1 block to Light Rail Station: Easy airport access, 10 minute ride to Seahawks/Mariners Stadiums, Downtown, UW. Sunny basement unit (private entry, large living room, bedroom, bathroom, laundry, kitchenette). Quiet & walkable neighborhood. Coffee a half-block away, Grocery store two blocks away.
This is a recently updated one-bedroom basement apartment. It is completely separate from the upstairs unit (where we live) and has it's own private key-code entry on the side of the house. We do quite a bit of our own traveling and pride ourselves in creating a space for our guests that we would feel comfortable staying in ourselves. It is clean and cozy with some vintage flair in a modern space. If you need anything at all while you are here, one of us is usually on-site or nearby much of the time to help out with any requests.
While there isn't a full kitchen there is a full refrigerator you may use as well as the following kitchen appliances:
3. Hot Plate
4. Electric Kettle
5. French Press
6.Miscellaneous utensils for cooking/eating
Oh, and we should probably note that the jacuzzi tub is amazing! Feel free to turn on the jets and enjoy.
You have full access to the space (except for the one storage room that is locked). There are stairs leading up to the rest of the house but the door at the top of the stairs will remain locked.
Street parking is available, but zoned and a two hour limit without a pass. We will provide a parking pass upon request, just let us know if you'll need it. The $100 security deposit covers the replacement fee for this pass if it isn't left in the apartment before check-out. There is a two hour parking limit without the pass.
Interazione con gli ospiti
Unless we are traveling ourselves, we will be on-site (upstairs) for at least some of your stay. We will also be available by phone (text or call) during most hours. One of us has a home office, and will likely be home during the day.
Altre cose da evidenziare
Our dog, Maddie, is a super sweet Border Collie. She will not be in your space during your stay and lives upstairs only. She is occasionally downstairs for short periods between guests, so if you're highly allergic, please keep this in mind. If you hear a bark or two during your stay, it's just Maddie saying 'Welcome to Seattle', or greeting the mailman (they have a complicated relationship).
1. We would prefer that you don't invite non-guests into the space but if you let us know ahead of time then we could probably make an exception.
2. We're not sure who decided to put such light colored carpet in the space but please, oh please, if you don't mind taking off your shoes at the door that would save us from having to do a deep carpet cleaning every time we rotate guests.
3. Absolutely no smoking in the house. If you smoke outside please do so away from the door, near the sidewalk at the end of the alley.
4. Overall, just behave like a respectful human being and everything should be grand.
We love traveling, eating good food, exploring the outdoors, listening to good music and being inspired by art and the people who create it. We are proud to call Seattle our home since 2009.
