Its unfortunate that Mr. Gaspare was dissatisfied with the accommodations that I provided. I did do my best to be a good host and make the guests as comfortable as possible. However, perhaps due to a language barrier as Mr. Gaspare did not speak any English, it was difficult to engage him and communicate. The only house rule that I have listed on our page is that guests do not walk around the house with shoes on that have been worn outside. This is because the streets are not very clean and because I often walk in the house without shoes on, its very important to me that street dirt and grim isn't spread all over the floors. I brought this to the guest's attention more than once but this house rule was completely ignored as they walked around the house for their full stay with their shoes on. On admission I indicated to them that they had access to the fridge, microwave and toaster oven. In addition, throughout their stay they basically just took over my kitchen, cooking several times without asking me if they could use the stove to cook and where they can locate utencils and other stuff that they needed. Instead, they began searching the whole kitchen to find the stuff they needed to cook. I would of course be happy to provide a guest with items they needed if they wanted to cook. But in this case it did make me uncomfortable as the guests rummaged through all kitchen cupboards looking for stuff to use without taking a moment to ask me if they could use my stove and these items and where those items could be found.
Also, a few days before their departure, I got home to find a pot of water boiling on the stove and both Mr gaspare and his son were out. They walked in about 15 to 20 minutes later. Apparently, his son went to the supermarket and left the pot of water on a high flame. This was very irresponsible.
In regards to the cleanliness, I keep my home very clean. Nothing is perfect but my home relatively clean.
. These guests were problematic and I would not recommend them
