Habib's apartment is the ground floor of a traditional semi detached house, and it is really lovely. A big surprise, as most of the houses in the area are fully of Upvc windows and a concrete front yard.
Habib's place is really delightful, with a profusion of flowers in the front garden and a gorgeous and peaceful back garden.
The décor is artistic, cosy, spacious and full of intelligence - there are books and lovely shabby chic mismatched colourful door knobs and Persian tiles.
Habib himself is charming, gentle, and very welcoming. He is eager to help, but is unobtrusive. The bedroom was large, super comfortable bed and very quiet. . As well as being beautifully clean, little things like fresh flowers on a table in the bedroom made it feel very homely. I have family in the area, and we have previously stayed in faceless hotels or fairly grim b&bs, but this is a really refreshing and excellent value option. Brent Cross tube (northern line) is just five minutes walk.
