Cozy Healdsburg home on a quiet road along the Russian River and only 5 minutes to the Healdsburg town square and close to many great wineries, restaurants, activities and events.
Quail’s Gate cabin sits among several miles of winding road that mirror the Russian River east of Healdsburg. The homes along this stretch of road (North and South Fitch Mountain Road) are often collectively referred to as “river homes”. You will find a lot of coziness in this area – the road, the trees, the river and most certainly the homes. It is pretty eclectic here and we love it. We also think North Sonoma is one of the most interesting and exciting wine regions you will find.
Please note the list of 3 or 4 night minimum stays below.
When you walk up the stairs from the road into the private yard of our cabin you will see that this modest 1100 sq. ft. home is nestled in the trees just across from Camp Rose Beach. There are filtered river views from the large front deck - set up for sunning and relaxing.
While we do have two bedrooms, we have setup our cabin as a couples retreat and limit the number of quests to two. We love to cook and you will have access to the fully stocked kitchen. We will try to keep basic cooking supplies stocked (e.g., spices, flour, sugar, condiments, etc.) so you are not having to buy things you will only use a few times. You can use whatever you find in the kitchen as it there for you. We will also make sure you have coffee and tea available. All linens and towels are provided.
You're also welcome to use the washer and dryer. The open living room has a tree house feel with tree top views. It's equipped with a flat screen TV, cable and classic films. If you want to stay connected there is high-speed (average 20mb/s) internet access and a small office to set up your computer.
Even better, you can grab the umbrella, towels and a couple of beach chairs and relax by the river because it's just across the street. A bend in the Russian River creates a large beach and a wonderful safe swimming area.
Quails' Gate cabin is perfectly situated for exploring. Healdsburg square is just 2 miles away. There are numerous shops, restaurants and wineries to enjoy in town. Within minutes there are too many terrific wineries to mention. Healdsburg also offers bike, canoe and kayak rentals. The charming plaza hosts numerous events.
When you arrive there is off-street parking for two cars - 1 full size and 1 midsize. Our caretakers, Len and Laura, who live on the property, will greet you and answer any questions you might have when you arrive and during your stay.
Please note that there are approximately 25 steps from the road up to the cabin. These are gradual steps (i.e., not steep) but please consider this if stairs are an issue. Please remember this is a non-smoking property. TOT certificate number is 2749N.

Enjoy traveling a great deal and have a job that takes me overseas frequently; due to this I spend a lot of time in hotel rooms so much prefer to stay in private residences when possible.
