A colorful, cozy, and eclectic pad in one of NYC's most desirable "undiscovered" neighborhoods. Great for couples, outdoors lovers, and music fans.

This is a lovely, recently renovated true one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors throughout. It's a gem of an apartment, and a great place to hide away or spring from on your New York adventure.

The bedroom (15x18) is airy and uncluttered so it feels great in there. There's a memory foam double bed just for you and curtains to shut out the light. You can hear birds chirping in the morning, and little else! There are towels, an iron and ironing board, and room to hang things.

The living room/office has an L-shaped couch, chair, desk, dinner table, and shelves. The couch turns into a queen sized bed. There are fresh sheets in the hidden cupboard of the couch. There are plants, a desk to write at, wifi, and great books to browse.

The living room is adjoining the kitchen - not separate, and the kitchen has little counter space but a full stove, big refrigerator, microwave, and full set of cookware. There is a coffee pot, tea kettle, and breakfast foods waiting for you!

The bathroom is brand new, has a full tub and tile floors. It's very sunny and wonderful and my living room window looks out directly onto the Cloisters and a small, lovely church across the street. There is a hair dryer, and fresh shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided.

I'm a musician so there's a piano you can play, great sound system, and lots of books on music for you to be inspired by.

The building is a lovely, safe, 1930s structure with stained glass windows in the entryway. Fifth floor walkup, but it's not as much of a drag as you think, since the halls are big, airy, and well-lit. It's quiet as can be in the building. There are laundry facilities on site.

There's a 24 hour supermarket, bank, 24 hour restaurant, pizza shop, NY branch library, and two delis on the block. There's a Saturday green market three blocks away. There are several great bars, some really posh restaurants, and a variety of new sushi, smoothie and other NYC style spots on the block too.

Inwood is probably the best secret neighborhood in Manhattan - it is also the last neighborhood on the north of the island. There are two HUGE and wonderful parks nearby (Inwood Hill and Fort Tryon) so joggers, tennis players, and nature lovers will be thrilled. These parks are amazing, underused, and safe.

The apartment is by the Dyckman A train and five short blocks from the Dyckman 1 train. It takes about 40 minutes to get to West 4th on the A from here during the day. If you're out late it takes a while - maybe an hour. There's a parking garage a block away and it's about $15 a day to park there.

You have access to the whole apartment: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room.

The place is for you!

This is a fun, safe, 24-hour friendly neighborhood with many restaurants and a refreshing, quiet feel that makes it great for light sleepers and solace needing types.

There is an A train on the block - Dyckman Stop. The 1 train also stops at Dyckman, but is a three block walk (head east).
