Our beautiful, natural guesthouse is part of a 1.3-acre eco-urban permaculture site & sanctuary to the divine feminine. We're a few blocks from downtown Asheville, bordering 60 acres of wooded trails. This is a dynamically beautiful place to live, learn & grow. We are health-conscious & community-minded. The Sage Room is airy, filled with light & comfortably sleeps 2 people in 2 twin beds.

Our beautiful, natural guesthouse & sanctuary are a few blocks from downtown Asheville, NC where there is so much to enjoy! You can walk out the door & into town in just 8-minutes -- with tons of local restaurants, galleries, an indie theatre & amazing street life. Or you can walk out back into our bordering 60 acres of serene wooded trails. We are a 3-minute drive to the Biltmore Estate & a few more to the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are two houses on site — one is the main guesthouse, the other is where I live with friends. We're surrounded by extensive gardens & a recycled stone courtyard.

The 1,850 sq ft. guesthouse is beautiful & peaceful with tons of natural sunlight. Custom-made clay plasters, curved corners, built-in niches, arches & hardwood floors throughout. Large shared kitchen, open dining room, spacious common area, 1.5 bathroom & co-office with several desks. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment. The house is heated by wood & each room has a heater for extra warmth. We are surrounded by a permaculture designed edible landscape & a recycled stone courtyard. There is wifi throughout the house. Laundry is in the basement. Free street parking is available.

The Sage Room is a favorite of mine. With beautiful southeast light, the room is sunny, warm & airy feeling. The walls have a gorgeous layered finish. The room is fully furnished with two twin beds that can be put together to make a king. We supply towels, extra pillows, blankets & everything else you would need to have a comfortable stay here. All the rooms have closets, space heaters, a fan & their own keys so you can lock your room while you're out.

We are minutes from the food co-op, organic cafés, restaurants & a number of yoga studios. The backyard leads to 60 acres of woods with hiking trails. We're a few minute drive or bike ride to 8,000 acres of gorgeous trails at the Biltmore Estate. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 8 minutes away by car.

Eating local, organic, fresh food. Folks who are into yoga, meditation, nature, permaculture, community, kindness & conscious living. Guests who are tidy & clean up after themselves in common areas & are respectful of others. We are smoke-free & prefer minimal drinking

Our women-led Sanctuary team has developed this 1.3-acre site into a demonstration of integrated ecological (and social) systems. We believe in creating the world we want to live in by putting our beliefs into practice in our own backyard. We grow food & medicine, capture & use rainwater & show others how to do the same. Some of our crew live on site, with other friends & colleagues visiting often.

Highlights include:
- Beautiful and organic edible, medicinal & flowered landscape
- Woodland area with earthen structures & access to trails
- Outdoor cooking area with wood-fired stove & oven
- Biological, mycological & geological remediation
- Bees, compost & mushroom production
- Recycled urbanite patio

- A 6.75% additional room occupancy tax is required. Please calculate this amount when booking your reservation, as it does NOT show up on Airbnb's website. This can be paid upon arrival.
- If you have a pet traveling with you, please contact me first.

Check in was easy and Hannah had communicated with me several times beforehand even though she was unable to be there when I arrived. It was a little difficult to find the house because the numbers were obscured by the beautiful vegetation, so finding my way in the first time was a bit of a challenge. That said, the setting and gardens were fabulous. Parking was easy because of McCormick Field a short distance away. I would certainly stay here again.

The room looked like the picture, and the lush environment was very peaceful. The neighborhood is very convenient to downtown & the River Arts District. The temperature unexpectedly reached 90 when there, so I would have preferred air conditioning. Fans were available to cool the room for sleeping

Good directions to get to Ashevillage, they sound a bit complicated on paper but as you get close it all falls into place. Sadly Quinn was away so I let myself and sorted myself out. I was imagining a more rural setting from the description and it's just a house on a regular street a few minutes drive outside of Asheville. Everything was clean if a little tired... I felt as if I was staying in a neatly keep student house near a University campus where the resident students had gone away for the vacation. There are 3 other bedrooms with two and three beds all sharing a perfectly nice bathroom but that added to the 'student' feel. My fellow guests were a nice bunch of guys having a college reunion and we all rubbed along OK. The shared fridge with shelves marked for each guest makes sense but again adds to the student/apartment sharing vibe. The laundry in the basement was a scene from Home Alone and I had to take the house laundry out for two days running to wash and dry a couple of shirts. Perhaps the atrocious rain for the two days I was there cast a negative pall over the stay... maybe in sunshine it's a bit brighter. However considering price of hotel accomodation in Asheville it was excellent value... actually very very good value.

I enjoyed staying at the sanctuary in the sage room. It was relatively quiet as I was the only tenant that week. Quinn was there to meet me when I arrived and gave me the grand tour. She was also my hero as she vacuumed up some wasps that made their way into the room. I also liked the garden in the back yard, which gave me some ideas for my house. Thanks guys!

I had an incredible stay at Ashevillage. It was my first time in Asheville and they made me feel welcome right away. I made friends with some of the other guests and apprentices so I never felt isolated. It's a peaceful atmosphere....nothing like going to sleep to the sounds of crickets and frogs in the sanctuary and waking to the birds singing their beautiful melodies. I spent a fair amount of time in the meditation room overlooking the sanctuary. I also found an incredible book in the "reading room" that they let me borrow until I finished. Thank you. I went and bought my own copy and going to take a class on the subject. I would definitely recommend the Sage Room or any other room at Ashevillage.

The house was beautiful, the company was phenomenal, and the garden was perfect! Close to downtown, but also like a little sanctuary nearby. Really wonderful, and I would stay again! Thanks, Quinn!
