I loved hosting Brandon. Charming & NY cool. I totally appreciate his spot on posting about the + and - points of Lower Dover so future guests can be educated before they arrive.
Yes you can get here by bus but we are a 15-20 min walk from the bus stop. And without a moon, IT IS VERY DARK in the jungle so we don't like guests arriving by bus at night. Next to our highway sign there is a hardware store (UV Store) & the clerk there will call us for a free pick up during the day. Just keep in mind that Lower Dover IS in a 100 acre jungle, surrounded by rivers, has big on-site Maya ruins, is near the ATM Cave & you can get here by (Website hidden by Airbnb) that long dirt drive-way is worth it.
If you are from the frozen north, you wouldn't know that there are geico lizards everywhere in the tropics, yes even in your rooms (small enough to crawl under the door) . Embrace having Geico's around you since these friendly lizards eat tons of bugs you hate to have in your room. Brandon is also right about the weak WiFi signal in the RASTA Suite. You have to hang out in the common area (pool hall) to get the best signal. In the next 45 days, we are remodeling the area around RASTA and better WiFi signals are in the plans.
Thanks again to Brandon for his feedback. His advise is taken to heart.
