The location is wonderful, with easy access to Quilcene (where there is one grocery store - nothing to write home about - so if you are in a position to bring provisions with you, so much the better. We did find a good farm stand for produce near there.), and it was an amazing treat to harvest our own oysters from the beach below to grill. Lissa lent us the gloves and bucket for doing that, and we had several nice, if brief conversations with her. She was completely easygoing about our dog, which was a pleasure for us. The only negative is the decor, which feels like a lot of leftovers from other houses. We were three people, and there were either just enough dishes of a given type (plate, bowl, etc.) for the three of us, or one extra, but that extra was chipped. Despite this, we would go back without question!

What a wonderful place! Lissa could not have been more accommodating and kind, the use of the beach and offer of the canoe wonderful, felt like staying in a tree house with kind neighbors, eagle and seal sightings. Also the quiet was incredible. Close to everything we wanted to see and a pleasure to just stay and enjoy. Can't wait to return! (And the blue moose cafe in port Townsend was a great recommendation.)

Beautifully serene property with gracious home provisions and outdoor space. Easy drive to nearby hiking. Worked well for our 2 families with 1 toddler each. Closest town does not have much to offer beyond basics but other nearby charming towns.

We love this place! It is our second visit. The woods and the beach provide everything that my grandchildren need for rest and relaxation before school starts. Lissa and Jay are so gracious and welcoming.
