We moved here from Christchurch in 2012 a year after the Earthquakes after having had a family Holiday Home up here for a few years we knew the area well. Keen travellers ourselves we love to hear our guests stories of their travels around New Zealand and the rest of the world as well as tales from their own countries and home towns. Giving us plenty of information to share with other guests and to use to explore more of the world ourselves in the future. Both of us are enjoy walking and biking and make the most of the wonderful tracks here in Hanmer Springs with our youngest son and two small dogs Rosie and Max. We have enjoyed being part of our wonderful community and love helping out with the local school on their Home and School Committee and volunteering as much as we can for the local race events that bring money into our community and supports many local charities. Garry is keen on Golf although doesn't get to play a lot and plays darts over the winter months and our son and I have been involved in one of the local musicals which was great fun. All these things have helped us to immerse ourselves into this wonderful community and to make some wonderful friends here. Both keen photographers we have many of our personal photo’s on display from our travels and also both like to cook, read, watch movies and listen to music when we can. It's always great to hear of a new book to read or a great wine to try. We do our utmost to ensure our guests know as much as they can about our B and B and Hanmer when they arrive and make ourselves available at anytime to ensure any questions can be answered. We serve breakfast in the mornings giving us a chance to chat individually and as a group with our guests and adding just that little bit of a personal touch to their stay.
