A truly unique setting within this beach side community. You will first notice the lush tropical landscape filled with bright colors, waterfalls, large ponds and fountains. Overlooking the gardens and with Anaehoomalu Bay visible through the trees.

We welcome you to our sanctuary at the Shores of Waikoloa, a truly unique setting within this beach side community. Our unit, #338, is on the top floor and easily accessed by an elevator (or stairs).This one bedroom open floor plan will help you relax and live Aloha!

Guests can walk to the pool nearby or the fitness center, tennis courts. The Waikoloa Beach resort lends itself to walking and The Shores is a pleasant walk to Kings Shops or Queens Marketplace.

The pool and spa are a 100 yards walk but no sound reaches our unit. Outdoor barbecues are adjacent to our building and the tennis courts and fitness facility are about a four minute walk. The walking score is high as the Kings Shops, featuring fine dining and unique shops, are nearby. "A-bay" is one of the best beaches on the Big Island for water sports and if you like long walks on the beach you are bound to see sea turtles basking in the sun there.

This villa is well equipped with beach equipment, cooking tools, and toiletry items. The unit was extremely clean upon arrival like the feel of a hotel yet included all the conveniences that your beach home might.

The unit is adequate, good location, but could be better outfitted: knives, Windex, broom, coat hangers, guest safe, bath soap. It should also be advertised as a non-smoking property (whole condo complex and grounds).

I appreciate you noting we need to update the whole complex is non-smoking, not just inside. I also am following up on upgrading the photos of new couches and suggestions for kitchen. You mentioned pricing and your reservation was taken before Airbnb changed how they split out pricing for taxes. They used to bundle pricing to include taxes. Our normal rate in the winter (until March 31st) is $189; when you add TAT and GE taxes, that adds up to $25.38 per night and that is what you paid. I know this is your first time using Airbnb so I wanted to better explain so you understand how the pricing works. Aloha, Heidi

Great rental. Nice place, quiet, convenient to attractions, groceries, restaurants and shops. We walked to tropics ale house several times and even high end dining in walking distance. GOOD communication, clean on arrival, looks like photos. Excellent value. Pool an fitness center close by. Grounds maintained nicely. Conveniences such as washer dryer in unit, paper products, cleaning supplies, brochures. Television and furnishings good. Bed comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend and would come back. The only cautionary information I would offer is that air conditioner cannot be set below 72 Fahrenheit. For warm natured persons, this may be undesirable. It does conserve energy and many Hawaiian properties do not offer climate control, so the limitation is not unreasonable.

Had a wonderful stay at Shores-338. Unit was as advertised. Good amenities, close to the beach and the Island Market for groceries. Had no problems with the internet, which was a pleasant surprise. Some of the appliances are somewhat old (e.g. the dishwasher) and noisy (e.g. washer/dryer), but nothing too bad. Would definitely stay again. TIP: Tropics Ale House is walking distance, and cheaper than most things on the island. Try happy hour from 3-6 and they do takeout.
