Rod, We are sorry that you feel that you had a poor experience. We were devastated when we heard about the mouse being in the house. We are located on a 240 acre, 200 year old peach plantation home on a working cattle farm. When one leaves the door propped open to carry suitcases and coolers in, it does not surprise me that you let in a mouse. They go right for warm places in the fall. When the issue was brought to our attention we attended to it immediatley! Just as you described, we caught the little rascal the very next morning! Then the rest of your stay was mouse free! As far as the driveway goes, It is .07 mile of gravel, yes. And the county road is one lane, paved. You were having a farm stay!!!! All of this information is covered in the description on Airbnb listing. As well as the limited cell phone coverage. We also showed you both areas where you can recieve service. EMS and police know exactly where you are while staying at Blue Wing Landing they even have your coordinates for life flight! We would advise you to completely read your listing before booking next time. We are a working cattle farm, you never know what may happen! We feel that things got of on the wrong foot starting with you asking for a discount, which we granted. Then you showed up with two more people, going from 8 guests to 10 and then did not want to pay for them! You did not follow house rules and left it in the worst shape anyone in five years has left it! You completely disrespected the historical home. We are trying to preserve it for future generations to experience our wonderful history, mature forest and gorgeous river. We would NEVER allow you or any of your people to stay at Blue Wing Landing Inn again.
