Appena prenotato a Ashland

This little creek side cabin in the woods is located just outside of Talent, Oregon and is nestled among towering pine trees. It sits just feet from flowing Wagner Creek, in which you can dip your feet and can hear from your windows at night. The cabin features a comfortable queen size bed in the entry/sleeping area and another in the main living area. The kitchen has a sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, electric skillet, electric griddle, slow cooker, electric tea kettle, dishes, glasses, silver ware, cooking utensils and a charcoal barbeque outside. The cozy front porch and outdoor table invite you to relax with your morning coffee or bundle up for some extraordinary stargazing. Guests are free to wander the property, which consists of the main house and cabin, and are encouraged to enjoy the bounty of fruit trees that dot the property. Your host will generously accommodate additional supplies or essentials to make your visit most enjoyable.
Known in the neighborhood as “the last house before the concrete road ends,” and a original church camp in the Talent Historical society the cabin is nestled among towering woods and a year round creek. Although only 4 1/2 miles up Wagner Creek Road, the neighborhood feels like worlds away. After a long day enjoying everything our region has to offer, the cabin is a perfect place to come back to relax and enjoy.
  • I can positively declare that Jodie was EXTREMELY welcoming ...and generous with the breakfast items she greeted you with. A delightful experience for which we would gladly return. Thank you, Jodie

  • Awesome cabin in seclusion. The creek and hammock just outside the door could not be more picturesque. Within one hour of our arrival, we hiked, then shot a bow and arrow with the host. Now, name me a Four Seasons that offers this.

  • Jodie was so sweet and welcoming to us. She stayed in contact with us ahead of time so we didn't get lost. The cabin was beautiful! Clean, cozy, and tranquil! The cabin sits right next to the creek with a beautiful view. The cabin was nice, private and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this stay, the trees, greenery and cabin are beautiful! Jodie also recommended a great dinner spot in Jacksonville called C Street Bistro! Delish!! :)

  • This is an absolutely beautiful and healing place, and we loved the short time we had there. Jodie was very helpful and quick to respond. We definitely hope to stay again, thank you so much!

    Laura2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jodie's place was a perfect road trip stopover for us. It was clean and warm and cozy with beautiful views and easy access to the highway. Would definitely stay again!

  • Jodie was very quick to respond to our requests and eager to have us stay. She also made accommodations for our two children which was very sweet of her. We were given accurate directions and were able to find her place even though it was getting dark. The cabin was cozy and just above a small stream which we loved. It was nicely appointed with some truly beautiful woodwork and décor. Our time there was very short but it was a clean, quiet, and welcoming place to spend the night. Thank you to Jodie for her hospitality. We had a short drive through Talent, Oregon (the local town just off interstate 5) then a lovely meandering drive into the forest and part way up the mountain. When we arrived at the cabin we found it surrounded by woods with a babbling stream that wandered leisurely down the hill close by. The area was very quiet with the exception of an occasional vehicle we could hear but not see. There was a cute covered porch and nice table to relax outside. Next time we stay with Jodie we will be sure to explore the area.

    Jamie2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin a ways outside of town. I didn't realize how far it was up in the mountains. It feels very remote and is in a very pretty area. Everything was clean and comfortable. Jodie gave us excellent directions to the house.

  • We were passing through the Ashland area on our way back to Sacramento from a wedding in Portland. We were very tired from wedding festivities, and this cabin was exactly what we needed! The pictures online are impressive, but it's even better in person. The setting is serene and so peaceful, the cabin itself is updated and very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer! Our dog enjoyed meeting the dogs who live there and exploring the property. We arrived late, almost 11pm, and Jodie and her familiy were so gracious. We will be back!!

This private, comfortable, two story guest house is located one block from Downtown! With new stylish furniture, a large furnished private deck, and a space that can comfortably sleep 4, it's sure to give you a great visit. Enjoy a short walk to Shakespeare (6-8 mins per iPhone map), great coffee shops, Lithia Park, amazing restaurants, or stay in and enjoy the view off the private second story deck. We feel fortunate to offer such a lovely space in such a great location. PA number on file.
Permitted by the City of Ashland, the guest house is nearly 700 sq. feet (not including the deck!) and has been recently updated with fresh paint, new furniture, new appliances, new bedding, new kitchen ware, and new towels (practically everything is new!). It offers a spacious downstairs bathroom (with tub and shower), living room, kitchen, loft bedroom, air conditioning, and a large private deck. We offer a new king sized bed in the loft and a new full sized pull out sofa sleeper in the living room. There is a spiral staircase which connects the living room to the loft. One of our favorite parts is the large private deck which sits on the second floor. It has a rural feel but sits atop downtown! For those traveling with children, we offer baby gates, a high chair, outlet covers, and a pack-n-play (upon request.) We also have some children's dishes, books, toys and DVD's. We also offer coffee and tea for you to enjoy! Please note - due to Ashland's strict zoning requirements, we are not able to offer a traditional cooking stove/oven. For those who wish to dine in, we provide high quality table top induction burners (the same that most stoves offer), a large toaster oven (which can fit a 16" pizza), coffee pot and electric tea kettle, and a microwave. While we were disappointed we were not able to provide a traditional stove, we were happy to discover such well designed and effective alternatives.
We are located in the beautiful historical Ashland district. We feel very fortunate to live in such a handsome neighborhood.
  • This is an amazing spot! Very stylish and spacious - two levels with an awesome spiral staircase and outdoor patio! Very clean and everything you would possibly want in a rental. Great location!!! You can walk everywhere downtown Ashland!!! Scott and Becky were very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. They also made us some delicious cookies!

    Chrissy2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Scott and Becky's guest house is a wonderful place for you to stay in Ashland. It is just blocks from downtown, and let's you explore Ashland stress-free. They were wonderful communicators regarding check-in, check-out and plentiful recommendations of things to explore nearby. This place has been the best Airbnb I've stayed at this far. Extremely clean, tidy, air conditioning was a huge plus (90 degrees outside when we visited). There is also a lovely deck off of the bedroom, which is perfect for drinking coffee and watching the sun rise. Thank you both again for letting us stay at your guest house. I'm glad we were able to meet face to face in passing.

  • The cottage in Ashland is everything and more that you see from the pictures! So close to everything in downtown historic Ashland. A true gem from the cottage itself to the wonderful hosts!

    Linda2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this space and my stay in Ashland. The location could not have been better for the Shakespeare Festival or Lithia Park. Thank you for the fruit, snacks and the coffee/cream! Mornings out on the patio were a treat, compete with deer grazing in the meadow beyond! Already looking forward to my next stay.

    lori2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Scott and Becky's place. Neat, clean, new-feeling space. Great loft and nice private outside deck, off the loft. Literally just a three-minute walk to the corner of the main downtown area and right on the edge of Ashland Creek and Lithia Park. Great space and location.

    Guy2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • My friend & I both really loved this place. Beautiful, comfortable, thoughtfully stocked, lovely view from the balcony, just around the corner from downtown, yet quiet, residential, with lots of butterflies, trees, and even deer! Thanks Scott & Becky for being great hosts!!

    Kahreen2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place! So clean and comfortable. Love the snacks and beverages provided, the DVD collection, and instructions to operate lights, fans, and DVD player.

    Robin2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Scott and Becky were great hosts. They were extremely thorough with instruction for the apartment. I asked them to give me some suggestion on places to go and then sent me a huge list of recommendations. The place exceeded my expectations. I felt very comfortable here. Even though there pictures in airbnb are great it's even better in real life. Thank you both for everything!

  • What a treat to come home to Roxanne's immaculately clean and spacious room with perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. After being very flexible with my traffic delayed arrival time I found the room full of thoughtful touches such as a drawer full of snacks, little notes about how things worked and reams of information about activities in the area. I haven't tasted a goldfish cracker in years! There's even a map to the locals shortcut to downlown Ashland making it a breeze to walk to Lithia park, restaurants or Shakespeare theaters. Perfectly located and a great value, I have only good things to say about my small vacation in Ashland at Roxanne's.

    Delise2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place!! Roxanne is super friendly and this room is beautiful! It's a lot bigger than I thought too! There's plenty of street parking if you're driving and super close to many coffee shops and restaurants; I highly recommend checking out Brickroom. The Wii U was super fun to play, as I don't have one myself, and the bathroom was very spacious. I would defiantly come back!

    Kryssa2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Roxanne's place was everything it promised and more. The private bathroom was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. There were coffee and tea and snacks available. Roxanne was a very gracious and relaxed host, and even helped me find a neighbor to aid in jump starting my car when I had a dead battery in the morning. I would definitely return to Roxanne's if I needed a place to stay in the Ashland area.

    Evan2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Roxanne's place was fantastic! The room was very private, extremely clean, with lots of unexpected, modern amenities, and allowed us off-street parking in their personal driveway. Hosts were extremely kind. Tremendous value!

The location was (URL HIDDEN) walking to distance to everything we needed and wanted to do. The communication with David was spot on and he accommodated us in spite of our late reservation. 92½ Church Street. A private apartment with a large bedroom, full kitchen, bath with shower. Vintage styling with loads of special touches, ONE BLOCK from downtown. All the comfort of home and so close to the action. Large yard. Permitted.
Vintage style, modern amenities. This apartment is located within one of Ashland's oldest homes. The apartment is freshly painted with new flooring, bedding and towels. Guest comments; "you have such a beautiful home, with so many thoughtful touches, so wonderful." "DREAMIER THAN WE HAD ENVISIONED AND SERVED AS A PERFET COZY RETREAT... (yes it was all caps) .
Beautiful historic neighborhood. Ashland is the place to be and we are the place to be in Ashland.
  • We had a great stay in Leslie's apartment - it was comfortable, spacious, and super close to the theater/downtown area. Couldn't ask for a better location!

    Meiyang2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie has really honored her Victorian home’s past with the beautiful renovation of her suite. It looks like something out of an Anthropologie catalog (perhaps because the focal point of the room-bird print curtains are from there) and there’s a carefully curated mix of antiques, modern, and replica pieces thorughout. Perhaps because of this and the high ceilings, it has an airy feel that is welcome after a long road trip. We were really impressed with the thoughtfulness of our host. There was a slight mix up with the reservation, and Leslie was incredibly gracious and left us a dear little note on stationary along with a bottle of wine. She also gave us some great tips on a nearby dog park and hiking trail for our pup. Ditto for dinner suggestions- though there’s an emergency “pasta in a pinch” basket in the kitchen for those who need it, which I thought was a nice touch. That’s pretty much the theme of this home- lots of little details that make it a wonderful whole. We enjoyed looking through the books scattered around the suite, along with the Smart TV (with Hulu on tap). And bonus- when we went to take the dog out in the morning, we met a deer right in the front yard. All in all, it was a really lovely stay. We hope to stop by again on our way back from Canada!

    Stephania2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this little apartment! The decorating is lovely and the proximity to downtown can't be beat, you're a quick walk around the corner or through the park to the playhouses, restaurants, and shops that you'll want to visit. The bed was extremely comfortable and we felt very cozy and welcome. We can't wait to stay here again!

    Haley2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The room is nice and quiet with private bathroom. Excellent bed, pleasant hostess. Location superb — walk to downtown.

    Severo2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie's place is so charming and wonderful. When I pulled up I was greeted by 2 baby deers, and this is one block from downtown Ashland! Don't hesitate to book Leslie's place. It's a gem.

    Tommy2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location in Ashland! Leslie and I had a lag in our initial communication(s) but I put that on the phone company and not the host as I received texts two days after our stay. Once we connected with Leslie she was very helpful in showing us the apartment and offering suggestions in town. The apartment is clean and the bed was very comfortable. Off street parking is located just outside the door so hauling bags is not bad. There is plenty of room in the apartment and lots of windows to let in the light. Overall we had a great time and would certainly stay here again!

    Michael2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment on Church Street is spacious and light, clean and comfortable. The location is superb, just a few minutes from Lithia Park. Leslie was helpful and easy to communicate with. It was an excellent stay for me.

Bedroom in historic home. Built in 1896, updated recently. Has private entrance, queen sized bed and large adjoining bathroom with roomy, tiled shower, no tub. Easy walk to the Oregon Shakespeare festival, Southern Oregon University or a neighborhood coffee shop. Small porch where you can enjoy a cup of tea. Lovely old home in great neighborhood. Large, beautiful yard with veggies and fruit trees. Enjoy the deer as they graze the property. People walk by and comment on how much they love the home, some even say it is their favorite house in Ashland! Wi-fi . Organic coffee/tea in room. Long time Ashland residents. Would love to have you in our home.
  • Great location and nice comfortable room. Everything was really nice.

  • Would absolutely stay again. Very private room and bath with it's own entrance. I never met Phyllis personally, but the room was clean and comfortable. Fresh water and coffee was provided in room! I would stay again.

    Sharon2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying in this cozy suite. It's set off from the rest of the house, but Phyllis is available when you need her. The walk to the center of town is a gentle hill, 10 minutes for a good walker. Perfect!

    Maia2012-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect, charming place to stay for our one-night stopover in Ashland. Phyllis was friendly and helpful, especially when we left some things behind! We would definitely stay here again.

    Molly and Troy2013-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Phyllis's room was cozy and comfy and private with its own entrance. Phyllis was very nice and accommodating, and provided all the info I needed. It was a good location in Ashland. All and all a good experience.

    Mary2013-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Per Phyllis' instructions, the key to our room was just where she said it would be, our room was spotlessly clean with coffee fixings, wine glasses, cream in the fridge, all waiting for us. This Airbnb is in a quiet neighborhood, affording a peaceful night's sleep after a day of plays. The bed is very comfortable and the room temperature was also very comfortable even with 100-degree weather outside.

    Christine2015-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Phyllis's little room with attached bathroom for 6 nights while exploring Ashland and area. It's very close to the Shakespeare Festival and local restaurants, so walking was the way to go. The room was equipped with a kettle so we could have coffee or tea in the morning before heading out. The bed was nice and clean, clean towels were provided but if you need a hair dryer bring one. The walkway to the little suit was a little rough, mind the deer droppings, lots of weeds and vines. We didn't see Phillis but for the first and last nights. for the price and location it was a good deal.

    Barb 2013-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Key was readily available in spite of Phyllis' absence, which was nice. And room was clean and ready, if not particularly charming. Neighborhood was very quiet. Bed was comfortable. On the other hand, we found this to be rather modest accommodations for the money in our honest opinion. Although there was access to the kitchen and use of the fridge, honestly the dirty dishes piled in the sink and on counter made it rather unappealing. We warmed a meal and ate in the room.

  • The location of this place is *terrific* and the price is very good for the location. The bed and bedding were comfortable, and the room had all the conveniences I'd expect from a B&B or little hotel, while being roomier than some. It's definitely unusual in that you're in a little apartment above an antique shop, and currently there is no lockable door between you and the shop (though Melody tells me that may change in future), but we felt perfectly secure. The shop isn't really every open and the only person likely to be walking around downstairs is Melody's quite deaf 100-year-old mother or her caregiver. We hope the place will be available the next time we're in town!

    Thea2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to rent. Melody and her mom were great partners and they gave us many hints as to...... where to go, what to do & see while there. I highly recommend staying there.

  • The location is perfect and has everything we needed for our stay:comfortable, charming and convenient!

    Sheffield2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Melody was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful. The location truly is amazing, an easy 2 minute walk to the main downtown streets so you can just leave your car in the convenient guest parking and forget about it! The room is above the antique shop, and you walk through the shop to access it (the stairs to the room are blocked with a screen so customers don't wander up, but there's not a door.) The shop was closed the whole time I was there, so I was never wading through customers to get to the room, or worried about people wandering up. The room itself was adorable and there is clearly a lot of care put into making guests feel welcome and relaxed. I would definitely stay there again!

    Chelsey2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was totally delightful. Biggest perks: excellent location, adorable room, super comfy bed, lots of reading material, sweet little details. Loved it!

    Jessica2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at this very central location.

    Janice2017-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location makes this place the best. It has one parking space which is great and most places to visit, especially the theaters, are within 5 minute walk. Ruby across the street is excellent for breakfast or lunch. Gil's also across the street is fine for a beer or cocktails. We found these places to be fine from a noise point. Some of the best restaurants are an easy walk from Melody's.

I know we like to travel with our dogs but this entire place is carpeted and I have to watch out for our hundreds of guests. Value: Part of the room rate and the cleaning fee come back to me. Airbnb takes a large percentage from me, and charges you a larger percentage. When considering “Value”, please base this off of actual room rate and cleaning fee, vs considering your entire cost, thanks! Communication of Host: Upon booking, you will receive a Welcome Email from me letting you know our address, where to park and how to enter the room which has 24 hour access. Communication beyond that is completely up to you! I do encourage guests to let me know if there is a need to meet upon arrival, via text message. Arrival Ease: There is no “check-in” process involving me as your Host. Your room will be clean and ready whenever your party arrives, and you can arrive any time day or night. Airbnb only gives me that 3-5 window from which to choose, but please check in any time after 3 unless we've discussed early check-in options. Location: We are in the Historic Downtown District of Ashland on the corner of Siskiyou Blvd and Union Street. The address is 514 Siskiyou Blvd. Please mapquest any specific distances from the starting location of 514 Siskiyou Blvd. The walk to OSF is roughly 5 minutes and is a very slight downhill, the walk home is very slight uphill. There are well lit sidewalks for walking home after shows. In the pictures, you can see a photo standing at Siskiyou and Union toward town/Ashland Springs Hotel to give you an idea of our location. If you have specific questions about distance from our home, please feel free to ask, I’m happy to help. Overall Experience: It is our intention to provide you with a wonderful home away from home, however, we realize this category is subjective. We hope you will communicate with us right away if something is amiss to give us the chance to give you a 5 star vacation. We host over 200 parties all year in this room and I'm so proud of our ratings! NOTE: If you are a larger group, we also have another room in the MAIN HOUSE which is across the yard and is listed on Airbnb as ASHLAND CARTER HOUSE, GARDEN ROOM. Should you decide to take it as well, I'll ask you to reserve it through Airbnb as well. FAQ: Yes, we are IN town. You can REALLY walk everywhere. Yes, you can use the pool from June through August - it's not heated but it's small so it stays a nice temperature. We provide pool towels. Yes, you can use the back yard and summer outdoor games. It really only sleeps 4. There is no laundry. Yes, there is ample parking in addition to ample street parking. Yes, we have wine glasses. Yes, there is a full kitchen. Both beds are QUEEN. The sofabed is nice, it has been positively reviewed by guests but at the end of the day, comfort is one of those personal things. Pillows are provided but if you REALLY love your own pillow, feel free to bring it. No smoking on the premises. Yes, there is AC in the master bedroom behind the headboard/curtain. Yes, there is heat that you control with your own thermostat. No pets, I’m so sorry! It’s SO hard to say no because we have dogs on site but too many travelers are allergic so I really can’t allow pets. Cancellation policy is listed on this website, it's a pre-set AIRBNB policy - if you need to cancel or change, you initiate it by requesting it through this website.
We are in the center of it all. We just walk or bike wherever we need to go. The lighted walk home from the theatre gives us just enough time to discuss how much we loved the show, dinner, movie, ice cream, bars...whatever it is we did.
  • Ashland is a sweet town, and it's wonderful to be walking distance from everything--especially if you have theatre tickets! Katy's place is everything she promised. Delightful.

  • Very nice, clean, airy and uncluttered one bedroom apartment above a garage, looking out over trees and greenery. The full kitchen had lots of appliances, and cookware. We saved money by buying breakfast foods and eating there. It was also convenient for reheating leftovers from meals at local restaurants. Quiet even though close to downtown and on a main road. The heaters worked well to quickly warm the rooms in mid-November. Be aware that the stairs to the room are narrow but there is a chair lift for folks unable to climb stairs, which is great! Also, the bed is high and footstools are provided for shorter people like me. It was a very good bed! Katy was very responsive to the one request we made. And the doggies are very nice, especially the white Lab.

  • The apartment is centrally located, comfortable, and clean - with great access to amenities.

  • Great location in a lovely, walkable downtown. Quiet retreat. Clean, comfortable beds, and overall welcoming. No AC but windows and a fan in the living room provided airflow for a good midsummer night's sleep. Everything to make us feel at home was just where we looked for it. Katy was timely and friendly in her communication. Would definitely stay again.

  • We had a truly excellent time at the Carter House in Ashland. It was a cozy little in-law apartment that had everything we needed: an entire kitchen, an extremely comfortable, charming four-poster bed (both of us woke up with absolutely no back pain, which hasn't happened in years!), breakfast fixings such as coffee, tea, creamers, and a coffee pot, ice cubes in the freezer, a shared swimming pool, plus a bathroom with a good tub for soaking after those long Shakespearean performances. Katy and Jessie were very friendly, available for anything we needed, such as an extra front door key and topographical map, and gave us some very good restaurant recommendations. We loved Smithfield's (bacon beignets to seriously die for.) The location was excellent, just a block from downtown but not right in it so it was very quiet, AC that took a little getting used to, as in San Francisco we don't really need it, but we were very glad to have it during the Oregon summer. Katy was very apologetic about the pool water's quality due to the ash from the local fires, assuring us it was safe, which we appreciated. They're very conscientious hosts and the property is equally cared for, as well. Besides lining up the plays we want to see, finding a reasonable, convenient place to stay is an important element in the Ashland experience. We would definitely return to the Carter House again--we loved the freedom of being able to eat in, especially breakfast and lunch, have our own cold drinks available from the fridge, and being able to bring our leftovers back from the restaurants to have the next day for lunch. It was overall a much more personal experience than staying in a hotel would have been. Katy said some folks return to her place reguarly (she has other rooms available on the property, as well,) which made us consider making a yearly pilgrimage to The Carter House, as well.

  • Charming carriage house in a terrific location. Bed was comfortable, towels fluffy, and everything was spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Cute little space with everything you need! It was so easy to walk downtown, and the backyard is very peaceful.

    Kathryn2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful experience at Carter House. Katy and Jesse were warm, inviting, and their cottage feels very private and cozy. Extremely comfortable and so close to all that Ashland has to offer, I will return next time I'm in the area!

Lhasa House at Chakra Garden of Ashland is a small private studio cottage near the corner of a spacious vintage property, less than 1/2 mile north of Ashland's Downtown Plaza. Expect simple Tibet-inspired décor, comfy beds, interior cleanliness, bamboo floors, filtered drinking water, HVAC, a small kitchenette, & an elegantly tiled bathroom. Enjoy private gated street-wise entry, plus back door access to our unique and restful gardens - available for your enjoyment, play & meaningful reflection.
Lhasa House at Chakra Garden is a charming, modern studio cottage with a zen-like atmosphere, unique privacy and its own street entrance. There's a pillow-top queen sized bed that is recommended as "very comfortable." The large and enclosed property is only 0.5 mile north of Ashland's downtown Plaza, gateway to most Ashland landmarks (Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, unique shopping, and sophisticated cuisine). There's a variety of ways to walk into town, so there's lots to explore even on that journey. Lhasa House is located on the grounds of a vintage home built in 1884. This 400 sq ft building was built in the mid-30s and was used as a working (auto mechanic) garage. It was a burned-out shell with a falling down wall, with no electricity or water, when we purchased the property in 2010. We designed the cottage interior with the intention of using it as an office to see therapy clients, but instead decided to invite weary travelers to enjoy the comforts of our garden and the great proximity to downtown Ashland. The nearly 0.4 acre lot has allowed us to create a garden environment that serves as a healing sanctuary and pleasure space. We call it Chakra Garden of Ashland. You'll find a deck with bar-b-que, many shady and sunny places to sit (often with a table). There's a firepit, a ping pong table (under cover in our pavilion), a shady hammock, and a lawn area for yoga/martial arts, plus a hot tub for your relaxation (small fee). Our gardens are intended as a therapeutic sanctuary, themed around the body's energy centers (Yoga), the Chakras. We, Dr. Zeb Lancaster & Candace Cave, are yogic body-mind healers in private practice in Ashland and online. Inside Lhasa House you'll discover bamboo floors in the spacious main room, an entry lobby that doubles as a dressing room with coat & shoe caddies, an elegant bathroom with tiled shower, and a cozy kitchenette (microwave, toaster oven, mini-fridge/freezer, electric kettle). The kitchenette was remodeled in January 2017 to make it more usably efficient. The mini-split HVAC keeps the space at a comfortable temperature throughout the year. There is Wi-Fi for your connection convenience and no television to distract you from a quiet life lived in the present moment. Lhasa House sleeps as many as 4 people, albeit cozy quarters: two upon a comfy Englander Pillowtop queen bed and two upon Ikea’s queen size convertible sofabed (made more comfortable with a sheepskin pad). The quarters may be a little close with 4 full sized adults, but the cottage interior is larger than most motel rooms and there are many more amenities. Sheets are 300+ thread count organic or Egyptian cotton. Towels are thick and plentiful (3 per person). Pillows are a plentiful mix with both down and quality foam available. Lhasa House’s soothing interior is supported by personally gathered artifacts and breathtaking photos from Lhasa, Tibet. Lhasa House has ample, safe street parking right in front of the door. Please be aware that we love dogs, but cannot accept your canine companion, or any other pets, as a guest. Lhasa House at Chakra Garden is located 0.5 mile north of Ashland’s Downtown Plaza. Just a few more steps takes you to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Bricks and Lithia Park. Walk directly south down N. Main Street and arrive at the Plaza in 10-12 minutes; or, stroll amongst the houses, through the Historic Skidmore Academy District and arrive at the Plaza in 12-15 minutes. Your enjoyment of Ashland's main attractions won't require a vehicle. If you're coming to Ashland for a class, we're 3-blocks up the street from the Kagyu Sukha Choling Center for the Practice of Tibetan Buddhism, 4-blocks from Ashland Institute of Massage Therapy (AIM), and 5-blocks from the United Bicycle Institute. The Dance Space is 0.5 miles south along Hersey, and we're 1.5 miles north of the University (SOU). Chakra Garden of Ashland is almost across the street from a south-bound Ashland/Medford bus stop and a block north of Ashland’s Youth Hostel. Ashland’s Natural Food Coop is a beautiful 6-block walk. There are restaurants located only 1 block north, and a Minute Market 1 block south. You’ll find everything else you need for entertainment and shopping beginning less than half mile south of Chakra Garden, around Ashland's Downtown Plaza. Lhasa House is on the grounds of Chakra Garden, a vintage Ashland property in the historic Skidmore Academy District. The house has a name, "Payne-Penter," describing the first owner and then the owner who added the main house upstairs and front porch, plus the carriage house cottage we call "Temple House." We're 4-blocks north of Ashland's Downtown Plaza, the heart of our village activity. There's an ally (Lori Lane) at the base of the grounds (near Lhasa House front door) that connects Hersey St to Van Ness. Van Ness is a quiet neighborhood street with charming houses, mostly built in the early 1900s, that leads to the A Street corridor and the Bear Creek bike trail. It's a great location, very central to the "heart" of Ashland's village community - the Plaza & Lithia Park (+OSF).
  • I really enjoyed my time in Ashland and at the Lhasa House. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Very comfortable and clean, and close to town making it easy and convenient. The gardens were especially lovely this time of year (early July) and my daughter loved walking through it several times.

  • Comfortable cottages in a beautiful garden setting! Perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Close to all yet very quiet. Bikes were a bonus! Great communication from hosts too. I would recommend to anyone!

  • We stayed at Lhasa House for three nights, and had a lovely time. The cottage was clean and well-appointed, and both the queen bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Hundreds (thousands?!?) of beautiful flowers grace the walkway in front of the cottage. We found the spot to be ideally situated, as it was only a 12-15 minute walk downtown and to the theaters. The neighborhood felt safe, and we walked home each night ~11 pm from plays with no issues. It's a great spot, and we'd return!

    Allie2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a beautiful 5-night stay in the serenely private and comfortable Lhasa House, during an OSF and SOPride vacation. We enjoyed the studio so much that we happily spent an "evening in" one night when we were both tired. The location is wonderfully convenient, whether you're there for a short theater-focused visit or a longer stay. Everything you need is provided in high quality, from toiletries and a hairdryer to kitchen towels, dish soap, and tableware for 4. If you take your technology with you, you'll rejoice to find grounded outlets intelligently placed throughout the space (even one in the generous entryway). We appreciated the shoe and coat rack behind the door, since we're already in the habit of removing our shoes when we come inside. As you'll note in the photos, don't expect a table and chairs for meals, or a stove for cooking. We found the futon chair and the sling-back swivel chair to be just fine, and the two stools doubled well as side tables. We used the small table built into the wall for some computing and also as a handy place for keys, jewelry roll, etc. We never got the toaster-oven out of the cupboard, since all we needed was the hot-water pot and the microwave. There is generous cupboard space in the kitchenette, but no pull-out drawers; utensils are in a tray in the cupboard to the right of the sink. A clever Ikea hanging dish drainer is easy to assemble for use. We asked permission ahead of time to move the futon bed so that the head was against a wall, which placed it conveniently between two outlets, and moved the floor lamp next to it for bed-time reading. The futon was in bed position when we arrived, and we never did put it up as a sofa. We sleep on a futon at home, and found the bed to be *perfect* with the cushy sheepskin pad. We slept very well here. If you require solid darkness to sleep you may wish there were curtains instead of blinds on the windows, but we were fine. In daylight, the well-chosen golden-tan color on the walls and the honey-toned bamboo flooring just make the room glow softly. The space is graceful and elegant--spare, yet comfortable. They did a very thoughtful job on the remodel of this studio. The photography and wall hangings are interesting and beautiful. We never met our hosts, but privacy is one of the things that make Lhasa House such a jewel. They were always responsive by airbnb, text, and one phone call I made to the main house as we were preparing to leave. They cheerfully accommodated our request for extra towels for our longer stay (my partner likes a clean towel each day) for a reasonable $10 laundry fee. We had a fantastic stay in Ashland, and staying in Lhasa House was a big part of that. Thank you, Candace and Zeb!

  • Our time at Lhasa House was wonderful! We had all the comforts of home! In fact, we called Lhasa House our temporary home initially for 9 days. When our housing fell through late on a Friday afternoon, Candice worked with us to book the house for 2 additional days. The location was convenient, we were able to walk to nearby stores, and resturants. Kudos to our hosts, for such a warm, welcoming environment!! If you are ever in the Ashland area, I highly suggest staying in any of Zeb and Candice's places! I can't give enough positive feedback about this peaceful place to stay! My only regret, is that we didn't make time to enjoy their lovely garden, or take advantage of their yoga classes!!

  • We stayed in Lhasa House in mid-September. The check in experience went smoothly. They actually left the door unlocked so check in just consisted of walking on in. Never interacted with owner or the owner's agent during our stay. Never interacted with the other guests, either. The location within Ashland was excellent. Within walking distance of downtown. The place is a compound, consisting of several detached cottages, all of which front on a large garden. Unfortunately, when we stayed the weather was largely rainy, and the garden had peaked, and (except for rare moments when the sun broke through) not all that attractive. But the garden is probably a very nice amenity in the spring/summer. The cottage we stayed in is small, but private. Single main room with reasonably comfortable bed. No tv. Adequate wifi. Had a large, very adequate, bathroom and shower, and a good sized entry area for storing empty luggage, coats, shoes, etc. The description claims it has a kitchenette. It does. But it is very small and very cramped. It has a cabinet and small storage area, the smallest microwave I have ever seen, and a fridge that is smaller than the half size fridge my daughter has in her college dorm room. It's sized perfectly for storing last night's leftovers, and a six pack of soda, but that's about it. We had brought the fixings for at least one in room dinner, but since there is no stovetop or oven, could not make dinner. We are consistently able to park on the street right outside our cottage, which was quite convenient. I would highly recommend this place during the spring/summer, especially for a shorter stay.

We look east into the Bear Creek Valley. Your hosts, Carol & Jim, have gardened the Hat Ranch for over 30 years, creating a Pollinator Food Forest complete with honey bees! Just beyond the first ridge is Ashland, 15 minutes away.
Located in the foothills above Talent, the Hat Ranch offers beautiful views, seasonal harvests, and quick access to the Bear Creek Valley. We are 15 minutes from downtown Ashland and Shakespeare Theaters, 5 minutes from Talent, and 20 minutes from the middle of Medford. Our spacious porch, outfitted with numerous chairs, invites you to enjoy the distant view, daily visits from neighborhood deer and a host of birds, flitting through the garden. The garden is best described as a Pollinator Food Forest. The notion of Food Forest Design was introduced to me through readings and discussions with friends regarding Permaculture. The concept recognizes the importance of integrating relationships between trees, shrubs and ground covers in the layout of your plantings. To this we add honey bees and a pinch of black tail deer, and "voila"::::>you have a Pollinator Food Forest. Flowering trees are a must: apples, pears, plums. Shrubs and vines take up the middle: grapes, black berries, flowering hedges to name a few. And finally, both last & first, are the ground covers: clovers, mints, and all the crazy grasses. This mix of plants: trees, shrubs, vines, & ground covers; provides nourishment and protection for honey bees, deer, and the likes of you and me.
It is quiet. Most days you cannot hear the freeway. There is a ridge between the Hat Ranch and the Interstate (Yes!). Homes in the neighborhood tend to occupy 5 acres. Wildlife is abundant.
  • At 10pm, the night before I was due to arrive for a 4 night stay, I got an email from Host Carol asking what time I would be arriving. I had been asleep as I'd been on the road for 10 hours and was exhausted. I had some difficulty responding to Carol because her message was sent via airbnb and I was trying to reply through (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). I was eventually able to communicate that I would probably arrive around the 2pm check-in time. As I was trying to get back to sleep I got a second email asking where specifically I'd be driving from which I didn't consider `to be any of her business. When I again had trouble responding to her on line I decided to just call her. When we talked I explained that I couldn't provide an arrival time because I didn't know when that would be. She droned on that she needed to know so she could plan her day. I repeated that I would not arrive before the designated check-in time When she continued to press for something more definitive I tried to explain that I wasn't on a schedule and had no firm schedule or travel plans but she kept talking over me as opposed to listening. By that point she was telling me that I would need to check in with status reports the next day. When I tried to interrupt, Carol basically told me to shut up and listen. That was the final straw so I hung up and proceeded to cancel all but the first night as it was too late to do that without penalties. The more I thought about it the more convinced I became that spending even one night in her house wouldn't be a pleasant experience. I sent her a text message advising that I would be worth forfeiting my payment not to stay in her home. Carol replied that I'd made a good decision. I made alternate arrangements for lodging and Carol pocketed my 52.00. Our contract specified the 2 pm check-in time and I was planning on respecting that. I didn't feel obligated to share my travel plans especially in response to a late night flurry of messages demanding that I do so. If, as a host, Carol expected more detailed arrival information she should have included it in her posting on airbnb. I'm 67 years old and suffer from a sleep disorder. After I hung up on Carol it took me several hours to get back to sleep. Until this late night imposition I was looking forward to me four night stay. I believe I was justified in canceling out but I don't believe I should have been ripped off for one night's lodging.

It was amazing being up in the green hills of Talent and it was a very short and beautiful drive to Ashland. The cats were nice and loved to be pet. Will definitely be staying again.

  • We enjoyed staying 3 days at the Hat Ranch. Room was as advertised. In addition there were two big bonus features for me. #1 - Very affectionate cats in the main part of the house - not allowed into the guest room in case some guests are allergic. #2 - I bought a great new hat. Morning tea on the porch was advertised and it was also great.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I'm glad it went so well! Carol was interesting to talk with & shared some helpful info about the area. I found the house/grounds to be wonderfully eclectic & lived in; the accommodations were welcoming, clean, and comfortable.

  • Such a pleasure to be out in the country, lovely garden. Relaxing, quiet and fun decoration inside and out. The bedroom was spacious and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The large closet was a plus. Carol was an excellent, accommodating host and I enjoyed having coffee with her. It was an easy drive to Ashland.

Wonderful location and views, especially for fall foliage! See special rates for available dates in October and November!
Lovely suite in a secluded and very quiet neighborhood. This get-away includes a living space with queen bed, a private bedroom with queen bed, a private bathroom with large tub/shower and a kitchenette with table and chairs. The small kitchenette is meant for take-out and very simple meals, vacation style! It includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and tea/coffee making supplies with fresh water. Plates, silverware, glasses, mugs and wine glasses are provided. There is no sink in this area, but there are two sinks in the bathroom. The suite is part of a private home and has a separate entrance with a patio and outside seating. The property is surrounded by privacy with many mature trees and open spaces with a real country feel. While the location feels like country living, this suite is right in the south end of town near SOU and the bike path with shopping, groceries, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Downtown and the Shakespeare festival are a 5 minute drive or 15 minutes by bike.
  • Lisa is a gracious welcoming host. Friendly and delightful to talk with. Staying at Lisa's is perfection on many levels. She was very knowledgeable about Ashland and was happy to talk with us. Being with Lisa was very much like being with a dear friend.

  • Lisa was a very thoughtful and helpful host. The accommodations were as described, like in the picture the kitchen only has microwave. A bedroom and bath and kitchenette in the lower floor of her home, with a private entrance. Lisa also gave us some nice tips on places to eat, and they were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • Lisa was responsive in our communications. Check-in was a snap. The place was immaculate and well appointed. The location is great, too, super close to SOU and just a few minutes' drive from downtown Ashland, but away from the neighborhoods and streets, so it was nice and quiet. I was in town to visit my daughter at college, and I'll definitely book Lisa's place again during future visits!

  • Lisa, continues to be a wonderful host for us when we're in Ashland/Medford working. Lisa's space, thoughtful hospitality and timely communication are highlights of our visits.

  • What an incredible place, beautiful and cool (which was really important on those 100 degree days!) The location, near town, but in the quiet countryside was perfect for relaxing and taking time for a leisurely vacation. We are so happy that we chose the Eco-Friendly Ashland Retreat for our home base during our trip to experience the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Much thanks to Lisa and Sagan.

  • Wonderful location! Clean, quiet and cozy. Lisa was very accommodating and such a lovely host. We will definitely be looking forward to staying here again for future trips to this cute town of Ashland.

    Stefanie2015-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • My friends had a lovely time in Ashland! Lisa has set up an inviting, well appointed "apartment" in her home. We had everything we needed, including coffee, tea, and plenty of blankets and towels. The house is located near town in a pastoral setting with lots of cute animal neighbors.

    Lindsey2014-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa was friendly and informative. The room was pretty much as described. I didn't realize it was located in the basement level of a split level house, making the backyard (and the nearby chickens) eye level. It also meant the room was cool without air conditioning. I had a comfortable stay, and although family noise occasionally found its way below, it was not particularly a nuisance. I recommend it.

Everyone falls in love with our 1952 International Metro Gypsy Wagon. It's cozy, delightful and colorful. This converted school bus fits two, with a shared kitchen in main house and a NEW, free-standing shared guest bathroom with a composting toilet. Close to I-5 (exit 14), 3 miles from downtown Ashland, and minutes from the closest hiking trails. Come feel at home!
People love the novelty of sleeping in a bus and you don't find many like this one. Before our fence was up, people would frequently stop in to ask about buying it. If you want a different experience and a fun story to share, this is it. I look at it as an art installation and was my first trailer love. She's been in the family for 30+ years and my mother-in-law originally traded a bongo drum and some cash for her. The queen bed takes up most of the space, there's bamboo floors, colorful walls, some nautical elements (I'm a beach girl), and antique scores. It's not perfect, but, like most art, a work in progress. Oh, and if you like cats, she usually meows at the door for a snuggle.
Our property is located right next to the I-5 in a semi-industrial area, but it's walled and fenced in so the swish of vehicles can be heard. We like to think of it as the ocean waves ;). We have shipping containers, vintage trailers (currently being refurbished), & other outbuildings. People like to reference our property for alternative housing options or for setting up a sanctuary compound. What is nice is that it's far enough from town, easy access to and from freeway, close to grocery stores, and minutes from the woods. Our lives are colorful and fun.
  • The metro bus was awesome. Molly and her family were very welcoming. We only wish that we'd had more time to spend there. Thanks!!

    Brad2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The bus was even more adorable than the pictures! Molly was great with communication. Enjoyed my stay :)

    Danielle2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the bus at Molly's place. It was just as the photos showed- quite charming and comfortable! The outhouse was very well maintained. We were able to bring out dog, who probably had too much fun chasing the chickens. We'd be happy to stay again and highly recommend!

    Megan2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Molly was so warm and welcoming. This was a once in a lifetime kind of a place. The bus was very charming and comfortable. Everything about this place is a work of art, and we appreciated all of it. Ashland is super gorgeous as well. Molly's place is just a few minute drive to the main area of Ashland. We went to a lot of neat shops, bars, and restaurants during out stay. 10/10 recommend, would stay again.

    Kailee2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the retro bus and the good energy of Molly. Very unique and creative.

    Brian2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This bus is so charming and cozy. Molly is rad and very easy to stay in contact with. She is definitely a super host. I love that Molly has fit a vanity with chair and an additional comfy sitting chair to the adorably small space. There was more storage than I assumed there would be. I daydreamed about living in the Metro forever. I love the little details, like the antique water pitcher and the pretty drinking glass, old type writer and custom coat hanger on the porch are super cool, and the lantern with the string lights inside is lovely. The bed was comfortable. I kept the windows open and fell asleep listening to the cars go by on the freeway, thought of the noise as ocean waves like Molly mentions in her description. I totally recommend this Airbnb! The shared spaces are awesome, there are hammocks, a giant trampoline, and a fantastic bathhouse. The dogs, Rosie, Petunia, and the cat (name?) are wonderful bonus friends.

    Jennifer2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Extra cute. Great location. It was a fun experience during our travels. We would stay there again.

  • Molly welcomed us very warmly on arrival. The van was comfy and very stylish. Very cozy and enjoyable stay. We totally recommend it.

Our sunset facing tipi is located on our organic farm with an outdoor kitchen, indoor bathroom and plenty of privacy. Ten minutes away from the Shakespeare Fest & many area wineries within a couple minutes drive. RV parking available. **For groups bigger than 4 please see if the Lookout Loft or Safari Belle is available and submit an inquiry.**
Spring is here! The lotus is located in the Pacific Northwest. If you choose to reserve during fall, winter and spring you have a good chance of being embraced by rain, snow and cold (sometimes below freezing) temperatures. There is a small space heater in the lotus, but you will essentially be sleeping outside, on a comfy feather bed with a down comforter and some shelter from the elements. Adventurous spirits are welcome during all seasons. The summer is great for the tipi, but can be too hot for some during the day. It cools off well at night, just be aware that this is prime time for insects to also visit the tipi. We do our best to control their presence, but can't guarantee they won't be seeking refuge inside the space as well. Set on an organic farm you get to view beautiful sunsets in the evening and great exploration possibilities are available on the property! Since we are located on an organic farm, we do not use pesticides. You will most likely have insects visiting you in the lotus. There are mosquito screens, zippered doors and a waterproof floor, but insects can still find ways to creep in ;) This isn't a problem for most guests, but keep it in mind when booking as we don't refund for insect issues or undesirable weather conditions during your stay.
Our farm is located in a rural setting on the eastern edge of Phoenix, OR. Freeway access is a short 5 minutes away. We are about a 15 minute drive from most Rogue Valley attractions like the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Britt Festivals in Jacksonville and Rogue Creamery in Central Point. There is a bike path that runs from Ashland to Gold Hill about 10 minutes from our home. We have the best of both worlds here, quiet country living and easy access to "city life."
  • This is a great, large tent! The property is a little rough around the edges, but I thought it was charming! Lots of places to walk around, and an interesting house. The tent was clean and the hosts were very welcoming and checked in with us throughout our visit to make sure everything was good. I would like to visit again!

    Nate2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing! Andrew was so nice and welcoming! The tent is adorable and so cozy! Plenty of warmth even in cold weather. A French press, hot water heater and mugs are available if you want coffee or tea! All around a great experience! A place I would recommend to everyone!

  • Looking for gorgeous views on a relaxing family friendly farm. This could be the place for you. My only warning is that you may need to be slightly more adventurous than me to brave the tipee filled with harmless bugs (earwigs and house spiders).

    Corey2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew and Amy were both fantastic hosts. They were very welcoming and kind. They made my friend and I feel totally at home. They were happy to let us do 2 loads of laundry, offered us fruit from their farm, and gave us the artist loft for the same price as the tipi. I highly recommend this place and encourage anyone in the area to come stay with them. Thanks again!

    Pat2015-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This surprising place felt like home by our last night. Just let Andrew know what you need and he'll provide. We were plenty warm enough at night in early October with light pajamas, and this was a great spot to feel like we were camping yet also have everything we needed to get gussied up for a friend's wedding. We hope to return someday and so will you!

  • The Tipi Belle yurt was perfect for my family. It was like glamping and we loved it. The yurt glows beautifully at night. We were treated to a tour of the farm by their sweet kids and I also filled my belly with blackberries. We would love to come back next time we are passing through.

This home sits on half an acre with horses across the street and chickens in the yard. The room has a Queen bed, dresser, night stand, alarm clock, and sitting chairs. Breakfast available by request. The bathroom is shared with the host and other guests when present.
  • The place was exactly as described. A cozy place in a rural location, but close to downtown Ashland and the SOU campus. Well stocked house and very clean. A great deal!

  • Joe and Marianne were wonderful hosts -- sweet, open, friendly, easy-going, and very accommodating. The room was as pictured with plenty of space to put things and a comfortable bed. The setting is pleasantly rural, yet close to downtown.

    Frances2015-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice renovated artful interior with a rustic exterior. I love the setting and Joe is a great host. I would stay again when I'm passing through California through Washington.

  • Joe was really flexible and helpful with our check in and parking situation in Asheville. We loved the set up and decor in his place, and the pups were friendly. We would be happy to return!

  • Beautiful home & friendly gracious host. Very good price & close to town. Only problem if you're a light sleeper you will need earplugs. It is very close to main road!

    Rena2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is our third time with Joe and Marianne. We felt right at home. They greeted us with lemonade and had the air conditioner and ceiling fan on before we came because it was in the 90's outside! Again they had our favorite coffee and decaf (Marianne calls it the "why bother?) ready in the morning with GF bread and yogurt-- perfect! A most delightful stay. We will keep staying there!

    Susan2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable bed. Clean fresh country air. Very close to downtown Ashland. Joe and Marianne were welcoming and informative about Ashland. Plus, Joe made the best fresh egg breakfast (thank you chickens in the backyard!). If traveling through Ashland, let Joe be your host.

You will wake in the trees, to the soft green prospects of the forested Siskiyou mountains to the west. You'll discover enchanting views at every window, from city streets to a quiet English garden and pond. You are a few steps from Ashland Plaza.
Ashland Plaza, world famous Lithia Park, international and gourmet restaurants, coffee houses; health food stores, fitness gyms, unique shops and Shakespeare theaters are a short stroll from the Carriage House (within 2 or 3 blocks!). You may also enjoy the quiet of the private gardens and a fully appointed kitchen (supplied with seasonal fruit; fresh, home-made granola; tea, coffee, and necessary condiments); laundry facilities; air conditioning; bathroom radiant heating (hair dryer, of course), and a romantic gas heating fireplace for winter visits. There is one bathroom (with a shower, not a tub). The Carriage House will sleep four people. Two in the private bedroom (queen-sized bed) on the main floor and two on the comfortable full-sized futon in the loft, accessed by a Japanese Kaidan Tansu (traditional staircase cabinet). The loft is not advisable for senior citizens or children under ten years old. We happily welcome children ten or over in the Carriage House. Approved by City of Ashland Community Development # 13-1826; Planning Action # '(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
We live in the beautiful, quiet Ashland Historic District. The neighborhood is within walking distance to just about every place in town, with western prospects of the Siskiyou forest and of the Tuscany-like fields to the east. After taking the ten steps up and entering into the Carriage House, guests feel the peace of life among the trees, able to watch the many different species of bird fly, often at eye-level--and the Siskiyou white-tail deer foraging below.
  • The Carriage house was absolutely perfect for our short three-night stay (and would have been great for much longer!) It is cozy, comfortable, and the location is ideal. Margaret could not have been a more gracious host. We only wish we had been able to stay longer, to get to know her better, meet her husband (who was out of town) and to enjoy the wonderful space for a few more days. Homemade granola, milk in the fridge, extra blankets in the closet, a/c and heat, great wi-fi (which we barely used), super comfy bed.... all within a 5 minute walk of Lithia Park, the theaters, and downtown Ashland. It was really a dream. We can't wait to come back.

    Dana and Sky2014-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret is an amazing person. Besides the place being immaculate, beautifully decorated and amazingly homey Margaret is so warm and welcoming you'd think you were coming to visit your favorite aunt rather than an Airbnb host. This is the third time I've stayed here and I feel like its a true home away from home. My girlfriend, my brother and I came up to host a memorial for our father who past away a few weeks ago. Knowing we were coming here put us at ease and felt like a real comfort. Margaret made home made cookies and granola for our arrival. We had to do a lot of the planning after we arrived and every thing went smoothly. We love the location because the Carriage house is so central to everything. We are looking forward to coming back again soon for a more light hearted trip.

    Michael2015-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret met us at the gate to her sweet home and Carriage House. We were already impressed by the photos, but honestly, they can't compare with the real thing. The Carriage House is lovely and nestled in a beautiful, well-kept garden. Margaret made the place welcoming with home-baked cookies, little candies by the beds, and capped water and glasses on each night stand. With just a 5 minute walk, we were at the theater, restaurants, and shops. I could go on and on. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

    Terri2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the Victorian Carriage House when we visited Ashland. Margaret was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming, and we felt like we had known her for years. The place was perfect! It is the nicest and most unique place we have ever stayed in all of our travels. It was beautifully designed and appointed with the highest quality materials and furnishings. It was bright and cheery and had amazing views of the mountain behind the house. Margaret has thought of every detail. The place was well equipped with anything you would need, and it was immaculate. Margaret even provides guests with fresh homemade granola as well as oatmeal, milk and coffee. And Margaret's garden is unusually beautiful and made us feel so "zen." You could even take your breakfast or coffee out to the garden among the 6 foot sunflowers beside the pond. What a way to start the day! We loved staying at Margaret's carriage house and will stay here every time we come back to Ashland.

    Diane2014-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We felt completely welcomed and at home the moment we arrived. The carriage house is every bit as beautiful as the photos depict. We absolutely loved it.

    Terri2014-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • You can die and go to heaven, or just visit this lovely Airbnb! LOL What an absolutely beautiful place and excellent hosts. Margaret was in touch with clear instructions and welcomed us all personally. We came simply needing lodgings for three, but realized this would also be a wonderful place to find rest and relaxation. Where to start: beautiful views, peaceful location convenient to downtown Ashland, thoughtful touches like homemade cookies and granola, heated floor in the bathroom, fully appointed kitchen, VERY comfortable beds, spot on recommendations for restaurants, yoga mats, slippers, lovely garden...I just can't say enough. Luckily we forgot something, so as my grandma says, that means we're coming back...

    Kitty2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our recent stay at the Victorian Carriage House was really just perfect. The location was amazing - just a few minutes' walk down a quiet street to the theaters and the town center. The space is amazing - compact but gracious, with everything you need for a relaxed retreat. The gardens surrounding the house are charming, the view down to town is beautiful, and Margaret was excellent as a host. She welcomed us, gave us a quick tour and explained how things worked in the house, and recommended restaurants, one of which we had a delicious meal at. I really can't recommend the Carriage House highly enough, and can't wait to come back myself.

Located in the historic Railroad District our cottage is walking distance from Shakespeare theater and all the trimmings of downtown. Walk to an award winning coffee shop down the alley and two grocery stores and park. Set between the cottage and our house are beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. There is a great deck for morning coffee and secure bike storage available. Miles of mountain hiking trails are close by. This will be your new spot!
We have a sauna in this studio!!! This is a loft style studio with steep stairs to the upstairs bedroom. It makes for a cool space but can be limiting. People with disabilities should consider sleeping downstairs.
This is the absolute best neighborhood in Ashland. If you have not been here then please ask around. The railroad distance is quiet, cute, and most every house is its own Ashland piece of art.
  • Great location, on a quiet street, a quick and scenic walk to and from the three Shakespeare festival theatres and the entire downtown, including the restaurants, shops, and Lithia Park. House is well-equipped and very comfortable, with a nice deck and garden, and very friendly neighborhood deer. Very responsive and super EZ check-in/out.

  • This cottage is darling and the location is perfect. There is a grocery store a couple blocks away, an easy walk to several amazing coffee shops as well all the fun of downtown and the park. It made a great place for us 2 adults and 1 small child:) Cant wait to come back in the winter to enjoy the sauna.

  • Susan's place is very cute and highly functional. It has every amenity and more (a sauna) and is a short walk from downtown and Susan's (and ours now) favourite coffee shop - Noble. A bonus, Susan's lovely private garden for you to enjoy. If you stay here - you'll be happy you did!

    Amy2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful and lovely spot. I went to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival and the cottage was perfect. It's about a .5 mile walk to the festival, but you pass all the fun downtown shops on the way so it feels even shorter! I hardly used my vehicle for anything - I just walked everywhere! The cottage was quiet and stocked with blankets and towels. There was even a bowl of chocolates awaiting my arrival! My parents came up from CA the second night I stayed there, and the cottage fit us three adults quite comfortably! Both beds were very comfortable and the shower had decent water pressure. It does get a tad warm downstairs, but the fan and AC upstairs works wonders. Also, the garden is so beautiful but beware of spiders! (I am quite afraid of those 8 legged guys!) I would definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely come back in the future!

  • My husband and I loved our experience in Ashland, and loved our stay in this cozy apartment. Our hosts were great about communicating with us before our arrival, and Diane was there to meet us when we arrived. She gave us a tour of the apartment, recommended some good restaurants, and even loaned us a blanket for our play Friday night at the Elizabethan Theater. That blanket was a life-saver since it was cold and a little drizzly for our play! The location of this apartment is ideal if you want to park your car and not move it again until you leave Ashland. It is a very easy walk into the heart of downtown Ashland and the Shakespearean Festival. We would highly recommend this lovely little apartment for a stay in Ashland!

  • I stayed here with my daughter and our senior dog. It was so perfect. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt right at home. The apartment is cute and we loved all the fun little touches. The location is ideal. We could walk right downtown in just a couple of minutes. The bed was quite comfortable, too. I would absolutely recommend you stay here.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful get away here. The apartment was actually cozier than described. We enjoyed cooking breakfast in (and especially appreciated the gifts from our host's garden!) and loved walking to the plays and the park. Highly recommend!

    Beth2015-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised this is a great location for visiting Ashland. It's a five minute walk away from most of the theaters and lots of good restaurants. The apartment has extremely low ceilings (we're pretty tall) and a slightly worn feeling about it. The bed was super comfortable. We appreciated the good coffee and samples of the lovely organic spirits made by our hosts.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Diane & David's place. The listing was very accurate - it's a cozy, ground-level apartment. Diane & David were very welcoming and helpful, even making additional space in the off-street parking because we had two cars to park (us, plus one of our parents). The only thing I would flag for people looking to stay here is that it can be confusing finding the house when you first get there, because the address and front of the house is on Lithia Way, but you need to turn down a side street to access the parking. David came out and helped us when we arrived, and all was fine. I would definitely recommend their place to any couple or group of 3 looking for a nice place to stay within a 5 minute walk of downtown Ashland.

    Melanie2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this experience was exeptional! Diane and David are the most congenial folks and did everything possible to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. This cute little apt has EVERYTHING you need. I cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner and wasn't missing a single item (If I had, Diane and David are the type of people that would provide it). The location is extraordinary - literally steps from downtown!

    Sharon2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and David were wonderful hosts! Everything from our initial communications (prompt, informative, warm & friendly) to the coziness of the space to the ease of 'checking in'...everything made us feel total welcome and assured we were going to have a great stay. Directions and instructions were very clear and Diane made herself available via text in case we had questions, arrived late, etc. Our in-person greeting was on our timeline and really friendly! They are just a lovely couple - lots of fun to talk with. That said, they offered the perfect balance of "come share a glass of wine" and "enjoy your privacy".

    Jodi2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • A great Airbnb experience usually pairs great hosts with terrific accommodations- this has been one of them. This was our second stay in as many years. Diane, David and Mckenzie are very easy to take and a pleasure to deal with. Our communications were smooth and speedy and the listing information is very accurate. We travel with dogs (two large but calm, well behaved Goldens) and this was the perfect home away from home in Ashland for us. Our principal reason for traveling to Ashland is theater (OSF) and this flat is perfectly located for that being a 10 minute walk away. We usually see 4 or 5 plays and when we have two in 1 day bring a dog sitter/walker in to mind the boys. While the flat is in downtown Ashland it doesn't have that in town feel. It's quiet and peaceful and well located for a walk or short ride to there best restaurants in the area. We were even able to take a fairly comfortable day trip with the dogs to the gorgeous Crated Lake National Park for lunch and a nice hike along the rim. The apartment is railroad style and extremely comfortable. It reached 95 degrees F a few of the days we were there but the flat with its thick walls and small windows remained comfortably cool both day and night. Diane is very well organized and the flat is equipped with everything you need and those few items we all tend to forget when were pack. The kitchen is separate from the bedroom and living room (which we appreciate) and well set up for the meal you might want to prepare for yourself. Our only caution is the ceiling height. If you're over 6 feet tall you'll have to be careful. All in all a wonderful Airbnb experience!

Located between downtown Ashland & Jackson Wellsprings (mineral springs); minutes to both. In the traditional style of AirBnb, a private room with a queen air mattress is offered up. The house is shared with 3 other very sweet people. You have access to the hot tub, large deck, washer/dryer, and dishwasher.
Kitchen has coffee-maker, microwave, fridge, tea kettle, tea, and cookware.
Miles of county land are located behind the property for a private picnic, sunbathing, or an afternoon delight! Enjoy a walk up the road and sight-see the local turkeys, peacocks, llamas, deer, and of course, mountains. At night you can hear the coyotes & peacocks!
  • Great place to stay. All of the housemates are super sweet & very helpful. Shower was hot. I was able to cook up some soup after a rainy day & a nice place to do yoga! East drive to town! Highly recommend :)

  • Mellissa was kind, gracefully accommodating, and made my stay easy. Very comfortable and large family home with a clean, uncluttered, yet lived-in vibe. Felt like home - just what a traveler seeks. Mellissa and her family live in the next door home, which shares the back porch, however, I did not hear them at all while I was there.. the only interaction was when I asked for a jar for some tea to go and she produced one in 30 seconds.

  • Great value and location, beautiful views from the hot tub, great warm inviting classy decor. Melissa was a responsive, helpful and kind host. Close to everything which is great and you get some traffic noise because of that. I noted a few needed minor repairs yet overall a very pleasant experience.

Spacious, separate entrance, share kitchen & bath with one other lodge room. Designed for travelers, 3.8 miles to downtown Ashland, mountain views, a hop onto I-5, to the mountains or town. Well insulated. From a guest: "Surprisingly, it's very quiet being so close to the freeway." Outside is a picnic area with water fountain for your pleasure.
This room is private but shares mini-kitchenette & bathroom with one other room. The two rooms can be rented together if both available. The bathroom is also shared with an external bedroom dweller. You are to enjoy the good energy of the space, enhanced through time by the various lodgers. In the country but right outside the edge of Ashland city limits where the Shakespeare Festival entertains, SOU educates and Artists present. House is new, with strong sound insulation so Highway is surprisingly unobtrusive according to many guests. We do have a fan, white noise machine and earplugs in case of sensitivity. I sometimes sponsor a Music event on Thursday evenings. Many have enjoyed hearing the music through the walls. You may join. Surrounded by mountain views. Our favorite testimonial: “The building appears to have been designed for room rentals (a la airbnb). It's new, clean, fresh, quiet, & comfortable- and spacious to boot! And Sharon is a delightful hostess. My friends stayed in a charming bed & breakfast downtown, and paid a lot more for cramped little rooms that were nowhere near as well appointed. It took me about 7 minutes to drive downtown & park on the street, where I could walk to shops, restaurants, & theaters. I couldn't be happier with the experience!” ~John 4/17/17
With the beauty of the mountains and clouds, country hike starts right outside. You seldom see the distant neighbors. Inside the new home, the highway sounds like the ocean and quiet at night.
  • Sharon emailed me the information about location and access early in the day making my arrival and room access a smooth affair. The room was spacious, clean, and inviting. I really appreciated the natural fiber sheets! Sharon also dropped by the next morning and introduced herself and asked if I needed anything.

    Mimi2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very nice stay - convenient, comfortable, amenable - everything worked out great for us and our trip to Ashland. Sharon was always available when we needed help.

    Seth2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable room simply appointed. Minutes away from the hustle and bustle. I was very pleased with my stay here and ease of check in and out. Nearby overpass provided some noise but did not keep me from a good night's sleep. I would stay again.

    Cathy2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon was welcoming and warm, and the apartment was lovely -- comfortable bed, a nice little kitchen, good water pressure in the shower. I could hear some traffic in the night but only late at night when I couldn't sleep. The neighborhood is beautiful and green, and very close to town.

    Nell2015-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, comfortable, clean, and privacy respected.

    Matt2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We were driving from San Francisco to Portland and Sharon's place was very convenient for us to stay the night. The room was spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is really clean. Sharon was very helpful and kind to us even if we arrived later than we expected. Overall it was a great stay.

    Irem2016-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Sharon was easy and comfortable. She was kind enough to accommodate us same-day on short notice and communication was a breeze and check-in was very flexible. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and easy-to-use, and the WiFi worked great. We had no issues. There is a very private feel to this Airbnb that some people may really appreciate. You are essentially on your own in the annexed back room with private entrance and bathroom (you may share the bathroom if someone else is in the other room), which means you don't really need to interact with anyone if you don't want to. Would recommend staying here.

We have had the pleasure of hosting Maggie's Cottage since 2012. We love living in Ashland and are happy to provide a comfortable space for your visit. We also have lots of recommendations from culinary delights to recreational activities!
Maggie's cottage has a full one bedroom and bathroom with an open concept kitchen and living space. There is a comfortable pull out sofa that is considered a small queen size bed with a wood frame to not have those bars in your back. We also provide a double size air mattress. Lots of bedding and towels provided. Fully furnished with all of your kitchen essentials, light snacks and bath consumables.
Maggie's Cottage is just steps from downtown, a nice 5-10 minute walk. We are nestled in a quiet space tucked behind our main home that sits on the boulevard. We are also a few doors down from a major grocery store and surrounded by lovely coffee shops.
  • We were very happy with our stay in the cottage. Chris and Amy were away, but everything was well-provided and Amy checked in regularly via email. We also had local contacts if needed. Our daughter was very comfortable on the pull-out sofa bed, and we enjoyed having a full kitchen. A good coffee house is only a few blocks away on East Main. We would be glad to stay there again.

  • I was in town for 5 days for a wedding and Maggie's Cottage was perfect. Clean, with a great kitchen and some outdoor space and an easy walk/bike ride from town. I visit Ashland often and will look to book this place again. Great hosts too...

  • Maggie's Cottage was a perfect place to stay for our weekend in Ashland! A brisk 10-15 minute walk to basically anywhere in downtown, we were perfectly situated to get to OSF before and after the shows, as well as to Southern Oregon University for the Author Fair, and of course, all of the restaurants that we could hope for. There is also a Safeway next door for all grocery needs - so it's truly a perfect locale! Amy set us up with a great book of recommendations and she was also available any time to answer questions about the house or the town. I couldn't imagine a thing that would have made this a better stay!

    Jonathan2013-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Maggie's Cottage. It was about a 15 min walk to OSF theaters and just a 5 min walk to the start of all the shops! We truly enjoyed our stay. We never met the owners in person but felt that we had everything we needed. It was a perfect place for 4 friends to relax and enjoy OSF.

  • GREAT place to stay in Ashland. The cottage was lovely, private, clean, and charming. Very convenient location too. Exceeded my highest expectations - cupboards were well stocked with staples, coffee, and there was even a bottle of Pinot Gris in the fridge. Chris was very welcoming and helpful (didn't get the chance to meet Amy). Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

    Claudia2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! Amy met and welcomed us and told us to let her know if we needed anything. We didn't have to because everything we needed was provided. The cottage was so light, roomy and comfortable. The location was close to town and we walked everywhere. Lots of good restaurants and Theater nearby. Chris gave us tips of places to go that were great.

  • We had a delightful time at the Auburn Cottage. Lovely setting, beautiful architecture and welcoming host. Ashland is a great town to visit.

  • A pleasant cottage among trees and greenery. It is (for two people in their 70’s) just a stroll from groceries, downtown restaurants, Lithia Park, and OSF. Stairs reach the cottage door.

  • Our host was most welcoming yet gave us plenty of privacy. The cottage was even nicer than we had expected. It is in a very quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance of theaters and restaurants. We have recommended the cottage to friends and definitely hope to be back during the next theatre season.

  • A lovely cottage, an easy walk to the plays, and a delightful garden area. Would happily return. Worked just fine for the three of us (myself and my husband and our 16-year-old daughter).

    Meg2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our hostess met us and gave a friendly tour. The detached place was very good for 3 adults. It was close enough to walk into town and the theatres. The lovely garden was especially beautiful with a Japanese maple changing color.

This cute and private studio is spacious with a large bathroom, comfy queen bed, flat screen TV/DVD, games, air conditioning, and a kitchenette with all the necessary cookware. It backs up to a large pond and grassy area. If it's booked, check out our bed & breakfast suite, the garden cottage, or the bunkalo (large canvass wall tent with a real bed). Please note that only the B&B suite includes breakfast. Also, there is a $20 pet fee - allowed conditionally.
This small hay farm is nestled near the base of the Siskiyou Mountains in a beautiful country setting yet close in. Two large ponds surrounded by old weeping willows and other mature shade trees provide a tranquil setting for strolling or relaxing in Adirondack chairs with a good book. The farm is walking distance to the quaint village of Talent and easy access from Interstate 5. It's just minutes to downtown Ashland, Medford and Jacksonville. For those traveling with horses, we offer an arena and pasture plus quality grass hay. The studio is completely private and spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette. We also offer a B&B room in the main house for extra pampering, and a one-two bedroom cottage. Although growing hay is our business, the animals are our love. Shady Grove is a sanctuary for rescued animals that have been abused or neglected. While Talent has several good restaurants and coffee shops, a Friday evening outdoor market, a winery, plus its own Camelot Theater hosting top notch plays, the surrounding area offers many adventures including the Shakespeare Festival, the Britt Music Festival, hiking, wine tasting, rafting, skiing, fishing, and easy day trips to several national parks including Crater Lake, the Redwoods and Oregon Caves.
  • This place is amazing. Lin and Lynn live a mile or so outside of very quiet Talent. The grounds are well kept, and the big trees provide plenty of shade. I liked the roomy studio apartment that is attached to the separate garage. It is comfortable, well equiped and very private. Lin and Lynn were gracious hosts. I told them about our plans for wine tasting, and they were quick to recommend a fine spot in the Applegate area. They brought us fresh heirloom tomatoes from their garden as well! I look forward to staying again when my travels bring me to the Ashland area.

  • Once again, a great experience with Lin and Lynn. Easy check-in, beautiful quiet spot just 10 minutes from Ashland, comfortable home.

    Brenda2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Shady Grove Farm was excellent. The grounds were so quiet and serene, and the hosts were extremely welcoming. The room was just as stated, and it was just steps away from two lovely ponds, with ducks and geese. The bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay at Shady Grove Farm the next time we're in southern Oregon.

    Rosemary2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • A truly wonderful, peaceful place to stay! From the moment we arrived, Lin and Lynn made us feel welcome and it was easy to settle in. They were their to welcome us, introduce themselves and give us the lay of the land. They recommended places to eat and visit and then left us to our own devices; a really wonderful combination of being friendly and yet maintaining a host/guest distance, if that's the right way of putting it :) Their farm is very easy to find and in a wonderful spot. Surrounded by an orchard with a lovely pond you can walk around and plenty of open space, we were encouraged to use the property, which was a lovely feeling. There are plenty of grassy areas to play for those of us with children, and we took advantage of them, playing in the late evening sun. It wasn't difficult to switch off! We stayed in the studio cottage (the little yellow building just cut off on the right of their main pic here on the site) Plenty of room for the two of us, it was so comfortable and 'homey' with just the right kind of amenities. Everything was spotless, and we immediately felt like we weren't random guests stopping for a night.(URL HIDDEN)introduced us to their lovely rescue horses. Both their dogs (also rescues) are super friendly and we enjoyed a little time with them the following morning. They do have plenty of chickens and they are very friendly but at the moment they aren't laying so there were no eggs to gather for breakfast. However, that was no hardship for us! It was just nice to be there and enjoy our surroundings and watch the chickens roam around. Apparently there were other guests but we didn't see them :) I saw their car but that was it. So even with other guests, you still feel a real sense of privacy. Downtown Talent is about a 10-15 min walk down the lane (a 3-4 min-ish. drive) and has a couple of eateries and a most excellent gelato shop that just recently opened. We had a nice evening, enjoying good pizza, gelato and talking to some local folk. There is a great coffee shop too; seems to be a morning hub for local folk :) We will visit Ashland next time. It's not far at all from Talent: Lynn said about 10 mins. Lin and Lynn really are special individuals; they truly care about their environment, their animals and their guests. We felt blessed to be able to spend some time with them. We will absolutely be back if they'll have us! My son especially loved being there; he spent the rest of the vacation asking when we could go back :) I highly recommend both Lin and Lynn and their lovely farm. This was the first time I used Airbnb and was nothing short of thrilled.

  • I had a fabulous stay at Lin and Lynn's studio! They gave me a warm welcome and were helpful in getting me oriented to the area. The studio is very quiet and cozy and clean. The farm is beautiful and I enjoyed photographing the horses and barn at sunset. I would highly recommend staying here! It's a lovely get-away!

  • I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend stay in the Shady Grove Farm studio. Lin & Lynn were gracious hosts, and everything about the place felt very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this if you are planning to visit southern Oregon and want a bit of a countryside experience! The charming little town of Ashland is only about 10 minutes away, and there are several local wineries in the area as well.

    Sarah2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lin & Lynn are wonderful. The studio is cutely decorated and equipped for comfort. A fine and private place to stay. The property is like a park with tall trees and ponds; a couple of geese and mallards roamed and swam.

    Lynn2015-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little place to stay. We were just passing through and needed an overnight, low fuss place that we hoped would be beautiful. The stars out here were bright enough to see the Milky Way, even though we were only a few minutes outside of Ashland. Lin is welcoming (even accommodating our late 9 pm arrival) and gave a great dinner recommendation - the Standing Stone Brewing Co. Lin even called the next day when she found some things we had left behind. The little guest house is clean and well organized. Two of us shared a bed and the other slept on a cot that he said was very comfortable. We used the internet and the nice little seating area in kitchen before turning in. (TV with DVDs were not used, but are a nice touch.) Woke up early and walked around the lakes and saw the chickens and orchard next door, also saw some very friendly dogs. There is a waiver to sign, but Lin explained it was just to protect the farm in case of accidents due to uneven ground, etc., since guests like me tend to wonder around. :)

Great Location! Our two bedroom house is just two blocks to the heart of Ashland, great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries, movie theater, Lithia Park, and The Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Simple, quiet, and clean.
The upstairs loft and Master suite are at opposite sides of house allowing for privacy. There is a dining nook off the kitchen as well as a dining table off the living room offering several places for writing, computer work, card games, etc. There is an outside table on the front porch of house for morning coffee or getting some of fresh air. Behind the house are two studio apartments with kitchenettes if you are traveling with additional friends or family. They are available under Helman House studios on Airbnb
Our neighborhood is an old residential mixed use neighborhood right off of the downtown Plaza area.

Enjoy breakfast with the hummingbirds on the redwood deck surrounded by wisteria and trumpet vines. This bright and cheery cottage has a cozy queen bed, a queen size hide-a-bed in the living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Short walk to theatres.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Cardinal! Julia, Jamie, and Brad were very communicative about our trip and made sure we had clear directions for access. The cottage was as described, with a comfy bed and lovely outdoor space. It was close to the downtown and provided a quaint stay in Ashland, we highly recommend the Cardinal!

A one-bedroom guest suite; attached, separate and private entrance.
Just a stone's throw to the plaza, a licensed one-bedroom vacation rental suite is tucked behind one of Ashland's charming craftsman-style bungalows. Your private gated entrance, located behind the house, opens onto a peaceful garden and quaint patio - a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee and the newspaper, or a glass of wine in the evening. In the summer and fall, help yourself to the ripe tomatoes, fresh herbs and fruit growing in the garden. The owner has lovingly created a sanctuary-like space within the town's premier historic district. Step back in time and enjoy a quiet retreat away from TVs and phones. (A wireless connection is available for your laptop should you wish.) Your separate, attached one-bedroom retreat awaits and features fine linens, cozy robes, a private bath and a fully-stocked kitchenette including organic tea, coffee, cream and sugar. Step inside: a cool, restful palette adorns a tastefully furnished room that includes period pieces such as an arts-and-crafts style armoire. You'll find a quiet, comfortable bedroom that overlooks an enchanted, fragrant flower garden. This inviting space features wood and tile floors, a ceiling fan, an A/C/heat unit, wall and space heaters, and plenty of windows so that you can take advantage of the abundant natural light and fresh mountain air. The bungalow is kept exceptionally clean using homemade, environmentally-friendly cleaners and a HEPA air purifier. Sorry, no smoking or pets. The on-site owner has been a resident of Ashland for the past twenty years. Your privacy is my utmost priority. If desired, I would be happy to guide you nearby hiking and biking trails, farmer's markets, wineries, hot springs and locally-grown organic food. I am also happy to supply you with anything you need during your stay. Ashland highlights such as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, Cabaret Theater, downtown plaza, restaurants, shops, and movie theaters are all within a lovely 10 - 15 minute walk. You'll stroll through a level, shaded historic neighborhood and cross a bridge over the gentle waters of Ashland Creek on your way there! To maximize your privacy, cleaning services are not included as part of your stay. Fresh linens will be provided to those guests staying one week or longer. The Stone's Throw Bungalow is an eco-friendly establishment. We encourage walking, biking, carpooling, bus riding, conservation, recycling and other practices that lessen your impact on the earth during your stay. Check-in time: 4:00 pm Check-out time: 11:00 am On-site luggage storage available upon request. Keywords: Bungalow Private kitchenette and bathroom. Laundry facilities in main house upon prior arrangement. I am available to answer questions as needed. Sometimes we'll encounter one another in the garden when I'm watering, weeding or harvesting. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to downtown. Bus line 2 blocks away. Bikes available to borrow - please inquire.
Beautiful, historic district with a number of well-cared-for Craftsman and Victorian homes. Mountain views and large, mature trees. Hiking, cycling, running and walking trails nearby. Well-lit streets and sidewalks. Safe at any time of the day or night. Parks, picnic spots, creeks, swimming holes and the town's attractions are all a short walk or bike ride away. Ashland Food Co-op and Farmer's Market are conveniently located.
  • Karin was wonderful and her place was immaculate. The attention to detail (fresh cut flowers, snacks, wine, toiltrees, etc.) was noteworthy and appreciated. The location is a reasonable walk to the heart of downtown, or a quick bike ride on the bikes provided by Karin (we chose this option). Karin was available to answer questions and provide local tips, but she also provided as much privacy as we desired. All in all, a fabulous option for a weekend Shakespeare Festival getaway. Thanks Karin!

  • Our stay at the Stone's Throw Bungalow was just delightful. The bungalow is beautifully appointed and Karin was kind enough to welcome us with coffee, yogurt, eggs and fruit. The lovely garden is right outside the door and a fire pit was all prepared for an evening campfire. We will be returning soon!

  • Karen was a fantastic host, I definitely recommend booking with her!

    Thomas2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karin was a wonderful host from booking through my departure. Even before I departed on my trip, Karin contacted me about the forest fires in the area, and the routes that I would be taking after I left her place in Ashland. It was way, way above and beyond - she continued to monitor the situation as I was headed up there, which was so appreciated by me. As to Stonesthrow Cottage, it is exactly as pictured - lovely inside and out. She has incredible taste and it shows in the way she's decorated the place - chic, beautiful colors and everything you could wish for in the kitchen, bath and living space. And her garden is such a stellar spot to enjoy morning coffee, an afternoon read or an evening whatever-you-are-inbibing! Karin is a thoughtful host - she provides a generous basket of morning treats that made for delicious breakfasts in the garden. She's there when you need her and not when you want your privacy. I'd highly recommend staying there to anyone who would like a very comfortable, relaxing and beautiful spot to stay in Ashland.

2000 SF home in the middle of the Bear Creek Wine Trail. 3 bedrooms + Loft, featuring high ceilings and huge windows with beautiful views of peaceful valley pastures and rolling hills. 15 minutes to Ashland, 10 minutes to Jacksonville.
The centerpiece of this house is a living area with a 30 foot high ceiling and a huge A-Frame window facing lush valley pastures and rolling hills. The house offers great privacy and can comfortably accommodate 9 people on two main floors plus a loft. There are 3 bedrooms, a loft bedroom, and a common sitting room with a bed. Bedroom One is on the entry level floor and has a queen size bed. Bedrooms Two and Three are downstairs and have connecting doors; Bedroom Two can be accessed through a bathroom or through bedroom Three. Bedroom Two has a queen size bed, and Bedroom Three has a queen sized futon. The common sitting room, also downstairs, has one twin size bed. The Loft has two twin size beds. There is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and a separate dining area with an adjoining outdoor balcony. The living area features a 52 inch wall mounted HDTV with DirectTV access. There is high speed internet and WiFi. Home features a 1.4 acre fenced yard with a section of grass along with mature oak and madrone trees. Groups of wandering deer often jump the fence and lounge in the shade of the trees. Spacious downstairs living area that opens directly onto deck and backyard. Home also has washer and dryer. Well-behaved pets are allowed and will enjoy the back yard (please see house rules for more details of pet policy).
Our home is located just off a country road that is ideal for bicycling. The typical sounds you will hear in the neighborhood are sheep, horses and cows from the surrounding farms (llamas are pretty quiet). You have privacy from other homes in the neighborhood, while also enjoying easy access from the road. As you walk, bicycle or drive around the winding, rolling country roads, you will encounter grape vineyards, pear orchards, and winery tasting rooms.
  • The kitchen was very well stocked and included everything we needed. The bathrooms included all the necessary soaps and shower gels. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. Anchi's house is a stellar example of what AirBnB accommodations should be like. This would be an awesome summer getaway where kids can run around outside and explore, all the while being safely fenced in. When we arrived Anchi checked with us to see if we had any questions or concerns.

  • Beautiful home with an absolutely stunning view! It was exactly as described, clean, quiet and very relaxing. Our group had a fabulous time in this amazing house.

    Angelynn2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • A group of family and friends, six humans and a dog, had a great five-day stay at Anchi's house in Medford. We felt welcome even before we arrived, with warm emails from Anchi. This continued when we got there--there was a bottle of wine from her favorite local winery, detailed and useful information about restaurants and shops, and a present for the dog. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. The living room, as wonderful as the pictures suggest, is full of light and provides a peaceful view of the countryside. I had to work quite a bit during our stay, but it was not a chore from the loft, which features (in addition to a twin bed) a desk and a very comfortable Herman Miller chair, plus a view that is even better than from the living room. The kitchen is well equipped, allowing us to serve both a fancy dinner and simpler meals. Desmond the dog loved the fenced-in backyard, especially galloping around the perimeter. One thing to be aware of: one of the bedrooms is accessed only via a bathroom on one side or another bedroom. That arrangement, however, worked fine for our group. This house is definitely a "pastoral retreat." You can't just stroll down to the plays in Ashland, but the beauty and tranquillity of the house more than make up for that. While Ashland may be a (short) drive, the charms of Jacksonville are that much closer. You may need to drive to the great restaurants Anchi recommended, but some wineries are very close by. In the end, the house itself was the star of the trip. Despite talk of fishing and other side trips, most of us just hung out at the house for most of the five days. Thank you, Anchi!

  • Nice getaway home, not too far from town... but it seems like we were far out in the country away from everything! Upon arrival, was a handwritten letter welcoming us to the house! Anchi was very helpful & responsive the few times I had any questions. Great host for sure! The house was clean, spacious & exactly what the photos / comments explained. Lastly, check in & check out was quick & easy. We even got to see a few deer in the yard late nights & early in the morning. We had a great time! Thanks again Anchi for everything!
