Private room in a 2-flr duplex (owner lives and works upstairs)
Very sunny, super comfy king-sized bed, AppleTV (w/ Netflix), 32" TV, JBL speakers (wirelessly stream music), A/C & heater, super high-speed wifi
4th floor (no elevator)
(Sorry - no photo shoots, video shoots, or events)
The living room reflects my bi-cultural background, having spent half of my life in Morocco and the other half in the US. There are Moroccan rugs, poufs, and other trinkets intermingled with modern American furniture. I have personally purchased and brought all of the Moroccan items from Morocco - so they're doubly authentic :).
The living room has a nice sound system with:
- vinyl record player
- AM/FM tuner
- Airplay (if you want to stream music wirelessly from your iPhone or Mac)
The kitchen has a French Press and a Chemex for making coffee, a Magic Bullet (for smoothies), a handy little food processor, and all of the utensils you'd expect to find in a kitchen. Feel free to cook up a storm, as long as you put everything in the dishwasher when you're done :)
I am the owner and host of this lovely condo. I often travel out of the country for my primary music project, but when I'm in NY, I live in this condo. As an Airbnb guest in my condo, you would have your own private bedroom in the downstairs portion of the duplex, and I would work, live, sleep upstairs in my studio. The terrace that is pictured in this listing is only accessible from my upstairs studio. But I'm totally open to having guests come upstairs to enjoy the terrace, as long as it's not during inconvenient hours.
The only rules I have - other than please be a friendly, sane, clean, considerate human being :) - are:
- no shoes
- you can smoke but only outside (balcony on the 1st floor, or terrace on the 2nd floor)

I am a Moroccan-American musician and multimedia artist focusing on the intersection between traditional music (from Morocco and beyond) and digital art. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) search for officerfishdumplings if you're interested :)
