Brian grew up in Sydney Australia. He is a veteran surfer and can share his insights into the best surf breaks in New Zealand or around the world for that matter. He might even give you a personal surf tour and share the best kept secrets if you play your cards right!
You may have heard of McGrigor surfboards. That’s Brian. He began shaping and manufacturing surfboards in 1961 under the brand name of East Coast Surfboards next door to his sister’s award winning Upper Crust pie shop on Pitt Water Road, Colloroy Beach.
Brian founded McGrigor Surfboards in 1970. The company went on to become one of the major surfboard brands in the 70s and 80s. Brian shaped and built boards all around the world, most recently in Byron Bay and you will find some of his earlier boards in museums around New Zealand and Australia.
Clare was born in Dublin Ireland. She is a Communications and Public Relations consultant. She also has a black belt in shopping. That’s where you come in. If your dream is to ‘shop till you drop’ or to find that special outfit for that special occasion, Clare is the person to talk to. She knows where to find top end designer labels and tell you where to go for great deals and outlet shopping.
Clare and Brian can make dining recommendations, make bookings on your behalf and make your stay in Auckland a truly successful and memorable experience.
