Located in an olive grove, close to woodland and with the Monti Lepini as a backdrop, the cottage provides a tranquil base from which to explore southern Lazio's beaches, hill towns and mountains.
Guests love the fact that the setting is so tranquil. The cottage is located well away from the main house and is quite private. The terrace gets the morning sun and the trees ensure shade in the heat of the day.
The property is around one hectare (2 acres) and so there is plenty of space! Access from the main gate is along a gravelled road that winds through the olive grove and alongside a small wood. Guests have their own set of keys and can therefore come and go as they please. If you want peace and quiet, then you won't be disturbed. If you want to wander over for a chat, that's grand, we love to make new friends - many guests come back year after year.
Interazione con gli ospiti
We are not always available, as we are sometimes abroad, but when we are, we can usually be found pottering around the garden and are more than happy to suggest places to visit and things to do. Our bulldog, Bella, loves children and is very friendly.
Altre cose da evidenziare
Although it is possible to reach the cottage using public transport, really the only practical way is by car. Visits to Roma and Napoli are probably best done by train from the local station, Sezze Romano, which is a 15 minutes drive away.
Although the cottage doesn't have internet access, there are a couple of bars within five minutes drive where free WiFi is available
If you smoke, we prefer guests to do so outside rather than inside the cottage. As we wrote above, we have a dog, if yours is sociable, and not too large then you're welcome to bring them - but remember with such a large property, we can't guarantee that they won't dig a tunnel under the fence as they go exploring!
