“Go for a stroll in Aarhus’ University Park and experience the unique campus atmosphere. The University Park is a nice place to enjoy a sunny day on the vast grass lawns with their shady trees, and you are surrounded by the iconic buildings and dorms of Aarhus University, and you will also find Aarhus Natural History Museum on the premises. The area is a lush, green oak park with a lake in the centre of the rolling moraine valley, where you will come across ducks and other wading birds. “Salling ROOFTOP The Salling Rooftop is a sensational roof terrace with a café and a urban oasis on the roof of the Salling department store in the centre of Aarhus. From the rooftop there are fabulous panoramic views of ARoS Art Museum, Aarhus Cathedral, the Aarhus Ø city quarter, and many other popular Aarhus locations. Cafe, cocktails and Friday events Salling Rooftop boasts absolutely spectacular views, and on the roof terrace there is also a lush green conservatory with a bar and café where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing cocktail. Here is also one of the lounge areas, which are all perfect for chilling out in, and a stage where a DJ kicks off the weekend every Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the "Fredag på Toppen" event. Glass sky platform On top of the roof, 25 meters above the pedestrianised high street 'Strøget', you can step out on a glass platform – if you dare! – and enjoy marvellous views of Aarhus from above from new and spectacular angles. It is a perfectly unique experience, and a chance to find out if you are scared of heights or not! Opening hours for the Salling ROOFTOP are the same as the department store's; and admission to the roof terrace is free. ”

“Lækker skov med udsigt over Århus bugt. Her er mange løbere, så er I til gode ruter, kan I sagtens finde nogle her! Der er nedgang til stranden fra skoven. Gør jer selv en tjeneste og tag en tur i Riis Skov, slå hjernen fra og hjertet til. Her kan I virkelig nyde et pusterum fra storbyens mylder.. Det kan især anbefales at benytte skoven i de tidlige morgentimer - der er en fantastisk ro.”
