The Outhouse is located in our garden and guests have use of a private outdoor sitting area and parking . Stradbally village and both village beaches are 5 and 10 minutes walk away. The coastline between Stradbally and Tramore is stunning and unspoilt and the Comeragh Mountains are only a short drive. Access to the Greenway and bike hire is a 10 minute drive. The medieval seaside town of Dungarvan is a 20 minute drive, and the medieval city of Waterford is 35 minutes.
The Outhouse is a new build consisting of one large space shared by the sitting, dining and sleeping area. There is a separate small utility area and a large bathroom. The Outhouse does not have a kitchen but a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge are supplied. A cot and a high chair are available on request and the entire space is wheelchair accessible.
Stradbally is an old village close to unspoil beaches and coves, and the Comeragh Mountains. Crough Wood and Coumshingaun in the Comeraghs are two of our favourite walking routes. The Greenway (48km) is a wonderful amenity on our doorstep stretching between Dungarvan and Waterford City. Dungarvan is a lively seaside town with many very good cafe's and resturants. Garden lovers will be spoilt for choice in this area (Mount Congreve, Lismore Castle etc).

See the photos which speak thousands of words about this converted property and the surrounding area.
The Old School House Ballylaneen is a converted National School which is over 200 years old. It is open plan with original stonework similar to some converted barns I've seen. There are 2 double size bedrooms situated on mezzanines at either end of the building (see photos) One has a kitchen/dining area beneath and the other has a double bedroom and bathroom beneath. There is then a large open living space between with a multi-fuel burning stove, large flat screen TV and seating. The property is family friendly but one of the stairwells is unsuitable for children younger than 7 or 8 years old.
It's a peaceful rural environment teeming with flora & fauna. The surrounding region is stunning and has numerous natural & built attractions for visitors to explore & enjoy.
  • Grande esperienza! Bel posto rustico. Mathew era super gentile e disponibile.

This home is great for families (with kids),couples, walkers, any one who loves the sea and likes to get away from it all. We accept well behaved pets
Built by our Grandfather in 1939 and used for family holidays by 6 generations of our family, this much loved holiday home, sleeping up to 7 guests is situated in a stunning position looking out over the cliffs towards the Atlantic ocean on Ireland's beautiful copper coast about 1.6 km from the pretty village of Annestown. The area offers fantastic scenery and lovely beaches. The nearest small town is Tramore about 12 km away, or the city of Waterford which has a small airport is about 20km away. The accommodation is basic but comfortable comprising 3 double bedrooms ( one furnished with a double bed and two furnished with twin beds) and 1 single bedroom off the kitchen, all rooms have plenty of storage space. A spacious light and airy living/dining room with picture windows offers fabulous sea views and is furnished with 2 sofas and a chair arranged around the fire place. A Long purpose made table is set in front of one window and provides plenty of space to eat, paint, and play - all at the same time if you want to! There is no TV or Wifi access, and limited mobile signal, making this the ideal place to get away from your electronic devices! There are plenty of books, games, and jigsaw puzzles if the weather lets you down, but the views across the bay are captivating in all weathers. The kitchen is old fashioned, but well equipped with a fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, kettle and dishwasher, as well as plenty of cook ware and cutlery and china and a multi fuel stove. There is one bathroom with a large bath, and separate shower cabinet, a toilet and basin, a separate WC and a third outside toilet (if you are brave enough to face the spiders!) the washing machine is housed here. There is no tumble drier, but there is a long washing line and a victorian airer in the kitchen. The house has a large garden bordered with with dry stone wall. There is plenty of parking space for several cars

Ritornerei sicuramente.

    Denise2018-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ottimo cottage, ottima accoglienza e ottimo villaggio!

Stunning beach house with direct access to an incredible secluded cove. The Boatstrand Beachhouse is our much loved home from home. It is ideal for families and friends sharing alike. We have hosted large Christmas gatherings and spent long summer holidays enjoying the spectacular beaches in the area including the one at the bottom of the garden!
Cool cliff top coastal retreat with breath taking panoramic sea views and a garden sweeping down to your own beach. Go crabbing in the sparkling cove, walk 10 minutes to nearby Boatstrand harbour and buy lobster straight off the boat. Or catch your own dinner from your own cove or one of the many along the stunning copper coast. Then back to your open plan but cosy home from home. Enjoy the huge garden with BBQ when the weather permits and when it lets you down play games and get cosy by the roaring fire. In all weathers the vista will blow you away. The Boatstrand Beachhouse is truly stunning location where memories are made.
This is Ireland’s Copper Coast, packed with undiscovered gems. The coastline is dotted with amazing beaches left and right of the Beach House. Other events nearby include • Dunmore East Blue Grass Festival (22nd – 25th August) • Waterford Spraoi (2nd – 4th August) • Christmas Festival Waterford (22rd Nov – Dec 23rd) • Christmas Day swim (for the brave!) at Kilmurrin Cove five minutes’ drive away

    Daniel2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ottimo posto, ottima posizione!

    John2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Martina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

Julia's cottage is named after an ancestor who previously inhabited it and has been in the family for over 150 years. Refurbished in 2018, it offers 2 bedrooms, 1 mezzanine accessed by stairs with a single bed, 1 bathroom, a living area, kitchen, patio and garden with a terrific view of the valley. It is situated in a traditional Irish village, which offers a family run pub, village shop, church and valley walking route which goes past a ruined castle and down to the sea (about 5 km).
The front door opens into a cosy lounge with a fireplace, comfy sofa and television. Both main bedrooms are generous in size, one with twin beds and one with a standard double. Both have bedside tables, chests of drawers and a wardrobe. The single bedroom mezzanine area is accessed by stairs from the living room and is open ended with a balcony. Therefore this room is not as private as the other two bedrooms. There is a separate spacious modern bathroom with a powerful shower (no bath). The kitchen has a cooker, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and ample work surfaces. The kitchen area also contains an extendable dining table adjacent to the patio doors which open onto the patio and garden and through which you can admire spectacular views of the Anne valley. The garden is mainly grass and enclosed by a fence with open access to the parking area which contains a shed. Patio furniture and BBQ equipment are stored in the shed and are available for guest use. The property is located on a no through road and therefore is very quiet. Electricity and heating (oil) is included in the price.
The property is in a traditionally Irish village with essentials available at the village shop and only twenty-five minutes' drive from Waterford City, the oldest city in Ireland. Renowned for it's Crystal, Waterford is also brimming with history, culture and experiences for everyone to enjoy. There are many walks nearby, golf clubs and shopping centres in Waterford. The nearest town (12 minutes) is the seaside town of Tramore which has much to offer everyone. There are large supermarkets such as Tesco and Lidl, pharmacies, banks, amusements and many dining options. ~ On Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays you can catch a bus from Dunhill into Waterford City. ~ The Anne Valley Walk in Dunhill follows the River Anne through forest and marshland and a gravel track leading to Dunhill Castle. There are fine views throughout the walk with protected species of flora and fauna. ~ Dunhill Castle, castle ruins dating back from around the 1200's. Admission is free and there is on-site parking, however the site is not suitable for those with mobility issues. ~ Waterford Golf Club, 18 hole parkland course on the out skirts of Waterford City. Visitors are welcome, green fees apply as does a neat dress code. Practice facilities and clubhouse on-site. ~ Close to the Waterford Greenway, a scenic cycle/footpath following the route of the old railway between Waterford and Dungarvan. The nearest access is Killoteran car park (15 min) or Kilmacthomas (20 min) and bikes can be hired at the Waterford and Dungarvan ends or at Kilmacthomas in the middle. ~ Situated within an hours drive of the Comeragh and Knockmealdown mountains and their fabulous scenery. A short, easy walk to the Mahon falls from the car park above Kilmacthomas (25 min) should not be missed with spectacular views towards the coast. The mediaeval city of Lismore is 55 min away with its impressive castle and a short drive from there takes you to the 'Vee', a mountain pass with spectacular views both north and south with more adventurous walking available. Mountain hiking trails can also be found above Ballymacarbary along the beautiful Nire valley (1 hour away). ~ Other places of interest include: Cahir, with its picturesque castle, the pretty coastal town of Dungarvan (30 min) and the fishing village of Dunmore East (30 min) with its working harbour (where you can buy fresh fish), activity centre and attractive beaches. A trip on the Passage East ferry takes you to Hook Head with many historical sites, sandy beaches and the second oldest working lighthouse in the world. ~ Further afield are the Rock of Cashel , Ireland's premier ancient monument, and Cork which can both be reached in an hour and a half. ~ Some of the best river fishing in Ireland is available within an hour's drive on the river Blackwater, or more locally on the river Suir. Fishing is also possible on lakes within the Tramore area and sea fishing charters are available at Dunmore East or Dungarvan. There is also good shore fishing to be had on local beaches and the surrounding rocks.
