Our home is one block from the 9th and 9th center on a quiet street. It is an older home that has been fully updated to ensure a comfortable stay with 5 beds plus foldout couch for groups. The house has an open floor plan, lots of light, new furnishings, and a great outdoor space to relax.

This home is on a quiet street, just 1 block from SLC's 9th & 9th gaslamp district which has lots of unique shops, top rated restaurants, theaters, and more. The house is fully updated and has a beautiful backyard deck and garden.

The house is a classic SLC bungalow on a quiet side street just one block from 9th and 9th. This was our home for 5 years before our kids started getting bigger and we moved about a mile away. We have kept the house for our parents to use when they visit from the east and west coast and rent when they are not here. The house is family ready and child proof, including child gates on the stairs. Dogs are allowed on the first floor only for an additional fee (there is a dog door and a fenced in yard), no cats.

The house has 3 full bedrooms plus a 4th bedroom that was an addition and has large windows which makes it a bit cold in the winter. About half the downstairs is underground, allowing the 2 bedrooms downstairs to have large windows (for light and egress), there is one bathroom downstairs.

We keep one 'owners' closet, but the house is yours to use. Our parents frequent it so you will find all the essentials - we only ask that you replace anything you finish (sugar, flour, ext..).

We live very close to the house, unless specifically requested we will provide a code to the lockbox for self check in. You can contact us via cell phone with any issues during your stay.

9th and 9th is, in my opinion, the best neighborhood in all of Salt Lake. We moved only 1 mile away and miss it regularly. It is home to Pago, the top rated restaurant in SLC, boutique shops, a taphouse, a thai restaurant, the coffee garden (who proudly put the Starbucks across the street out of business a few years ago), yoga and Pilates studios and more. The house is one block from 9th and 9th so you can walk to some of the top rated restaurants in SLC, boutique shops and a large grocery store (Smiths, 1.5 blocks away).
There is a local bus nearby that goes directly downtown, though I always recommend a car in Salt Lake City as parking is easy, the roads are wide and it is always convenient. The convention center/temple are 8 minutes away, Park City ski resorts are 30-45 minutes and the SLC ski resorts are 30-35 minutes.

The entire house is available including a backyard deck with grill and comfortable patio seating.

I work full time but will be able to respond to messages and help if needed. I also have a network of professionals to call for any issues that may arise. I also do my best to keep the calendar up to date but due to inevitable human error I do not allow instant book which gives me a chance to confirm each booking prior to accepting.

There is a bus stop on the corner about 200 feet away that goes downtown - though I always recommend a car in Salt Lake as it is so easy to park everywhere, including downtown. Uber/Lyft are active alternatives.

This place was great for our extended family on a trip to SLC. Convenient location, near 9th and 9th neighborhood and close to U of U and downtown, with easy access to freeways. Easy to get around and nearby park was great for the kids. House was clean and pleasant and host was great; very responsive when we had an issue. Definitely would stay here again.

I can say hand on heart Derek is a brilliant host... I only booked a few weeks prior to trvale (we were comming from the UK for a week) he made everything so easy, coulsdnt be more helpful, the accomodation was brilliant, the area very "trendy" with some lovely restaurants... We were also travelling with a 4 month old and Derek left some awesome toys out for her :) We absolutely loved it, will be ogin back again - I can fully reccomend. Thank you. Dan

Derek response time to questions was great. The house fit all of our needs, everything exceeded our expectations. The location of the home is awesome, close to so many places. Over all a great experience.

Derek was a great host to communicate with, very quick and the house was in an excellent location as described. We loved the porch out front, it was great to have a drink and enjoy the nice weather. It was perfectly clean, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

This house was so cute and comfortable to stay in! It had some extras we didn't expect and was close to the convention center as well as cute coffee shops and whole foods. I would definitely stay here again. Very spacious!
