Lovely typical Montreal apartment on a quiet residential street in the heart of Verdun.
Easily fits two but can accommodate up to four. Enjoy your own balcony plus a huge
shared backyard! Super close to Atwater Market! Discounts for weekly/monthly
Staying at this apartment means you get to stay on the first floor of a typical Montreal plex in the heart of Verdun. While on a residential street you are just a minute’s walk from both Rue de l’Eglise and Rue Wellington, the two main roads in the neighbourhood, so you really have the best of both worlds!
This Montreal apartment has been my home for several years and I have kept it in very good condition. It gets a lot of light, has wooden floorboards and the neighbours are quiet. There is a park just behind my house and the nearest supermarket is under a minute away at the end of my street!
It will comfortably accommodate 2 people, but can accommodate an extra 2 less fussy guests.
The apartment has a double bed. For extra guests I have a single air mattress, and the couch is long enough even for a tall person to sleep on!
There is a fully kitted out kitchen with absolutely everything you will need: stove, oven, fridge, freezer etc. There is a table to sit and eat at that seats 2, and in the dining area another that seats 4.
There is a lovely balcony with chairs and a table and a massive backyard that although it is shared, is barely used by my neighbours.
You will have access to an iPod jack and stereo, and a large TV with cable!
I also have one bike that you can borrow.

I am more than happy to help with anything I can in order to make your stay fantastic. Whilst I will most likely be away myself during your stay, I will always be easily contactable.
Verdun, or the Brooklyn of Montreal as it’s known to some of its locals, really is one of the best, and up and coming neighbourhoods you could stay in in this city. In the South West, it’s a far more authentic neighbourhood than those in the North East like the Plateau. This is mostly because of its strong community vibe as well as its many close
by non-touristy attractions.
The Atwater Market with all its fresh produce is a lovely 25-minute walk or only a 5-minute bus ride away! And its open every day! Directly next to the market is the ideal place to have a picnic, the Lachine Canal. A perfectly picturesque little corner of the city not normally discovered by tourists, it also has cycle paths that run the length of the canal/river all the way downtown.
If you cross to the other side of the canal you will find the St-Ambroise Terrace. St-Ambroise is a delicious local beer and at the brewery they have a terrace where you can sit outside and sample to your heart’s content.
Within walking distance there are many excellent restaurants, bars, supermarkets, speciality stores, pharmacies and depanneurs. Oh and the best Frix-Prix (thrift store) around! You really won’t be wanting for anything in this area.
Un giro nei dintorni
This apartment is extremely well located for public transport as it is only a 5-minute
walk to the Metro station. The Metro station is called De l’Eglise and it is on the green line. It is only 3 stops to Lionel-Groulx station where you can change to the orange line.
From De l’Eglise the journey time on the metro to Berri-Uqam is approximately 20 minutes.
The journey time to downtown is approximately 15 minutes.
There are night buses that run from downtown to the end of my street as well.
A cab from downtown costs around twenty dollars, so getting home after a night out wont be a problem.
To get to my apartment from the airport catch the 747 bus and get off at Lionel-Groulx ,then take a metro to De l’Eglise.

Whilst my dog will go to stay elsewhere, my two cats will be in the apartment during your stay. Shera and Riff Raff are both very well behaved and shouldn’t cause you any trouble at all.
Please treat my home and belongings with respect, as it is a home, not a hotel. Due to my cats, I’m afraid I can’t allow any more pets to stay. Please make sure that you will be present to look after the cats. Smoking on the balcony only.

My name is Jessica and I am from Montreal.
I live in Verdun, an up and coming neighborhood in the city, which is incredibly charming. It has great restaurants, shopping and a community feel.
During the day, I work for a non profit organization. I have been lucky enough to travel the world participating in our projects, as well as focus on local Canadian youth and actively engaging them in social justice.
I love cooking ( well and eating), going to concerts, hanging out on a patio in the summer, watching terrible reality television and hanging out with my dog.
As a guest or a host, I believe in active communication and listening. As a host I will do my best to accommodate your needs, and vice versa. I also have two cats, so if you are renting the place, they come with it. They are sweethearts though and love a full belly and a little rub.
Life motto: "You will hear thunder and remember me, and think: she wanted storms".
