Finding this property was a bit crazy. we used the originally listed address, but (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps took us to a completely different/wrong location. the host had to end up driving about 15 minutes to come and pick us up where our taxi dropped us off. so if you are thinking of staying here, make sure you navigate to "Plus Condominum 2", which is the name of the actual name of the building/property.
Aside from this initial hiccup, the property was just as described. the photos matched up as advertised. the condo is located on the 8th/top floor of the building, so you get a nice view of Kathu from the bedroom and deck. It was clean, modern, and comfortable. note there isn't actually a tv in bedroom.
The apartment includes a small washing machine which was a lifesaver for us during our stay. the property also had 2 AC units and WiFi was included. Overall..., my wife and I were very happy with the property itself.
Upon checking in, Tony (host) provided us with a keycard to get in/out of building and a key to the condo. Tony also made himself available via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Messenger so that I could ask him any questions and get some local advice. He suggested a local seafood restaurant which was located about 7 minutes away (driving), and it was awesome. The restaurant was full of locals, super busy, outdoor, friendly, delicious, clean and not overpriced. My wife and I ended up getting dinner there on 2 nights! Make sure to ask Tony about it.
One super important thing you may want to keep in mind if your thinking of staying here and you are a foreigner/"farang" is that it is in the middle of Phuket. it takes about 25-35 minutes of driving to get to any beach. My wife and I ended up renting a car from one of the ladies that partners up with the building/property, but in retrospect, we should have just rented a car at the airport. it cost of 600+ Baht to get to this property from the airport..., and it cost us another 800 Baht to get back to the airport. all of these transportation expenses would have been avoided if we had just rented our own car from the airport. And if your worried about parking the vehicle, the building has several parking spots available. Just make sure you have your international driver's permit with you at time of rental.
Renting a motorbike/scooter is also an option, but if you are interested in visiting the beaches, I strongly suggest renting a car instead. yes, it will be more expensive, but it is also way more comfortable and a lot safer. it also saved my wife and I from getting rained on while everyone else had to run for cover on the motorbikes on 2 occasions. Just take it slow and drive super conservatively, especially if your not used to driving in Thailand. It can be super crazy.
