to walk over the bridge into town which has most things one might need.Lovely wool shop too! John gave us ideas of where to visit and the information pack and maps were great.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly, we even had fresh eggs and a lemon drizzle cake, ( birthday surprise). Due to the cold weather they supplied us with extra wood to keep us warm for the log burning fire. Hope to visit again, could not fault a thing. Open plan, double height space. Converted 19th century chapel to very comfortable specification. It's a space to relax after enjoying all the surrounding areas have to offer whether you are walking, cycling, touring or popping down the shooting range or local pub. Four bedrooms, sofa bed and plenty of dining space in main room or at breakfast bar. Rangemaster double oven. Plenty of sofa space to relax. The house has solar heating, underfloor pipes downstairs and highly insulated and draftproof.
  • Lovely conversion and plenty of space.

  • Delighted to be writing this review as we've just returned from spending 2 nights over New Year at Roberts Chapel. Host Communication was excellent. Quick to reply to our initial booking request and plenty of info to help us plan our arrival. Our party consisted of 4 adults, 4 kids (9-15) and once small dog. Easy to find, plenty off road parking. The Chapel is extremely spacious and as its actually a home and not a 'rental only' its filled with Roberts collection of Art, Motor Racing Memorabilia, Road Cycling parephernalia, Literature and Vinyl (of which I have a large collection of so loved having a flick through it all!). The whole place is Eclectic and really welcoming. Plenty of loo's and bathrooms. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The Kitchen area is great for cooking up a storm, lots of work surfaces. Huge dining table! Fantastic lounging area so all 8 of us were comfy into the early hours! Overall, fantastic. Would we return? Absolutely.

    Nik2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely chalet in a beautiful surrounding. Quiet and relaxing, the perfect getaway. The chalet is bigger than expected. Plenty of room for storage (clothes etc). You definitely need a car to get around. Caersws village has a shop, pub and fish and chip shop (very yummy), you can get to this in less than 10 minutes in the car. There was a list of places to visit in the chalet, very easy for us to see where to go, especially as we hadn't planned any trips. Would definitely go back. The dogs loved it, especially the large garden around the chalet.

My place is close to A pub and a well stocked shop there is also various activities in the village locality, such as rally school, fishing an down hill biking.. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families.
Eira’s Den is all kitted out with everything you need for your luxury escape from the everyday stresses of life. Situated in it’s own little secluded field overlooking a gently flowing river to the fields beyond where the sheep quietly graze, the whole site is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.
  • Very nice part of wales, warm cosy accommodation. Was what we were looking for. We had some issues with the water supply in the bathroom but Amber managed to find us a kind of solution. Main road is a bit close and provided some noise but sound of the stream was lovely and helped drown this out. Many thanks !

  • Lovely cabin, set in its own rural space. Ideal for a relaxing break, well equipped, with everything provided that you would need to enjoy your stay. The cabin is set by a stream, with outlooks across fields. The interior of the cabin was very comfortable with fresh linen provided, firewood for the wood burner and outdoor firepit. The fairy lit Gezebo style eating area was nicely equipped complete with pizza oven /wood stove and camping gas hob. The cabin was only a short walk to the local pub in Carno who serve good food and a great location for accessing the southern areas of the Snowdonia National Park. Would recommend to anyone looking for a different style accommodation. and would definitely go again. Had a great break - thanks.

  • Beautiful secluded site, with a very cosy ambiance inside. Although we didn't use the outside facilities, I can see that these would be amazing!

    Holly2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The site was beautifully done and was lovely to see that it was right next to the river as shown in the pictures. The Den was homely and had all the basics that were needed i.e. tea, coffee etc. Beautifully decorated with a real homely feel to it, lovely and warm with a cosy fire. At night the site makes you feel like you are in a world of your own with the lights adding a beautiful ambiance. Table area has everything you need and is clean and tidy.... Perfect area for a BBQ. Would definitely recommend staying here and I will definitely be doing so again :D

  • Brilliant. Such a lovely stay and lovely area. The host was very welcoming and will stay again. Lovely bbq area

    Lisa2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amber was a fantastic host. The Den is off a main road but it is in total isolation and there are no other residents in sight of the field etc. Stone-oven, gas Hobs, crockery and cutlery all provided too. Beautiful little hide away. Bonfire and BBQ space and log burner inside the den. Compost Loo and warm water via a generator (wasnt sure how much fuel consumption would be needed but was certainly enough for our one night getaway). Perfect location and amenities. We were arrived mid afternoon and due to the pub not serving food amber recommended a local cafe. Really worth a visit, a quirky cafe with an attached rabbit farm and toy museum.

    Sarah2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amber was waiting for us when we arrived, the Glamping is very cosy and I'd imagine a nice place to stay for a few days. We just used it for a quick night to stay very local for some filming.

My place is close to public transport, beautiful scenery, country walks, fishing, water sports, tourist attractions and a local pub with superb food. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
  • All was great, I recommend staying at Lorna's place! :)
