Being Georgian, the ceilings are high and the bedroom and living room are large. The furniture is period, but the beds are modern! The bathroom and kitchen are modern, designed for comfort and ease of use. The apartment looks out over Green Park.
Our Georgian self catering apartment in Green Park, right in the middle of Bath is in one of the city's 18th century terraces overlooking Green Park beside the River Avon. It combines Georgian style with modern comfort.
We welcome business people for longer stays as well as couples and families for shorter breaks. All amenities and Bath's attractions are to hand. Not only that, you will have a free car parking permit that allows you to park by the apartment as well as in other locations in the city centre.
The Supermarket is within a 3 minute walk, Cinemas and The Theatre Royal 5 minutes, the main Shopping streets and the Roman Baths 7 minutes, Pulteney Bridge, The Royal Crescent and the Railway Station no more than 10 minutes.
A tour of the apartment: You enter into the Hall which has a cupboard for the Freezer. In front is the modern Bathroom (8' x 6') with both bath and shower, hand basin and toilet. A heated towel rail will dry clothes as well as towels. To the right is the well proportioned Living Room (19' x 13') with two sofas one of which is a double sofa bed, dining table, large TV and all the electronic devices including DVD / Blue Ray, Radio / CD Player, WiFi and I Phone Dock.
To the right of the living room is the spacious Bedroom (18' x 13') with a monster size double bed, which can split into twins, and another single bed. So the apartment can accommodate 5 people of the right sizes. An Iron and Ironing Board are tucked away.
Off the far end of the living room, near the dining table, is the well equipped and practical Kitchen (9' x 8') with Cooking Hob and Oven, Fridge, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Microwave and Toaster.
Every room has an independently operated wall mounted electric heater giving you control of the heating.
There are some interesting books to read to help you make the most of your time in Bath.
Bath Spa Train Station is nearby and Bath has an excellent taxi service. You can also hire bikes nearby. Biking is very popular in Bath and the Twin Tunnels of the old Somerset & Dorset railway line were opened up in 2013.
We will greet you on arrival and explain everything to you but the main thing is to please leave the apartment as you find it. Please let us know if you damage anything. If the cost to us is minimal we will not charge you, but it will allow us to replace or repair the item. Similarly, if you notice anything broken on arrival please give us a chance to fix it! Strictly No Smoking.
My name is Fiona and I am married to William who helps me run the apartment. Leanne our Apartment Supervisor (cleaner) makes sure everything is ready for you on arrival. We have lived in Bath for over 25 years where we have brought up our three children. They are making their own way in the world now but luckily for us, love coming back to Bath. To make sure we are not idle, we also run a B&B at home and a holiday cottage in Cornwall. We love guests who come back! Travel is our great distraction, every year to the Isle of Arran in Scotland and once a year we go further afield - India most recently. We both play Bridge and Tennis and generally like living here!
